Card Trivia:The Winged Dragon of Ra - Immortal Phoenix
- This is the cover card of Millennium Pack and Millennium Pack: Lite Edition.
- This monster is the card representation of the Egyptian God Phoenix.
- Despite the English localizers' stance on sticking to names used in the English dub of the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime, this card's name was localized as "The Winged Dragon of Ra - Immortal Phoenix" when it was released in the TCG in 2016, as opposed to keeping the "Egyptian God" term from the dub.
- The card's ability to Special Summon itself from the Graveyard is a reference to Yami Marik's strategy. He would regularly send "The Winged Dragon of Ra" to the Graveyard by various card effects, and then Special Summon it straight to the field, mainly using "Monster Reborn", and switch it to Phoenix mode.
- This card's effect to Special Summon "The Winged Dragon of Ra - Sphere Mode" by sending itself to the Graveyard at the End Phase is a reference to a scene in Yami Yugi and Yami Marik's Battle City Duel in the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga and anime, where Yami Marik activates "Surprise Attack from Beyond" to repeat his Battle Phase at End Phase (of which "The Winged Dragon of Ra", in its Phoenix mode, is sent to the Graveyard as it was Special Summoned) and Special Summon "The Winged Dragon of Ra" back in its Sphere mode.
