  • This is one of the very few legal cards to not have a password at all, even those coded into video games.
    • This is also the only password-less card in the TCG as of August 2023.
  • This card's effects are based on the appearances of "The Winged Dragon of Ra's" Sphere Mode in the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga and anime.
    • This card's Summoning condition allowing it to be Tribute Summoned from either side of the field references a scene during Mai Valentine and Yami Marik's Duel where Mai took "The Winged Dragon of Ra" from Marik's hand with the effect of "Amazoness Chain Master" and Tribute Summoned it.
    • This card's effect preventing it from attacking and shifting control to its owner references how Mai was unable to attack with it due to it being locked in Sphere Mode, but Marik chanted the hieratic text on this card during his turn, allowing him to take control of it.
    • This card's effect to Special Summon "The Winged Dragon of Ra" from the hand or Deck, ignoring its Summoning conditions, references how Yami Marik unlocked it from its Sphere Mode by chanting the hieratic text on the card.
  • This is the first card that can be Normal Summoned to the opponent's side of the field.
  • This card's Yu-Gi-Oh! Reshef of Destruction artwork is taken from the title page of Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel 222 (Duelist Duel 163): "The Rise of Ra!", showing "The Sun Dragon Ra" in its Sphere Mode.
