- This card is most likely based on the Japanese legend of the Oni, ogres who often wore tigers skin clothing. Moreover, this card is similar to Lum, an Oni-girl from another planet, one of the main characters from the anime series "Urusei Yatsura", who wore a revealing tiger skin outfit and commanded electricity in her attacks.
- The drums and drum sticks this monster has are based off of the ancient Japanese deity "Rai-Jin" (thunder meaning "rai"), the god of lighting, usually depicted carrying them (excluding the cymbals).
- This card's attack, defense, type, and attribute are all identical to "Thunder King Rai-Oh".
- In episode 43 of Sgt. Frog, Natsumi is transformed into a Orge/Thunder God, looking extremely similar to Thunder Nyan Nyan and her drums.
