- This card, along with "XX-Saber Emmersblade", were the first two Insect-Type monsters to be realeased as Secret Rares from a Booster Pack.
- Though this card is the first Insect-Type Synchro Monster released in the OCG/TCG, it was not originally a Synchro Monster, appearing in the anime as a Dark Synchro Monster first. This makes "T.G. Recipro Dragonfly" the first such monster to be a Synchro monster from the get-go.
- This card could possibly be a nod to Lolth, the Demon Queen of Spiders from the fantasy role-playing game Dungeons and Dragons.
