When Rex Goodwin is defeated in ====World Racing Grand Prix====With the final battlestart of the preliminary rounds, Carly, along with [[Mina Simington|Mina]] and [[Stephanie]], were seen cheering for Jack. Once he lost the Duel against [[King of the UnderworldAndre]] is destroyed, Carly is restored and managed to get back to life, along with all the other Dark Signers except Roman and Goodwin himself. Howeverpits, she apparently has no memories of being Jack was transported to a Dark Signer or of any of the events leading up nearby clinic due to his injuries from his crash. The three snuck into his room to becoming one stay by his side and resumes her life as a reporterhoped that he would wake up. Though After Jack woke up, Carly and the others have made her aware of this interesting pasttime, she can only agonize over helped Jack get to the details she cannot recall. Her flustered and befuddled attitude toward these relatively horrifying occurrences seems pits to encourage Yusei to amuse Akizawin.

They watched the Duel closely as "Hook the Hidden Knight" activated its effect and they noticed that he makes people sign false documents to rip them off, Jack challenges him to a duel for those peopleshadow hook appeared from Crow's Runner's contracts. Jack wins shadow, and Carly is happy realized that all the people who got ripped off will get was how Team Catastrophe was able to crash their money backopponents.

Carly is also the one who informs Jack about crimes being committed around Later, after a while, [[Primo]] created a tornado which started to destroy New Domino City. She tells him that crimes have increased ever since the announcement of the WRGP, and that these crimes involve Duel Runners. After Jack goes missing when trying everyone was told to find the Duel Runner thievesevacuate which a stubborn Carly didn' baset listen as she wanted to get a story for her newspaper. She was almost blown away, Carly informs Yusei and Crowbut luckily she hung onto a street lamp pole for dear life. When Carly, Yusei, [[Crow Hogan|Crow]] and [[Trudge]] arrive later on the runaway ship they find Jack already victorious against the thieves' leader, [[Syd]] and that Jack has taken the courtesy of bashing up all the thugsleft wondering what had just happened.

When Jack suddenly gets arrested for crimes done by the Team 5D's faced [[imposter Jack AtlasTeam Ragnarok]], Carly attempted to stop the presses from writing articles Mina said that when she was young, her parents had told her a story about it, but a [[Mr. PittsSynchro Monster]] refuses. Still believing in JackShe then asked if "[[Thor, she investigates deeper into Lord of the matter and discovers that there were two Jacks.
