Princeton, Chazz

Chazz Princeton is a Duelist Construct of Chazz Princeton from the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX series in the Virtual Dueling System. He is also the opponent that the player faced in Stage 6-4 of the GX Campaign mode in Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Generation. The player has to defeat him in a Duel in order to unlock the next stage and progress Campaign mode.

Appearance

As a Duelist Construct, his appearance is based on Chazz Princeton, and the dark outfit is what he wore once he officially became a student at North Academy in the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX anime series. When Chazz was no longer a North Academy student, he continues to wears this dark outfit during his time at Duel Academy. In Duel Academy, there are three uniforms that the student can wears and these uniforms are assigned to the students according to their academic placement. When Chazz returns to Duel Academy, he becomes a Slifer Red student, but over the years, he manage to raised through the rank to becomes a Obelisk Blue student. This means at one point, Chazz was a low-level Duelist, and on the other hand, he can also be a top-level Duelist. Also, despite the school regulation, Chazz is shown to not wears any of the Duel Academy uniforms, and he continue to wears his dark outfit as usual.

Etymology

His given name "Chazz" is combination of the name "Charles" and the word jazz. Charles is the French form of a Germanic name Karl meaning "man" while "jazz" is a music genre. His given name "Chazz" could also comes from the American actor, screenwriter, producer and playwright Chazz Palminteri. His surname "Princeton" appears to be a reference to Princeton University, whose students are often stereotyped as snobbish.

In the French version, his given name is "Chad" which comes from the Old English given name Ceadda, possibly based on the Welsh word cad meaning "battle".

Rewards

There are a total of six rewards that the player can earn and received after defeating the Duel Construct in a Duel. The first two rewards are cards that come from the Duel Construct's Deck and the third reward is a recipe for their Deck. Then the fourth, fifth and sixth rewards repeated the same process of the three earlier rewards, but in a harder difficulty with a different Deck. In addition, the sixth reward will allow the player to have the Duel Construct's avatar and the ability to Duel them anytime between the two difficulty.
