Declan Akaba is a Duelist Construct of Declan Akaba from the Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V series in the Virtual Dueling System. He is also the boss that the player have to faced in a 2 out of 3 Match in the ARC-V Campaign mode Stage 18-5 in Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Generation. The player has to defeat him in a Duel in order to unlock the next stage and progress Campaign mode.

Appearance

As a Duelist Construct, his appearance is based on Declan Akaba, and the outfit and looks is what he normally wore in the Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V anime series.

Etymology

His given name "Declan" is from a Irish origin, and he might have been named after Declán, a saint who founded the monastery of Ardmone in the 5th century. This is even more noticeable as the round tower located at Ardmore has a slightly resemblance toward the building structure of Leo Corporation (whom CEO is Declan) in the Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V anime series.

His surname "Akaba" is from a Japanese origin, and it has many meanings and connotation depending on how the name is written as. The name "Akaba" was also used in the Japanese version of the ARC-V anime series, and its meaning was "Red Horse".

Rewards

There are a total of six rewards that the player can earn and received after defeating the Duel Construct in a Duel. The first two rewards are cards that come from the Duel Construct's Deck and the third reward is a recipe for their Deck. Then the fourth, fifth and sixth rewards repeated the same process of the three earlier rewards, but in a harder difficulty with a different Deck. In addition, the sixth reward will allow the player to have the Duel Construct's avatar and the ability to Duel them anytime between the two difficulty.

As Declan is a boss character, the player had to faced him in 2 out of 3 Match which can takes hour to defeat and receive the rewards.
