Dr. Vellian Crowler (Duel Generation)
Dr. Vellian Crowler is a Duelist Construct of Vellian Crowler from the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX series in the Virtual Dueling System. He is also the opponent that the player faced in Stage 6-1 of the GX Campaign mode in Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Generation. The player has to defeat him in a Duel in order to unlock the next stage and progress Campaign mode.

AppearanceEdit
As a Duelist Construct, his appearance is based on Vellian Crowler, and the outfit is what he normally wore during his time at Duel Academy in the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX anime series.
EtymologyEdit
The name "Dr." refers to the title Doctor which is used as a designation for a person who has obtained a Doctorate (e.g. PhD). In the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX anime series, Vellian refers to himself as a Doctor that have a PhD in dueling, and this is shown when he taught the various students at Duel Academy about the Dueling subject matter and materials. His given name "Vellian" is a pun and plays on the word "villain", a character who tends to have a negative effect on other characters, and this refers to his many antics on trying to expel the student Jaden Yuki from Duel Academy. His surname "Crowler" could comes from the term Crowler which is a modern take on the jug Growler, and it is described as a fillable and machine-sealable beer can.[1]
In the French version, his title "Dr." was translated to "Docteur", while in the Italian version, the title "Dr." is translated to "Dottor". Also, in the French version, his given name is "Vegan" which could comes from veganism, the philosophy and diet of a person who will not be associated with animal products.
RewardsEdit
There are a total of six rewards that the player can earn and received after defeating the Duel Construct in a Duel. The first two rewards are cards that come from the Duel Construct's Deck and the third reward is a recipe for their Deck. Then the fourth, fifth and sixth rewards repeated the same process of the three earlier rewards, but in a harder difficulty with a different Deck. In addition, the sixth reward will allow the player to have the Duel Construct's avatar and the ability to Duel them anytime between the two difficulty.
Both rewards for Vellian's Deck recipes actually features the same contents found in the Main Deck and Extra Deck despite the name change, signature card, and difficulty.
