"Dragonmaid" is an archetype of Dragon monsters introduced in Deck Build Pack: Mystic Fighters.
Design
The "Dragonmaid" cards appear to be loosely inspired by the Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid series, written and illustrated by Cool-kyou Shinja. The monsters consist of the low Level maids and the high Level dragons representing the maids' true forms.
Etymology
Each monster's name seems to be a play on the roles/rooms that maids traditionally covered.
Attribute | Maid | Namesake | Dragon | German translation |
---|---|---|---|---|
LIGHT | Hauskee | Housekeeping | N/A | N/A |
WATER | Laudry | Laundry | Fluss | River |
EARTH | Nasary | Nursery | Erde | Earth |
WIND | Parla | Parlour | Luft | Air |
FIRE | Tillroo | Still room | Flamme | Flame |
Playing style
The low Level "Dragonmaids" have different effects triggered when they're Normal/Special Summoned, and another effect that return them to the hand to summon a "Dragonmaid" with a higher Level from the hand or GY.
