The kids explain that their father, [[Jordan|Sergio]], has disappeared after mentioning an opportunity to make a quick buck under Malcolm's employ. West has searched the town for him to no avail, but he did meet Kalin, who's been acting uncharacteristically aloof. Kalin even urged West to leave the town due to a bad omen in the area. The player decides to pay Malcolm a visit to learn about Sergio's location.

They Duel for the right to meet with Malcolm, and an impressed Malcolm steps up to challenge the player for a first-hand experience of their skills. The player emerges victorious, and Malcolm agrees to divulge Sergio's location only if they agree work for him and win the gang's next Duel against the Ramon Group. The next day, the player meets and Duels Kalin, Ramon's representative. Kalin sounds despondent and regretful of his unmentioned sins, and is willing to let his life and dreams expire in this town.

He's requested [[Barbara]] for her assistance, but she reveals that she's in cahoots with Malcolm and sabotages their escape attempt. As the Malcolm Group takes control of the town, Malcolm mentions that those defeated in the daily Duels are sent to forced labor in the mine, and Sergio is likely there as well. Malcolm also tells Ramon that his brother [[Lawton]] is coming to town, which makes Ramon panic.

| − | In the mines, the player finally meets Sergio, who's resigned to his fate. They also meet with Yusei and Kalin, who points out an escape route. Sergio isn't keen on escaping and is content to die in the mines, and only suggests that the player help his kids escape the town. Yusei gives Sergio a brief pep talk and reignites his hope, and the four of them escape through a tunnel in the mines. However, a rockslide occurs, and Sergio gives up his life to save Kalin. He passes his hope to Kalin, believing that he can save the town, and plummets into the abyss. Kalin resolves to become the hope for Crash Town, and the cast escape the mine, meeting with Toru and Misaki outside. The town is in chaos due to the gang feud breaking into all-out war.

They're stopped by Ramon, who's itching for a fight, and the player steps up to Duel him while Kalin departs to find the kids. The player defeats Ramon and he flees, while Kalin has defeated Malcolm offscreen. However, Lawton enters the scene and is eager to subjugate anyone who isn't on his side. The player and Kalin team up to Duel Lawton in a 2-on-1 Duel, but Lawton starts with 10 cards in his hand to offset their advantage.

However, they fail to respond, as Crow and Jack have also reached Crash Town and defeated them all. Lawton tries to escape, but is stopped by Toru and Misaki, and is soon arrested. Kalin breaks the bad news to Nico and West, but decides to stay behind to look after them in Sergio's place, as they also provide him with the hope to keep living. Peace is restored to the town, which has now been renamed Satisfaction Town.
