"DJ G!", known as "Gakuting" in the Japanese version, is the fiftieth episode of the Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS anime. It first aired in Japan on May 30, 2021 and aired in Australia on January 15, 2023.

The second round of the final match is Gavin vs Nail! Gavin thinks that Rayne graduated from the "Neo Sogetsu Style" because he's lackluster. Therefore, Gavin has been preparing a further evolved "Continuously Progressive-type" Sogetsu Style against the formidable Nail!! Its evolved form is... and the keyword is "DJ G"!?

Summary

As the crowd cheers in Goha Stadium, Oceania Illumilina recaps that with Romin Kassidy's victory over Roa, Team King Luke's Kings now have 770 points and they're tied with Team YNR now, so the next round will decide the finals. As Roa waves to the crowd from his place beside Yuga and Nail, Romin asks Luke if Gavin is up next and notes that Nail will be his opponent. Recalling Nail's "Yggdrago the Sky Emperor", Gavin notes that he's well aware that Nail isn't an opponent he'll be able to beat easily, but he can't afford to lose here. To Roa's surprise, Rayne leaps in behind Nail dressed in her kuroko clothing and vows to support Nail while Seatbastian is busy, though Nail replies that he's fine. Rayne offers to give his shoulders a massage, but Nail deadpanly begs her not to do anything as Yuga and Roa watch curiously. Romin asks why Rayne is attached to Nail and Gavin explains that the blame lies with him, as Rayne graduated from Neo Sogetsu Style because he wasn't distinguished enough. Luke comments that's true; Nail is easily the more distinguished of them, and though Romin tells Luke off for saying that just as Gavin is about to Duel, she struggles to admit that Gavin is at least a little distinguished. Gavin assures them he has a plan to win this match with overwhelming dignity. Yuga meanwhile is excited by the prospect of a Duel between Gavin and Nail, but remembers to ask how Seatbastian is doing. Nail explains they haven't contacted him yet, but they are looking for a program that causes abnormalities in the system and it might be too complicated for them. Roa reassures them that he sent his best friend to help out.

Tyler begins working on Nail's data.

Down in Nexus, Grimes curses that he can't find the program no matter how much he washes he data while Kit notes that their fate lies with either finding the data or not finding it. Even Seatbastian is at a loss, but then Tyler and Toombs arrive, Tyler declaring that this is his stage. Grimes asks why Tyler returned, and Tyler explains that Roa asked him to, Toombs reminding them that Tyler is a genius hacker whose skills were recognized by Nail. Tyler vows to find whatever's at work behind the tournament, and he'll get it all (a play on the Japanese meaning of his name), something Seatbastian admits to be reassuring and he tells Tyler that they're counting on him. But as he works, Grimes, Kit and Seatbastian all keep interjecting that they've already checked areas of data, throwing Tyler off until Toombs tells him to leave these guys to him and Tyler eagerly agrees.

Gavin unveils his newer Sogetsu Style - DJ G.

Back in Goha Stadium, Oceania declares the start of the Goha Rush Duel Team Battle Royal's second round; King Luke's Kings' Gavin Sogetsu (who throws off his uniform to reveal his kimono) vs. YNR's Nail Saionji, who straps on his Duel Disk. Both ready to go, they call "Rush Duel!" and insert their Decks into their Duel Disks, deploying the blades and the green holographic dome. As Luke and Romin board a hovering platform to watch the Duel, Rayne leaps in behind Nail, warning him to be careful as Gavin is a ruler of "Yamiruler". As Nail muses on the notion of a ruler, Gavin asks them to allow him to show them what lies beyond Neo Sogetsu Style - an even newer Sogetsu Style. He flings off his kimono, and everyone can only gasp in shock at what Gavin is wearing beneath it as he rises on a platform - a white hoodie, baggy lilac pants, an oversized medallion bearing his family crest and a red cap with false dreadlocks attached to it. Gavin hammily calls "HEYYYY EVERYBODYYYY!" in English and makes a "G" sign with his hand as he dubs himself "DJ G" ("Gakuting" in the Japanese version) and suggests that they all get distinguished, calling "Come on, come on!" in English. Romin, Luke, Yuga and Roa can only watch in shock as Gavin declares his turn and draws from a kneeling position. Romin asks what happened to Gavin, and Gavin declares that he thought long and hard about how to truly distinguish himself and came to the conclusion that Sogetsu Style needed to evolve. Therefore, NEO Sogetsu Style Gavin Sogetsu is the most progressive form and he has become DJ G. As Gavin encourages everyone to get distinguished Romin explodes with frustrations and scratches her scalp at Gavin doing this at such an important time, while the crowd - including Yosh, Masahiko, Bochi, Toshihiko, Tracker, Diggs, Trench, Janko and his aides, Asana, Tiger, Schubel, Pidgetrap, Galian, and Caterpillio - all watch in shock as Gavin declares that you've got to come on with their quest. Even Mimi, Goha's secretary and the other Goha Enterprises executives are completely lost for words, and Roa explains Gavin's wordplay to Yuga; "kamon", the word for family crest is pronounced the same as the English "come on". He asks if that's Gavin's family crest, and Gavin admits that it is. Roa adds that Gavin was also making a pun with "yay" and "ie", the Japanese word for house, but Romin angrily snaps at her cousin to shut up. As he examines his hand, containing "Ruler's Platoon of the Dark Forest - Z", "The Three Dark Rulers", and three copies of "Sunny Fairy Spinangel" Gavin is fully aware of just how much he's messed up, but now that he's entered a progressive age he cannot be stopped. He Summons three "Sunny Fairy Spinangel" and tells everyone to check them out as they appear with 1500 ATK each. He Sets two cards and ends his turn with a bam-bam-bam, making a "G" with his hand and declaring "DJ G!" Romin messes up her hair in frustration and Luke comments that Gavin is certainly reliable, prompting Romin to ask how Gavin is being reliable right now. Luke asks if Romin thinks it's easy to stay sane in a title match as important as this and on top of that Gavin is Dueling Nail and will be well aware of the prospects of fighting "Yggdrago". Romin concedes his point, and Luke congratulates Gavin on staying calm, claiming that all the Lukes within him are cheering him on, and Gavin flashes him a "DJ G", much to Romin's distaste. Gavin then unleashes a cry of "Let's d-d-d-d-d-distinguish", much to Romin's utter frustration.

Nail rises on a platform of his own as Gavin calls him out directly, calling him "Channail" and asking what's switching his channels. Nail repeats the name and Gavin tells him that it's his turn. Nail agrees and he draws, then examines his hand, containing "Pair Collision", "Yggdrago the Sky Emperor", "Yggdrago the Sky Emperor [R]", "Seedchrotron Brusselun", and "Heavenly Gift". He activates the Spell Card "Heavenly Gift", explaining that he can send as many monsters as he wants from his hand to the Graveyard, and if he sends monsters whose total Levels equal 10, he can draw two cards. He holds up the Level 10 "Yggdrago the Heavenly Dragon Tree" and Gavin gasps "DJ G?" in shock as Nail sends the Level 10 "Yggdrago" to the Graveyard and draws two cards. Oceania is shocked at the notion of sending "Yggdrago" to the Graveyard, as is Luke, and Romin wonders if Nail thinks that Gavin is too pathetic to use "Yggdrago" on. Gavin sweatdrops as Nail draws two copies of "Cycliptron" and Summons them, then Tributes them to Tribute Summon "Seedchrotron Brusselun". He activates the effect of "Seedchrotron Brusselun", sending the top card of his Deck - "Yggdrago the Sky Emperor [L]" - to the Graveyard, and if he sent a Cyberse monster with this effect he can add monsters from his Graveyard with 0 DEF to his hand up to the number of monsters Gavin controls. Romin notes that Gavin has three monsters, and Luke realizes that Nail is planning to add the "Yggdrago" pieces that he sent to the Graveyard earlier. As Nail adds "Yggdrago" and "Yggdrago [L]" back to his hand he comments that this will obviously become a Duel that Gavin will regret, so he'll end it quickly for him. Romin worries over Nail's impending Maximum as he Sets "Pair Collision", then sends "Seedchrotron Brusselun" to the Graveyard and holds up the three "Yggdrago" cards, which shine with light and begin to absorb energy as Nail chants "Heaven, earth, light, darkness, creation, despair, eternity, demise, destiny... This is the new myth which will permeate throughout the world... Now is the time to bestow reason upon all of creation with your three sets of insight... Maximum Summon!! Come forth! Yggdrago the Sky Emperor‎‎‎‎!!" The mass of vines coils from the cards his Duel Disk fires into the air, splitting into three and blooming the three heads of the monster, which looms above them and fills the stadium, standing with 4000 MAXIMUM ATK. Gavin, Romin and Luke all gasp in horror at the sight of "Yggdrago" and Oceania cries that Nail has already Maximum Summoned. Nail sends the top three cards of his Deck to the Graveyard to activate the Maximum Effect of "Yggdrago", destroying a monster Gavin controls. "Yggdrago [L]" breathes its "Blizzard of Providence" and destroys a "Sunny Fairy Spinangel" as Gavin cries out in shock, and then Nail orders "Yggdrago" to attack with "Ragnarok Tri-Burst Streak", destroying another "Spinangel with its three pillars of fire and blasting Gavin off his feet, reducing him to 1500 LP.

Down in Nexus, Toombs is distracting Grimes, Kit and Seatbastian with a scary story about a cat sharpening its claws against a chair while counting plates at midnight and found one that was missing, while Tyler continues to to search Nail's data, vowing to find whatever's behind the tournament.

Rino tells Gavin that this will be his final Rush Duel.

Up in Goha Stadium, Romin calls out to the battered Gavin and asks if he's all right, and Gavin springs to his feet with a declaration of "Let's get down and distinguished!" and flashes her a DJ G sign. Romin angrily asks if Gavin even plans on winning and Gavin panics, stammering his name and declaring his turn, drawing "Bowing Brotherhood", "Weasel's Wind", "Karchizark the Unequaled", "Yamiruler the Dark Delayer", and "Hero of the Yeast". His hand begins to tremble at the thought of beating the 4000 ATK "Yggdrago" Maximum, and Rino reaches out to take his hand, reassuring him that he will assist him during his final Rush Duel. Rayne is shocked to see her twin and Gavin asks what Rino means by this being his final Rush Duel. Rino tells Gavin that he has brought shame to their name and cannot be allowed to carry it on, begging Gavin to Duel in a way that will not disgrace his family crest.

Gavin sees his ancestor, Gakugen Sogetsu.

Then the lights in the stadium go out, and Oceania asks in shock if it's a power outage and requests that everyone wait a moment, as Mimi sweatdrops while her secretary yells at the other executives who can only bow in apology. As Rino and Gavin look around in shock, a ray of moonlight from the crescent moon hits Gavin's medallion and Gavin sees a figure in the moon. He gasps that it can't be; it's Gakugen Sogetsu, the founder of the Sogetsu Style. He envisions seeing Gakugen (who resembles Gavin himself) attended to by his aides (who resemble Rayne and Rino) in a war tent, the male aide explaining that their ironclad defenses have been crushed and they are currently surrounded by the enemy. He asks what Gakugen will do, and his sister suggests that Gakugen leave this to them, Rankage and Rinkage, though Gakugen continues to think as he stands over a map. Gavin wonders if Gakugen is concentrating on devising a war strategy, but then he realizes what Gakugen is doing; without being distracted by his surroundings, he and his aides are concentrated on finding a clear path to victory, and that is how the Sogetsu have fought and connected to the present for many generations. Seeing himself facing his ancestor, Gavin realizes that he didn't understand anything and vows to Duel in a way that will not shame his name. The power comes back on and Oceania apologizes for the wait as everyone looks around. Gavin asks Rino for his assistance, and Rino eagerly agrees as he holds up Gavin's kimono, and Gavin quickly changes clothes, though he keeps the medallion in hand, much to the joy of Romin, Luke, Yuga and Roa, and Rayne pops up in shock.

Gavin increases the ATK of his new ace, "Karchizark the Unequaled".

Facing down "Yggdrago", Gavin recalls that it has three effects and examines his hand and makes his decision, declaring that he sees it. Attaching the medallion to his forehead, he Summons "Hero of the Yeast" and then Tributes it and his last "Spinangel" to Tribute Summon, chanting "The flames of tradition will not be extinguished! These overflowing emotions will not be defeated! Revive from the far-gone past! Deploy! Karchizark the Unequaled!" "Karchizark" appears with 2100 ATK and Luke, Romin, Yuga and Gavin all celebrate Gavin's new ace monster. Gavin activates the Spell Card "Weasel's Wind", increasing the ATK of "Karchizark" by 1000 until the end of the turn, to 3100, and as it powers up Rayne gasps in shock and Nail notes the card's name. Gavin adds that the effect of "Weasel's Wind" also permits his opponent to change a monster they control into Defense Position, but a Maximum in Maximum Mode doesn't have DEF, so it can't exist in Defense Position. Nail smiles and comments that it seems as though Gavin has realized the providence of Maximums, prompting Luke and Romin to comment that Nail is scared of "Weasel's Wind" blowing him away. Gavin vows to continue forward and sends a monster from his hand to the Graveyard to activate the Flight for Riches" effect of "Karchizark" - "Yamiruler". Rayne, Luke and Romin are all shocked that Gavin is discarding "Yamiruler" and wonder if the effect of "Karchizark" is worth the price. Gavin explains that it will increase the ATK of "Karchizark" by 1000 until the end of the turn, and "Karchizark" increases to 4100 ATK. Luke gasps the ATK value, and Romin cries that it's stronger than "Yggdrago", while Rino also notes that if Gavin sent a Warrior or Winged Beast monster to the Graveyard he can add a Level 6 or lower Normal Monster from his Graveyard to his hand. Gavin adds "Hero of the Yeast" back to his hand and Summons it, then he Sets another card. Declaring that the enemy is a Maximum, he orders "Karchizark the Unequaled" to attack "Yggdrago the Sky Emperor" with "Demonic Vessel's Flight of Grand Blazing Victory", and "Karchizark" collides with "Yggdrago", shaking the arena and Luke and Romin in their platform as Romin squeals and Luke asks if Gavin did it.

Nail protects "Yggdrago" from destruction with "Pair Collision".

But Nail has activated the Trap Card "Pair Collision", and Gavin gasps in shock as Nail reminds him that it will prevent either of their monsters from being destroyed by this battle. His LP falls to 3900 and Romin laments that Gavin was only able to inflict 100 damage after all that, Luke noting that the 4000 ATK of "Yggdrago" hasn't changed and will be that high next turn as well. Gavin ends his turn, returning the ATK of "Karchizark" to normal, and Roa comments that was close, but it's not like Nail would lose anyway. Yuga isn't sure, eagerly noting that this is the first time he's seen Gavin Duel so well, and Roa asks him just whose side he is on.

Gavin begins laughing after Nail uses all of "Yggdrago's" Maximum Effects.

Nail declares his turn and draws five cards, and Gavin immediately pays 1000 LP to activate a Trap Card, "Bowing Brotherhood", groaning as he falls to 500 LP. Romin gasps at the LP cost and Rino explains that this Trap will change Gavin's monsters to Defense Position. Romin realizes that Gavin is trying to tighten his defenses, but Nail claims that it's useless, sending the top three cards of his Deck to the Graveyard to activate the effect of "Yggdrago", and the eyes of "Yggdrago [R]" glow as it changes "Hero of the Yeast" to Attack Position. Romin gasps that he was forced into Attack Position, but Gavin vows that they will protect themselves and he sends "Kimeruler the Dark Raider" from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard to activate the Trap "Ruler's Platoon of the Dark Forest - Z", changing "Hero of the Yeast" back into Defense Position and preventing it from being destroyed by battle for the rest of the turn. Luke believes that Gavin's defenses are perfect, but Nail asks if that they have forgotten that this is a Maximum, much to Gavin and Luke's shock, and he sends three cards from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard to activate the effect of "Yggdrago", causing "Yggdrago [L]" to breath a blast of ice that consumes "Hero of the Yeast". Romin cries that it was destroyed, but Gavin is laughing and she and Luke worry that Gavin is DJ G again. But Gavin declares that now "Yggdrago" has used all of its Maximum effects, and Luke realizes that Gavin just needs to survive this battle. Gavin vows that he will absolutely defend his way through this turn and make it to the next.

But Nail discards "Peacock Picotron" to activate the Spell Card "Tribute to The Doomed", destroying a monster Gavin controls. Bandages disgorge from the card and ensnare "Karchizark", destroying it as Romin screams Gavin's name. Nail admits that he didn't think he would have to use "Tribute to The Doomed" against Gavin and chides him for paying too much attention to his Maximum. He had a nice plan, but Nail makes sure to always stay one step ahead of his opponents. Gavin grits his teeth as Oceania excitedly notes that he only has 500 LP, but is about to be attacked directly by the 4000 ATK "Yggdrago". She notes that Gavin can always surrender, and Nail asks Gavin what he will do. Gavin declares that there's no way that he would, and Nail asks if Gavin is ready. Gavin replies that he's been ready for a while now. Luke and Romin cringe in worry and Oceania gasps that Gavin is planning on taking the direct attack. Nail smiles, commenting that he won't hold back in that case and he orders the "Ragnarok Tri-Burst Streak" attack of "Yggdrago the Sky Emperor", which builds fire in all three of its maws. But Gavin sends a glowing card from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard to activate the Trap "The Three Dark Rulers", and Roa gasps in shock that it's a Trap that can only be activated when the opponent declares a direct attack. First Gavin recovers 1000 LP, rising to 1500, though as Rayne notes recovering 1000 LP now won't change anything. Gavin adds that it has another effect; if he has "Yamiruler the Dark Delayer", "Kimeruler the Dark Raider" and "Semeruler the Dark Summoner" in his Graveyard, he can return them to his Deck. As Romin notes, he already has "Yamiruler" and "Kimeruler" in his Graveyard, while Gavin dwells on the card that he only just sent to the Graveyard and he withdraws it...

Nail and Gavin draw.

It's "Semeruler the Dark Summoner", and Rayne gasps its name while Luke, Romin, Yuga and Roa all smile. Gavin comments that Nail won't have forgotten what Rayne told him earlier; that he is a Ruler. Returning the three "Rulers" to his Deck, he explains that as he did, both players will take damage equal to the ATK of the attacking monster. Nail can only gasp "What?!" in shock and Gavin removes the medallion from his head, reminding Nail that he said that he would defend through this turn and make it to the next one, strapping the medallion to his Duel Disk. "Yggdrago" releases its three pillars of fire and Gavin holds up the medallion to shield himself, declaring that this is how the Sogetsu Style has survived, fought and connected to the future. Fire erupts from the medallion as Nail gasps in shock and Rayne calls his name, and both Duelists are struck by the flames and flung into the air, screaming as their LP falls to zero.

Rayne returns to Gavin's service.

Oceania cries in shock that both players have zero LP - it's a DRAW. As the platforms sink back into the ground Rino gasps Gavin's name and Rayne leaps over and asks if he's all right. Gavin asks if she would say that he was truly distinguished today, and Rayne tearfully confirms that he was distinguished in a way that would bring pride to the Sogetsu name. She asks Rino to take care of Gavin, reminding him that she has graduated from Sogetsu Style, but as she begins to trudge back to Nail, Rino asks if serving under Sogetsu Style brought her immeasurable pride. Rayne admits that even now it's her pride, much to Gavin's joy. Meanwhile Roa is brushing Nail's dishevelled hair, chastising him for letting providence be his hairstylist, while Yuga eagerly tells Nail that his Duel with Gavin was super-fun to watch. Nail smiles and admits that he enjoyed it as well, and Rayne apologizes to him but humbly requests to graduate from Saionji Style. Nail replies that it doesn't really exist, so she should feel free, and Rayne thanks him from the bottom of her heart, vowing not to forget this act of kindness, though Nail insists that she do. As Romin and Luke examine Gavin's discarded "DJ G" clothes, Rayne zips back over to Gavin and bows to him, declaring that she will be in his care, and Gavin bows back, replying that he will likewise be in hers. Romin congratulates Gavin, and Gavin apologizes for being unable to win, though Romin reassures him that a DRAW is fine.

Oceania announces the current points; YNR on 770, and King Luke's Kings is tied with them on 770, so the final round will be Yuga Ohdo vs. Luke. The lights dim and spotlights snap on Oceania and both teams, and Luke steps forwards and vows that he will become the King of Duels, while Yuga steps forwards to face him with a smile.

Featured Duel: Gavin Sogetsu vs Nail Saionji

Gavin VS Nail.png

The Duel is conducted as a Rush Duel.

Turn 1: Gavin
Gavin's hand contains "Ruler's Platoon of the Dark Forest - Z", "The Three Dark Rulers", and three copies of "Sunny Fairy Spinangel". Gavin Normal Summons three copies of "Sunny Fairy Spinangel" (1500/0). Gavin Sets two cards.

Turn 2: Nail
Nail's hand contains "Pair Collision", "Yggdrago the Sky Emperor", "Yggdrago the Sky Emperor [R]", "Seedchrotron Brusselun", and "Heavenly Gift". Nail activates the Spell "Heavenly Gift", sending any number of monsters from his hand to the Graveyard, and if he sends monsters whose combined Levels equal 10 or more to the Graveyard, he can draw two cards. Nail sends the Level 10 "Yggdrago the Sky Emperor" to the Graveyard and draws two copies of "Cycliptron". Nail Normal Summons two copies of "Cycliptron" (100/1500). Nail Tributes both "Cycliptron" to Tribute Summon "Seedchrotron Brusselun" (2400/1600). As "Seedchrotron Brusselun" was Normal Summoned this turn, Nail activates its effect, sending the top card of his Deck to the Graveyard, and if he sends a Cyberse Type monster to the Graveyard this way, he can add a number of Cyberse monsters with 0 DEF from his Graveyard to his hand, up to the number of face-up monsters Gavin controls. Nail sends "Yggdrago the Sky Emperor [L]" to the Graveyard and adds "Yggdrago" and "Yggdrago [L]" to his hand. Nail Sets "Pair Collision". Nail sends "Seedchrotron Brusselun" to the Graveyard and Maximum Summons "Yggdrago", "Yggdrago [L]", and "Yggdrago [R]", entering Maximum Mode (4000 MAXIMUM ATK). As "Yggdrago" is in Maximum Mode, Nail activates the effect of "Yggdrago [L]", sending the top three cards of his Deck to the Graveyard to choose a Level 8 or lower monster Gavin controls and destroy it. Nail sends three unknown cards from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard and destroys a "Spinangel". "Yggdrago" attacks and destroys a "Spinangel" (Gavin: 4000 → 1500 LP).

Turn 3: Gavin
Gavin draws "Bowing Brotherhood", "Weasel's Wind", "Karchizark the Unequaled", "Yamiruler the Dark Delayer", and "Hero of the Yeast". Gavin Normal Summons "Hero of the Yeast" (1500/0). Gavin Tributes "Hero of the Yeast" and "Spinangel" to Tribute Summon "Karchizark the Unequaled" (2100/2100). As Nail controls a Level 6 or higher monster, Gavin activates the Spell "Weasel's Wind", choosing a face-up monster he controls and have it gain 1000 ATK, then Nail can choose one Attack Position monster he controls and change it to face-up Defense Position. Gavin chooses "Karchizark" ("Karchizark": 2100/2100 → 3100/2100). Gavin activates the effect of "Karchizark", sending a Level 7 or higher monster from his hand to the Graveyard to have it gain 1000 ATK, then if Gavin sent a Warrior or Winged Beast Type monster to the Graveyard, he can choose a Level 6 or lower Normal Monster in his Graveyard, and add it to his hand. Gavin sends the Level 8 "Yamiruler" to the Graveyard ("Karchizark": 3100/2100 → 4100/2100), then adds "Hero of the Yeast" to his hand. Gavin Normal Summons "Hero of the Yeast" (1500/0). Gavin Sets a card. "Karchizark" attacks "Yggdrago", but as a monster Gavin controls declared an attack while Nail controls a Level 10 monster, Nail activates his Set Trap "Pair Collision", preventing monsters from being destroyed by that battle. The attack continues (Nail: 4000 → 3900 LP), but due to the effect of "Pair Collision", "Yggdrago" is not destroyed.

Turn 4: Nail
As Nail drew a card(s) during his Draw Phase, Gavin activates his Set Trap "Bowing Brotherhood", paying 1000 LP (Gavin: 1500 → 500 LP) to choose up to two Attack Position monsters he controls and change them to face-up Defense Position. Gavin changes "Karchizark" and "Hero of the Yeast" to face-up Defense Position. As "Yggdrago" is in Maximum Mode, Nail activates the effect of "Yggdrago [R]", sending the top three cards of his Deck to the Graveyard to choose a Defense Position monster Gavin controls and change it to Attack Position. Nail sends three unknown cards from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard and changes "Hero of the Yeast" to Attack Position. As the battle position of a monster Gavin controls was changed by Nail's card effect, Gavin activates his Set Trap "Ruler's Platoon of the Dark Forest - Z", sending the top card of his Deck to the Graveyard to choose an Attack Position monster he controls and change it to face-up Defense Position and prevent it from being destroyed by battle this turn. Gavin sends "Kimeruler the Dark Raider" from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard, then changes "Hero of the Yeast" to face-up Defense Position. Nail activates the effect of "Yggdrago [L]", sending three unknown cards from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard and destroying "Hero of the Yeast". Nail activates the Spell "Tribute to The Doomed", sending a card from his hand to the Graveyard to choose a monster Gavin controls and destroy it. Nail sends "Peacock Picotron" from his hand to the Graveyard and destroys "Karchizark". "Yggdrago" attacks Gavin directly, but as a monster Nail controls declared a direct attack, Gavin activates his Set Trap "The Three Dark Rulers", sending the top card of his Deck to the Graveyard to gain 1000 LP, then if Gavin has "Yamiruler the Dark Delayer", "Kimeruler the Dark Raider", and "Semeruler the Dark Summoner" in his Graveyard, he can return those monsters to his Deck to have both players take damage equal to the ATK of the attacking monster. Gavin sends "Semeruler the Dark Summoner" from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard (Gavin: 500 → 1500 LP), then returns "Yamiruler", "Kimeruler", and "Semeruler" to his Deck (Gavin: 1500 → 0 LP) (Nail: 3900 → 0 LP).
