Evocator Control/Terror Lock[edit]

Original Terror Lock: Goat Control[edit]

From the release of "Thousand-Eyes Restrict", "Tsukuyomi", and "Metamorphosis" until their eventual bans on the Forbidden/Limited List, the Terror lock in the mid 2000's was one of the most devastating combos for the time. Summoning Restrict with Metamorphosis and then equipping an opponent's monster to Restrict. Then next turn; because your opponent could not attack, you would Normal Summon Tsukuyomi, activate her effect to flip Restrict face down. As long as restrict did not attack that turn or move it's own battle position, you could Flip Summon Restrict, attach a new monster your opponent had to it, and the Tsukuyomi would return itself to your hand allowing you to do the again next turn. Over the years of the changing banlist, this combo has returned to us, however instead of using Metamorphosis, you can now use "Instant Fusion" and Flip it down with Tsukuyomi before Instant Fusion would destroy it. While this is much quicker than the original combo, it will also leave you more vulnerable because Restrict cannot protect you from attacks while face down.

Evocator Control: Age 2 Terror Lock[edit]

Immediately after the release of "Evocator Chevalier" and "Gemini Spark", many players took to an interesting method of playstyle for the card. Using cards like "Allure Queen" monsters and "Destiny HERO - Plasma", a player could constantly equip cards to these monsters with their effects, and then Evocator could send them to the graveyard to destroy a card their opponent controlled. Similar to the "Goat Control" Terror Lock with Tsukuyomi and Thousand-Eyes Restrict, however with the added benefit of being able to use "Gemini Spark", "Reinforcement of the Army", "Destiny Draw" and a few other "Destiny HERO" monsters. Not to mention the overall destruction of your opponent's field. While eventually decks starting with this formula changed around to making it more of a secondary combo rather than the focus of the deck, the combo proved extremely powerful against well established boards and controlled your opponent's field very devastatingly.
