The, known as The☆ (ザ☆ Za☆) in Japanese, is a series of LIGHT Attribute Dragon Type monsters used by Lucidien "Luke" Kallister (and his manga counterpart) and The Lukeman in the Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS anime and manga, The☆Lugh (and his manga counterpart) in the Yu-Gi-Oh! GO RUSH!! anime and manga, and Tatsumi Azuma in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel LP manga.
Design[edit]
Like its user, The Series has a superhero theming. The monsters appear as dragons in superhero getup, each also having the motif of a ☆ somewhere in their design. The Spells/Traps in The Series feature a costumed person resembling The Lukeman in their artworks.
Playing style[edit]
The Series generally supports the Dragon Type, with a large focus on using Normal Monsters, recycling and reviving them at huge frequency to power them up or use them as Fusion Material. "The Wyvern" can specifically support many Dragon-based Rush Duel themes by retrieving crucial Normal Monsters, such as "The Dragon" and the materials of "Full Moon Dragon Umbralancer F" for Fusion Dragon Decks, or "Sportsdragon Keeper" for the Sportsdragon series, while The Series' boss Fusion Monster "The Dragiastar" can swarm the field with powerful Normal Monsters (such as the two "The Dragias" used for its Fusion Summon) as one option of its Multi-Choice Effect.
Most of the Spells/Traps in The Series, as well as the high-Level "The Star Dragon", are generic and can be used by any Deck. By combining the monsters with the Strike Dragon series, The Series allows Fusion Summoning several High Dragon Type Fusion Monsters, such as "Hyperstrike Dragon Dragiastar F".
