The '''Featured Cardfeatured card''' of an anime episode is one which appears in a snippet at the end or at the beginning of the episode. The card is often one which displyed displayed great significance in the episode.

Seasons 2 through 4 of ''[[Yu-Gi-Oh! GX]]'', with the exception of the final [[Yu-Gi-Oh! GX - Episode 179|two]] [[Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters GX- Episode 180|episodes]] and , include this feature. All episodes of ''[[Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's]] '' featured this, as well as all episodes have featured cardsof ''[[Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL]]'' thus far. Previous anime series episodes and [[4Kids ]] dubs do not show Featured Cardsfeatured cards.

At the end of a Duel Monsters ''Yu-Gi-Oh! GX '' episode, the card appears on the screen with its details listed alongside it and Jaden commenting on it. Early episodes of ''Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's '' had a clip of the card being that was to be used in the episode is it was shown. Newer episodes show a shot of [[Yusei Fudo|Yusei]] holding today's Featured Card featured card at the start of an episode and next week's Featured Card featured card at the end of the episode. During the [[Dark Signers (arc)|Dark Signers arc]], [[Leo]] and [[Luna]] show up at the beginning of the episode showcasing the featured card, explaining effects it may have.

The TV Tokyo ''Yu-Gi-Oh! '' website, displays images of the last 5 Featured five featured cards. It usually adds the latest image within 1 a day after of the episode airsairing.
