I was just wondering what the most expensive card in Yu-Gi-Oh! is. Is it Gold Sarcophagus or are there cards that are worth more? continental86 20:59, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

Expensive Cards

Crush Card Virus and Dark Armed Dragon are extremely expensive. So are Shonen Jump championship cards. Bluedog187 21:02, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

  • I concur - DAD isn't so expensive in the OCG. But, since we're usually speaking of the TCG... yeah. --Gadjiltron 06:48, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
    • Gold series CCV I saw for $300+, and DAD (TCG) was $225, if I remember correctly (Both are too expensive for me - I won't spend more than 60 at a time). Dmaster (Contribs Count) 19:37, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

Cyber-Stein

I know there is a special edition of Cyber-Stein - only a dozen in the world - which is worth quite a bit - 3600 USD last I checked - but I know no-one who has one...

---Actually There is one person who I know who has one...
  • Actually, according to an article somewhere, I believe Two Cyber-Steins were auctioned off at 10,000 or 5,000 USD each. OsmiuMap 19:28, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

This topic got me thinking about the value of these cards. Is there a site that lists the price value of each card? I would like to know because I think it would help me out in future trades. Animedude3000 20:46, 13 August 2008 (UTC) Most expensive card is armored blue eyes ultimate dragon for 500,000$.

blue-eyes ultimate dragon isn't worth more than $10, but blue-eyes white dragon can be worth $80 if u have the right code: DDS-001, it's a secrete rare. d is worth thousands when its not!!!!!! the highest priced card currently that i have found is $850, and that is crush card virus code:SJCS-EN004. the site i base my prices on comes right from kanami the makers of yugioh. it's YugiCo.com

Gold Sarcophagus ?

lol i know this is a bit off topic but i dont see value in this card, its exact same as DDcapsule

  • It was a Jump Championship promo. It's not that it's better than anything else, but that it's rare. Only the World Championship prize cards are rarer. Rodtheanimegod4ever 06:52, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
    • Actually, Gold Sarcophagus is better than Different Dimension Capsule because Gold Sarcophagus doesn't need to stay on the field to retrieve the card. If D.D. Capsule is destroyed the card remains removed from play. Aserik 00:22, 5 April 2009 (UTC)
lol dude actually go to google itrs only worth like 10 bucks wow lol

hi guys i ve seen ur conversation about this card cyber stain and i have to say that i have the rare version. however it is the italian edition and i was wwondering if it still costed the same amount

No, It got a reprint in Dark Revelations, the expensive ones are all Ultra rare, not plain Rare.

More than 5,000,000 of the same cards have been reproduced and manufactured. The most rare card i can find is the Media:Blue Eyes Ultimate Dark Dragon that i have, theres only 1 in existance, it was manufactured in Tokyo, Japan. The only way you could win 1 is from a contest that happened in 1993. There was a tournament Japan with more than 5,000 contestants, and when luck was on my side in the end I got that card.

This has been proven as bs, as there are no one of a kind cards, especially cards that don't exist. in 1993, yugioh was still in the womb of being designed, and as such, such a tournament never took place, and unless you are asking to be robbed for it, no one in their right mind would post about a one of a kind card on such a public forum. Crush Card Virus?

Crush Card Virus is the most expensive one I've seen.

umm yea armament of the lords is the exact same thing as Victory Dragon which is a terribly hard card to summon.Thestardustdragon 22:11, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

It is Tyler the great warrior.. Google it.. Only 1 ever made.

this is off topic but whats so great about about armaments of the lethal lords and victory dragon i mean if u attack directly and make the life points 0 wouldn't you win the duel anyways regardless of the effect.Am I not understanding the card

The appeal of the cards, if they weren't illegal, is that you win the match if they attack directly and reduce your opponents life points to 0. Most tournaments you have to win 2 duels out of 3 to win a match. Aserik 20:37, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

  • Too bad TCG rulings allow the opponent to forfeit the duel at any point in time, so they can scoop right before the attack commences. The OCG ones only allow for forfeiting during one's own turn. --Gadjiltron 11:55, February 3, 2010 (UTC)

Dark End Dragon goes for well over 1000 at the moment. User:Lord of Amphibians

DOOM CALIBER KNIGHT!!!!!!

It is worth $999.95 in US dollars.

Not anymore, it isn't. It got reprinted in turbo pack and are now worth like $10 at the most.

Mirror Force

I was thinking Mirror Force was the most expensive after all, it's a powerful trap card and it's surprisingly not forbidden. - Fallensilence GLD1-EN039 Gold Rare GLD1-EN039 Mirror Force Yu-Gi-Oh! $71.40 and going up

It did enter the Forbidden list for a while, before coming back and staying Limited. But still, it's one of the few staples that has been around for a long time, and the difficulty in getting it makes it expensive. --Gadjiltron 05:10, May 23, 2010 (UTC)

It's going to be really difficult now that the Marik Structure Deck is coming with Mirror Force. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 13:56, August 17, 2010 (UTC)

Dark End-Dragon

Sorry friends, your all wrong! Its dark end dragon, which fetches around 1200$ - 1500$ on ebay. I would assume thats because its only given out at tournaments. Theyre not giving it out anymore either so its about to have a price jump.

Sorry I just checked ebay and if you go to buy it now, it's between $10-50. And please put the four tildes. Fallensilence 19:18, June 20, 2010 (UTC)

You were looking at a mat, They are 1000+ USD.--Helix-king 19:21, June 20, 2010 (UTC)

No I was looking at the card. I'm pretty sure of it. Fallensilence 21:19, June 20, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah that's a ripoff. I don't think that they would go 1000 or higher though because who would waste money on paper with nice pics and a powerful effect. Fallensilence 01:18, June 21, 2010 (UTC)

  • It's not expensive because of a nice picture with strong effect, it's expensive because you only get it by being in the top something at world championships. You don't pay for the card, you pay for the Regality that comes with it. Like the Gold Ipad thingy. You have to say "Yeah, I bought this, and it cost as much as you made last year, so?" also please note I don't support doing either of those things (Buying dark end or Ipads.)--Helix-king 05:01, June 22, 2010 (UTC)

Anybody who contributes to this site or posts anything on the forums because we all SPEND money on pieces of paper, hoping to get some shiny card with a cool pic and awsome effect. SRSLY though, it's all of us. Adamtheamazing64 03:51, June 22, 2010 (UTC)

True that. Fallensilence 04:28, June 22, 2010 (UTC)

  • Speak for yourself. Not everyone buys cards anymore. I use YVD and haven't owned real cards in years.--YamiWheeler 04:04, June 22, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah but I'm back to dueling once schools back. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 17:09, July 30, 2010 (UTC)

Hands down it's Cyber Stein from SJC. Check the card's Trivia. Also you can check out this uberly mint one on ebay for $4,500 Cyber Stein --BassNettoHikari2

I also found a Card of Sanctity for $2500 [1] --BassNettoHikari2 (talkcontribs) 17:42, July 30, 2010 (UTC)

SERIOUSLY? I have a Silver Rare Card Of Sanctity! We'll start the bidding at $1000.......Drew-Gi-Oh! (talkcontribs) 01:28, July 31, 2010 (UTC)

.............stop mocking the poor. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 23:37, August 13, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, right, yours is probably a mass produced one from DPYG, i don't know where the $2500 ones come from. Also, I remember seeing (this is b4 Gold Series 3 was released) the most expensive useless card besides the vanilla WC promos was most likely Vice Dragon. They were going for $150+ each, supposedly because they were in a limited edition Yusei duel disk. However, some were accidentally leaked into Raging Battle SE as the variant foil.

Nah, I got mine in an early set, I think it was Legend of Blue Eyes White Dragon Pack, or some other REALLY old pack from when the second series anime was still in progress. But Vice Dragon is expensive, just not AS expensive as Dark End Dragon or Cyber-Stein. --Drew-Gi-Oh! (talk) 04:17, August 17, 2010 (UTC) o pls the card isn't worth more than $500 on ebay and it's only so high b/c it's new and kanami hasn't come out with a true guide price yet.

The Seal of Orichalcos

I think it comes second in terms of rarity (Tyler the Might Warrior comes first), but comes 1st in terms of usefulness and versatility among the rarest cards. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 21:39, July 30, 2010 (UTC)

We aren't talking about rarity but they can be potentially expensive. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 22:47, July 30, 2010 (UTC)

Trishula

I don't know the TCG cards, but the OCG's most expensive card i've seen so far is Trishula and it cost around US$ 100 Holydragoncrusher (talkcontribs) 08:43, August 14, 2010 (UTC)

Well it's Trishula. That's a powerful card that everyone wants their hands on. Well maybe except Synchro Haters. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 16:06, August 15, 2010 (UTC)

synchro haters can have the machine emperors Enternal Evoluton Burst (talkcontribs) 18:09, August 15, 2010 (UTC)

It going to be hard getting rid of them. Ok maybe not but you know what I mean. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 20:07, August 15, 2010 (UTC)

Well, machine emperors cost less than Trishula... Wisel Infinity only cost around US$10. But it's good since its affordable and it can be used in a lot of decks. Holydragoncrusher (talkcontribs) 06:22, August 18, 2010 (UTC)

Hopefully it comes out in TCG like how Trishula didn't arrive yet otherwise NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 00:38, August 19, 2010 (UTC)

BEUD

Blue-eyes ultimate dragon, the 1999 asian champion grand prize, Pojo estimated it to be about 10,000-50,000. only 1 in the world. Also, did you know the opposite sides of a dice always add up to 7? Reminds me of that one time when some Duel Masters player boasted that half his Deck is shiny. This was before we had access to the JP (shiny) reprints, so it meant half his Deck is unplayable until mid-late game. How amusing. --Gadjiltron (talkcontribs) 01:21, October 10, 2010 (UTC)

exodia

i recently found a old set of exodia from the original release of blue eye that has a pentagram around it stead of spellbindind circle i have searched the internet and can not find a single picture of it. probly worth money

Does it have legal staple on corner on the right at bottom? If not, then you're hold the fake version. I have one myself and it's super horrible, much horrible than Saw II. --FredCat Ta.P.F.P.J.R.W.S.Th.P.S.C. 22:41, February 8, 2011 (UTC)

rarest yugioh card ever

my friend had an authentic yugioh card called ultimate dragon atk 5000 def 5000 their are only 2 in existance cause a card shop bought his for 15,000 usd and he watched him rip it up and he said.....i was told thaT if i ever saw this card, rip it up. that is why their are only 2 now. it was an accidental card that konami let out by acident...thats why their are only 2......suck it! i win!

I don't really think that's it's true-considering a few things. Generally, poor spelling and grammar are not conducive to making you look like an intelligent person. Aside from that, I understand that there may be cards mistakenly released by Konami, but no sane person would say to rip it up. Such a card would be worth tons of money and is a valuable collectible-rip it up? That would be like burning a 10,000 dollar bill (which are rare and only used in government transactions).BobaFett2 (talk) 23:05, February 22, 2011 (UTC)

On top of that, you still don’t win. There are even fewer copies of Tyler the Great Warrior, so it stands to reason that you haven’t found the most expensive card, even if you were telling the truth. Battlemaniac (talkcontribs) 16:05, March 13, 2011 (UTC)

How would someone have gotten Tyler the Great Warrior in the first place?BobaFett2 (talk)

I've never paid more then 10 bucks for any card in my life of any card game,i seen peopel dish out thousands of dolalrs back in the day for cards that had just fractions of more power like mechanical chaser and giant red sea serpent,at that point i wondred to myself was it really a battle of cards vs cards or was it a battle of who could dish out more money?nonetheless i beat those rich boys with my good old fashioned rat deck,i suppose some people are willing to dish out 80 bucks for a card i know back in the day everyone bought out cyber dragons off the shelves, wasnt the msot expensive card but i tell you what people were addicted to that thing like a panda to its bamboo crack, also just a heads up mirror force wll also be in the 2011 starter deck so its no longer rare.Raventheblack (talkcontribs) 05:29, March 15, 2011 (UTC)

Re: Most Expensive Card?

Well, as far as I'm concerned, the most expensive cards at the moment are:
Super Rare CP01-EN002 Book of Moon (Mint)
Secret Rare DREV-EN062 Pot of Duality (Mint)
Ultra Rare TP2-001 Morphing Jar (Mint)
Ultra Rare SJC-EN002 Des Volstgalph (Near-mint)
Each of them cost $249.99 at a certain webpage. I expect an answer. 71.225.1.7 (talk) 03:58, April 7, 2011 (UTC)

Those aren't the most expensive online. There's a lot more expensive stuff out there. On that note, I don't think that Book of Moon is that much. What is it from? And what site is this?BobaFett2 (talk)

Not even close to actual pricing. Pot of Duality is most definitely sitting at 120 right now, Book of Moon is NOWHERE CLOSE to even the $100+ bracket, Morphing Jar from TP doesn't even break the $100+ if I'm right. Des Vosltgalph? They're actually WAY low if they're saying 250. User:Aelendt

tournament promos T2

i found on the web that everyone of the T2 promos (see Asian Tournament Promos: 2001) was sold for more than one million yen.

in dollars are more than 12,000. very impressive. /////|||||||\\\\\ Jump Enemy (talkcontribs) 23:57, April 21, 2011 (UTC)

Wow...never heard of those but they're certainly weird. They seem pretty lame for a tourney promo, but they're really rare at the least. BobaFett2 (talk)

1999

Actually, I think that the unique Asian Tournament Promos from 1999 might be the most expensive (There are three copies of Tyler, so these are even "rarer). The 1st place ones would likely have the highest value. The unique ones are: Black Luster Soldier (Normal), Zera the Mant (Normal), Super War-Lion (Normal), Fiend's Mirror (Normal), Blue-Eyes Ultimate, Red-Eyes B. Dragon, and Firewing Pegasus as some of the most expensive cards ever produced. The participation cards from those tournaments would also be incredibly expensive.

I'd guess that the Black Luster Soldier is the most expensive, followed by the Blue-Eyes Ultimate. This is because the Black Luster Soldier is the first championship promotional card and it's one of five Ritual Monsters printed as Normal Monsters.

The 2001 Asian Tournament Promos are also pretty expensive and could be more expensive (since they are of totally unique cards) but it's hard to give a true value to a unique card.

If there are any Seal of Oricalchos, Ra (Hieratic Text), or Power Balance out there, those could be even more valuable than any of the above cards since their existence is practically unknown and they weren't ever released to the public.BobaFett2 (talk)

I have a card called light creator anyone know if it's worth much?

The most expensive Yugioh cards Recorded

Cyber Stein was sold for $23,000 as the second made copy for the SJC.

Tyler The Great Warrior has no price and was never intended to be sold so he isn't the most expensive Yugioh card and he isn't worth anything because he will not be sold.

As for the most Yugioh card so far it's Cyber Stein but there's a Japanese Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon with Armor on it with alternate artwork worth $500,000. People have heard of it but there are no pictures of it.

What you're thinking of is an alternate art Blue-Eyes Ultimate released as the first place prize for a Yugioh tournament. It's less famous than Tyler so it's probably worth less (even though there are less copies as there are three copies of Tyler, at most two of Blue-Eyes (one for archives). The Normal version of Black Luster Soldier is probably worth even more due to it being from the first Japenese Yugioh tournament.BobaFett2 (talk)

Why do you even include "Tyler"?

Ok, hounestly Tyler shouldn't even be included in this because 1) only one person in the world owns it 2)the card itself sucks for three reasons. a) def is terrible. B)it is easily killed. C)that same effect has been on at least one other card or it's reverse has so that you gain the Atk of the destroyed monster which is thought ruler archfiend's effect. In anycase from what I know of the original morphing jar ultra or super rare I believe it is is going for 400.00US each.

  • Nah duh it sucks. The point is it is RARE. People like rare things. Like antiques, they're useless, but cool just to have.--Helix-king (talkcontribs) 04:11, October 6, 2011 (UTC)

Unfair

those dumasses should rerelease the championship cards for a premium pack, either that or those cards should never of existed. I like big old hamsters oh and if you delete this a hamster with a chainsaw will kill you.

Prices depend on the seller

Anybody could put any card on EBay for several hundred-thousand dollars (or an equivalent amount). Now, would anyone buy that, probably not. Also, card businesses can earn shit-loads of money, if the card game is popular enough, by releasing a few "Extremely-freakin-Rare" cards that may only cost them <1 - 5 dollars to make. Those few cards could sell for at least $1000 if they are all "shiny" and holographic. Right there they could get a 999.50-994.00 dollar profit.

How much do you actually think it costs for them to make a single "shiny" card?
