Ok so I know that pseudo-flip effects work essentially like flip-effects, that they resolve after they're destroyed when being attacked. But those effects that say "When this card is flipped face-up: *you can*..." (like Evoltile Lagosucho), do they miss the timing? Because the *you can* is the deciding factor whether trigger effects miss the timing or not, but does the same apply to pseudo-flips? Eskimoprime3 (talkcontribs) 06:56, November 25, 2012 (UTC)

It's a Trigger Effect, so it can miss the timing.
The deciding factor is "when... you can...".
Regular FLIP effects which include "you can" (like Penguin Soldier) will not miss the timing for two reasons: because it does not say "when... you can...", and because all regular FLIP effects are Mandatory (Penguin Soldier will still activate whether or not you choose to use the effect)
