Video game debutYu-Gi-Oh! Duel Generation
Cook, Jim Crocodile

Jim Crocodile Cook is a Duelist Construct of Jim Crocodile Cook from the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX series in the Virtual Dueling System. He is also the opponent that the player faced in Stage 6-2 of the GX Campaign mode in Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Generation. The player has to defeat him in a Duel in order to unlock the next stage and progress Campaign mode.

Appearance[edit]

As a Duelist Construct, his appearance is based on Jim Crocodile Cook, and the outfit is what he normally wore in the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX anime series. Also, the crocodile on this Duelist Construct's back is based on Shirley, Jim's pet crocodile in the GX anime series.

Etymology[edit]

His given name and surname "Jim Cook" is based on Captain James Cook, the English explorer who was the first European to discover the east coastlines of Australia and Hawaiian Islands, the first to record circumnavigation, and mapped out Newfoundland and New Zealand. His middle name "Crocodile" comes from crocodile, a large aquatic reptiles that live throughout the tropics in Africa, Asia, the Americas and Australia.

In the French, his given name and surname is still "Jim Cook", but his middle name "Crocodile" was omitted. In the German version, his given name and surname is still "Jim Cook", but his middle name "Crocodile" is treated as a nickname. In the Italian version, he is simply refers to as "Jim" with no middle name, nickname or surname. In the Spanish version, his given name is "Jim" while his surname is "Cocodrile", a corrupted form of the word "Crocodile".

Rewards[edit]

There are a total of six rewards that the player can earn and received after defeating the Duel Construct in a Duel. The first two rewards are cards that come from the Duel Construct's Deck and the third reward is a recipe for their Deck. Then the fourth, fifth and sixth rewards repeated the same process of the three earlier rewards, but in a harder difficulty with a different Deck. In addition, the sixth reward will allow the player to have the Duel Construct's avatar and the ability to Duel them anytime between the two difficulty.
