Jinzo (character)

Jinzo, known as Android - Psycho Shocker in the Japanese version, is an evil Duel Spirit of the card "Jinzo", who seeks to become a real person by taking the souls of those who summon him.

Biography

A group of three students, including Torrey, unwittingly call him forth, in a forbidden ceremony. After Torrey's friends involved in the ritual suddenly vanish, and Torrey starts seeing Jinzo, fearing his safety, he informs Jaden of the recent events. After Jinzo's next appearance, Jaden proceeds to Duel him, defeating him in a Shadow Duel. Because of his loss, Jinzo is forced to give up his ambition of returning to life.[1]

Jaden recalls his life-or-death Duel with Jinzo during a similiar Duel against Nightshroud.[2]

Non-canon appearances

In Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force, Jinzo appears during Part 1 (after you beat the Story Mode at least once) at the Forest after 11:00 PM. If you talk to him during and accept to give him 60,000 DP, he will become your partner.

In Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force 2, Jinzo appears in Alexis Rhodes' storyline. The opponents that Alexis and the player defeat in storyline events begin to vanish after Dueling them. At the end, Jinzo is confronted at the Abandoned Dorm. He teams with Titan, as the two were attempting to gather enough souls to suit both their purposes. The students are released upon their defeat. Jinzo will then randomly appear on the field in your next Story Mode playthroughs and can be selected as a partner (if you beat him in Duel at least 10 times)

Design

Linework

Jinzo's usual outfit consists of a long coat equipped with shoulder pads and spiked collar, bracelets and belt. His face features thick veins and signs of deformity with the greatest part covered by a mask. The optional "Amplifier" features a helmet inserting various needles.

Decks

Anime

Jinzo plays an Occult Jinzo Deck which focuses on the abilities of "Jinzo" and "Ectoplasmer" which in turn helps him consistently revive his "Malice Doll of Demise" card which thrives on being sent to the Graveyard through the effect of "Ectoplasmer". This is similiar to the strategy that Arkana used in the previous series.
