He faced the [[Duel Machine (manga)|Duel Machine]] in a [[Seto Kaiba and the Duel Machine's Duel (manga)|Duel]], while [[Mokuba Kaiba (manga)|Mokuba Kaiba]] and a team of researchers observed. [[Chief Kuwabara]] expressed concern that Kaiba might not be able to win, as the Duel Machine was using Kaiba's Deck from [[Duelist Kingdom (manga)|Duelist Kingdom]], with three "[[Blue-Eyes White Dragon (manga)|Blue-Eyes White Dragons]]". However Kaiba managed to win using "[[The God of the Obelisk]]", whose power overloaded the machines, causing them to go haywire.<ref>{{chapter|Yu-Gi-Oh!|148|ref}}</ref>

[[Industrial Illusions]], led by [[Yako Tenma]] hacked into [[KaibaCorp]]'s computed system, resulting in panic at the KaibaCorp head office. [[Isono (manga)|Isono]] ordered a complete system shutdown, despite knowing it would stop [[Duel Disk]]s all over the world from functioning. However Tenma gained control before they were able to do so. A [[Solid Vision]] projection of himself appeared in the office building and he floated towards the [[Duel Ring Server]], which his master, [[Maximillion J. Pegasus (manga)|Maximillion J.
