Leo and Luna's Duel Carnival is an event that occurred in Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links.

Event Flow
This event has multiple rounds, with each round running for two days. During a round, a Round Question is posed; the question asks which of two cards from a certain Type is stronger. Each card is represented by a faction. Players must pick a faction in order to participate in a round, and cannot change their faction for the duration of that round; players have until 10 minutes before the end of the round to choose a faction. During a Duel, monsters with the same Type featured in the current round gain a 300 ATK bonus.
When a player chooses "Entry & Duel", they are matched with another player to duel against. After defeating an opponent, they are added to a team match (if not already part of one). A team match consists of two teams of up to five players each racing to obtain Event Points, with each team representing one of the two factions. A team is disbanded after one hour if neither team in the match has won. The team that reaches 40,000 Event Points wins the round for their faction, with any additional Event Points earned after the end of the team match being ignored. When a team match ends, all participants will receive Treasure Boxes depending on their performance during the round.
The number of points a player earns in the Duel Assessment of an event Duel are also obtained as Event Points and contributed to their team's total. Each player's relative Event Point contribution for their team is displayed to all players in the match.
The faction that wins the most team matches in a round wins that round. The winning faction is announced after the end of the round. If a Duel continues after the round ends, it will not be counted, and the team with the most Event Points when the round ended will be considered the winner.
Starting on August 8, 2019 (December 16, 2019 on the second run), there is a chance that a Bonus Match will occur when entering a team match. During a Bonus Match, players earn more Treasure Boxes.
Starting on August 10, 2019 (December 13, 2019 on the second run), there is a chance that Leo or Luna will challenge the player as an NPC when entering an event Duel. This Duel still contributes Event Points as normal.
December 2019 Changes
In order to balance the match making system, icons are now assigned to each player based on their performance during the event. Players with similar icons will be matched against each other. The initial matches are decided based on the previous 5 seasons of Ranked Duels and the previous KC Cup.
The daily Gem bonus was changed from being rewarded after each victory to being rewarded after completing a Round in a team.
Duel Assessment
In addition to standard Duel Assessment bonuses, there are several event exclusive Duel Assessments. These bonuses increase the player's Duel Assessment, which then are also used as Event Points.

The total number of Event Points that the player has earned is tracked during the event as Cumulative Event Points. The player receive rewards for reaching certain Event Point milestones.

How to Obtain
After a team match ends and the player's team disbands, they are awarded a number of Treasure Boxes, depending on a number of factors including their own performance and their team's performance.

Card Trader EX
The Card Trader EX appears during this event and remained open until one week after its conclusion. The player can trade their EX Jewels for cards, Booster Items, and Gold. Each card and Booster Item can only be obtained once from the Card Trader EX during this event, but the Gold can be obtained any number of times.
