Light and Darkness Dragon (character)

Light and Darkness Dragon is Chazz Princeton's Spirit partner.

BiographyEdit

Chazz Princeton acquired the "Light and Darkness Dragon" card in a pack. He dropped the card when receiving an autograph from Koyo Hibiki. Koyo had never seen the card before and advised Chazz to cherish it. Koyo's spirit partner, Winged Kuriboh imparted something into the card,[1] causing it to house a spirit.

Capable of seeing the spirit, Chazz regarded the card to be mystical and considered himself to be chosen by the Duel gods. Using the card, he entered all the junior tournaments and always won.[2]

After Chazz started attending Duel Academy, people began spreading rumors of him only gaining access to the Academy because of his wealth. In order to prove them wrong, Chazz buried the card to prove he could win using his own strength. He proceeded to Duel Jaden Yuki without it, while Jaden used his own spirit partner, Winged Kuriboh.[2] Light and Darkness Dragon watched over the Duel and was spotted by both Chazz and Jaden afterwards. Chazz's defeat in the Duel and Jaden's words about trusting and battling alongside ones cards pressed him to recover the Light and Darkness Dragon card. He said that he had never stopped trusting Light and Darkness Dragon, but allowed his pride and fear of failure to come between them. No longer afraid and wanting to grow together, Chazz asked Light and Darkness Dragon to battle alongside him again.[3]

Chazz vowed to defeat Jaden with Light and Darkness Dragon as his partner.

Chazz fulfilled his vow, as he and Light and Darkness Dragon defeated Jaden in the tournament. The card is referred to as the "Feather of Ma'at" by Tragoedia and its allies, who fear it as a severe threat to their plans.
