Biography

Mako took part in the Duelist Kingdom tournament, where he was defeated by Yugi Muto.

The Sacred Cards

Mako took part in the Battle City tournament and hoped to take the prize money to buy a boat. At the Clock Tower Square, the player challenged Mako to a Duel, which he declined since the tournament had not begun yet.

At the aquarium, Mako defeated Joey Wheeler in a Duel. Initially, he refused challenges from the player, but after the player defeated Joey, Mako accepted a Duel with a Locator Card on the line. After losing, Mako felt like he had failed his father. Joey tried to offer Mako some encouragement and the player was prompted to speak.

  • If the player said "cheer up", Mako left the aquarium saying he needed to get stronger and would come back for the player.
  • If the player said "tough", Mako said that he did not need the player's vacant pity and would keep on Dueling. He stayed in the aquarium and accepted further challenges from the player.

Mako relocated the pier, where he liked watching the sea, which calmed his soul. After the player defeated Joey Wheeler a the pier, they were able to repeatedly challenge Mako to Duels there.
