"That Guy from the Future" is the thirty-ninth episode of the Yu-Gi-Oh! GO RUSH!! anime. It first aired in Japan on December 25, 2022.

Something abnormal happens to Yuna during the Duel with The☆Lugh, but she is saved by a boy. He's the same boy who once entrusted Yudias with a Duel Disk and some cards. In order to turn the Duel around, the boy from the future takes over for Yuna and fights alongside Yudias against The☆Lugh!

Featured Duel: Yudias Velgear & That Guy vs The☆Lugh 1 & The☆Lugh 2

Duel continues from the previous episode.

Yudias and That Guy have 2000 LP, "Spell Arsenal" (400/1000) and "Sevens Road Magician" (2100/1500) face-up on their field, both in Attack Position, "Shining Guard" face-down in their Spell & Trap Zone and "Transamu Rainac" in Yudias's hand; The☆Lugh 1 and The☆Lugh 2 have 2400 LP, two copies of "The Dragias" (2500/1500) face-up on their field, both in Attack Position and one of them equipped with the Equip Spell Card "Vice Slasher", which increases the ATK of the equipped monster by its original ATK, but it cannot attack directly ("The Dragias" 1: 2500/1500 → 5000/1500), and "Dragon Double-Doom" face-down in their Spell & Trap Zone.

Turn 4: That Guy
That Guy activates the effect of "Spell Arsenal", shuffling a monster, a Spell Card and a Trap Card from his Graveyard into the Deck to send it from his field to Graveyard, then draw a card and show it, then if that card is an Equip Spell, he can draw an additional card. That Guy shuffles "Galactiara Eve", "Galactica Mining" and "Dead or Arainac" from Yudias's Graveyard into the Deck and sends "Spell Arsenal" from his field to the Graveyard, then draws and shows "Road Arms - Sword Breaker", then draws "Valkyrian Guard". That Guy activates the effect of "Magician", sending the top card of his Deck to the Graveyard to increase its ATK by the number of different Attributes in his Graveyard x 300 until the end of this turn. That Guy sends "Sevens Road Witch" from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard ("Magician": 2100/1500 → 3900/1500). As That Guy doesn't have a face-up "Road Arms - Sword Breaker" on his field, he activates the Equip Spell Card "Road Arms - Sword Breaker", equipping it to a face-up "Magician" on his field to increase its ATK by 1000 for each equipped Equip Spell Card on the field and prevent it from being destroyed by The☆Lugh 2's Trap Card effects. That Guy equips "Road Arms - Sword Breaker" to "Magician" ("Magician": 3900/1500 → 5900/1500). That Guy Sets "Valkyrian Guard" in his Spell & Trap Zone. "Magician" attacks the second "The Dragias". As That Guy's monster declared an attack while The☆Lugh 2 has a face-up High Dragon Type or Dragon Type monster on his field, The☆Lugh 2 activates his face-down Trap Card "Dragon Double-Doom" to choose the attack target for that attack, then if The☆Lugh 2 has two or more face-up monsters with the same name on his field, he can destroy a monster on That Guy's field. The☆Lugh 2 chooses the first "The Dragias", then tries to destroy "Magician", but due to the effect of "Road Arms - Sword Breaker", it isn't destroyed. The attack continues and the first "The Dragias" is destroyed (The☆Lugh 1/The☆Lugh 2: 2400 → 1500 LP) ("Magician": 5900/1500 → 4900/1500). As That Guy ends his turn, the ATK of "Magician" returns to normal ("Magician": 4900/1500 → 3100/1500).

Turn 5: The☆Lugh 1
The☆Lugh 1 draws "Ray Dragon", "Back To The Fusion", "Fusion", "The Copy" and "The Recyclone". As That Guy has a face-up Level 7 or higher monster on his field, The☆Lugh 1 activates the Spell Card "The Recyclone", shuffling an Equip Spell Card from his Graveyard into the Deck to destroy a Spell/Trap Card on That Guy's field, then if an Equip Spell Card was destroyed this way, The☆Lugh 1 can draw two cards. The☆Lugh 1 shuffles "Vice Slasher" from The☆Lugh 2's Graveyard into the Deck and destroys "Road Arms - Sword Breaker" ("Magician": 3100/1500 → 2100/1500), then draws "The Cancel" and "The Battle Bump". As That Guy has a face-up Level 7 or higher monster on his field, The☆Lugh 1 activates the Spell Card "The Copy" to Special Summon a monster with the same name as a face-up Normal Monster on his field from his Graveyard face-up to his field. The☆Lugh 1 Special Summons "The Dragias" (2500/1500) from The☆Lugh 2's Graveyard in Attack Position. The☆Lugh 1 activates the Spell Card "Fusion" to Fusion Summon by sending face-up monsters from his field to the Graveyard as material. The☆Lugh 1 sends a copy of "The Dragias" from his field and another copy of "The Dragias" from The☆Lugh 2's field to the Graveyard and Fusion Summons "The Dragiastar" (3300/2500) in Attack Position. As The☆Lugh 1 Normal or Special Summoned a monster, That Guy activates his face-down Trap Card "Valkyrian Guard" to Special Summon a Level 4 Spellcaster Type monster from his Graveyard in Attack Position, then he can change up to three Attack Position monsters on his field to face-up Defense Position, including "Magician's Valkyria", then this turn prevent them from being destroyed by battle while they are in Defense Position. That Guy Special Summons "Magician's Valkyria" (1600/1800) from his Graveyard in Attack Position, then changes "Magician" and it to Defense Position. As The☆Lugh 1 has two or more Normal Monsters with the same name in his Graveyard, he activates the effect of "The Dragiastar", sending a card from his hand to the Graveyard to either allow two Attack Position monsters with the same name on his field to attack twice this turn, or Special Summon two Normal Monsters with the same name from his Graveyard face-up to his field. The☆Lugh 1 sends "Ray Dragon" from his hand to the Graveyard and Special Summons two copies of "The Dragias" (2500/1500) from The☆Lugh 2's Graveyard in Attack Position. As The☆Lugh 1 has two or more face-up monsters with the same name on his field, he activates the Spell Card "Back To The Fusion" to add a "Fusion" from his Graveyard to his hand, then if he has two or more Normal Monsters with the same name in his Graveyard, he can add one of them to his hand. The☆Lugh 1 adds "Fusion" from his Graveyard to his hand, then adds "Zero Drake" from his Graveyard to his hand. The☆Lugh 1 activates "Fusion". The☆Lugh 1 sends both copies of "The Dragias" from his field to the Graveyard and Fusion Summons a second "The Dragiastar" (3300/2500) in Attack Position. The☆Lugh 1 activates the Equip Spell Card "The Battle Bump", equipping it to a face-up monster on his field to increase its ATK by 200, prevent Yudias and That Guy from activating Equip Spell Cards while the equipped monster is face-up on the field, and if a Defense Position monster attacked by it isn't destroyed, he can change that monster to face-up Attack Position. The☆Lugh 1 equips "The Battle Bump" to the first "The Dragiastar" ("The Dragiastar" 1: 3300/2500 → 3500/2500). As The☆Lugh 1 has two or more Normal Monsters with the same name in his Graveyard, he activates the effect of the second "The Dragiastar". The☆Lugh 1 sends "Zero Drake" from his hand to the Graveyard and chooses both copies of "The Dragiastar". The☆Lugh 1 Sets "The Cancel" in his Spell & Trap Zone. The first "The Dragiastar" attacks "Magician's Valkyria", but due to the effect of "Valkyrian Guard", it isn't destroyed, so The☆Lugh 1 changes it to Attack Position with the effect of "The Battle Bump". The second "The Dragiastar" attacks and destroys "Magician's Valkyria" (Yudias/That Guy: 2000 → 300 LP). The first "The Dragiastar" attacks "Magician", but due to the effect of "Valkyrian Guard", it isn't destroyed, so The☆Lugh 1 changes it to Attack Position with the effect of "The Battle Bump". The second "The Dragiastar" attacks "Magician". As The☆Lugh 1's monster declared an attack while Yudias has four or more LIGHT Attribute monsters in his Graveyard, Yudias activates his face-down Trap Card "Shining Guard" to change an Attack Position monster on his field to face-up Defense Position. Yudias changes "Magician" to Defense Position. The attack continues, but due to the effect of "Valkyrian Guard", "Magician" isn't destroyed.

Turn 6: Yudias
Yudias draws "Vortex Shooter", "Interstellive", "Interstellime" and "Galactica Mining". Yudias Normal Summons "Interstellime" (1000/0) and "Interstellive" (1000/0). As Yudias has "Interstellime" face-up on his field, he activates the effect of "Interstellive" to draw a card. Yudias draws "Galactica Singularity". Yudias activates the Spell Card "Galactica Mining", sending two face-up Galaxy Type monsters from his field to the Graveyard to add a Spell Card from his Graveyard to his hand. Yudias sends "Interstellime" and "Interstellive" from his field to the Graveyard and adds "Fusion" from That Guy's Graveyard to his hand. Yudias Normal Summons "Rainac" (1600/0). Yudias activates "Fusion". Yudias sends "Magician" and "Rainac" from his and That Guy's fields to the Graveyard and Fusion Summons "Transamuroad Rainac" (2900/2000) in Attack Position. As Yudias Special Summoned a Level 9 or lower monster(s), The☆Lugh 1 activates his face-down Trap Card "The Cancel" to shuffle one of those monsters into the owner's Deck, then Yudias can Special Summon two monsters from his Graveyard face-up to his field, including a Level 4 or lower monster. The☆Lugh 1 shuffles "Transamuroad Rainac" into the Deck, then Yudias Special Summons "Interstellime" (1000/0) and "Rainac" (1600/0) from his Graveyard in Attack Position. Yudias Normal Summons "Vortex Shooter" (1400/1000). As Yudias has three face-up Galaxy Type Normal Monsters on his field, he activates the Spell Card "Galactica Singularity" to send the top three cards of his Deck to the Graveyard, then if he sent a monster, a Spell Card and a Trap Card to the Graveyard this way, he adds a monster, a Spell Card and a Trap Card from his Graveyard to his hand. Yudias sends "Vacua Annihilation", "Galactica Force" and "Giant Bulge" from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard, then adds "Magician", "Fusion" and "Valkyrian Guard" from That Guy's Graveyard to his hand. Yudias Tributes "Vortex Shooter" and "Interstellime" to Tribute Summon "Magician" (2100/1500). Yudias activates "Fusion". Yudias sends "Magician" and "Rainac" from his field to the Graveyard and Fusion Summons "Transamuroad Rainac" (2900/2000) in Attack Position. Yudias activates the effect of "Transamuroad Rainac", sending the top card of his Deck to the Graveyard to Special Summon a Galaxy Type Normal Monster from his Graveyard face-up to his field, then he can increase the ATK of all face-up Galaxy Type monsters on his field by the number of different Attributes in both players' Graveyards x 300 until the end of this turn. Yudias sends "Galactica Oblivion" from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard and Special Summons "Oblivion" (2500/2500) from his Graveyard in Attack Position ("Oblivion": 2500/2500 → 4300/2500) ("Transamuroad Rainac": 2900/2000 → 4700/2000). "Oblivion" attacks and destroys the second "The Dragiastar" (The☆Lugh 1/The☆Lugh 2: 1500 → 500 LP). "Transamuroad Rainac" attacks and destroys the first "The Dragiastar" (The☆Lugh 1/The☆Lugh 2: 500 → 0 LP).
