"Nephthys" (ネフティス Nefutisu) is an archetype of female monsters that debuted in Flaming Eternity, and received its first support in Deck Build Pack: Hidden Summoners. They are all related in some way to the archetype's first member, "Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys".
"Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys" appear as a character in Yu-Gi-Oh! Ultimate Masters: World Championship 2006, 2007 and 2008.
Etymology
Nephthys was an Egyptian goddess associated with birth and death.
Playing style
Currently the theme has two main strategies: destroying "Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys" with a card effect in order to activate its effect to Special Summon itself, and Summoning Ritual Monsters to use as Link Materials for "Nephthys, the Sacred Flame".
