ZEXAL]]'' anime. Each monster in the series is a [[Ranked-Up]] version of the previous monster, which can be accomplished by the cards "[[Rank-Up-Magic Astral Force]]" and "[[Ascension Spiral]]". These two cards allow monsters to be Ranked-Up by two [[Rank]]s rather than one - a feature that this series is the first to use. The name "New Order" ties in with the various ideas of a [[wikipedia:New World Order (conspiracy theory)|New World Order]], which their user has established in the [[Astral World]] by diverting the entire world's resources towards "Ranking Up" the inhabitants. Additionally, the term "new order" could also imply a change in military tactics which parallels Eliphas' desire to delete [[Astral]]'s memories of Yuma to turn him back into a soldier; an act of giving him "new orders". The "Order" part of the name is also the opposite of "Chaos" which could be a reference to the fact that Eliphas is against chaos energy and believes it has corrupted Astral.
