Dolphin (イルカ Iruka) is a series of Sea Serpent monsters closely related to the Field Spell Cards "Umi" and "Big Umi" in Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel. It is used by Yujin Goha in Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS.
Members
Monsters in the series are based on dolphins. Each has a portmanteau name that combines "iruka" (Japanese for "dolphin") and another word that describes that member.
Monster | Origin |
---|---|
Dolphin King Iruqua | Iruka + aqua |
Kataomoiruka | Kataomoi (Unrequited love) + iruka |
Light Dolphin | Karui (Lightweight) + iruka |
Playing style
The series centered around having the Field Spell "Umi" or "Big Umi" to activate various effects. The Spells/Traps of the series also support WATER and/or Sea Serpent monsters to various degrees, with "Seastorm of Iruqua" specifically encouraged running Sea Serpent Normal Monsters, namely the series' strongest in-theme monster "Dolphin King Iruqua".
Just like with any Rush Duel theme that utilizes "Umi", "Levia-Dragon - Daedalus" is a good choice for a Legend Card due to its powerful field-clearing effect and getting supported due to being a WATER Sea Serpent monster. Alternatively, "Abyss Soldier" can also be used as an out to monsters that resist destruction effects.
