Nitemare (Dark Duel Stories) |
Nitemare, known as Card Majin in the Japanese version, is a character in Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Duel Stories. He is one of the few characters in the game that did not appear in the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga.
Nitemare first appears to the player in the form of DarkNite. In the Japanese version, DarkNite is referred to as Card Majin (カードまじん Kādo Majin), while Nitemare is referred to as Card Majin true form (カードまじん・しんのすがた Kādo Majin shin no sugata). A majin is a malevolent deity that causes misfortune and disaster.
As DarkNite, he is considered to be the game's final boss and is unlocked by defeating all the Stage 3 opponents five times each. By defeating DarkNite five times, the player unlocks the password to view the game's credits, 42382443
, and unlocks the post-game stage, with Yami Yugi as its only opponent. The opponent in the post-game stage can be changed to Nitemare, using the password, 43504084
