[[Bandit King Bakura]]then arrives, after plundering the tomb of Atem's father, Yami crosses Pharaoh [[Aknamkanon]] and dragging the treasures and his corpse to the afterlife palace. Seto and becomes Bakura Summon Monster Kas, which battle. Bakura's [[Diabound]] defeats Seto's dragon. He mocks Atem once againby trampling on his father's corpse. As the priests Summon more monsters to fight Diabound, free Atem walks over and takes his father's body from Bakura. The priests desperately use their monsters to protect Atem as he does so. Atem steps in to join avenge his friends in father and summons [[Obelisk the Tormentor (original)|Obelisk the next worldTormentor]]. Obelisk battles Diabound. Bakura realizes he can't win, so he and Diabound flee.

===Yu-Gi-Oh! GX===In English dubAtem spots Bakura leaving the palace, after he had snuck in to possess [[Aknadin]] with [[Mr. SteinZorc Necrophades|Zorc]] mentions during his history class that . Yugi defeats all the present day holders of the and [[Millennium ItemsScales|Scales]] in the tournament, each process. Yami Bakura then freezes time sealing their Item in one of the cards. Using the six cardsRPG, allowing Aknadin, corrupted by Zorc, Yugi is able to send Atem homegather the remaining Items off the other priests.

===Battling Using the Mages===When Atem arrives home the Mages have taken over Items Aknadin performed the dynasty. He heads ritual to the King's Valley in search of the Forbidden RuinsSummon Zorc Necrophades, while Atem watched helplessly. Here he meets [[Sadin]]Zorc attacked Atem and his companions, who recognizes him as Princewhile they were still frozen, but does not know the location of the Forbidden Ruins. So Atem returns to the Pharaoh's Palace, which is now Hassan arrived just in ruins. After confronting and defeating a [[Mage Soldier]] here Atem finds a map to the Forbidden Ruins. Atem returns time to defend them from the King's Valley, where the Sadin now escorts him to the ruins. Here he finds a map to the locations of the Millennium Items. [[Priest Seto|Seto]] meets him at the ruins. He informs Atem of the map that shows the location of where Heishin has hidden the Items and that he plans to betray Heishinattack.

After defeating Yugi defeats a manifestation of Bakura, Yami learns his own name (with the first help of [[The Mages#High Mages|the High Mages]]Joey, Atem meets JonoTea and Yugi, who tells had gone to search for him that ), enabling Atem, in the Mages have kidnapped Teana. ===Battle Ritual at the Dark Shrine===The Prince proceeds to defeat [[The Mages#High Mages|the High Mages]] and acquire all Millennium Items bar After the [[Millennium Rod|RodBattle Ritual]], which Atem's spirit finally crosses over and is held by Seto. After doing so he is met by Seto, who tells him to go finally free to be with his good and closest friends and family in the Dark Shrine, spirit world where his spirit now unguarded. Here he can defeat Heishin. Atem heads to the Dark Shrine, where Seto leads him to Heishin. The prince proceeds and defeats the Guardians [[Sebek]] and [[Neku]] before finding and defeating Heishinrules as Pharaoh once again.

After Heishin's defeat, Seto takes Atem to ===Yu-Gi-Oh! GX===In the Forbidden RuinsEnglish dub, where he confronts him and explains [[Mr. Stein]] mentions during his history class that he used him to gather all Atem ruled over the Items. He tells Atem about Ancient Egypt in the power time of building of the ItemsPyramids, that they can be used to summon a great power. As Seto is about to claim the powerfive milennia ago, Heishin appears with a knife to Seto's neck and demands the Items. Atem hands them over and Heishin uses them to Summon [[DarkNite]]. DarkNite refuses to obey Heishin and turns him into a card, which that he burns. Atem uses the Millennium Item Cards to hold back DarkNite and force him to a duel to send him back where he came from.
