"Yuga vs. Yuga", known as "Yuga Goha" in the Japanese version, is the seventy-eighth episode of the Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS anime. It first aired in Japan on December 12, 2021 and will air in America on July 29, 2023.

Duelists enjoyed the various new rules born from the Original Duel Development Road. However, there was someone who cast a dark shadow on the world of Dueling and stoked conflict between the different rules. An envoy of destruction who believes that Dueling is all about fighting and crushing others. His name: Yuga Goha!

Summary[edit]

In the Ramen Hut, Saburamen and Sushiko face off, Sushiko declaring this is the end and her Sushi Duel Secret Technique - Fatty Tuna. She tosses seven sushi rolls at Saburamen, who unlimbers his oversized chopsticks and declares his Ramen Duel's Secret Technique - Noodle Art Mastery, causing a twister to ramen to engulf the sushi rolls and throw them backwards, reducing both of their LP to zero and completing the Real Time Duel Installation. Briscoe cheers that Saburamen and Sushiko's Ramen and Sushi Duels have been combined to cook up another new Duel and Saburamen excitedly suggests combining them further with Briscoe's Wagyu Karubi Duel, an idea Briscoe seems on board with. Sushiko comments that Yuga's Original Duel Development Road is remarkable and Saburamen agrees, but then they hear three kids arguing over which format is better; Exclusive News Dueling, Post-Apocalyptic Dueling, or Ramen Dueling. Saburamen leaps in between them, politely asking them not to argue over the different formats, and the Duelist supporting Ramen Dueling is pleased to see the format's creator. Saburamen greets them politely and Scoop arrives with Masa and Cub adding that Saburamen speaks the truth and Yuga Ohdo, the creator of the Original Duel Development Road, would surely agree. Yosh arrives as well in his Good Max cosplay, Mason and Hicks flanking him, and he agrees with Scoop; Saburamen is pleased to see them both, as are their respective fans. Yosh states that Dueling is about fighting and having fun within Duels and takes off his helmet as he asks if they agree. The three boys admit they got a little carried away, but a voice comments that he wonders about that. Saburamen gasps "What?" as Yuga Goha lands in front of them, laughing Goha's laugh, and Sushiko and Briscoe recognize him as Swirls from Goha #7 Elementary before correcting themselves that it's Yuga Goha, who laughs again.

Later at the Goha Enterprises Main Office, Mimi tells Gavin that Yosh has been acting strangely; when she saw him after he'd been playing outside, he wasn't dressed in his Good Max costume and had never heard of Rush Dueling, Luke, or any of them, much to Gavin's shock. Romin stomps in angrily, muttering that Sushiko and the others made her so mad and explaining that she'd run into them by chance and greeted them, but they had barely known her, Briscoe and Saburamen only recognizing her as the "cute guitarist" from RoaRomin, though Saburamen believed a person of such fame wouldn't approach them so casually. Romin had tried to assure them that yes, she was the cute guitarist from RoaRomin, but Sushiko had found Romin calling herself that strange and she and her friends had laughed at Romin. Romin angrily asks Gavin and Mimi why it matters she called herself a cute guitarist, and Gavin notes she's missing the point as he and Mimi inch away from Romin's rage, before Mimi realizes that Saburamen, Briscoe and Sushiko also forgot about Romin as Yosh did. Gavin wonders what's going on (though Romin doesn't get the context) and Nail enters the room, noting this is all his work. Gavin is surprised to see Nail, though Romin is more surprised by his delivery uniform, and Nail explains that he saw it while he was returning from his deliveries.

Yuga Goha had confronted Saburamen, Briscoe, Sushiko, the Newspaper Club and the Post-Apocalyptic Club, noting that after they had created new formats it was only natural to want to know which was best. Sushiko had asked if he didn't understand the comparisons were pointless, but Yuga Goha had claimed he didn't, given Duels were a contest of strength and battle, conflict and beating the opponent into the ground were their essence. The arguing kids had agreed that the most important part of a Duel was how one felt upon victory and promptly resumed their stances as they left, despite Saburamen's protests. Scoop had noted he'd heard of trouble springing up between formats and Yosh had commented Yuga Goha must be responsible. Yuga had asked if they thought they could stand up to him, Nana and her Dueling Insects Club arriving to protect him, including the boy in the beetle hat and the boy with the mantis backpack, and Yosh noted it had come to this. Nail had tried to prevent them from letting Yuga Goha provoke them, explaining that he had the Goha Enterprises forbidden card, "Monster Reborn", a terrifying card capable of manipulating the memories of Yuga's opponents, and Yuga Goha had praised Nail's intel. Despite this Saburamen and Scoop had noted Yuga Goha had been stirring up trouble between Duelists left and right, and Yosh believed they had to beat him in a Rush Duel to make him change his ways. Saburamen, Scoop and Yosh had all challenged Yuga despite Nail's protests, and he was powerless to stop everyone else from challenging and losing to Yuga Goha one after the other, their memories wiped. After they were defeated, they all left in a daze, Yuga Goha asking Nail what he'd do, though he couldn't do much with no Deck or account to speak of. Seatbastian had come to Nail's rescue, as his Deck and account were still alive and well, and Yuga had asked the President Drone if "Monster Reborn" would work against a Drone, the Drone confirmed the ritual only worked on human opponents. Muttering that was boring, Yuga ordered the Battle Bug Club to withdraw and flew away using the President Drone as wings again.

Gavin asks in shock if Nail is saying that Saburamen, Scoop and Yosh and the others all had their memories sealed by Swirls' "Monster Reborn" and Mimi asks how Swirls could do such a thing, Romin adding that they can't allow this to continue and Gavin agreeing. The three of them adjorn to Yuga's office to meet with Luke, Roa and Asana and explain the situation, and Asana suggests beginning the search for Swirls immediately, offering to mobilize Goha #6 Elementary's Heavy Cavalry Duel Club, while Roa offers to inform Tyler and the others. Gavin thanks them, though he wants them not to risk Dueling Swirls and Roa agrees. Romin asks Luke how Yuga is doing and Luke admits Yuga is still sleeping, having been constantly working and sleeping since they last met up, Asana noting that he's quite worn down and what happened to Swirls has taken a large toll on him. Roa observes that knowing Yuga, he likely blames himself for what happened to Swirls and Romin gasps. Luke smacks his fist into his palm, pointing out that regardless they have to hurry and find Swirls, Gakuto agreeing that they need to split up and find him before there are anymore casualties. But Yuga isn't asleep, he's crumpled against his desk staring at a data stick in his hand.

Mimi parts from Romin, Gavin and Roa in the corridors, telling them she'll leave Swirls to them. Roa asks in surprise where Mimi is going and Mimi explains there's another child other than Yosh that she's worried about. She heads to the Goha President's office and asks the other Goha Six how Yuo is doing; Yuro confirms Yuo hasn't changed and Yuran notes that all his memories of Dueling have been sealed away, They all look across the room to see Yuo happily puppeteering a teddy bear.

Meanwhile, the search for Swirls has begun; Roa looks in Big Seven Arena, Gavin goes to the Abandoned Dorm, Romin checks the Hologram Man's chamber and Luke and Asana head back to the Nanahoshi Insect Ninja Village. Asana ruefully notes it's deserted and Luke admits he thought for certain they'd be here after hearing Yuga Goha was with the Dueling Insect Ninjas. Asana uncomfortably admits to Luke that Harruchi - Tiger's actions hay have gone a little too far, but he has to understand she can be tactless sometimes. But Luke replies that he believes Yuga's lack of recovery is due to the damage he took from Rush Dueling Luke's older sister, and as for his sister, who is training on the mountaintops, Luke can't forgive Tiger yet.

Back at Goha Enterprises, Yuga is ascending the building in an elevator and Mimi is shocked at Yuo's current attitude. Yuka comments that it's as though he's reverted to his old self, a sentiment Yujin agrees with. But then Yuo cocks his head and cheerfully notes that something is coming, much to everyone else's shock. Mimi quickly calls Luke and warns him that it's an emergency as Yuga steps out onto the Goha Enterprises Main Building's helipad and Yuga Goha flies towards him, Mimi telling them all that Swirls is on his way, much to Gavin, Romin, Roa, Luke and Asana's collective shock. On the helipad, Yuga Goha descends towards Yuga Ohdo, who grins and comments he knew Yuga Goha would come to him. Mimi and the other Goha Six sprint for the helipad door, but it closes before they can reach the two Yugas, much to Yuka and Mimi's frustrating. Yuro grimly wonders if it was their brother's doing as he lands in front of Yuga and retracts his wings, the President Drone detaching from his back with its signature chuckle and confirming that it cleared out the others who would get in the way. Yuga glances back at the door to see Yuka pounding on it, ordering them to open the door and Yujin begs Yuga not to Duel his brother. Yuga turns back to Yuga Goha and asks what he wants, and the other Yuga suggests a Road that could erase all these new formats at once. Yuga gasps and Yuga Goha points out that he knows Yuga has already finished making it. Yuga grins, commenting that he knew Yuga Goha would target him as he holds up the data stick, noting that it will stop all the conflict between rules Yuga Goha has been stirring up if it's installed on a Goha terminal. His friends watch in shock over their phones, Luke gasping his name and Gavin wondering when Yuga had the time to make that, though Roa notes it's as expected of Yuga. Yuga tells Yuga Goha they'll set some terms; if Yuga wins, then Yuga Goha will promise to stop doing bad thing, and when Yuga Goha asks what will happen when he wins, Yuga replies that he'll destroy the data stick, noting there's no backup and making another would take time. Yuga Goha confirms that he desires chaos, for all Duelists to fight, be angry and hate one another, much to Yuga's shock, and Yuga Goha confirms he'll Duel Yuga as he holds up his black Duel Disk, which ripples with darkness. Yuga flinches, but arms his own Duel Disk and calls "Let's go!" and Yuga Goha tells him to let him hear Yuga crying out in despair. They inserts their Decks into their Duel Disks, Yuga Goha's still brimming with darkness and call "Rush Duel!" deploying the blades and the green holographic sphere.

Yuga Goha declares that a messenger of ruin is flying down from a sky of darkness and declares his turn and draws. His hand containing "Storming Wrath‎", "Burial Wrath", "Fiery Infernleon", "Metal Megaleon", and "Kamaleon", he Summons "Kamaleon" and pays 300 LP to activate its effect. As he falls to 3700 LP, Yuga Goha explains that he can send the top three cards of his Deck to the Graveyard, and if one of the cards is a Reptile Type monster he can add a Reptile Type monster form his Graveyard to his hand. Sending "Pierce!", "Elegy of Eternal Darkness", and "Mechaleon" to the Graveyard, he adds "Mechaleon" to his hand and Summons it, before Tributing them both to make repeated Tribute Summons: "Metal Megaleon" and "Fiery Infernleon". Yuga gasps as the two Reptile Type monsters appear and Yuga Goha pays 600 LP to activate the effect of "Metal Megaleon", falling to 3100 LP as he sends the top three cards of his Deck to the Graveyard ("Hammer Crush", "Heavenly Gift", and another "Kamaleon") and if he sends a Reptile Type monster then "Metal Megaleon" will gain 600 ATK until the end of the turn. "Metal Megaleon" glows orange as it powers up to 2300 ATK and Yuga Goha pays another 600 LP to activate the effect of "Fiery Infernleon", falling to 2500 LP as Yuga Ohdo gasps in surprise, and Yuga Goha explains that he can send another three cards from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard, then if he sent a Reptile Type monster he can Special Summon a Reptile Type monster in face-up Defense Position. Sending another "Metal Megaleon", "Destructurtle Meteor", and "Princessleon" to the Graveyard, he Special Summons "Princessleon" in Defense Position. Mimi wonders what Swirls is thinking when he can't attack on the first turn, but Yuka wonders if her brother is setting up to play that monster and have it gain ATK based on the difference in their LP like he did in his last Duel. Yuga Goha Sets two cards, ending his turn and returning the ATK of "Metal Megaleon" to normal.

Yuga Ohdo declares his turn and draws, his hand containing "Mirror Force", "Straynge Cat", "Sevens Road Magician", "Sevens Road Witch", and "Poet Fairy". He Summons "Poet Fairy" and then Tributes her to Tribute Summon "Sevens Road Witch", before discarding "Straynge Cat" to activate the "Magical Sevens Call" effect of "Sevens Road Witch", Special Summoning "Sevens Road Magician" from his hand, and "Sevens Road Witch" joyously conjures the portal for "Sevens Road Magician". Yuga adds that "Sevens Road Witch" also gains 400 ATK, bringing her to 2000, and then sends "Dark Revelation" from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard to activate the "Elemental Road" effect of "Sevens Road Magician", increasing its ATK by 300 for each different Attribute in his Graveyard, and with two (the WIND "Poet Fairy" and EARTH "Straynge Cat") it gains 600 ATK, bringing it to 2700 as Yuga Goha frowns. Yuga Sets a card and then declares his Battle Phase, attacking "Metal Megaleon" with "Sevens Road Witch", who destroys it with a spiral of flaming magic and reduces Yuga Goha to 2200 LP. Then he attacks "Fiery Infernleon" with "Sevens Road Magician", destroying it with a blast of fiery magic and reducing Yuga Goha to 1100 LP. Yuka and Yujin cheer Yuga on as Mrs. Drone arrives and immediately notices Yuran looking thoughtful. Yuran asks them if they don't think something's a little off with Yuga? Mimi realizes Yuran's right; Yuga looks tired, and indeed yuga is panting as he ends his turn, returning the ATK of his two "Sevens Road" monsters to normal.

Yuga Goha holds his hand out, intoning that darkness shall engulf Dueling once again, and he declares his turn and draws five cards: "Circle of Wrath‎‎", "Release Wrath", "Predator Gunleon", and another "Princessleon" and "Mechaleon". He Summons "Mechaleon" and Sets the second "Princessleon", then Tributes his two face-up monsters, chanting "Without body or sound, emerge from the depths of darkness! O supreme predator! Tribute Summon! Predator Gunleon!" Yuka cries that it's his ace from his last Duel and Yuga watches warily as Yuga Goha pays 1000 LP to activate the Spell Card "Release Wrath", falling to 100 LP as he sends five cards from his Deck to the Graveyard, and all five of them - his last "Princessleon", his other two "Fiery Infernleon", "Armored Lizard", and his last "Kamaleon" - are Reptile Type monsters, so "Predator Gunleon" gains 1000 ATK, rising to 3500. Then since his LP are 1000 or less, Yuga Goha activates the effect of "Predator Gunleon" by sending five more cards (another "Hammer Crush", "Yormungarde", "Emperor of the Land and Sea", and two "Scale Incense Liberation") from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard, increasing its ATK by the difference in their LP. Yuga gasps - he has 4000 LP compared to Yuga Goha's 100, so "Predator Gunleon" gains 3900 ATK, skyrocketing to 7400 as Mimi and Yuka repeat the ATK value in shock. Yuga Goha Sets a card and declares battle, ordering "Predator Gunleon" to attack "Sevens Road Magician" and declaring that this is the end as "Predator Gunleon" attacks with "Silent Darkness Assasination", blasting orange energy from its shoulder cannons. Yujin cries that this is bad and Yuka cries for Yuga to watch out.

Yuga activates the Trap Card "Mirror Force", and Yuro gasps as he recognizes it. Yuga explains that it will destroy all of Yuga Goha's Attack Position monsters when he declares an attack, and blue arrows of energy lance from the card and destroy "Predator Gunleon" as Yuga Goha flinces back. Yujin goes wild with joy as Mimi asks what's up with that effect and Yuka proclaims it to be "super kattobashingu". Yuga Goha praises his opponent, that's the spirit, but sends five more cards from his Deck to the Graveyard, including "Warning Scale's Light", to activate his own Trap Card "Burial Wrath", destroying all face-up monsters on the field. Yuga cries "What?!" as "Sevens Road Magician" and "Sevens Road Witch" are both destroyed, and then Yuga Goha also Special Summons "Predator Gunleon" since it was destroyed by "Mirror Force". As "Predator Gunleon" appears again, Yuro gasps that his brother came back from "Mirror Force" with a counter-steer Trap, and Yuga Goha claims he'd never let things end so early. Yuran realizes what his brother means - he hasn't used the forbidden card yet, and Yuka gasps that he means "Monster Reborn". Mimi wonders if Swirls is trying to thoroughly torment Yuga first as Yuga Goha attacks Yuga directly with "Predator Gunleon", blasting him off his feet and reducing him to 1500 LP. Yuga hits the ground hard with a cry and Mimi cries Yuga's name in horror as Yuka gasps in worry, and Yuga Goha asks what's wrong, don't tell him Yuga is surrendering? Yuga tries to struggle up, but falters and falls back on his back, Mimi begging him to get up and telling him he can do it, Yujin and Yuka also urging Yuga to get up.

But Luke yells at Yuga not to get up as he leaps from Yuga's air-conditioning Road and lands beside him, shaking from the impact. Yuga Goha narrows his eyes and Mimi and the other Goha Six are shocked to see Luke too, Yujin uttering a "tuna" of confusion, but then Yuka spots the air-conditioning Road descending and gasps that it's Romin and the others; a repaired Kaizo and Gavin are piloting the machine, with Romin, Roa, Nail and Asana behind them. Yuga sits up and asks if Luke is crying, prompting Romin to note he was trying to look cool by jumping down from a high place and Gavin to comment that it must have hurt. Luke admits that it did, but these are also the tears from Yuga's heart, much to Yuga's surprise and Romin's confusion. Luke explains that Yuga took a beating from Dueling his big sister as he remembers rushing to Yuga's side after his loss, and he adds that with everything that's happened, Yuga has been hurting for a long time, thinking it to be his fault. Asana whispers Yuga's name and Yuga reassures Luke that he's all right and absolutely won't lose this Duel given what Yuga Goha's goal is. But before he can tell them, he collapses and Luke cries his name as he knees beside him, Romin and Asana gasping Yuga's name in horror. Luke holds Yuga in his arms and lies him down, telling him to sleep well before glaring up at Yuga Goha. He takes Yuga's Duel Disk, vowing to continue the match in his place - much to the utter shock of Gavin, Asana, Kaizo, Romin, Roa and even Nail, who protests that this is against providence, and Mimi, Mrs. Drone and the other Goha Six cry out in shock as well. As Luke stands before him, Yuga Goha retracts his mask and he smiles.

Featured Duel: Yuga Ohdo vs Yuga Goha[edit]

This Duel is conducted as a Rush Duel.

Turn 1: Yuga Goha
Yuga Goha's hand contains "Storming Wrath‎", "Burial Wrath", "Fiery Infernleon", "Metal Megaleon", and "Kamaleon". Yuga Goha Normal Summons "Kamaleon" (1000/600). Yuga Goha activates the effect of "Kamaleon", paying 300 LP (Yuga Goha: 4000 → 3700 LP) to send the top three cards of his Deck to the Graveyard, and if he sends a Reptile Type Normal Monster to the Graveyard with this effect, he can add a Reptile Type Normal Monster from his Graveyard to his hand. Yuga Goha sends "Pierce!", "Elegy of Eternal Darkness", and "Mechaleon" from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard, then adds "Mechaleon" to his hand. Yuga Goha Normal Summons "Mechaleon" (800/600). Yuga Goha Tributes "Kamaleon" and "Mechaleon" to Tribute Summon "Fiery Infernleon" (1600/1000) and "Metal Megaleon" (1700/1000). As his LP are lower than Yuga Ohdo's, Yuga Goha activates the effect of "Metal Megaleon", paying 600 LP (Yuga Goha: 3700 → 3100 LP) to send the top three cards of his Deck to the Graveyard, and if he sends a Reptile Type monster to the Graveyard with this effect, it gains 600 ATK until the end of the turn. Yuga Goha sends "Hammer Crush", "Heavenly Gift", and "Kamaleon" from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard ("Metal Megaleon": 1700/1000 → 2300/1000). As Yuga Goha's LP are less than Yuga Ohdo's, he activates the effect of "Fiery Infernleon", paying 600 LP (Yuga Goha: 3100 → 2500 LP) to send the top three cards of his Deck to the Graveyard, and if he sends a Reptile Type monster to the Graveyard with this effect, he can Special Summon a Level 6 or lower Reptile Type monster from his Graveyard. Yuga Goha sends "Metal Megaleon", "Destructurtle Meteor", and "Princessleon" from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard, then Special Summons "Princessleon" (100/600) from his Graveyard in face-up Defense Position. Yuga Goha Sets two cards.

Turn 2: Yuga Ohdo
Yuga Ohdo's hand contains "Mirror Force", "Straynge Cat", "Sevens Road Magician", "Sevens Road Witch", and "Poet Fairy". Yuga Ohdo Normal Summons "Poet Fairy" (600/0). Yuga Ohdo Tributes "Poet Fairy" to Tribute Summon "Sevens Road Witch" (1600/1000). Yuga Ohdo activates the effect of "Sevens Road Witch", sending a card from his hand to the Graveyard to Special Summon a Level 7 or higher DARK Attribute Spellcaster Type monster from his hand, and if he Special Summons "Sevens Road Magician", then "Sevens Road Witch" gains 400 ATK until the end of the turn. Yuga Ohdo sends "Straynge Cat" from his hand to the Graveyard and Special Summons "Sevens Road Magician" (2100/1500) in Attack Position ("Sevens Road Witch": 1600/1000 → 2000/1000). Yuga Ohdo activates the effect of "Sevens Road Magician", sending the top card of his Deck to the Graveyard to have "Sevens Road Magician" gain 300 ATK for each monster with a different Attribute in his Graveyard. Yuga Ohdo sends "Dark Revelation" from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard, so he has two monsters (EARTH "Straynge Cat" and WIND "Poet Fairy") with different Attributes in his Graveyard ("Sevens Road Magician": 2100/1500 → 2700/1500). Yuga Ohdo Sets a card. "Sevens Road Witch" attacks and destroys "Metal Megaleon" (Yuga Goha: 2500 → 2200 LP). "Sevens Road Magician" attacks and destroys "Fiery Infernleon" (Yuga Goha: 2200 → 1100 LP).

Turn 3: Yuga Goha
Yuga Goha draws "Circle of Wrath‎‎", "Release Wrath", "Predator Gunleon", "Princessleon", and "Mechaleon". Yuga Goha Normal Summons "Mechaleon" (800/600) and Sets a monster. Yuga Goha Tributes "Princessleon" and "Mechaleon" to Tribute Summon "Predator Gunleon" (2500/600). As Yuga Ohdo controls a monster, Yuga Goha activates the Spell Card "Release Wrath", paying 1000 LP (Yuga Goha: 1100 → 100 LP) to send the top five cards of his Deck to the Graveyard, and if he sends a Reptile Type monster to the Graveyard with this effect, he can choose a Reptile Type monster he controls and have it gain 200 ATK for each Reptile monster sent to the Graveyard with this effect until the end of this turn. Yuga Goha sends "Princessleon", two copies of "Fiery Infernleon", "Armored Lizard", and "Kamaleon" from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard, then chooses "Predator Gunleon" ("Predator Gunleon": 2500/600 → 3500/600). As Yuga Goha has 1000 or less LP, he activates the effect of "Predator Gunleon", sending the top five cards of his Deck to the Graveyard to have it gain LP equal to the difference in both player's LP until the end of this turn. Yuga Goha sends "Hammer Crush", "Yormungarde", "Emperor of the Land and Sea", and two "Scale Incense Liberation" from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard ("Predator Gunleon": 3500/600 → 7400/600). Yuga Goha Sets a card. "Predator Gunleon" attacks "Sevens Road Magician", but since a monster Yuga Goha controls declared an attack, Yuga Ohdo activates his Set Trap Card "Mirror Force", destroying all Attack Position monsters Yuga Goha controls. "Predator Gunleon" is destroyed. As a Reptile Type monster Yuga Goha controls was destroyed by Yuga Ohdo's Trap effect, Yuga Goha activates his Set Trap Card "Burial Wrath", sending the top five cards of his Deck to the Graveyard to destroy all face-up monsters on the field, then Special Summon one monster from his Graveyard that was destroyed by Yuga Ohdo's Trap effect. Yuga Goha sends "Wrath of Light‎" and 4 unknown cards from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard and destroys "Sevens Road Magician" and "Sevens Road Witch", then Special Summons "Predator Gunleon" (2500/600) from his Graveyard in Attack Position. "Predator Gunleon" attacks Yuga Ohdo directly (Yuga Ohdo: 4000 → 1500 LP).

At this point, Yuga Ohdo falls unconscious and is unable to continue the Duel, so Luke takes his place.

Duel continues in the next episode.
