Roland (The Sacred Cards and Reshef of Destruction) |
Roland, known as Isono in the Japanese version, is a character in Yu-Gi-Oh! The Sacred Cards and Yu-Gi-Oh! Reshef of Destruction. This is a video game depiction of the Isono from the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga and Roland from the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime.
In The Sacred Cards, Roland uses the same Deck and antes as the Duel Computer. His sprite is also used by several KaibaCorp guards, who block the entrance to areas before the player has unlocked them.

Biography
Roland stood outside KaibaCorp headquarters and told the player that the area was off-limits. Although, he would not actually stop him, if he tried to enter. His failure to keep the player out caused Mokuba Kaiba to ask what good he was. If the player challenged Roland to a Duel, he would accept one, but turn down further challenges, insisting that playtime was over.
The player needed Seto Kaiba's help to find Joey Wheeler, who had been taken captive by the Ghouls. He asked Roland where Kaiba was, but Roland was not authorized to give that information and suggested that he ask Mokuba instead.
When the player qualified for the finals, Roland acknowledged him as a skilled Duelist, but said that ultimately Kaiba would win. When the finals were about to start soon, he urged the player to hurry up.
As the finalists gathered at the stadium site, Roland announced the amount of time remaining and warned that finalists not on the airship in that time would be disqualified. When Odion, posing as Marik Ishtar arrived in the final minute, Roland invited the finalists on board the airship. Soon afterwards, he conducted the draw for the first of the quarterfinals, using the Ultimate Bingo machine, which paired up Yugi Muto and Ryou Bakura.
