• This card can be searched by any "Gladiator Beast" monster (except "Andal", "Essedarii", "Heraklinos", "Octavius", "Torax", and another copy of itself), "Test Panther", "Test Tiger", "Gladiator Rejection", "Gladiator Proving Ground", "Test Ape", "Double Tag Team", "Reptilianne Echidna", "King of the Feral Imps", "Ogdoadic Water Lily", "Reptilianne Melusine", "Dark Alligator", "Animadorned Archosaur", "Viper's Grudge", "Snake Whistle", "Reptia Egg", "Damage = Reptile", "Oshaleon", "Flying Kamakiri #1", "Wynn the Wind Channeler", "Wynn the Wind Charmer, Verdant", "Crystal Clear Wing Synchro Dragon", "Divine Wind of Mist Valley", "Kujakujaku", "Soul Rope", "Resonator Engine", "Vampire Dragon", "Summoner Monk", "Primathmech Alembertian", "Battle Royal Mode - Joining", "Rescue Ferret", "Umbramirage the Elemental Lord", "Sangan", "Witch of the Black Forest", and other generic searchers.

• "Waboku" and "Defensive Tactics" can be used or equip "Gladiator Beast's Battle Manica" and "Mist Body" to protect "Gladiator Beast Secutor" from being destroyed by battle and its effect will successfully resolve.

• If none of these options are available, crashing this card against a Defense Position monster your opponent controls will work at at the cost of some LP.

• Use this card with "Gladiator Beast Darius" and/or "Double Tag Team" to Summon four monsters, for a total of five on the field.

• This card's effect does not cause it to leaves the field. As a result, this card's effect can be used to Special Summon "Gladiator Beast Laquari" and any other "Gladiator Beast" monster (preferably one with an instant-trigger effect such as "Gladiator Beast Bestiari", "Gladiator Beast Equeste" or "Gladiator Beast Murmillo") and Contact Fuse the three into "Gladiator Beast Heraklinos".
  • This card's effect could be used to Summon "Laquari" and "Darius", Special Summon a "Gladiator Beast" from the Graveyard, and then contact fuse "Laquari", "Secutor" and the Summoned monster for "Heraklinos". Unlike the other options, this will leave yourself with a spare "Gladiator Beast".

• This card's effect cannot activate if it was not Summoned out of the Deck by a "Gladiator Beast". If it is in your hand, use a card effect to return it to the Deck, such as "Reload", "Card Trader", "Gladiator Beast's Respite", "Disarm" or "Parry".

• If this card ends up in your Graveyard, bring it back with the effect of "Gladiator Beast Darius". From there, it can be contact fused for "Gladiator Beast Essedarii" or even perform an Xyz Summon for a Rank 4 monster.
  • More ranked monsters can also be Summoned through this effect:
    • ***# 2 "Gladiator Beast Samnites" or "Gladiator Beast Toraxs" or "Gladiator Beast Retiaris" to perform an Xyz Summon for a Rank 3 Monster.
      1. 2 "Gladiator Beast Octaviuses" for a Rank 7 Monster.
      2. 2 "Gladiator Beast Dimacaris" to Summon 2 "Gladiator Beast Alexanders" during your next turn in order to Summon a Rank 6 monster.
      3. If there is this card and another "Gladiator Beast" on the field, after this card's effect resolves, 2 "Gladiator Beast Essedariis" can be Summoned for a Rank 5 monster.
  • By combining this card with the above strategies and "Mischief of the Yokai", Ranks 1 and 2 can be Xyz Summoned.

Traditional Format

• This card can be searched by "Last Will".

• Due to the release of "Gladiator Beast Samnite", "Secutor" gained much more power than before. Its new use goes as follows:
  • Summon "Rescue Cat", then send it to the Graveyard to Special Summon "Test Tiger" and "Samnite". Tributing the "Tiger", and then returning "Samnite" to the Deck, "Secutor" will be Special Summoned, and thus gain its effect. Then attack a Defense Position monster or simply make one such through "Book of Moon", or protect yourself through cards like "Waboku", and there will be a "Gyzarus" or "Heraklinos" on your field as early as the very first turn.
