The Speed Duel Logo

The Speed Duel Logo,[1][2] also known as the Speed Duel Symbol,[3] Speed Dueling Symbol,[4][5] and Speed Duel watermark,[6] is a special symbol[7] that indicates that a Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game card can be used in Speed Duels. Only cards with this symbol can be used in TCG Speed Duels.[1][7][6]

AppearanceEdit

The Speed Duel Logo is printed as a glossy watermark in the center of the card text box. The color of the gloss varies between cards.

  • It is a clear gloss on most non-Skill Cards. Due to being a clear gloss, it is not immediately visible when viewing the card straight-on; in scans, it is often difficult to see or entirely invisible.
  • It is a white gloss on Skill Cards.
  • It is a black gloss exclusively on Secret Rare cards (except the Egyptian God Cards) from the Speed Duel: Battle City Box.

In addition to the Speed Duel Logo (which is printed as a watermark), all non-Skill Cards (except those printed in the first pair of Speed Duel sets, Speed Duel Starter Decks: Destiny Masters and Duelists of Tomorrow) also include the text "Speed Duel" above the top left corner of the card text box. This text is rendered in a regular font rather than as the Speed Duel Logo.
