Names

• In episodes 31 and 33, this card was called "Giltia the Knight".
• In episode 45, this card was called "Fierce Knight" (in both of its appearances).
• In episode 58, this card was called "Giltia the Dark Knight".

So, what name should this page be renamed to? Definitely not "Giltia the D. Knight". --UltimateKuriboh (talk • contribs) 03:43, May 14, 2017 (UTC)

Probably "Giltia the Dark Knight", as the most recent and consistent with the TCG name.

However, it might be acceptable to say it's printed as "D.", but read aloud as "Dark". We have a similar case with "Red-Eyes B. Dragon". It's always spoken as "Red-Eyes Black Dragon" in the anime. In Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions, "Red-Eyes B. Dragon" is what is printed on it. (Granted, I don't think we hear its full name spoken in DSOD.) -- Deltaneos (talk) 23:52, May 14, 2017 (UTC)

I do think that we should have separate articles for this card's appearance as a Normal Monster and as a Fusion Monster in the Japanese version. I'm not sure precisely which appearances correspond to each, but if the Fusion Monster version ever had its name read out loud, and there is unique dub name for either card type, I would suggest using that for the page title. If the Fusion Monster never had its name read out loud, I think both as "Giltia the D. Knight" should be fine. --SnorlaxMonster 07:07, May 28, 2017 (UTC)

The only appearance of it as a Fusion Monster was before its appearance as a Normal Monster - in Kaiba's briefcase in episode 1. It never functionally appeared as a fusion. Cheesedude (talk • contribs) 11:17, May 28, 2017 (UTC)

They did have separate pages at one point. However it may be like "Flame Swordsman", which at first had a purple border, despite being played as a Normal Monster. It was later changed to yellow to be consistent with how it was used. The only difference here is we didn't see "Giltia" being used when it had its purple border. -- Deltaneos (talk) 14:43, May 28, 2017 (UTC)
