Just out of curiosity: I have an older copy of Polymerization with the card text "Fuses 2 or more Fusion Material Monsters to form a new Fusion Monster" or something similar. If I use that card, can I still select Fusion Material Monsters from my hand (as stated in the "New Card Lore" in the Errata section), or do they have to be on the field? 24.79.131.140 21:13, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

• To add to what F.G.D owner said, no matter which version of the card you own it is my belief that the game requires you to go by the most recent lore. So you should still be able to freely use older versions of cards in your deck, such as the original Polymerization which states the old lore "Fuses 2 or more Fusion Material Monsters to form a new Fusion Monster", but you have to use them by their errata'd lore. useless?

Do I still need polymerisation? I have loads of fusion monsters but i have never seen a polymerisation magic card in my life... are they even needed anymore? or is there a special way to buy polymerisation cards?

• In response, you most DEFINITELY need a Polymerization card in order to fuse fusion material monsters and summon a fusion monster. This is why fusion's can be tricky because you need the material monsters (usually two or three cards), a polymerization and the relevant fusion monster in your deck. There are actually plenty of polymerization substitutes of varying use depending on the type of monsters you are using, for example Future Fusion allows you to select monsters straight from your deck however, it requires two of your opponents turns to pass before the fusion monster is successfully summoned. Dragon's Mirror can be a Godsend in a Dragon themed deck and also allows you to make good use of your destroyed or discarded dragons. Hope that helps you a bit. it's funny without this card fusion monsters are useless. I have the opposite problem. I have polmerzation and the cards to make the monsters but not the fusion card.

I HAVE ONE MORE QUESTION, CAN I FUSION MONSTERS WHEN THERE ISN'T GRAVEYARD BY THE EFFECT OF DIMENSIONAL FISSURE??. THIS QUESTION 'CAUSE THE POLYMERIZATION SAYS: Send Fusion Material Monsters that are listed by a Fusion Monster Card from your hand or your side of the field to the Graveyard, and Special Summon the Fusion Monster from your Fusion Deck.

Archetype?

Should Polymerization be considered an archetype? I know they are all fusion monster support, but the cards themselves have support. I am just asking to avoid making lousy mistake. MezzoDragon 12:05, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

Wrong Polymerization card in Duelist Pack: Yugi.

The NEWEST Polymerization card in the Duelist Pack: Yugi is the one that they show in the anime (the OCG Polymerization (Fusion)). It has the OCG's Polymerization 8-digit passcode, 27847700. The NEWEST Polymerization card is listed under THIS Polymerization's release section...

The Polymerization (Fusion) card might replace this card altogether because it has updated errata, such as the phrase "Fusion Deck" updated to "Extra Deck".
