This card has a similarity of swords of revealing and concealing light.--David 40 (talk • contribs) 19:40, January 27, 2013 (UTC)david 40
- A "similarity"? The name is clearly a snowclone for 光の護封剣 (Swords of Revealing Light) and 闇の護封剣 (Swords of Concealing Light). This should be "Swords of ----ing Flame" - the problem is, what should the verb be?--Ryusui (talk • contribs) 20:34, January 27, 2013 (UTC)
- "Searing" has been used for "Uria, Lord of Searing Flames", "Searing Fire Wall" and "Soaring Eagle Above the Searing Land"; I originally thought of putting that as the suggested name change, but decided against it. --UltimateKuriboh (talk • contribs) 20:44, January 27, 2013 (UTC)
- Sounds great, I'd vote for that as the name.--YamiWheeler (talk • contribs) 20:47, January 27, 2013 (UTC)
- Last thing though... Is it plural (Flames) or singular? If it's ambiguous, I think it would sound better as plural... --UltimateKuriboh (talk • contribs) 20:48, January 27, 2013 (UTC)
- Good point. One other thing to consider is that, for absolute consistency with the existing pattern, "Swords of Searing Light" might be more appropriate - "Concealing" is actually "Sealing Swords of Darkness" in Japan, to contrast with the original "Sealing Swords of Light". That is, the verb is different in the English version, not the "element."--Ryusui (talk • contribs) 20:53, January 27, 2013 (UTC)
- Mmm, if that is that case, "Searing Light" really doesn't invoke the image of flames; it just makes me think of blinding light. Would "Blazing Light" be okay instead? --UltimateKuriboh (talk • contribs) 21:03, January 27, 2013 (UTC)
It is going to be the name in the dubbed so what you guys think. --David 40 (talk • contribs) 20:51, January 27, 2013 (UTC)david40
- Really, unless this comes out in a set, we're not gonna know the official English name until, I dunno...2014 or thereabouts.--Ryusui (talk • contribs) 20:53, January 27, 2013 (UTC)
- Don't know dude, probably yes--Power32840 (talk • contribs) 20:54, January 27, 2013 (UTC).
