Name

Should the name of these mons be "Fascinating" or "Fascinating Fiend"? Or are we just waiting for a better translation, which may be different altogether? Komodo19 (talkcontribs) 17:00, April 12, 2013 (UTC)

Waiting for a better translation. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 17:34, April 12, 2013 (UTC)

It might be worthwhile to add a Trivia note that their name is a pun on 蟲 (Insect), 蠱惑 (Captivating, Alluring, Tempting, Seducive, etc.) and 小悪魔 (Imp/Rogue/Devil, but has implications of referring to a troublesome little girl.) -- NeoArkadia (talkcontribs) 14:32, April 22, 2013 (UTC)

We're moving the article soon enough to what the Org decided on and that name should make all those things clear. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 14:33, April 22, 2013 (UTC)
It really doesn't need to encompass the 'insect' part, I guess, 'cause one of them is Plant-Type. 64.62.201.16 (talk) 16:54, April 22, 2013 (UTC)

Is there an appropriate place to mention that their pets (pitcher plant, antlion, funnel-web spider) are creatures known for using literal trap holes to hunt? NOT FrogtheJam (talkcontribs) 01:00, August 20, 2013 (UTC)

Sure, just make a new paragraph underneath the first one in the archetype page. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 01:37, August 20, 2013 (UTC)

Translated Name

The current name doesn't answer the puns. "Trap" is not a synonym for "seducing/mesmerizing;" "entrapping" is. Also, the "demon" part is important. ALso, how does "trap' encompass the 'maneater" part exactly? I suggest Entraptrix Demon. People seem to be forgetting there is "demon" in the name, too. It Is I (talkcontribs) 15:49, August 26, 2013 (UTC)

Our name was a place holder (over like 10 god freaking names), and while Atem might mind, I wouldn't mind a better name. I kind of like Entraptrix. . How does Entraptrix signify relationship to insects potentially. (Though Trap = Lore, etc.). Also While Demoin is there, it needs to be remembered that the whole name is a near homonym in Japanese for essentially a sexy attractive young woman. Frankly Traptrix probably ensnares most of what the Japanese names are going for. Entraptrix basically goes for it. The demon part is hard.
Overall most of the name is a difficult to render pun. Entraptrix Succubus potentially? Or a monster similar to a Succubus? - NeoArkadia (talkcontribs) 16:53, August 26, 2013 (UTC)

Going back to the "mesmerizing maneater" name, a "maneater" is a term used to describe women who seduce a lot of men. It's the female version of a "ladykiller", and is less suggestive than "succubus". Forgive me for questioning the relevance of this discussion though, as the cards have already been printed as "traptrix". NOT FrogtheJam (talkcontribs) 17:08, August 26, 2013 (UTC)

The concern is for a better translation of the Japanese. (Personally I think Traptrix goes for a lot of what they were going for. Especially on both the alluring woman (hence -trix) and entrapping (Antlion, Spider, Pitcher Plant) were both done. But it's generally a super hard pun. Traptrix is pretty much the intent/pun the JPN was going for. -- NeoArkadia (talkcontribs) 17:11, August 26, 2013 (UTC)
Well, that is the problem. The TCG name has no indication for the "allure" meaning. The suffix -trix is used generally for anything feminine; it isn't specific to beautiful/alluring. "Entrapping" is a synonym for "seducing;" however, "trap" alone has a different meaning. The TCG just picked 'trap' 'cause they work with Trap Holes. My vote is either for "Entraptrix" or "Entraptrix Demon". TimeForTime (talkcontribs) 17:51, August 26, 2013 (UTC)
Demon is inaccurate. You want a demon that is attractive/alluring/bewitching. - NeoArkadia (talkcontribs) 17:52, August 26, 2013 (UTC)
Well, just "Entraptrix" then. The main issue is that the TCG haven't encompassed the "Kowaku" part. I mean, "Kowaku no Otoshiana" cannot be translated as Trap Pitfall. TimeForTime (talkcontribs) 17:58, August 26, 2013 (UTC)

Adding reference

I add in HAT sub-section about the playstyle accomplishment in 2014 World Championship but it seems something wrong with the reference. The reff is http://ygorganization.com/world-championship-top-4-decklists/ . Please help putting the reference, thank you. Hyoroemon (talkcontribs) 10:49, November 4, 2015 (UTC)
