On the subject of Nightmare Penguin[edit]
I see that the wiki professes that Nightmare Penguin is treated as a "WIND" monster in the anime. Is this actually established anywhere in the show - original or dub - or is it a fan-created explanation for the Dragon Ritual goof? - Chris McFeely (talk • contribs) 10:17, March 7, 2014 (UTC)
- See the anime lore of Dragon Revival Ritual. The Big Five needed to Tribute a DARK, WATER, FIRE, EARTH and WIND monster to Summon Five-Headed Dragon. Nightmare Penguin was the WIND component. ChaosGallade (talk • contribs) 15:17, March 7, 2014 (UTC)
- Yes, but does anything actually SHOW that? Is Nightmare Penguin identified in dialogue, or through use of a symbol on-screen, as the WIND monster? Or is this the result of fans watching the episode and making up an excuse for the mistaken inclusion of two WATER monsters? - Chris McFeely (talk • contribs) 17:01, March 7, 2014 (UTC)
- At the time this episode aired in Japan, "Nightmare Penguin" was not a real card yet, and would not be until about 2 years later (in Rise of Destiny). So there's nothing contradictory about stating this card was a WIND monster in the anime (since it's determined to be WIND by process of elimination and looking at "Dragon Revival Ritual").
- And oh look. --UltimateKuriboh (talk • contribs) 17:47, March 7, 2014 (UTC)
- Ah, see, there we go that's what I was looking for, just some official confirmation of the fact. - Chris McFeely (talk • contribs) 01:33, March 8, 2014 (UTC)
