• Note that if you use "Rank-Up-Magic Barian's Force" or "Rank-Up-Magic Numeron Force" to Xyz Summon this card, you will miss the timing to activate this card's effect to destroy a Spell or Trap Card on the field.
  • If your opponent doesn't have an Xyz Material for you to take when you use "Rank-Up-Magic Barian's Force", then you can activate the effect and destroy a Spell or Trap Card.

• With "Rank-Up-Magic Barian's Force" and "Numeron Force", you can only Xyz Summon this card with either "Number 104: Masquerade" or "Alchemic Magician". Otherwise, with "Rank-Up-Magic Limited Barian's Force", you can use any Rank 4 to Xyz Summon this card.

• You can force your opponent to activate monster effects on their side of the field by switching control of your monsters with compulsory effects (e.g. with "Creature Swap" or "Mystic Box"). Flip Effect Monsters are a perfect example, since they activate their effects as soon as they're flipped, whether the opponent wants to or not; just make sure to force them to flip early on before the opponent can get rid of them. Other candidates include "Ameba", "Griggle" or "Doomcaliber Knight" (if you can activate another monster effect aside from "Umbral Horror Masquerade's").

• Thanks to "Zexal Field" and "Rank-Up-Magic Limited Barian's Force", Summoning this card with all of its effects live has never been easier. Xyz Summon any Rank 4 Xyz Monster of your choice. Then, while "Zexal Field" is up, use "Rank-Up-Magic Limited Barian's Force" on that Rank 4 Monster to Xyz Summon "Number C104: Umbral Horror Masquerade". If your opponent has a Spell/Trap you wish to destroy, build the ensuing Chain with "Umbral Horror Masquerade" as Chain Link 1 and "Zexal Field" as Chain Link 2, thus protecting your card effects from opposing response. Attach "Number 104: Masquerade" to "Umbral Horror Masquerade" as material (and destroy the S/T, if applicable). You now have "Umbral Horror Masquerade"'s devastating second effect at your command.
  • "ZS - Ascended Sage" and "Zexal Construction" can both help assemble "Zexal Field" and "Rank-Up-Magic Limited Barian's Force" to your hand.
  • To maximize the uses of "Umbral Horror Masquerade"'s second effect, you can Xyz Summon "Number 39: Utopia" and then ladder into either "Number C39: Utopia Ray" or "Number S39: Utopia Prime" before using "Limited Barian's Force" to go into the abovementioned combo.
