"Devil's Sanctuary", titled "Devil's Sanctuary!!" (悪魔の聖域デビルズ・サンクチュアリ!! Devil's Sanctuary!!) in the Japanese version, is the 270th chapter of the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga. In its first English printing, it was numbered as the 211th chapter of Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist. In the 3-in-1 edition, its number was changed to match the original Japanese printing.

Even as Dark Marik merges with "The Sun Dragon Ra", Dark Yugi continues to fight, activating the card he Set without even seeing - "Devil's Sanctuary".

Featured Duels: Dark Yugi VS Dark Marik

... continued from the previous chapter

Turn 7: Dark Marik
When Dark Marik attacks directly with "The Sun Dragon Ra", Dark Yugi activates his Set Spell Card, "Devil's Sanctuary", Special Summoning a Metal Devil Token (0/0) in Attack Position. The ATK of the "Metal Devil Token" becomes equal to Dark Marik's current Life Points when it is Summoned, but the Token cannot attack ("Metal Devil Token" 0 → 1/0). "Ra" is forced to attack the "Metal Devil Token". Any battle damage the Token takes will be inflicted to Dark Marik's Life Points. In response, Dark Marik activates "De-Fusion", allowing him to undo his "fusion" with "Ra", and he gains Life Points equal to the ATK "Ra" had before they de-fused, while "Ra's" ATK becomes 0 ("Ra" 4699 → 0/4299 → 0; Dark Marik 1 → 4700). Dark Marik Sets a card. During the End Phase, "Ra" returns to Marik's Graveyard as it was Special Summoned from the Graveyard.

Turn 8: Dark Yugi
Dark Yugi pays 1000 Life Points to keep the "Metal Devil Token" on the field (Dark Yugi 3300 → 2300). Dark Yugi draws "The God of the Obelisk". He then activates his face down "Multiply", allowing him to multiply any monster he controls with 500 or less ATK. He thus multiplies the "Metal Devil Token" from one to three. Dark Yugi Tributes the three "Metal Fiend Tokens" to Tribute Summon "The God of the Obelisk" (4000/4000) in Attack Position. "Obelisk" attacks Dark Marik directly.
