- [Regarding the effect "Target 1 Fish monster you control; destroy that Fish monster, and if you do, add 1 monster with the same name from your Deck to your hand, or, if you controlled a Fish Synchro Monster when you activated this card, you can Special Summon it instead."[1]
- This is the effect applied when this card's activation resolves.
- When resolving this effect, if the targeted monster is face-up and still a Fish monster, destroy it. If it is successfully destroyed, add 1 monster with the same name from your Deck to your hand. If you controlled a Fish Synchro Monster when you activated this card, you can Special Summon a monster with the same name as the destroyed monster instead of adding it to your hand.
- Destroying the targeted monster and adding a monster from your Deck to your hand occur simultaneously. The same is true for Special Summoning a monster instead of adding it to your hand.
- Even if you cannot add cards from your Deck to your hand, you can still activate this card if there is a face-up Fish monster in your Monster Zone.
- [Regarding the effect "You can banish this card from your GY, then target 2 Fish monsters in your GY with the same name; place 1 of those 2 monsters on the bottom of the Deck, and if you do, Special Summon the other."[1]
- This effect starts a Chain and can be activated in the GY.
- When resolving this effect, if both targeted monsters are in the GY, return 1 of them to the bottom of your Deck. If it is successfully returned to your Deck (or Extra Deck), Special Summon the other.
- Returning a monster to the Deck and Special Summoning the other occur simultaneously.
