A Transformation Summon is the act of Special Summoning a Transformed Monster? from the Extra Deck. This is done through the effects of certain cards, including "Form Change" and "Mask Change".

Chazz Princeton explained that Transformation Summoning is like Fusion Summoning, but with only a single component.
