Galleries

Hi there! :) Yap you did really good at the galleries :D DM me if you have any questions ;)SSCooler (talkcontribs) 14:57, January 1, 2016 (UTC)

Thanks! I'll seek incomplete galleries and add the missing stuff whenever I have an opportunity. Pendulum (talkcontribs) 15:06, January 1, 2016 (UTC)

Haha sure! thank you too for contributing :)SSCooler (talkcontribs) 15:15, January 1, 2016 (UTC)

sp/es and kr/ko

While sp and kr are preferable, there's little point in going around updating them since they're functionally identical. It's the kind of task a bot could easily be set up to do, so there's not much point in just doing it manually. (On the other hand, ja being used in the jp table does have a functional difference, so update that one if you see it.) --SnorlaxMonster 17:25, January 3, 2016 (UTC)

Ok, got it! Pendulum (talkcontribs) 17:38, January 3, 2016 (UTC)

Korean cards

They do come in 1st, Unlimited, and Limited Editions. You've been inserting some Korean card image links with no edition, so please refrain from doing that and check to see what possible editions they come in (for whatever product you're inserting them for). --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 02:17, January 4, 2016 (UTC)

I only did it because some of them don't have 1st edition. At least on the product page. And since Japanese ones (which never have a 1st edition) don't list UE in their pic names, I thought, for the Korean which don't have a 1st edition, it worked like the Japanese ones. Don't know if I was clear. Anyway, what matters is I got it and will always use links with edition, regardless. Thanks for the clarification! Pendulum (talkcontribs) 11:01, January 4, 2016 (UTC)

RE:Card Image Upload

I don't see anything wrong with it. Maybe there was a local caching issue on your end, and the image didn't properly load for you? Take a screenshot and upload it to imgur if you like, and then show the link? --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 17:15, January 18, 2016 (UTC)

RE:Other things

  1. Just edit the File page, and add the comma. You should see the button near the top of File:LusterPendulumtheDracoslayer-CORE-KR-ScR-1E.png.
  2. Follow the instructions like I said for "Tragoedia". If there's nothing there, but the space above the "The following pages link to EV12-KR008" line says "Show links", click on "Show" to confirm there are no other links. (You will be able to find the page this way, just try and find it yourself.)
  3. Yes, upload the picture at that location. As a side benefit because the .jpg version is using {{OCG-TCG card image}}, after you upload your .png pic, that template on the .jpg page will update automatically and add a {{Delete}} notice to that page. But if you see other .jpg card images not using the {{OCG-TCG card image}} template, and you upload a .png version of a certain .jpg image, you will need to manually add the {{Delete}} notice to that .jpg page (just by clicking the "Edit" button to do so). --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 18:43, January 18, 2016 (UTC)
You'll have to manually rename the instances where the .jpg image is being used (to .png). --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 19:35, January 18, 2016 (UTC)

I'm making the page better. Go and ask admins if they like it. —This unsigned comment was made by Tugomer (talkcontribs) 13:22, January 31, 2016 (UTC)

You're not making the page better. Each structure deck page has separate pages for card lists and the gallery. We want to keep it that way. ChaosGallade (talkcontribs) 16:16, January 31, 2016 (UTC)

RE:Minor Edits

No, you've been doing nothing wrong. But from what you may be able to see here (currently, as of this message), some of the Japanese card names repeat themselves, for a single card entry. You can see this by the presence of commas in their Japanese names. This always occurs after a card page is moved, and we have no idea of how to prevent it. But we know we can fix it by resetting the {{Card table2}} entry for that card page, so that's why I'm doing it.
But regarding the French names, it'd be really convenient if you could add their French lores at the same time (along with any other legitimate foreign names/lores the card is missing). You can do this by navigating near the bottom of the card page, where you can see the links for "Card Rulings", "Card Gallery" and such, where you'll see "Yugioh-Card card database:" and language abbreviations. From there, you'll be able to access the card's current official lore and name in that language. Be careful when copy/pasting bullet points though, as you'll have to use a line break as well. In that case, just look at how the Wiki formats its bullet points for that card's English text. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 19:24, February 1, 2016 (UTC)

Pendulum Monsters lores

Db660 (talkcontribs) 14:10, February 2, 2016 (UTC)Thank you! I am Brazilian, but lately I'm unable to edit Pendulum Monsters lores (I can write, but at the time I publish, it will not!) If you can tell me why this happens, I am grateful!Db660 (talkcontribs) 14:10, February 2, 2016 (UTC)

First off, you should place the | pt_lore = with this indentation (click Edit to check it) and below the Italian lore and above the Spanish lore. It's a question of organization.
In the case of Monkeyboard, it already had the lines, so you only had to introduce the text. But since you created new spaces for the lore above the ones that already existed, the Wikia didn't output yours.
And I would advise you to use the Preview button too. Pendulum (talkcontribs) 15:16, February 2, 2016 (UTC)

RE:Special Edition Prefixes

Yes, SHSP-SE should be the correct one. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 18:56, February 6, 2016 (UTC)

RE:Special Editions Box Names

That's fine, it's not annoying. As far as I can tell, there is no solid name format for the product images, but adapting after the The New Challengers: Super Edition naming scheme seems fine... the only problems I can see is if a case comes up where there are multiple products for a booster in the same language. But in those instances, I assume we'll treat those as special cases. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 21:50, February 7, 2016 (UTC)

Yes. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 22:00, February 7, 2016 (UTC)

Changing Statuses

Trust me--this is completely my fault for being so naive. It's just that this was the first time I've ever come across an adjusted Forbidden/Limited List rather than an official one. I'm sorry if I unwittingly got you in trouble, too. --Yes, it's PSYCHID! He talks! He does stuff! 12:21, February 8, 2016 (UTC)

RE:Changing Statuses?

Regarding your last question, I'm unsure. For now, it's fine. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 18:29, February 8, 2016 (UTC)

RE:Special Edition Pics

No, you had them right the first time. I.e.

{{OCG-TCG card image
| name = Mutant Mindmaster
| set = PTDN-SE
| region = DE
| rarity = SR
| edition = LE
}}

By the way, I've noticed you leave a space at the end of each line in using {{OCG-TCG card image}}. It doesn't really affect anything, but it'd be appreciated if you could no longer leave those spaces. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 15:09, February 10, 2016 (UTC)

If you upload more card images for other Special Edition sets, but that weird red link appears, that means a template hasn't been made for that set yet. Just look at my recent contributions on what to do in those cases. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 16:39, February 10, 2016 (UTC)

Well, Duelist Pack Collection Tin 2009 has arguably 2 unique set IDs assigned to it: DPCT and RGBT-..PPX. I'd say go with DPCT for the pre-existing image. The pre-existing namespaces for ANPR-PromoEN.jpg and the like can be be changed to ANPRTK-PromoEN.png, while the other image can be renamed to to ANPRSE-PromoEN.png, just so ambiguity can be avoided. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 15:47, February 11, 2016 (UTC)

The rename notices are fine. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 04:07, February 12, 2016 (UTC)

That's fine too. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 21:56, February 12, 2016 (UTC)

If you're only changing the links, it's fine. You shouldn't change anything they're saying though. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 22:45, February 13, 2016 (UTC)

Mover

I've granted you the mover rights. A quick primer:

When you move pages, you should see a box that you check that says "suppress redirect". This should be done only for subpages, such as Galleries and Rulings. It should not be checked if its a main card page, which includes anime and manga card articles. If you have any questions on the functions, let me know. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 01:25, February 18, 2016 (UTC)
Thank you! I hope I won't mess things up. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 09:32, February 18, 2016 (UTC)

RE:Duelist League 15

Sorry, I had messaged the Facebook group and was waiting in the meantime. They gave me an unrelated answer though (apparently they lost their OTS status), not verifying if the cards actually existed in Portuguese. I'm still waiting for them to reply before taking any further action though.
Regarding the Tag Force pictures... We're not really doing anything with them right now; at best, links to them should be located at their respective Tag Force pages. You can ignore them in the meantime.
And yes, I'm always in the habit of checking if there's anything linking to the soon-to-be-deleted page, before actually deleting it --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 16:55, February 20, 2016 (UTC)

RE:Lists's m edits & stuff

Nothing conclusive regarding DL15. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 15:10, February 26, 2016 (UTC)

RE:Korean lores

Not reliably. The sources that I have (card09.com, tcgshop.co.kr, and this random Korean wiki) don't consistently transcribe the lore from their Korean cards; there can be minor errors, and the resulting lore I put down came from squinting and comparing characters until I finally managed to get the lore to match the BE1 print. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 00:19, February 28, 2016 (UTC)

That was a test to see if I could remove its triplicates from the SMW records. It didn't work, so I'm going to leave it deleted for a day or 2 now, and see if that fixes it. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 00:44, February 28, 2016 (UTC)
And sure. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 00:45, February 28, 2016 (UTC)

Adding to queue

Hi Becasita. Do you understand the instructions for adding several images to a queue before moving them? It stops a page from having multiple small edits in its History. I can try and make some instructional images if you'd like. Regardless, thanks for the moves. I hope this is easy enough to understand. IgorThunderMaster (talkcontribs) 00:14, February 29, 2016 (UTC)

You speak!? Hehe. Thanks for the tip! But I've been using the queue since, well, since I have them mover rights. I just don't like to add lots of pics at the same time, I fear it might break or something, and my pc is old, it could just freeze in the middle of the queue's work, hence why I prefer moving only 6~10 files at a time. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 00:23, February 29, 2016 (UTC)
I forgot to talk to you that with the queue you can change JPG images by PNG ones. IgorThunderMaster (talkcontribs) 00:41, March 8, 2016 (UTC)
How so? By changing the name from "<name>.jpg" to "<name>.png"? But that doesn't change the extension, as far as I know. Does it? So what do you mean exactly? Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 09:46, March 8, 2016 (UTC)
Let me explain. In the queue you click on the button "Add manually" so you add "<name>.jpg" into "Old file name:" and "<name>.png" into "New file name:". Did you understand? IgorThunderMaster (talkcontribs) 16:59, March 9, 2016 (UTC)
Ah, so if I already had uploaded a pic in PNG, the queue will replace all the instances of the ".jpg" one by that new one? Cool, that's handy, gotta try it. Thanks! Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 18:24, March 9, 2016 (UTC)
Follow my example. IgorThunderMaster (talkcontribs) 23:59, March 9, 2016 (UTC)
Yeah, I got it and have already done it. Thanks a lot, man, it's pretty convenient. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 00:00, March 10, 2016 (UTC)

RE:Un-linked Redirects

As a general rule, if it's a main page that has kept that certain name for about a month or longer, the redirect should be kept anyway, as there might be sites that refer to that name or even directly link to the Wiki using that name. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 05:59, February 29, 2016 (UTC)

RE:Card name template

Sorry, I'm trying to go through all the WGRT cards (you don't need to help me), so it makes it more painstaking (and unlikely to complete) if I try to improve every single thing I see wrong along the way, making side-tracking an issue. I've been side-tracked many times beforehand with similar projects. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 23:54, March 1, 2016 (UTC)

replace?

why did you uploade the same images i added to those pages did you replace my ? (The Twinke Star in the Skies 11:53, March 3, 2016 (UTC))

Well, I believe ".png" is preferable. The Yu-Gi-Oh!:Image policy actually accepts both. But I think it's more organized to have only one extension (if possible), and since scanned card images should be in ".png", to keep the criteria, I re-uploaded yours as such, since they were recent and being used in recent articles, which already contained other pics in ".png", and 1 (that I didn't notice at the time) or none in ".jpg". So I would ask you to please upload them in ".png" next time. And try to use the {{Fair use}}.
But if you disagree, feel free to report it, or start a discussion on it on the right place. I kinda assumed ".png" are preferable on TV screenshots. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 18:56, March 3, 2016 (UTC)
One more thing: it would be pretty useful if you could provide a link to either your user and/or talk page in your sig. Quoting from Help:Signature: "It should contain an automatic link to your user page, making it easy for others to learn more about you and communicate with you.". Thanks. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 19:04, March 3, 2016 (UTC)

Please try to indent your text, and don't forget to sign it.
I'm not sure of what you mean, but if you're saying your pic was already in ".png", I can prove you it wasn't. See here and here; I changed the ".jpg" into ".png", meaning it was previously in ".jpg". Besides, we can just check your logs to see it was in ".jpg". Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 21:03, March 3, 2016 (UTC)

there you go again

there you go again replacing my images now lulu's page really im pretty cure it was a PNG whats wrong with you the quilt y is Ok (The Twinke Star in the Skies 02:00, March 4, 2016 (UTC))

No need for that language, Loli. It wasn't a png, at the very least it was labelled as a jpg. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 02:13, March 4, 2016 (UTC)

RE:Pic source

This seller seems to be the best (but you should shrink their pictures to be 800 pixels wide... it's just an arbitrary number, so don't go telling other users to do the same thing for card images in general), followed by this seller. That's in terms of foils. In terms of Commons, this seller is best. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 17:30, March 6, 2016 (UTC)

Set number redirects

Thanks for create these redirects. As you do them, would you be able to update the card pages to list the corresponding sets too?

It's handy when looking at set lists, that we can use the number column as a checklist to see which cards have and haven't been updated. -- Deltaneos (talk) 22:58, March 6, 2016 (UTC)

You're welcome! Hum, I'm not sure if I understand what you mean (sorry). Could you give me an example, please? Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 23:04, March 6, 2016 (UTC)
Okay. For this linked set number, the redirect was created and the card page was updated. -- Deltaneos (talk) 22:09, March 7, 2016 (UTC)
Ah. So I guess I missed some? Because I was actually updating the galleries based on the entries of the card pages, and then redirecting the red links that should be redirected. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 22:15, March 7, 2016 (UTC)

Re: RP02-EN Book of Moon

It is. Retro Pack 2 was released worldwide, not just in Europe. I made this error before a few years back and another user (either Cheesedude or UltimateKuriboh) told me it wasn't just EU release.Cardsknower (talkcontribs) 01:00, March 7, 2016 (UTC)

RE:Korean Jet Synchron

I didn't upload the original image; someone else did. I've corrected it though. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 01:57, March 7, 2016 (UTC)

RE: Talk header

Hi there, dear friend, I'm aware of that. As a matter of fact, I too used to put a space between the two words when adding the template to talk pages. However, various users kept removing that space, so I had to accept the cruel truth that the space is nothing more than a burden. --Goblin King - 3000 B.C., Keeper of Evil Squirrels 01:16, March 8, 2016 (UTC)

RE:Card Acronyms

That's something I've thought occasionally about. However, I don't want that to encourage users to start making up abbreviations of their own; I only add abbreviations that tend to show up frequently across YGO communities. I'm unsure if such a thing is worthy of a main page space... a forum namespace might be better. More feasibly, I was thinking of a list of archetypes whose names have been abbreviated. I haven't taken the time to review all the archetypes, but there are some that are long enough to deserve abbreviating. Some examples that I've already done are MPB, BroFist, and SHS (which are used like MPB Token, BroFist Horse Prince, and SHS Battleball). --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 22:43, March 8, 2016 (UTC)

I'm starting to feel uneasy about this now. It reminds me when we allowed users to post "staples," and there was bickering over the finer lines of what could be defined as a staple in the current format at the time. Generic terms like "Buster Fusion" are only going to encourage numerous instances of bland "name-shortening" for other irrelevant cards.
Just keep it to archetype names for now, and keep it restricted to archetypes that seem to be mentioned often enough (and relevant enough) to have people create abbreviations for them. Don't start creating redirects for each their members either; stuff like "Blackwing"s can be very difficult in determining which abbreviated name is used. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 19:24, March 9, 2016 (UTC)
Both abbreviations may be appropriate to use. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 20:34, March 9, 2016 (UTC)

RE: Lists & Galleries display

"Pendulum Monsters with no effect are still Normal Monsters" Exactly why they should be noted as Normal Pendulum Monsters. Unsure on the second point, though I like noting the language and edition. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 15:45, March 14, 2016 (UTC)

RE:PGL3 List

They're not the original source, some German store is. There have been minor mistakes in their spoilers in the past, so it's best not to rely on them.
There are plenty of other sites that can list these supposed set lists, but at least the Wiki lists only the ones that have been definitively confirmed. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 01:28, March 15, 2016 (UTC)

RE:Infernity Beetle

Actually, yes, I just added Tuner and then saved the edit, I swear! I have literally no idea about how that happened. --XBrain130™エックスブレーン130」 16:01, March 23, 2016 (UTC)

RE:M7 pic

That was an exception, and not the norm. Don't worry about it. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 03:33, March 24, 2016 (UTC)

Do whatever you want, other than reverting the image. Feel free to continue asking questions on other matters. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 01:10, March 25, 2016 (UTC)

RE:Korean Editions

There is no clear-cut guide. This is just my conclusion after reviewing several "special" Korean products for 1st and Unlimited Editions. Core booster packs are guaranteed to have 1st and Unlimited Editions. Anything other than a "core booster pack" (REDU, LOB, etc.) appears to only have 1 Edition. In those cases, I just type in a Korean Set ID and see what card images I can find, and check the Edition they have noted on them. Very rarely (possibly never) do I manage to confirm 2 Editions for a "special" product.
In the future, you don't need to say "thanks" or whatever in response to my replies; it's unnecessary. Just leave messages on my talk page if you have something new to talk about. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 03:17, March 29, 2016 (UTC)

RE:Shorten "prev" & "next" parameters

I don't see any pressing reason to do so, since the product names aren't excessively long. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 22:53, March 29, 2016 (UTC)

<RE: Portuguese lores>

Thank you for talking about the Portuguese Lores with me! Indeed, so long ago that I did not do this type of editing, so was finding it strange, I thought something was wrong with my PC. Ok, I will follow all orders (alias, I'm following). Thanks again!

Waboku effect type

Hi Becasita. I have a doubt about the Card effect type of Waboku. It says that the first Card effect type is "Effect" and the second Card effect type is "Condition". Is this correct? The second effect is a Condition? Thanks. Mr Exi Elei (talkcontribs) 04:09, April 3, 2016 (UTC)

Hello, Mr Exi Elei. No it wasn't correct. All an effect. Thanks for noticing it. UltimateKuriboh took care of that (thanks, UltiK). Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 11:18, April 3, 2016 (UTC)

RE:Effect Tuner monsters

It's only a minor detail, which is already handled by the fact that they're already recorded as Effect Monsters in SMW by virtue of the CardTable2 template. It's not that difficult to confuse them as "not Effect Monsters", when looking at their card pages. This doesn't appear to be an errata either, much like how the database has their bulleted effects on separate lines (by default), or how a specific someone once tried to argue that the bullet points shouldn't have spaces separating them from their effects (i.e. ●1 vs. ● 1) because the database has it that way. Another example is that the non-Effect Fusion Monsters on the database lack quotation marks for their first listed Fusion Material. These things appear to just be default setting of the databases, although the Tuner/Effect thing was a relatively new addition. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 23:45, April 6, 2016 (UTC)

I haven't replied yet because I haven't received other opinions in the meantime (I'm gathering them myself), and I'm not fond of sending short messages that don't solve the situation. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 18:39, April 7, 2016 (UTC)

Why revert the changes? Now it's almost as confusing as it was before I cleared things up. What's the point of keeping the duplicate questions? Thanks Fensterhoff (talkcontribs) 09:40, April 11, 2016 (UTC)

The problem is that you manipulated what people said. Some of those sentences date 2009. Do not change them. Keeping a history record is important. Try keeping talk/forum pages as they were, even if some may be a bit confusing. Deleting/manipulating comments is not a healthy option. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 09:45, April 11, 2016 (UTC)

Weird answer

Sorry for the late response; unlike your other messages to me, I genuinely forgot this time.
I find it difficult to believe you don't know of any card databases (especially on unofficial Dueling simulators) that you could use to search for those characters. That being said, I have no idea of how "likely" or not that those characters will ever be used in card names. Japan does weird stuff. As you already know, it'd be best to avoid anything that might mess up your template. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 19:20, April 22, 2016 (UTC)

RE: SD6 SP & Molten Zombie secret

I'm trying to get the existence of a Spanish SD6 confirmed by another source, so I'd appreciate if you don't actively remove the Set IDs yet. It's peculiar since the database actually lists the Deck's "new-upon-release" cards' Spanish names, even though they haven't had any other Spanish reprints (with the exception of "Mythical Beast Cerberus").
Regarding "Molten Zombie"... you're saying that the 1 DR2 image we have of it is different from the other DR2 card images you've seen of it on the internet? If that's the case, it doesn't seem that remarkable. It's probably just a printing error, an ink blotch. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 02:02, April 28, 2016 (UTC)

Doron

Hy need to change the card for Doron because its sucks and its in japanese and sorry i dont know how to put my signature --aasdsd 07:40, May 2, 2016 (UTC)

Hate to break it to you, but Doron is an official card. Yes, it's Japanese-exclusive as of now, but the fact that it's been shown in several English Yu-Gi-Oh! video games makes its name and English lore official. ChaosGallade (talkcontribs) 08:43, May 2, 2016 (UTC)

Card Quality

Hey I have one question about uploading images, it doesn't say anything in image policy (unless it was buried under something), but can we upload card scans of cards that are somewhat to severely damaged? I'm curious as I might have more cards for European sets, but some have scruff on the corners, I'm asking do the cards have to be mint/pristine or not, and thanks for the table, but still have no clue how to work it, but will figure it out at some point, thank you.--LeafGreen Ranger (talkcontribs) 20:40, May 9, 2016 (UTC)

Well, I've read the policy several times and I don't remember something explicitly on that, to be honest. I think you can upload them independently if they are "mint" or "played". Though if an image is really lackluster please use {{Poor quality}}.
As for the table, you just have to put that on the file description when you're uploading it, instead of using the {{OCG-TCG card image}}. I upload several pics, so I made that to make the work easier. I'll give you an example: For the Safe Zone you uploaded, it would be something like:

{{subst::User:Becasita/SubPages/Templates/CardImage
| name = Safe Zone
| fix =
| post =
| alt =
}}

You just need to fill the name parameter with the card name. You can see what the others parameters do at this page. This will generate and fill the {{OCG-TCG card image}} automatically accordingly with the file name, so be sure the file is correctly named. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 20:51, May 9, 2016 (UTC)

Ok thanks, and I will upload a couple, but when you don't have the scanner right next to you and have to walk every time for a scan, it can be daunting, but I just tried it out and thank you, and it is much faster, wish I didn't have to add name in the table, would be even faster if I just paste it in and publish, but anyways I got more images to do, mainly updating image sizes, anyways have a great day--LeafGreen Ranger (talkcontribs) 21:33, May 9, 2016 (UTC)
Yep, adding the name can be exhaustive, but there is currently no way for the template to guess the card name, since the name is trimmed in the file name. One way would be for the template to read the set card list for the set given, trimming all the names it encounters and try to match one. But, as far as I know, that's impossible for now.
Anyway, one nice shortcut is: if the card only has one word in its name, you don't need to input the name. Though be careful, it works on stuff like "Reinforcements", but doesn't work in cards with non-letters/numbers in their name, like "Attention!".
Hope it helps! Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 21:45, May 9, 2016 (UTC)

RE: Flip monsters

Yes, it's a bit of a big deal for this. I don't believe the CT2 template is capable of handling that, but even if it was, it's not very intuitive placing "Flip" as the first effect parameter. The only thing I can suggest is changing your template to adapt. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 05:47, May 12, 2016 (UTC)

Well, how essential is your template right now? Do you have any practical uses intended for it, or are you going to be using it for personal use? We already have SMW recording the Flip monster property already (I think?), so there's no problem with the status quo. Adding "Flip" as the Type2 parameter might make it a little difficult to remember to record the addition as an errata, when a certain Flip monster eventually gets reprinted with "Flip" in the Type line. This is pretty much the only reason I can think of as an argument for not adding "Flip", as well as the aesthetic purpose of having the Type parameters match the card image presented. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 18:53, May 12, 2016 (UTC)
I can't reply immediately with a well-thought answer, but for the most part, I think this is something you should also ask for Dinoguy's opinion on. Will reply later, assuming the situation isn't resolved before then. (When is then? When I get the time to think it over more seriously.) --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 22:19, May 15, 2016 (UTC)

JPG to PNG

Hi, I was curious, (and I might have UlimateKuriboh answer if you don't know) but, since we are trying to make the transition from jpg to png, shouldn't we make all the galleries have png listed instead of jpg, for example Set Card Galleries:Legend of Blue Eyes White Dragon (TCG-NA-1E) should all be listed as png instead of jpg, despite there is no png image yet, or do we have to leave it as jpg until a png images comes, just curious, thank you--LeafGreen Ranger (talkcontribs) 00:04, May 14, 2016 (UTC)

Hi! Well, the preferable is PNG. I've been downloading the JPG ones incorrectly named, converting them to PNG (using Paint) and uploading them as PNG to the correct name. You're free to do that, I believe.
If you see gallery spaces in JPG that have no image, those should be immediately changed to PNG (this avoids inexperienced users to upload JPG files there, as it has happened before).
So yeah, you're free to change them do PNG. But don't change JPG spaces with images to empty PNG spaces. No, don't do that.
On your particular example, don't change that gallery to PNG, unless you intend to upload all the pictures there as PNG (and change all the instances of them (with the queue, for instance)).
I don't know if I was clear, sorry, English is not my main language and I can get it confusing; Feel free to ask anything. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 00:13, May 14, 2016 (UTC)

RE:European-English releases

That's fine. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 00:30, May 14, 2016 (UTC)

You're making this out to be a bigger problem than it actually is. Just rename everything to be in-line with how the sets are presented in {{Card table set}} and the Card Galleries. And since BPW2 is presented as a North American set while WGRT is presented as a European set... this should not be difficult. As such, this would apply for image and gallery names.
This is eventually something that should be applied for DLG1 vs. RP01 as well, each of which is respectively exclusive to the North American market and the European market. RP02 was a product released in both markets, so nothing to be done there. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 20:48, May 18, 2016 (UTC)

"Gameciel" and "Moon Mirror Shield" tip

Hey whyd you take away my kaiju moon mirror tip! that tip is wicked good, it makes an unstoppable monster basically 15:53, June 2, 2016 (UTC)

I confess I don't understand if you are trolling me or if I'm just failing to understand the tip.
Why would "Moon Mirror Shield" make "Gameciel", in particular, an unstoppable monster? Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 17:08, June 2, 2016 (UTC)
I'm not trolling. It's a combo I use to win games all the time, It can't be destoryed by battle and it can negate like 2-8 cards or effects per turn and banish them. how is that not unstoppable! thats a great tip :/ the comment that say using unshaven angler for 2 tributes is useless, the moon mirror shield is atleast practical...are you trolling me?Devilvert (talkcontribs) 17:35, June 2, 2016 (UTC)
The tip regarding "Unshaven Angler" is praxis-like.
"Moon Mirror Shield" works like that for any monster. It's a generic tip. Sure, "Gameciel" has an interesting effect, but the tip is really generic, I'd say. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 17:50, June 2, 2016 (UTC)
/ Idk if you simpy don't know Gameciel or play kaiju... Gameciel basically becomes 2-8 quasars. it's attack is only 2200 though so normal, pendulum, and inherient summons can kill it... thus moon mirror shield protect it from battle and it can negate any effect or cart. it's unstoppable. Its not a random generic tip :/? Idk why you took my comment down
Devilvert (talkcontribs) 04:05, June 3, 2016 (UTC)
Again, I just thought it was a bit generic, since "Moon Mirror Shield" works good for every monster, basically. I mean, it protects them all. Though I failed to notice the lack of an OPT restriction on "Gameciel", I guess, yeah. My bad on that.
UltimateKuriboh took care of it. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 09:52, June 3, 2016 (UTC)

Thank you :O it's actually really good too because all the other kaiju are higher atk then him, so normally thats a problem special summoning him or playing kaiju slumber. Devilvert (talkcontribs) 12:56, June 3, 2016 (UTC)

RE:Different names for the same card

1) We don't have an official policy for that. However, I imagine that with some of the "Elemental HERO" names, the name column in Set Card Lists will end up getting stretched quite a bit... so you should just embed the redirects like you do for the Set Card Galleries.
2) Dinoguy is actually the person to talk to about that. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 22:30, June 3, 2016 (UTC)

wiki help

hi there, i'm quite new to the wiki and don't understand certain things... firstly i'd like to know how to change signature/tag color, cause mine is red now while your's is blue... or can't that be changed? if so how you got blue name? also how did you make the layout/looks for your talk page like how you have it?

thanks in advance... [X3MIS66] (talkcontribs) 18:55, June 8, 2016 (UTC)

Hello.
That's a hard question. You see, to edit your signature that much you need to use HTML/CSS. You can check info on those matters at http://www.w3schools.com/.
My name is blue because my user page exists. You don't currently have an user page. To create it, just click on your name (User:X3MIS66) and start editing it.
Regarding my talk page, I believe you are talking about the sign and the table, right? Again you need to know some bits of HTML/CSS and Wikilanguage to do some similar stuff. You can find some good info about Wiki markup at Help:Wiki markup. At the end of that page, you'll have a table with more help pages.
I hope this helps. I'm trying to give you a succinct answer. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 19:16, June 8, 2016 (UTC)
sorry to spam full your talk log but i didn't know how to respond to your reaction in the same question/talk thing, so could you please help me out on how to do that too?
as for the html/css stuff i am a programmer already so i know quite the bunch about that, i have some sites running already so yeah...
just tell me how i can use my html/css knowledge to change tag color, and lay-out some of my page's like your talk page please...
as for with the wiki language thing i am not familiar with...
[X3MIS66] (talkcontribs) 20:16, June 8, 2016 (UTC)
Ah, that most certainly helps. Usually CSS is separated from HTML. In the sense you have HTML at one file and CSS at the other. Here you can conjugate both in one.
First, to edit the section you created, just click on the blue "Edit", right next to the section you want to edit.
In particular, regarding your question, you can change the color by using a <span> tag with the CSS (style) property color.
An example: <span style = "color: Red;">Colored text</span>
You can change "Red" with the hexcode for the color (as you probably know). For more info read Help:Signature, please.
For the layout, well just edit the page you want to edit (your talk page or your user page) and use HTML and CSS to do it. Usually, Wiki language is used as well, but the Wikilanguage is basically HTML and CSS covered with an abstraction layer. And since you already are familiarized with HTML and CSS, you just need to use them. You can check the code for my sign here and for my table here. I have them there and then transclude them over here. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 20:36, June 8, 2016 (UTC)

"If this is related to Yugi and characters he dueled". My reasoning was that the user probably thought there was an error in the article, when there actually wasn't. They possibly skimmed the card list or the page summary, or assumed most (or all) of the miscellaneous monsters were supposed to be related to Yugi, when that isn't the case (just being reprints of select cards from booster packs in the DM era). --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 17:35, June 20, 2016 (UTC)

Thanks for letting me know. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 10:33, June 25, 2016 (UTC)

RE:Hand size limit

I have no idea. With these sorts of questions, I find it odd that I haven't seen you in ruling sections in other YGO communities. You have an alternate account? --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 21:21, June 27, 2016 (UTC)

I don't know how "During the End Phase" effects are resolved after the hand size limit; the implication is that you have to resolve any specific EP effects of your choice before conducting your hand size limit discard (if applicable). More specific Trigger Effects like "Lightserpent" and most of the "Burning Abyss" monsters are a different matter though. There's supposed to be only 1 Chain during damage calculation, but that only refers to a "manual Chain"; if a Trigger Effect meets its activation condition during that Chain and doesn't miss the timing, it can start a new Chain before the actual damage calculation occurs, even if it's an optional effect. The same applies to the hand size limit; you're allowed to start a Chain after the discard if an effect was triggered as a result of the discard. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 16:38, June 28, 2016 (UTC)
To the best of my knowledge, there's nothing solid confirming the "During the End Phase" Trigger Effect stuff, but for the "Burning Abyss" Trigger Effect stuff, that's explicitly confirmed by the rulebook. And yes, when you choose to end your turn during the EP, and card effects end up activating from the hand size discard, you have to keep undergoing the hand size check if you wish to end your turn (once the effects have finished resolving). --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 23:12, June 29, 2016 (UTC)
Correct. Also, all the game mechanic pages here inevitably need makeovers, which is what I'm slowly working on. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 14:07, June 30, 2016 (UTC)

Sorry to bother, but you are my favorite person here :P so I thought I'd ask you ^^
The 4 Normal Rares from Shining Victories's OCG version are listed as commons in the TCG versions, and there are no other cards listed as short prints
Should they be listed as short prints then?

I actually don't know, sorry. I would think, after the new rarity spreading, they may have stopped, but BOSH still lists them. So I don't know which one of SHVI or BOSH is the correctly listed.
There are some places/stores listing them as Short Prints, but I can't be sure on this. I'll ask X-Metaman, he is usually more into that stuff, I believe. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 10:09, June 30, 2016 (UTC)

Spacings reply

I guess the only reason why is because most of the time I am trying to make the spacings the same for whatever galleries the vertical lines are in. RE:Several edits

Hello, sorry for the multiple edits of time ago.

I would ask, if it's possibile to create a "Dracoruler" series page. With Bahrstos Fuhrer, the True Dracoruler it seems they will continue coming out, possible a WIND in Raging Tempest.

They also share a lot of patterns as I posted in both cards, for example their ATK/DEF sum it's always 4800 & etc.

Numeron100 (talkcontribs) 08:20, July 9, 2016 (UTC)

Unless I'm missing something, there are only two of those: "Bahrstos Fuhrer, the True Dracoruler" and "True King Agnimazud, the Vanisher". Since two is really few, I don't think a series page should be created for now. Maybe in the future, if relevant. They are similar in several ways (WATER-FIRE counterparts, same Level, similar effects), but I'd say to wait. If you want, you can create a Forum thread to see what other people think as well. Master Collection and Tins

Sorry, but could you elaborate further for me why Master Collection is under Collectible tins? They don't come in metal tins, and their format is almost identical to the first Legendary Collection's format. Shouldn't Master Collection be in the same category as Legendary Collection? MakotoLee (talkcontribs) 18:13, July 9, 2016 (UTC)MakotoLee

That's a very good question. Personally, would like to see them all in the {{Collectible tins}}, since they are somewhat like a box with several stuff (where the promos are not the big part of it) more than something that contains promotional cards just to go with the product. Also, {{Promotional cards}} is really clogged.
Maybe asking an admin on how to manage it would be a good idea. Would you mind doing it? I won't have more time now. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 18:24, July 9, 2016 (UTC) —Last edited at 18:26, July 9, 2016 (UTC).
In my opinion the Collectible Tins category should only refer to actual metal tins, or the category should be renamed, because Special Editions and Deluxe Editions would also end up falling into that category (a box with stuff where the promos are not a big part of it). MakotoLee (talkcontribs) 19:24, July 9, 2016 (UTC)MakotoLee
Special and Deluxe Editions are explicitly referred as Special and Deluxe and they were always treated in a particular way, hence why they are at {{Special Editions}}. The majority {{Promotional cards}} has are sets ending in "promotional card", "distribution card". There are exceptions, though. And I admit these navboxes could use a cleanup here and there. re: magical something effect

I really do feel like we are spreading misinformation at this point. There's no point hindering discussion especially when most people agree on the effect. The rest of the card text is just as uncertain in theory, but in practice someone (igorthundermaster) wrote it up as they read it. We have the disclaimer for a reason

thanks for reading

Ninrai (talkcontribs) 13:22, July 13, 2016 (UTC)

To be honest, I don't like the fact we have a hypothetical lore there. Having the notice at the top isn't an excuse to throw a random lore, in my opinion. Saying a lore is not official, to me, is saying that the lore is like that, but may not be worded ideally. Having a lore we are uncertain of is way more than simply not being official. But I understand your point, nevertheless.
I don't know where the current lore we list came from (btw, it wasn't that user who added the lore. The user who added the lore works with the YGOrg and I don't know if he had access to other sources (who may usually be more accurate)), but for now I'd say we should wait. There's no rush in having an effect there.
If you disagree, feel free to bring it to the user who added it, who also thought it would be a Quick-Play Spell. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 13:38, July 13, 2016 (UTC)

Yugi/Solomon Picture

Hello becasita, it's been far too long. As you may be aware over a month ago now I uploaded pictures of both Solomon and yugi from bbt replacing their old ones. You may also be aware that a user named 'Yugioh19" is constantly reverting them without giving any reasoning. I honestly thought this was sorted but it appears he's started again and I thought it would be best since you had actually contacted him about it to come and tell you. Forgive me if I sound like a child running to their mother because it's not what this message was intending, I simply would like to know what should be done. He is obviously a troll (which shows more apparently by the message he had sent me about this matter) and I feel that's not what this wikia needs. Thank you for reading if you have gotten this far, it is truly appreciated. Stay safe, kind regards (YuGi Mon Cards (talkcontribs) 12:28, July 22, 2016 (UTC))

Portuguese Card Galleries

First I want to congratulate you on achieving adminship, well deserved. Now that you are an administrator I would like to bring up the question about the missing Portuguese Card Galleries link in the Card Gallery -> Sets by Language drop-down menu. Is there anything you can do to add it there? Fensterhoff (talkcontribs) 11:52, July 23, 2016 (UTC)

Thank you, Fensterhoff.
Thanks for the suggestion; I think it makes sense too, given Portuguese cards are being released constantly, just like the others. Done. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 12:01, July 23, 2016 (UTC)
Thanks, it was good while it lasted. Less than an hour ago it disappeared again. Do you know the reason why? Fensterhoff (talkcontribs) 14:01, July 23, 2016 (UTC)
Hum? What do you mean? I'm still having it there. Took a screenshot. And the page is still as I left it. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 14:10, July 23, 2016 (UTC)

Mover requests

Hey Beca, I saw your response to YugiMon Card's request for mover, and just wanted to point out that we generally don't treat mover the same way we treat admin: since admins can both grant and revoke the mover group, our attitude towards granting it is much more lenient. The main thing generally is if the person is likely to have a need for the extra abilities, and if there's nothing worrying in their more recent contributions. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 16:32, July 23, 2016 (UTC)

In that case, if no one has anything not so good to say, I guess I'll grant them the rights. YuGi Mon Cards does deal a lot with images, and it's not a troublesome user (despite a minor misunderstanding or two in the past, that I don't find very relevant for this), I think it might be useful for them. Hey! Since July 18. Thanks!
If you see cards that have an entry similar to the one you added to "Constellar Pleiades" referent to Duelist Set: DX Double Union (except for DS13-JPL42 "Constellar Ptolemy M7" and DS13-JPD42 "Evilswarm Ouroboros"), feel free to remove them. Hi again ^^
Sorry if I'm bothering (seriously, tell me if I am :X )

Can I do something to fix the link?

No problem, SSCooler. Feel free to leave me a message whenever you need.
It should be fine now. Usually, resetting the {{CardTable2}} template on the card page works. If it doesn't, moving the page away (and nothing more) and bringing it back should work. (it can get a bit trickier than that sometimes, though. And there isn't a "formula" on how to solve this.

Heads up/warning/advice/something.

Hi there!

Ever since you're one of the users who contributes to card galleries the most, I felt you'd like to know about the state of one of the few Spanish card sources I (we?) know of. Apparently, its owner is doing a website revamp or something along the lines of it, but, as the message you get once you get to its website states, s/he has yet to migrate its contents. Given how I always fear the worst and I (we) already lost an old card source because I didn't tell anyone in here to help salvage its contents, I decided to leave some words on your talk page.

TL;DR: change the number between 142 and 1678 and you'll get a different image (chances are you'll get a card, but you could get the likes of a booster cover, for example). Don't worry about the rest of the link: as you can see in this example, it'll ignore anything past the number as long as it ends in .jpg. --AzureKesil (talkcontribs) 15:35, August 18, 2016 (UTC)

Scarlight Red Dragon Archfiend

Hi there! :)
Hey, remember when you fixed the broken trivia link on Archfiend Black Skull Dragon's page?
I did the same thing on Scarlight Red Dragon Archfiend's page, and it worked, but now the anime page link is gone ^^"
I have no idea what to do :X
SSCooler (talkcontribs) 12:57, August 26, 2016 (UTC)

Hi SSCooler. Should be there now. You see, pages have information stored as properties. When you moved the page to "Scarlight Red Dragon Archfiend (test)", the info moved along with it, and it didn't move back to the correct name completely (sometimes it takes time). With time, everything will be ok (or it should). But you can force it to be ok by null editing the pages that are pointing to the incorrect page. The anime version was still associated to the "(test)" page; So I just null edited the anime page. To null edit, just click on edit and then publish without making any changes.
You can check what pages are still associated to the incorrect name at Special:Browse/Scarlight Red Dragon Archfiend (test). If you want to remove them from there, just null edit them all. But it's not a big deal. Though the "unappearance" of the anime page at the navbox was a bit of a bigger deal. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 13:10, August 26, 2016 (UTC)
Oh okay, cool haha :)

Replies

I'm not doing unnecessary spacing. I'm just removing extra unnecessary spacing from within galleries and making sure vertical lines in galleries are aligned together code wise.

nonGame is being changed for consistency reasons since starting in arc-v, nonGame is now written as nongame. I'm not doing unnecessary edits at all, Cheesedude had already straightened that out with me. Take it up with him if you think I'm lying.Cardsknower (talkcontribs) 00:33, August 28, 2016 (UTC)

Not doing any of those anymore

That's something I'm not doing anymore as Cheesedude and I had a long talk about this and he told me to stop through a lot of messages so I'm never doing that anymore to avoid any more problems. I told you I'm not doing unnecessary spacing or removal spacing anymore. Cheesedude told me no extra spacing on OCG galleries as they are redundant. I'm sorry but now I feel you are being a bit harassing on my edits. I'm not doing that unnecessary spacing to OCG galleries like I previously did. If you think every edit that does not change a page visually is unnecessary and blockable then that's your opinion but I wish you would stop thinking every edit I do is unnecessary.01:05, August 28, 2016 (UTC)

redundant extra spacings reply

I am only removing redundant extra spacings to galleries as of now (as in no extra spacings in a gallery unless it's to align the vertical lines in one gallery due to long file names). If you think all extra spacings should be untouched, then fine I won't touch those.Cardsknower (talkcontribs) 01:31, August 28, 2016 (UTC)

RE: Duplicate images

Hello there. I don't really have time to check things when I have to upload many files and I don't know when will I end. Let's put it this way: whilst anyone could keep an eye on wiki details, I am the only one who can upload things (so to speak) unless I tell any other users about my sources.

Naturally, one can ask, "why don't you slow down and make sure things are done the right way before uploading more files?". And I'd reply with "One never knows when will those files vanish and I have to check over 100 images". So I felt that tagging .jpg files for deletion could be seen as a way of keeping any potential harm to a minimum. Rather than "go ahead, delete this file right now" I meant something along the lines of "there's a .png around, this file is no longer needed". The semantics of "candidates...", I reckon. If it causes so much trouble I'll try my best to change every link before adding the notice. But I can't promise I will abide by this all the time. It just itches me when there's a .jpg on a gallery (say, a Deck one) but another gallery (such as the card gallery itself) is ready for a .png file, causing some trouble and an hilarious chance at uploading the same .png twice.

By the way, I don't really know how the queue system works. I don't know why I didn't ask about it when I became a mover. So I guess I will now. Care to help me, please?--AzureKesil (talkcontribs) 22:51, August 31, 2016 (UTC)

Thanks for the explanation. I hope I can use it properly from now on. I too suffer when it comes to deal with orphaned files (if only because they're also to blame for the duplicate issue!) coming up from nowhere. I guess I rely on "here's hoping another user will link them to... anything" too much. --AzureKesil (talkcontribs) 02:00, September 1, 2016 (UTC)

SSCooler (talkcontribs) 14:48, September 2, 2016 (UTC)
No, do not accept them. Regardless of their legitimacy, they are being provided by a blocked user who managed to circumvent the block. If you accept them, you are taking their side and accepting their content, which we do not accept.
Besides, if the user interacts with you, please refrain from contacting with them. Contacting with them means, like above, their presence is being accepted, when it shouldn't. I've removed any explicit traces of their presence at your talk page.
I know you are a friendly guy, but these are the rules. If that user wants to contact you, that has to be done off-wiki and I would advise you to not accept their images. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 16:37, September 2, 2016 (UTC)
Hmm okay, I can understand that
May I just ask why do you suggest that I shouldnt accept the images off wiki? Are there viruses on this imgur site?... Because I already downloaded 1 picture to my computer..... :S
SSCooler (talkcontribs) 16:46, September 2, 2016 (UTC)
That counts as "meatpuppeting": conducting edits on behalf of a blocked user, which allows that user to effectively "edit" and get around their block. If they suggest card images to you, ignore them, otherwise you'll be blocked for helping them evade their block. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 17:09, September 2, 2016 (UTC)

I already said that I'm okay with that, believe me I'm the last one who wants trouble here.
But Becasita suggested that I shouldnt accept it even off wiki (like just downloading it to my computer or something), and I don't understand why? Can I get viruses from that imgur site?
Please answer me if you know, I'm kind of freaking out...
SSCooler (talkcontribs) 17:17, September 2, 2016 (UTC)
Accepting images from that user (from anywhere, be it on the Wiki or off the Wiki)) and subsequently uploading them here counts as meatpuppeting. I doubt they have viruses, but the point is clear. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 17:34, September 2, 2016 (UTC)

Why did you close the Doom Virus Dragon page? —This unsigned comment was made by NIC8OLAS (talkcontribs) 20:29, September 2, 2016‎ (UTC)

it was closed because you necroposted a year old page. also sign your posts with ( 4 ~). we don't allow that. if you need to do that, make a new thread and link the old one.
to answer your question before it was removed. DVD only checks the draws over 3 turns, the field and hand check are done when it is first activated, and only then. so anything that is NOT a draw from deck is not checked by DVD over those 3 turns. if Interdimensional matter transporter was used to dodge it, the monster will not die when it comes back.

Duel Terminal Story

It may not have been official Word of Konami Story, but I was piecing it together from the cards available. There is no source if Konami doesn't give a story outline (like they did with master guide 3) and I suspect if they ever did a 'Master Guide 4' then it would be there.

If I did something wrong, aside from not having an official source because there isn't one, fine. But I don't appreciate having hard work erased because of it not being official.Morbuss (talkcontribs) 22:44, September 2, 2016 (UTC)

"Blaze-Eyes Pendulum Dragon" no longer has properties assigned to it.
As for the query matter, I took it the problem was "Ancient Gear Box" being displaying there, right? It no longer is, but I might have break it in another way, I'm not sure; for now, it looks fine. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 20:34, September 26, 2016 (UTC)
thanks you for fixing both, the links to the Blaze-Eyes should disappear soon (but Blaze-Eyes sounds cool). Portuguese name and lore

Hi,
The Portuguese and Korean language aren't present in the Official Database.
How am i supposed to know if the Lore is official or not ?
Thanks.

--Yes42 (talkcontribs) 19:41, October 4, 2016 (UTC)

I was precisely writing you a message regarding this matter. You have been tagging several card articles as having an unofficial Portuguese name/lore when the name/lore was, in fact, official.
Even though they are not present in the official database, we have images of the cards. For instance, for "Ancient Rules", you have File:AncientRules-YSYR-PT-C-1E.png; for "Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Chimera", you have File:AncientGearGadjiltronChimera-SDGR-PT-C-1E.png.
Please do not tag them as being unofficial if you don't know, especially if they have a Portuguese release. The majority of Portuguese names/lores we have for cards that have a Portuguese release are official. If a card has a Portuguese name/lore but doesn't have a Portuguese release, in that case, you can tag them as unofficial.
I'd like to ask you to go through your contributions and remove the erroneous tags you added. So, if you have the patience for it, I'd appreciate.
If we do not have a Portuguese image and you would like to check if the Portuguese lore is correct, you can check Portuguese card images on this site. For Korean lores, I use either this or this, but the lores aren't correct 100% of the time. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 19:49, October 4, 2016 (UTC)

I'll let you know in time (may take a while).
I suppose you're talking about the portals, right? IN the case you provided, the Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL anime characters portal, correct? Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 20:12, October 8, 2016 (UTC)
Yes, I am talking about the Zexal anime characters portal.
I have already done it, I only wait for your agreement to publish it.

Page names

Hi,

I just wanted to tell you that some card pages of this wikia need a name change because of OCG names that got their TCG names or things like this:

Please could you update those page names? ;)

Lino49 (talkcontribs) 21:15, October 8, 2016 (UTC)lino49

Hi there.
Regarding "Starve Venom Fusion Dragon", we are waiting for an actual image of the card, since different official names were assigned to the card.
Regarding the others, since there is no official name for them (at least it's not pointed as a rename reason), the names that we use are the names coming from the YGOrg, so it's up to them to change the cards' names first. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 21:24, October 8, 2016 (UTC)
Ah, the Cardian ones are all from the recent dub episode. I can't remember if the others are correct, but I believe that Maple with Deer is correct. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 00:12, October 9, 2016 (UTC)

Vermillion Dragon Mech

Could you change the protection status of the page so it can be edited again? The official Portuguese blog confirms that the Material requirements are indeed 1 Tuner and 1 non-Tuner.

TheycallmeBrick (talkcontribs) 19:30, October 14, 2016 (UTC)

I'm tempted to leave it protected.
The page confirms as much as the English one, with the exception that it looks more like a "1" on the proxy image. Besides, there's a disparity on the rarity; the English proxy notes it as Secret Rare (with a silver-rainbow color), whereas the Portuguese one notes it as an Ultra Rare.
I'd prefer to avoid assuming stuff for now. We'll see. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 19:50, October 14, 2016 (UTC)

Linked Lores

Sir, surely you must realize at this point that I'm not going to do that?

I remove every existing non-English TCG name/lore on a card's page, then I replace them one at a time, ensuring that every lore is as current as can be. That's how I've done things. When I was persuaded to stop removing unofficial names and lores, I took the additional steps to put them in their correct positions as well, because I considered them necessary (to a degree) at that point.

But I, as a matter of personal opinion, do not consider the in-lore links to be a necessary thing, and so I will not be bothered with whether or not they've been removed.

Now do what you will, but I'm not going to change my stance on this, as I have on other issues in the past.

TheycallmeBrick (talkcontribs) 23:30, October 17, 2016 (UTC)

I understand your talks of navigation, and of hard work, and of using the "show changes" button to check what I've added and removed (which I always use, merci beaucoup). I understand these things, but you are missing the important thing here.
I do not care for them. At all. What I ultimately care about is that the names and lores are current. You wish to add the links again after I've made my edits? Bien, be my guest. It will bother me, but I have never made an edit just to remove them, and I don't plan to start.
Just don't expect me to do this thing. My stance remains unchanged.
TheycallmeBrick (talkcontribs) 00:43, October 18, 2016 (UTC)
What I mean is that I do not make these edits with the intent to remove these links. Sometimes, such as the Kiwi Magician when the Movie Pack was released, I edit many pages in a short frame of time, and I don't thoroughly check to see what the edit did overall.
I don't regret removing them, mind you, but I didn't make that edit for the sole purpose of doing so, as it so appears.
To be honest with you, though, I'm getting tired of arguing about so minor a topic. Nothing you say will persuade me to change my stance on these links, just as nothing I say will persuade you to change yours.
So I implore you, either let us to agree to disagree on this, or else just block me outright. I enjoy making these edits, I genuinely do, but if it means having to continue this go-nowhere argument to do so, then I don't feel it's worth it.

Can't i at least link to images on my profile? :p Chadook (talkcontribs) 15:22, October 18, 2016 (UTC)

Yes, like UltimateKuriboh told you: "linking to images is allowed though". Typically, you can copy, say, an imgur link or something to your user page. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 15:26, October 18, 2016 (UTC)
Ok done, and one other thing, is there a Discord Server for this Wikia? Chadook (talkcontribs) 15:34, October 18, 2016 (UTC)

University Research

Hello!

I am doing a project for university on User Experience and I’m having a look at the yu-gi-oh websites and mobile appearance in particular.

Is it possible at all to get a screenshot of the analytics of the website visitors for the past few months or an Excel spreadsheet? It’d be great to know which pages are most popular over the last year as well as where the majority of your visitors are coming from if that’s possible?

No worries if you don’t have this information. I just thought I’d ask in case you do have it.

I have posted this to both Becasita and Deltaneos as I was not sure who to really post it too as I couldn't find an admin list.

Thank you, Scorchgid (talkcontribs) 21:28, October 23, 2016 (UTC)

Hello there.
I'd be glad to help. Not sure if I'm the best person to ask for that, though. As far as I know, detailed info about statistics is something we don't have access to; only a restrict number of people have access to that and I don't know how those people are selected.
I think this list of special pages might help you a bit (if at all). As a note, you can find a list of admins here.
I've pointed this to other admins, so someone else might give you a better answer. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 22:01, October 23, 2016 (UTC)

How do we rename pages

can you tell me how do we rename pages the dub names of season 3 arc v characters are confirmed

Only movers are able to move pages. I would need some confirmation on that before moving the pages; you should provide sources for those name changes. Just like you should have provided a source for the English voice actors you added on the character's pages. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 10:33, October 26, 2016 (UTC)
here you go
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Yu-Gi-Oh!_Arc-V_characters
i have also read posts in tumblr about this but today when i checked the post about their dub names is not their
https://www.tumblr.com/search/arc+v+dub Saeryukgkj (talkcontribs) 11:33, October 26, 2016 (UTC)
Well, I obviously won't trust that Wikipedia article, because you could have been the one who added the names there too and there aren't any sources presented there.
The tumblr link doesn't give me any info on their dub names.
And, as a note, you can indent your comments by placing colons (:) before your text. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 11:39, October 26, 2016 (UTC)
i wasn't the the one who edited it how come you i think i edited it dont try to underestimate me Saeryukgkj (talkcontribs) 12:00, October 26, 2016 (UTC)
I am not saying you were the one who edited it; I'm saying anyone could have edited it (including you). And since it wasn't a 4Kids authenticated account that made the edit nor any sources were given, I won't blindly trust it.
By the way, the voice actors you added: if you can't find any source for those edits, they might be reverted (if it turns out they were correct, we'll just re-add them). Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 12:40, October 26, 2016 (UTC)

regarding the block

its regarding the block my dear sir should i get three warnings before being blocked should have been 3 days instead of 5 i did not swear or harass him with the f or b word my dear sir you need to learn the rules of the wiki 3 warnings must be given to the user not just block him or her like that have a good day sir (Clayton Carmine 19:46, October 29, 2016 (UTC)) - Comment made by Lol-ionel!

Nope, you're wrong. In all honesty, any admin has the right to block any user, whether there is a reason or not. So, ultimately, if an admin wants to block a random user, they can do it. The admins don't even need to have a reason. The only thing we (and all users) can't do is to violate the Terms of Use.
Even if that wasn't the case, there's no rule saying you have to receive three warnings before being blocked. Besides, you've insulted heavily at least two users, me being one of them. I don't care if you used the "f or b word"; you used the p word (interpret it any way you want), that's bad enough for me. Furthermore, I've asked you too many times to fix your signature. I ask you again. Also, there isn't any block limit rule.
In all honesty, there isn't any language policy, but I don't like when people just start shouting heavy insults, when you could have just started a discussion on the talk page. That is something you should do.
Try to be polite. This is a community; there will be divergences between users' opinions, it's only natural. If you have a different point of view from another user, either try to address the user politely (I reiterate: politely), or start a discussion on the respective talk page of the article. Using the edit summary to heavily insult users when they simply reverted you is something I don't want to see. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 20:01, October 29, 2016 (UTC)

RE:Dark Contract with the Grotesque Entity

Yeah, I don't believe the card appeared in the episode upon looking things over. I usually create card pages quickly as people put information on the episode pages on what cards appeared in the episode, so maybe someone who said the card appeared in the episode was mistaken. You should probably delete the anime page for the card. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 11:54, October 30, 2016 (UTC))

Yeah, go ahead and delete that page. I know someone said the card appeared in the episode and this YGOrganization page said it, so I created the page initially. But I can't keep track of all cards that appeared, so this probably was a mistake. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 11:56, October 30, 2016 (UTC))
Well, I think as the episode airs, the whole bunch of us tend to rush a bit to compile a list of cards used and make new pages for any cards that debuted in the episode, so on occasion, there's some mistakes or inaccuracies. I remember sometimes when I created some card pages with the names misspelled because I was partly rushing to get the page up. Sorry about any inconvenience caused. Portuguese (RE:"Gemini Imps")

That's the correct translation, but ever since PT cards came back into production with "Cosmo Blazar", they've been printed in Brazilian Portuguese. And in Brazil, it's written as "Demônios Gêmeos". It even says as such in the two links you left me.

regarding JR and Emily

it seems Obvious that those two would voice those characters plus they are listed in the Wikipedia and Voice Profile i figure and why not edit their pages (Lionel Head (talkcontribs) 17:44, November 7, 2016 (UTC))

Wikipedia is not an official source. You can see if its content is official by checking for references; if there aren't, it'll be deemed as unconfirmed information, thus counted as unofficial.
Here, we just go with official (therefore confirmed) information. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 17:49, November 7, 2016 (UTC)

How about this idea? I create a sandbox that lists all cards I haven't actually edited but can't do anything that isn't pointless and will just get your attention. NAVIGATION header reply

That edit on Card Gallery:Glare Level 5 along with similar ones in the past was actually derived from Cheesedude editing a card Gallery in the same manner for consistency and since nobody complained, I thought such an edit was okay for this wiki. I am now trying to find images for some anime galleries I'm editing so they are meaningful. I'm not making those pointless edits consistently (one directly after another), which was the biggest problem I had with you and UltimateKuriboh. Limiting how much of such editing I can do was something stated by UltimateKuriboh as a warning. I can limit myself with such editing which was I have been doing for a while as I'm not doing all of it in a row directly together as I previously did if you remember. I have been doing more better and visual changing edits over the last few days/weeks than those bad ones so this should be a good thing. Reply when you can!Cardsknower (talkcontribs) 17:02, November 14, 2016 (UTC)

Moving card pages

Sorry about the late reply, I was busy the last few days. Yeah, sometimes it slips my mind that there are other moves needed in addition to moving the card pages, like moving the image filenames. I might need help on using the queue though, since I've never used it before and tend to manually change all image filenames by hand. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 03:00, November 15, 2016 (UTC))

Coin toss

Well, I copied the capitalization for Coin Toss and Die Roll since it was already that way, so I think someone messed up when creating those particular pages. If feel it should be changed, sure, I have no objections. There's also Prevents Battle Position changes, which apparently has capitalization issues as well. As for if the pages I just made should be sorted under the "action" parameter, I haven't thought about it, since I initially thought about stat change, but realized that one might be inappropriate. If you think it fits better under "action", once again, I have no objections. I'll look over the stuff you put on my talk page regarding moving card pages soon. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 13:36, November 15, 2016 (UTC))

"roid" vs. "Roid"

i know that its lowercase on all cards, but the Semantic where not working this way. Because in the property its listed as "roid" while the pages and the bars where searching for "Roid". Changing it to Roid in the cards while maybe displaying it for the user as roid would be the easier way to fix that. --hanmac (talkcontribs) 16:34, November 20, 2016 (UTC)

Necroid Synchro before i changed it did show it wrong (nothing), then i got to Roid which doesn't show me anything which got me thinking there might be something wrong with it. Now it only does show the cards i added. i will try to find a way to get it working right with lowercase if that would make you happy. --hanmac (talkcontribs) 16:52, November 20, 2016 (UTC)
no other way around, on the card pages they don't show anything in the "roid" nav box. for an extreme example checkout {{Roid}}, for me every nav bar has entries except for the first one. and yes i did refresh the page. sphinx does show me an empty nav box too. also roid and sphinx does not show a link to List of "sphinx" support cards and List of "roid" support cards. probably a very deeper bug in {{Archseries navbox}} and {{Infobox archseries}} that prevent them to work with pages with lowercase --hanmac (talkcontribs) 17:09, November 20, 2016 (UTC)
for Speedroid: see this Special:Browse/List-20of-20"Speedroid"-20cards it shows that List of "Speedroid" cards does not have the right attributes while the page itself does show them. --hanmac (talkcontribs) 17:35, November 20, 2016 (UTC)

Yes, I am the one who edited Star Eater's webpage. Just to clarify, I was NOT trying to troll anyone. I was only trying to give solid advice on how it could be used in a Dragon Ruler deck. And I apologize for any inconveniences I have caused. I was only trying to help.--RedEyesBurn69 (talkcontribs) 21:04, December 5, 2016 (UTC)

Fair enough. I have to confess I didn't notice your tip was placed under the "Traditional" header; my bad. In any case, please don't write tips that contain value judgments like "being one of the most powerful Synchro monsters in existence" and don't try to simulate too much emphasis, like "FOUR". Please keep it impersonal and feasible. Personally, I like complicated wombo combos, but your tip just relied on too much situational set-up; it was too far-fetched. Korean ScR in old booster pack

Several years since yugioh started in Korea in 2003, ScR cards in Korean have a diagonal pattern.(like TCG) However, this policy was changed in June 2011(Not sure...?). ScR cards in PP06-KR are prismatic pattern, and almost ScR cards have been released in Korea after that are prismatic pattern.(Except EP15-KR). it is already five years past, but related to this, I want to talk with you.
from this fact, the problem is that this changed policy also applies to the old booster pack.(which was first released before June 2011) See these 2 images. A B same pack, same rarity, but shapes are different. If my guess is correct, this could be said because A was probably produced before the change, and B was produced after the change. and... I found evidence to support my guess. :[1](Judgment of Anubis, Prior to change.) [2] (Yata-Garasu, before & After.) on several Korean websites, including this blog, I was able to find korean PScR cards image despite these cards from the old pack.
Therefore, I think that the PScR card image from old Korean pack, which has been uploaded to this wikia, should be renamed.(like blabla~KR-ScR-UE-Reprint.png or blabla~KR-PScR-UE.png?)(for that reason, it seems to exist only on the UE card.)
However, I do not think I can upload such cards. I have not been in this game for two years, so I do not have old cards and I won't buy those packs unless I have a special reason.Ygco8888 (talkcontribs) 15:26, December 9, 2016 (UTC)
On my search for Korean images, I've come across a couple of cases like that; it seemed suspicious, but I never gave it enough importance. Is that fact mentioned here, regarding the ESP2 images? I thought it was just some kind of misprint.
This is great information. Thanks! Instead of using -Reprint, ones will be uploaded as -ScR whereas the others will be uploaded as -PScR, mostlikely (however, if all Secret Rare cards in Korean started to be like that, we may not make a distinction between ScR ones and PScR, since all PScR ones are now ScR (except for EP15)). Let me bring this to the other admins, so we can try to see what's the best approach to take and where to display which cards, etc..
Thank you very much for letting me know! Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 15:45, December 9, 2016 (UTC)
Ygco8888, I've granted you mover rights. We are going to name the images with -PScR (instead of Reprint). Having mover rights, gives you the possibility to help us putting everything into place, if you'd like to help. Please read this before you start moving files. If you have any question (even a minimum doubt), please don't hesitate in contacting me or any other admin.
In cases like the one with "Judgment of Anubis", do not use the Rename and update/Add to queue options; just simply rename it and then add the renamed image to the correct set gallery (under a "Prismatic Secret Rares" sub-header) and to the individual card gallery (this would be optimal; I ask you to please add it to at least one of those places). I've renamed the "Judgment of Anubis" one (again: without the Rename and update/Add to queue options) and added it to the correct place (on the set gallery; on the card gallery).
For cases where the card doesn't have a regular Secret Rare print and only has the Prismatic Secret Rare print (like this "Book of Moon"), the Rename and update/Add to queue can and should be used (unless you want to update the links manually, while correcting the text for the rarity).
Of course, I'm saying all this, but you don't have to help. In any case, if you feel like helping, you have all the necessary tools. Again, any question you may have, feel free to throw it at me. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 21:10, December 12, 2016 (UTC)
Oh, thank you for your(and other admin's) decision. As I mentioned above, what I can do with this work is so limited, but I will do what I can.
However, there is another question in your example. I would like to use PP06-KR as a reference point, as mentioned above. but PGD-KRPR cards are released after that, therefore, I don't think that image is the object to be renamed. Ygco8888 (talkcontribs) 14:16, December 13, 2016 (UTC)
You're welcome!
Well, you said they started being printed as PScR after June 2011. That "Book of Moon" was printed after that date. Besides, if you look at the pattern, it's vertical/horizontal (instead of oblique). Since those are the characteristics of a Prismatic Secret Rare card, we will be treating them as such. Which means Korean cards stopped being printed as Secret Rares and started being printed as Prismatic Secret Rares. However, it's possible they are still addressed as "Secret Rares" by official Korean commercials and such. If it's not asking too much, would you be able to check such info, please? Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 14:28, December 13, 2016 (UTC)
In 2015, there was a renewal on the official website of Korea. and the record of that time also disappeared. but, I heard that users who played at that time did not receive any notice. and there was no difference between the phrases written on box or pack before PP06 and after. Is that a problem with this? I knew that there were cards of different shapes in the same pack, therefore, I suggested to you to distinguished from other images.Ygco8888 (talkcontribs) 15:15, December 13, 2016 (UTC)
The thing is, since the cards now present a pattern like the Prismatic Secret Rare cards do, we thought it would make more sense to present them as PScR. Hence why I moved that "Book of Moon", even though it never had a regular Secret Rare release. However, if they are still being addressed as "Secret Rares" by official sources (like what's written on the packs), we may have a problem here, since that's still official information. I even changed it on the card page.
What is your opinion? Would you think it makes more sense to tag, for instance, that "Book of Moon" (and cards like File:AmazonessChainMaster-MFC-KR-PScR-UE.png), considering they never had a regular Secret Rare print, as -ScR or -PScR? Different Way

I saw your temp for "Nirvana High Paladin", and I will admit I like where you're going with this. However, I would suggest you find a way to make the text for its statuses easier to read. I didn't change anything; but if you include ocg = Semi-Limited in the coding and then did a preview, you'll see what I mean. Hope this helps! --Yes, it's PSYCHID! He talks! He does stuff! 23:35, December 9, 2016 (UTC)

I don't know if this is too much to ask; but if you'd let me, would you let me use that kind of code you just made for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Card Maker Wiki? If so, I might ask you to do it for me, since I don't think I'd be able to do what you did (because chances are, I'd have the "statuses" removed, since chances are they won't be real cards anytime soon. Then again, this might change and I'd let you know). I'll still be sure to properly credit you, though! --Yes, it's PSYCHID! He talks! He does stuff! 03:33, December 10, 2016 (UTC)
Hope I don't sound rude, but I have a feeling I'll have to wait on this one. And like I said, if you've perfected it, I may ask you to do it instead of me, because looking at its coding, there's still plenty of coding even I wouldn't expect to comprehend. --Yes, it's PSYCHID! He talks! He does stuff! 13:46, December 10, 2016 (UTC)
That's fine; take as much time as you need. I'm in no hurry, really. --Yes, it's PSYCHID! He talks! He does stuff! 02:33, December 11, 2016 (UTC)
Just looked back at it, and I think you might be on to something this time! All you need to do is find a way to remove those "missing hyperlink" things (the stuff with the red text), and you might be home free. --Yes, it's PSYCHID! He talks! He does stuff! 01:28, December 31, 2016 (UTC)
Yeah, I was referring to the red hyperlinks where the categories are. Sorry for the confusion on that part. Still, do you think you are ready to ask the admins if they could post real-life cards in that format? --Yes, it's PSYCHID! He talks! He does stuff! 03:50, December 31, 2016 (UTC)

Korean Anime galleries reply

I thought the Korean airdates were about the same as Japan and that there is a Korean dub of the series, which is why I added the Korean anime galleries to their respective card galleries. There was no complaints previously. The Korean airdates are probably different from the Japanese airdates, so I will probably halt on this for a bit. I wasn't doing anything wrong but I will probably wait on this for a bit since I should wait until the official episodes are declared as aired in Korea (no telling how I will know that since I only know Japan and USA's airdates.Cardsknower (talkcontribs) 00:05, December 14, 2016 (UTC)

Set order reply

I already know beginner's Edition 2 and the first two structure decks were released on the same day, but I thought there should be a consistency with beginner's Edition 2 being placed before the first two structure decks. Another Gallery that could relate to this issue would be "Magic Jammer".Cardsknower (talkcontribs) 03:05, December 15, 2016 (UTC)

"Tuning Magician" tip

How about this for tuning magician. If you use it to weaken number 35 ravenous tarantula then number 35's effect will deal you another 600 points of damage and lower its attack points by 1400 in total. Fair enough? Seraph&Cherub (talkcontribs) 00:36, December 17, 2016 (UTC)

I don't think it's necessary. You're damaging yourself to lower the ATK/DEF of a monster (more: a specific one only)? No, it's too unnecessary. Sure, "Tuning Magician" lowers its ATK/DEF, but there are better cards to lower its ATK/DEF stat and there's no need to mention them all. People won't play "Tuning Magician" to drop the ATK/DEF of "Number 35".
Saying the effect of "Number 35" will even deal 600 more damage thus decreasing its own stats, means:
  • "Tuning Magician" has to be Special Summoned, which will only happen in a "Magician" deck (where they don't care if they are using "Tuning Magician" to manipulate the stats of "Number 35" or not), or in decks that, for some reason, run it and also run reviving cards they can afford to waste on "Tuning Magician";
  • The player controlling "Number 35" will have to have less LP than the opponent, which may not always happen.
In fact, that suggestion of yours only works if the player controlling "Number 35" has less LP than the one controlling "Tuning Magician".
It's really too situational. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 00:56, December 17, 2016 (UTC)
How about my last two edits with Prime Material Dragon, Nurse, and Bad Reaction. Do they work? —This unsigned comment was made by Seraph&Cherub (talkcontribs) 04:18, December 17, 2016 (UTC)
How about my last edit to tuning magician. Does that work for you?
Seraph&Cherub (talkcontribs) 12:45, December 17, 2016 (UTC)
They work, yeah. Personally, I don't mind those. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 13:11, December 17, 2016 (UTC)

Moves

Yes, well, sorry about that. I had no clue what that template was being used for, since I rarely ever edit anime episode duel summaries. I was under the impression that the Pendulum Scale image on those duel summaries was an image file rather than an actual template (especially since card article pages weren't affected in the manner you described). I thought the template I moved was some dummy file from ages ago as a result. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 02:32, December 17, 2016 (UTC))

Yeah, I was aware the card articles used the actual image. I had the impression that the anime episode articles did as well for their duel summaries, rather than encapsulating the image in a template. I know about What Links Here and have been aware of it since I joined the wiki, I just didn't check it, given that an image like those Pendulum Scales must probably be on hundreds of pages, which won't really help all that much. ZEXAL Portals

Hello, Like for the other series, I made a portal for ZEXAL, and created the pages to go with it. Now i don't really see the aim of portals if there is not a direct link in the "top bar" just like the Characters section.

Also, am i allowed to create sub-portals for things like Number, Groups, Tournaments, Abilities... that goes with the ZEXAL Universe ?

Last but not least: should i put the

{{main|Portal:Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL}} and {{Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL}}

on all the sub-portals ?

Hopefully i am clear, thanks.--Yes42 (talkcontribs) 12:40, December 17, 2016 (UTC)

Hi there. I like your idea; makes sense, in my opinion. Now, it requires the header to be re-organized. Or links to them could be placed on the main page too, perhaps. Let me talk with the other admins to see how we can arrange that.
Huum, I don't know; we already have pages for the "Number", for instance; so I'm not sure if we would gain enough with having those portals too. For tournaments and abilities, might be useful.
Yes, linking to the main Portal makes sense. The navbox gives access to stuff, so it's fine by me.
I'll talk with other admins and you'll get better answers. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 13:11, December 17, 2016 (UTC)

Hello

Hello Becasista. I'm ThoththeAtlantean at your service. It's pleasure to talk and meet you but you know what I mean. I do a good job on the pages of the Wikias to make them alot more sense and clear. Even when it comes to information and photos I'll help with that too.

New images

heeeeeeey i need your help, how do i get to see all the new images in the wiki??

--DTHIRD (talkcontribs) 13:20, December 24, 2016 (UTC)

Hello. You can check the recently uploaded images at Special:Images. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 13:23, December 24, 2016 (UTC)

Talk page

Is the talk page here because I don't know? That's why I just left the message at the page.Magusjosh (talkcontribs) 02:22, December 26, 2016 (UTC)

This is my talk page. If you want to contact a user, you usually leave a message on their talk page. Just like users, the other pages have talk pages (talk pages do not have talk pages). So if you want to point something about a page, you can leave a message on that page's talk page and hope people see it. For "Phantom Knights", the talk page is Talk:Phantom Knights. Next to the "Edit" button, there's a button saying "Page Help". That button leads you to the talk page. You can read more info at Help:Talk pages. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 03:30, December 26, 2016 (UTC)

Thanks.

Thanks, I was about to ask the editor who deleted my whole addition to at least leave the box contents part. I knew the Ratios addition would surely get deleted so I was only testing it for possible future additions, and now I know better not to add it. But I will keep adding the Box information for future boxes I open. Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 16:53, December 27, 2016 (UTC)

Yes, I don't mind the packs-per-box info; some sets also list it. The other info you added is subjective, hence why it shouldn't be listed.
Thanks for the info; if I can help you with anything, feel free to leave me a message. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 17:10, December 27, 2016 (UTC)

Kotori Mizuki

Can you finish adding the Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL Volume 9 piece in the Kotori Mizuki (manga) article because I still don't have the manga please and thank you.

I've got the manga out from the library at current, so I can sort that out. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 22:12, December 27, 2016 (UTC)

Property categories

Well, I don't know what the actual demand for such a category is, to be honest, but I would find it helpful myself. But then again, I could be outside the norm, since I make a lot of card searches that possibly many other people do not. But like I said, I don't think the majority of "lingering cards" (the classifications of cards defined in the category) have this trait in the first place (and looking through the card database would demonstrate that), so I don't think it's overly general, per se. But as I said, if really there's no big need for this category and you think it might cause issues down the road, then I won't oppose its removal. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 00:39, December 30, 2016 (UTC))

To amend my comment, I think it's only general if you look at it in the context of Spells and Traps as a whole (since almost all Normal Spells and Traps have effects that activate when the card is activated, and that's by design). But if you look at it from the context of the classifications of cards listed in the category's description, I don't think it's as general as you've mentioned, and a look through the card database would show it. Not trying to offend you or anything, just clarifying what I'm trying to say. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 00:47, December 30, 2016 (UTC))
Well, take a look at my latest comment on UltimateKuriboh's talk page. I've make categories that I don't think many people might search for, such as Overwrites card effects and Places cards underneath itself, but I elaborate more on that in my comment to him. I understand what you mean by deck building. To clarify, when I say I would find it helpful, it's because I make long lists of cards myself with traits other people might find quirky for personal reasons such as writing duels for fanfiction and also, deck building (at the very least, that's my perspective). Maybe I'm weird that way then and you can consider me the resident eccentric on the wiki. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 00:52, December 30, 2016 (UTC))
Regarding Places cards underneath itself, I think it's one of the more quirky categories, but I would keep it partly because there are a number of anime and manga cards with that characteristic, and there's clear demarcation regarding what the category is supposed to encompass. I know of some acquaintances who use some of these categories to search obscure anime/manga cards for use in fanfiction, but whether or not that is a justifiable reason to keep such categories is debatable. I know there are some admins who have placed card pages in some of the more unusual categories I have made, which I've sort of interpreted as implicit approval on their parts for the existence of the categories (or at the very least, they believe that the categories have a place on the wiki). I think that if there is a bunch of cards that share a characteristic that is pertinent to gameplay or stats (Level, ATK, DEF, number of required Materials), then it deserves a category. A card having exactly two effects is not a trait that is pertinent to gameplay (unless sometime in the future, we get cards with effects that care about how many effects other cards possess), and in my opinion, does not deserve a category. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 03:24, December 30, 2016 (UTC))

Lancers

I'm getting nothing from that other guy on the talk page. And for the record, you didn't have to lock it so soon. --Luckytrade (talkcontribs) 02:44, December 31, 2016 (UTC)

Just give some time to the other user. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 02:49, December 31, 2016 (UTC)
Any chance you could unlock the Lancers page? I won't try to revert it to what I had, not that I was going to anyway, until it's settled. --Luckytrade (talkcontribs) 23:42, January 2, 2017 (UTC)
