SPYRAL GEAR Solid

At one point, in addition to borrowing elements from James Bond, the "SPYRAL" page said it borrowed elements from the Metal Gear franchise, but now it doesn't anymore. I know you're not an admin, so you probably wouldn't know; but is there a chance there could still be Metal Gear references in select cards? Like, "SPYRAL Master Plan" could be modeled after "The Boss", and "SPYRAL GEAR - Big Red" might be modeled after one of the cars from Metal Gear. I'd provide proper links, but I'm kinda tired (and a bit lazy) from today. --Yes, it's PSYCHID! He talks! He does stuff! 01:15, January 1, 2017 (UTC)

Reply to proxy edition (RE:Card galleries)

I will remember to change the proxy images when I add the proxy edition information next time, but I will need to make sure I know if the proxy is 1st and unlimited. For those pages I previously did in the spring and summer that were useless, I want to make at least one notable edit for those pages before they are fully completed. If you mean better by add ALL missing galleries/images to galleries and changing ALL jpg images to png, I can't do that as that's already too much for me to do as I can only do big on featured duels and card Appearances and I can't be too sure if some of the galleries we have are existing. the edit count is not something I am actually trying to bump up. I usually try to stop at 25, 50, 75, or at the 0 marker since i get tired from editing and I want to stop somewhere until a later day.Cardsknower (talkcontribs) 17:41, January 1, 2017 (UTC)

ZEXAL music

Hello. Since a few days, I begin to fill the Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL Sound Duel 5 page; for example with Alito's Theme Here is how I proceed: I take the musics from this playlist, I download and convert it in the OGG format; and eventually publish it on this wiki. However, I have no authorization from the Author to publish it. The purpose of those files is naturally the teaching, and to complete the Yu-Gi-Oh Wikia. Am I in my rights? Do I have to replace the full lenght of those files to 30s extracts? I hope that you can help me. --Yes42 (talkcontribs) 17:44, January 6, 2017 (UTC)

Hi there. Moved this to a new section since it's about another matter, hope you don't mind.
I see you've been using Fair use audio and Fair use rationale. That should be enough; It falls under fair use. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 17:52, January 6, 2017 (UTC)
Well, to be honest, it's a bit more complicated than that. Don't worry too much for now; I'll investigate and get back to you. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 18:06, January 6, 2017 (UTC)

Here's what I've found:
From Non-free content:
"Music clips may be used to identify an iconic piece[...] Samples should generally not be longer than 30 seconds or 10% of the length of the original song."

From Fair use :
The factors to be considered shall include:

  • the purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of a commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes; (Non-profit in our case)
    *the nature of the copyrighted work;
*the amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole; and (We shall use 10%)
*the effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work. (It impacts a lot to give full lenght; we can actually buy it].)

From what i've understood, the 'Fair use' is under US law, and I don't live in US. I depend on the jurisdiction of the country where I live, and I'm from France.
From the official website, the L. 122-5 article precise (this is a litteral translation, please read only the bold text):
THE EXCEPTIONS
The law authorizes the use of the disclosed work, without authorization of the author, in the following cases:
[...]

  • 2) Reproductions strictly reserved for the private use of the copyist and not intended for collective use
This exception is of limited application. In practice, it covers only the copy made for the personal needs of the person performing it and does not extend the collective use of the copy (for example within a company).

It does not apply to copies of works of art intended to be used for purposes identical to those for which the original work was created, or to software where only a backup copy is permitted Electronic databases.

  • (3) Provided that the name of the author and the source are clearly indicated:
    -the analyzes and short quotations justified by the critical, polemical, pedagogical, scientific or information nature of the work to which they are incorporated;
    - the reproduction and representation of extracts from works for purposes exclusively illustrative in the context of teaching and research, intended for the general public Composed of pupils, students, teachers or researchers directly concerned, without any commercial exploitation, and compensated by a negotiated remuneration. This exception, does not apply to works made for pedagogical purposes,' 'music scores and works produced for a digital edition of the work.

[...]

  • (8) The exception for libraries, museums and archives
The reproduction and representation, for the purpose of preserving or preserving the conditions of on-site consultation, by publicly accessible libraries, museums and archives, provided that they do not derive any economic or commercial advantage from them

---
Sorry for the litteral translation. I hope you'll find more infos. From what i've understood, the soundtrack in under rights. It's ok if we use a portion of the song (10%), in the aim of information/archive, but no more because we can buy the soundtrack. --Yes42 (talkcontribs) 19:33, January 6, 2017 (UTC)

Yeah, it seems that for audio files is a bit different than for other stuff. So I was wrong. I really should invest some time onto these matters.
Thank you very much for your effort! No need to apologize for your translation.
In any case, I've contacted Fandom about this too. Let's keep the audio files upload in standby for now. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 20:05, January 6, 2017 (UTC)
Thanks a lot for all. I was a bit worried about this. Please keep me informed when you have more infos.--Yes42 (talkcontribs) 20:20, January 6, 2017 (UTC)
Nothing to thank for! I'm the one who thanks you for alerting me about this.
Don't worry, I'll keep you informed. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 20:22, January 6, 2017 (UTC)
Script error: No such module "outdent".
So, as you pointed, "Samples should generally not be longer than 30 seconds or 10% of the length of the original song". So they should be replaced. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 23:33, January 7, 2017 (UTC)
Thanks. I'll do it for ZEXAL Sound Duel 5 in a first time. However, we need to check/replace the whole files for each series. What about to put this task in Current events?--Yes42 (talkcontribs) 11:49, January 8, 2017 (UTC)
Done! Thanks for your hard work! Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 15:48, January 8, 2017 (UTC)

Glitch

Pinch Hopper doesn't seem recognize its anime page and vice versa. Chimera-gui (talkcontribs) 16:27, January 14, 2017 (UTC)

Thanks for pointing it out. Should be fine now. We've been having some SMW problems. In cases like this, just null editing the page should solve the problem (to null edit, just click on "Edit" and then "Publish" without making any changes). Much better, you're welcome and thank you. Chimera-gui (talkcontribs) 17:56, January 14, 2017 (UTC)

Videogame image question

I created an image from Youtube that was part of the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's World Championship 2010: Reverse of Arcadia videogame as shown here. I was able to find "Tempest Magician" from the backside during this video. Is it okay if I upload since it is from the above-mentioned videogame?Cardsknower (talkcontribs) 17:48, January 19, 2017 (UTC)

Added Image of Tempest Magician

There I uploaded it, but that was the best I could do, but it's still something and it's the only something like this I will ever upload for here. There was also an image like this from the Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL World Duel Carnival video game made by User:WinterNightmare, but no other images from that game uploaded (not planning to create galleries or upload images related to that video game right now). I wish could do more with some card galleries, but I can't (spacing is not allowed on this wiki consistent or not and even if it was only one edit like that per day).Cardsknower (talkcontribs) 19:17, January 19, 2017 (UTC)

Card Gallery reply

If you want me to find and upload missing images for card galleries, then I'm not the right person (and it's way too much for me if you want me to find them). I can only add missing galleries/images (but don't ask me to add all missing galleries to a page as that's already asking for too much), replace jpg images, and add Japanese anime images.

And I really meant Card Gallery pages to be clear as there are many I haven't edited yet and have been marked on a different page. Obviously I will just incur your wrath (and probably UltimateKuriboh and Cheesdude) if I do any spacing edits even if they were consistent and I only did one a day.Cardsknower (talkcontribs) 02:02, January 20, 2017 (UTC)

Second reply

I have just added other missing galleries to some card gallery pages (specifically cards released for Raging Battle). The reason why right now I try to add some galleries without adding to others is because my laptop crashes at unexpected moments and I lose all data I just inserted in should that happen. A desktop I also use sometimes may become unresponsive if I have too many things going on it, forcing me to close it down and reopen the Internet (which also eliminates all data I try to insert in). After reading your latest message to me about spacing edits, I have something in mind (I have nothing against your answer and I don't care about edit count at all). If you want, you can contact me about it through e-mail.Cardsknower (talkcontribs) 03:11, January 20, 2017 (UTC)

It has something related to at least two suggestions you have given to me about it last year.Cardsknower (talkcontribs) 03:22, January 20, 2017 (UTC)

DBLE & MB01

Hi.

I was wondering if the Korean "Dimension Set" http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Dimension_Set should be included as followup to the Korean "Millennium deck" http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Millennium_Deck Because these two are the Korean versions -although a bit simpler- from the Japanese Millennium and Dimensional Boxes, and those two do have a "next/previous in the set" link under the Release Dates.

I think it is clear it should be added; but since I don't know how to add those links if you also agree, then please add them.

Thanks.

Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 14:54, January 20, 2017 (UTC)

Hello there.
I can see the point in pointing the prev/next on the Japanese sets; similar design, with those first cards having an -S index and even in terms of the box art. They also feature similar contents.
As for the Korean products, although they are counterparts to the Japanese ones, they aren't similar between themselves. One works as a Structure Deck (somehow) and the other seems to be more of a promotional product. The Millennium Deck doesn't even feature card sleeves or something besides the cards, unlike the Dimension Set. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 15:05, January 20, 2017 (UTC)

Supreme King's Wrath's related pages glitch

Hi again :)
How is it going?
There is a problem with Supreme King's Wrath's gallery and trivia pages, where it says the main card page should be renamed to the same name. I trired null editing and temporarily moving the main page and one of the related pages, but it didn't do anything
Do you know how to fix this? :O
SSCooler (talkcontribs) 21:06, January 31, 2017 (UTC)

Hey there, SSCooler. All good, thanks; and you?
Apparently, the ' is not being stored as such within the Page name property. So when Navigation tries to compare if the name the trivia/gallery page belongs to and the main page name are equal, it doesn't get them as being the same. Now, I'm trying to figure out why it's working like that, because it shouldn't. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 21:10, January 31, 2017 (UTC)
Ok, it's solved. The property wasn't storing the page name normalized. Which means, for instance, ' was being stored as ' (if you check the code, it's '). The display is the same, but the actual code is different.
This was happening with all anime/manga exclusive cards that contained apostrophes. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 21:18, January 31, 2017 (UTC)
Oh hey haha I didn't get a notification that you replied :S
I'm fine, thanks! :)
Wow haha I would have never figure that out XD
Thanks for the help then! :D
SSCooler (talkcontribs) 21:41, February 1, 2017 (UTC)
Yeah, it was a deeper problem.
Glad I could help! Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 22:08, February 1, 2017 (UTC)

RE:"Mirror Force" image

OgiProsKill (talkcontribs) 18:24, February 2, 2017 (UTC) Some of pictures I've added recently were removed. Was that because of licences or some other reason?

Becabot inputting Duel Link galleries question and request

I would question how did your Becabot know which card gallery pages need Duel Link galleries before those images were uploaded since I find it extremely unlikely that you were able to predict all that coming in before the images were uploaded. I can take care of inputting the Duel Link galleries in their respective pages.Cardsknower (talkcontribs) 19:41, February 3, 2017 (UTC)

My Card Uploads

Hello again. Sorry for any incident involving uploading card images. I'm still very new to it, and sometimes I forget little details. --Danielblack (talkcontribs) 20:24, February 4, 2017 (UTC)

RE:Replaces detachment of Xyz Materials from an Xyz Monster to activate its effects

Alright, do you have a proposal for a better name? The category is for stuff like Number 19: Freezadon, Xyz Override, Rising Sun Slash, and Xyz Unit. Basically, anything that lets you do something else to activate the effect of an Xyz Monster that entails detaching its own Xyz Materials, including detaching other cards as a substitute, in the case of all the examples I gave except Xyz Override. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 20:56, February 7, 2017 (UTC))

Yeah, I guess the name is rather long and clunky. All I can think of now is "Replaces Xyz Material detachment to activate an Xyz Monster's effect" though I'm not sure how well it conveys the intent of the category. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 21:05, February 7, 2017 (UTC))
"Replaces detaching Xyz Materials" seems fine, though I would like the title to in some way highlight that the action is specifically replacing the detachment of Xyz Materials to activate that Xyz Monster's effect. Otherwise it seems vague. I dunno what the chances are we'll get a card that lets you substitute Xyz Material detachment for purposes other than to activate the monster's effect though. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 21:24, February 7, 2017 (UTC))

Help with links

Hi, this is ThoththeAtlantean. I need to link pages to others by using a word in a page.

How will I be able to do it in this wiki?

ThoththeAtlantean (talkcontribs) 22:28, February 8, 2017 (UTC)ThoththeAtlanteanThoththeAtlantean (talkcontribs) 22:28, February 8, 2017 (UTC)

Hello there.
To start, if you want to manage the code of the page a bit more explicitly, you can go to your preferences and change the editor to "Source editor". Then, when editing, you can link to a page by placing the page name under square brackets. For instance, to link to "Tragoedia", it would be Tragoedia. To link to a page but displaying a different text on the link, just place a pipe and the text to display after. For instance, to link to this card, it would be this card.
If this is not the answer you were looking for, please try to be a bit more specific and give an example or something. More info on wikipedia:Help:Link.
Also, to sign your name, just type four tildes, nothing more (e.g., ~~~~). Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 23:06, February 8, 2017 (UTC)

"Element Dragon" question

Hi, first thanks for this wiki, it's really usefull.

I would like to ask you about Element Dragon

«WIND : If this card destroyed your opponent's monster by battle, it can attack once again in a row.»

Is this effect can be used more than once in one turn (of course if there still have a Wind card on the field) ?

Blaktal (talkcontribs) 10:49, February 16, 2017 (UTC)

Hey there. Nothing to thank for.
Well, as long as there is a WIND monster on the field, its effect will trigger, if it destroys an opponent's monster by battle. However, it can only attack twice. Old wording isn't clear on this. Also, if you check the Japanese text, it says you can do it only once more. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 14:00, February 16, 2017 (UTC)

Search categories wording

Yeah, that's my fault, I'm just too used to doing something in a particular manner after doing it for so long, so it's a pretty hard habit to break, lol. I think I fixed your section wording issue on the 1 Link Material category. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 19:58, February 17, 2017 (UTC))

About the general tip

I was mostly just wanting to spread word about how these old "seemingly useless" cards are going to suddenly either become useful thanks to the new mechanics, OR have a bunch of new cards printed that do the same things as them.Manyfaceblake (talkcontribs) 00:01, February 18, 2017 (UTC)

I understand your point. However, in all honesty, nothing ensures these "seemingly useless" cards are going to suddenly become useful. They could already bounce powerful cards. They won't do more than they can already do. In addition to be able to bounce any type of card that existed so far, now, in addition, they can also bounce Link Monsters. Nothing worth pointing out. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 00:08, February 18, 2017 (UTC)
The reason this seems significant to me, is because of how Link Monsters and Link Zones work. The effects of these old cards will now have a bigger impact than they did before the new rules and mechanics came in. You use their effects to pop out the opponent's Link Monsters, you break their link, and they lose Link Zones. Manyfaceblake (talkcontribs) 00:52, February 18, 2017 (UTC)
I just think it's not a big thing, because bouncing an Xyz, Synchro or Ritual Monster, for instance, would already be a big loss of resources (generally). I don't think, in this case, it's such a huge thing to the point of noting what the effect already tells you; it bounces, it's good overall. Sure, Link Monsters need to be in a specific place an interact with the other zones, that's fair enough.
In any case, you can start a discussion on the tips' page talk page and see if you can gather other opinions. Please feel free. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 01:51, February 18, 2017 (UTC)

JPG images

As for the images, they were originally in JPG, I uploaded them in JPG because I was trying to upload as most original as possible. Regards.

JuampyXnaker (talkcontribs) 21:41, February 19, 2017 (UTC) JuampyXnaker

I understand. However, we prefer PNG. So it would be best to convert them first, in case they were in JPG. There should be no loss from JPG to PNG. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 21:46, February 19, 2017 (UTC)

Mover rights

Oh wow! I wasn't even expecting a "promotion", but if it helps organizing the images I'm up for it. Still have a lot of images left to upload (scan then upload actually). Currently uploading my SECE-SP set; so I not only have a big KOR secondary collection, but also have some TCG sets in non-English; so I'll keep up the work to improve as further as I can.

DRL3-SP gallery error

Hi. I am planning to upload my DRL3-SP collection tomorrow; but checked the only 3 cards that had been uploaded previously, and the 3 present a similar error, here's a link to one of them: http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/File:DarkMagicianGirltheDragonKnight-DRL3-SP-UR-1E.png

As you can see, in the Info tab they have a warning telling the card name doesn't exist (when it does and even the link takes to the correct page). But what looks uglier is inside the info rectangle, the templates seem to have been copied wrong, so I don't know if that will show for my uploads or if it only shows for the 3 existing images because maybe they were uploaded very early on the set release, before the gallery was even created, dunno.

Could you please fix those 3, and check that the error doesn't carry to my uploads tomorrow? Thanks.

Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 14:21, February 21, 2017 (UTC)

Hi there.
The problem with the box saying the card article doesn't exist is due to SMW problems. SMW is what we use to store information about articles. This issue is beyond our reach and it was already reported.
The problem with the red links you were experiencing, is because the template wasn't created at the time. Usually, you just need to click on the link and redirect it to the parent page. Like so.
Feel free to carry on. Even if the template isn't created, you can upload files nevertheless. Once the template is created, all will be fine (this is considering the filename is correct and all, of course).
Again, thanks for the images! Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 16:40, February 21, 2017 (UTC)

Link Marker Categories

I have created some categories to sort Link Monsters by the type of Link Markers they possess, namely Top Link Marker Monster Cards, Left Link Marker Monster Cards, Right Link Marker Monster Cards, Bottom Link Marker Monster Cards, Bottom-Left Link Marker Monster Cards, and Bottom-Right Link Marker Monster Cards, but the means by which I sorted the cards into those categories, by putting them under "Misc" on the card's article page, is admittedly not the best way to go about doing it. Could you or another admin edit the CardTable2 template so that the names of the Link Markers under the Link Marker section will link to the corresponding pages, just like how clicking the numerical values of Levels, Ranks, ATK, DEF, Pendulum Scales, Link Numbers, and such, will link you to lists of monsters that share that particular value? And could you or another admin also edit the card query format of the Link Marker category pages to match the ones on other pages, such as

to give an example? (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 06:43, February 22, 2017 (UTC))
I would prefer to wait on anything like that until we know at the very least what the official Japanese names for the Link Markers are going to be, since I'd like to have to change that around as little as possible. In the meantime, I have made some fixes to the list pages, so they'll proprly display anime and manga Link Monsters now. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 14:50, February 22, 2017 (UTC)
Alright, that's fair enough. Thanks for making the edits to the list pages for now. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 17:16, February 22, 2017 (UTC))

Another missed error

Hi there again.

I am done uploading my DRL3-SP Set, and as usual I am checking that the images are linked properly to their galleries and all; and noticed a linking error here:

http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/File:RedNova-DRL3-SP-ScR-1E.png

The info rectangle links to a page about Red nova (an anime character/enemy) and not Red nova (the Fairy card). And also I think this prevents the rectangle from showing the Gallery link as well because it links to a non-card page.

Could you check that and fix it? Also, it might be wise to change the Anime page name to Red nova (Anime) or place a disambiguation along the way.

Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 17:23, February 22, 2017 (UTC)

Hello.
That's because Red Nova is a page about the character. The page for the card is Red Nova (card); so it needs to be pointed as such on the name parameter.
The anime card is under Red Nova (anime). Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 17:31, February 22, 2017 (UTC)

Category name change

I was wondering if you could use your bot to move Does not require specific Synchro Materials for its Synchro Summon to "Does not require specific Synchro Materials", and change the category name listing across the articles that are already in the category. I feel that it conveys the point of the category better without being too wordy, and would bring it in line with Does not require specific Tuner Synchro Materials and Does not require specific non-Tuner Synchro Materials. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 22:18, March 1, 2017 (UTC))

Thanks a lot for making that category name change. I think it looks a lot better now. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 03:07, March 2, 2017 (UTC))

Requires Synchro Monsters as Synchro Materials

I think I might have a way to figure out the issues with the Requires Synchro Monsters as Synchro Materials category. I've left a message on Talk:Requires Synchro Monsters as Synchro Materials to explain it. I don't know if it's the best solution, but it was something I thought of after a while of trying to figure things out. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 03:45, March 2, 2017 (UTC))

Alright, I put up a reply to your comment. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 00:04, March 3, 2017 (UTC))
Based on the comment you left on my talk page, I suppose you'll be keeping that talk page on alert or something then. But yeah, I replied to your comment. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 06:02, March 3, 2017 (UTC))
I see you tried to fix the listing issue on the category, though it may not have worked very effectively, but I left a message on the talk page regarding that. (05:03, March 4, 2017 (UTC))
I see you did some fixing up on the listing issue for the category. It seems that where anime articles are concerned, T.G. Blade Blaster (anime), T.G. Halberd Cannon (anime), and Shooting Quasar Dragon (anime) are missing form the listing, but that's all I can think of off the top of my head at the moment. I suppose eventually, we'll have to overhaul this category if and when we create the other proposed categories. How do we go about getting more people to weigh in on this discussion of which new categories to create in order to better organize things? (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 07:26, March 5, 2017 (UTC))
Alright then, thanks for fixing things. I did find it odd that Blade Blaster was listed as an Accel Synchro Monster on its OCG/TCG page, but not on its anime one, so maybe there's some oversight or mistake there? Either way, since Blade Blaster qualifies for inclusion in the category, I just manually tagged its anime page with the category. We'll probably have to change all this later on anyway if and when those proposed categories are created. How does on get about getting more users to discuss the matter of the proposed categories? It would be nice, in my opinion, if we get a decisive consensus on the matter soon, and not let it just drag out for I don't know how long. Last I checked, though, there did seem to be quite a bit of support for UltimateKuriboh's proposal. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 20:24, March 5, 2017 (UTC))
Would it be better to ask some other admins what they think of the issue? Apart from that, how long should we wait for there not to be any additional comments on the talk page before proceeding? About a week? (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 20:17, March 7, 2017 (UTC))
Yeah, I took a look at the talk page, and no one seems to be replying or have anything further to say, but I'm still willing to wait a little while longer. Not sure how long you wish to wait, though. Anyway, I think I figured out the issue with T.G. Blade Blaster. It is not listed as an Accel Synchro Monster on its anime card, which probably explains why it wasn't tagged as such. However, it has an anime summon chant that identifies it as an Accel Synchro Monster, which may explain why its TCG/OCG article has it tagged as an Accel Synchro Monster. How do we reconcile this? (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 07:04, March 12, 2017 (UTC))
Alright, thanks for reminding me. I'll get to making the category pages and the necessary edits shortly. Sorry for the late reply, I guess I was slightly busy lately and this matter sort of slipped my mind a bit. I'm still not really sure how to handle the contradiction for Blade Blaster, since the summon chant had Vizor say "Accel Synchro". I suppose one interpretation is that it's possible to Accel Synchro Summon a Synchro Monster that is not an Accel Synchro Monster (such as Goyo Guardian), by using a Tuner Synchro Monster and only non-Tuner Synchro Monsters as materials for the summon. Maybe Vizor was referring to that in the chant when he summoned Blade Blaster. Then again, a number of Crow's ARC-V Synchro Summons are technically Accel Synchro Summons since he used only Synchro Monsters as materials (albeit the Tuner Synchro Monsters used were only treated as such due to their effects), but he doesn't say "Accel Synchro" in the chant (though the term "Accel Synchro" is never used in ARC-V anyway). Also, none of the Blackwing Synchros are Accel Synchro Monsters, so I'm sort of not sure what to make of it. That interpretation I postulated might be the closest thing to making sense of it all though. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 08:25, March 17, 2017 (UTC))
Frankly, I'm not too bothered by the whole Accel Synchro thing for Blade Blaster, just that it caused some problems when listing articles in the Requires both Tuner and non-Tuner Synchro Monsters as Synchro Materials category when using Accel Synchro Monsters as a means for categorization. Thus, I figured that the best solution was simply to manually tag all pertinent card articles with the category rather than bother with the Accel Synchro thing. Anyway, that brings me to another issue, namely that I can't seem to get the Cosmic Blazar Dragon (anime), Shooting Quasar Dragon (anime), Shooting Star Dragon (anime) and T.G. Halberd Cannon (anime) articles to show up in the "Requires both Tuner and non-Tuner Synchro Monsters as Synchro Materials" category, despite manually tagging them with the category. Any assistance on that matter would be greatly appreciated. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 07:16, March 26, 2017 (UTC))
Sorry about the late reply, but thanks alot for fixing the issues with the categories and your help in suggesting how the categories should be structured. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 21:39, April 17, 2017 (UTC))

Korean Abyss Soldier

Hi Beca. This image is listed as a reprint, but we don't have an original image available. What is the difference between the two? --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 19:48, March 2, 2017 (UTC)

Hey Golden Key. How's it going?
It was because of this. Example for "Judgment of Anubis": Original print; print when the pack was re-issued. On the former, the pattern is like the ScR pattern TCG uses; the latter is like how Japan has always used (in the TCG, those would be called as PScR (especially considering they were addressed as such officially by Konami here, at least)). Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 19:55, March 2, 2017 (UTC)
Grad school is soul draining, but I'm still trying to sneak in time for Wiki editing when I can. :)
Thanks for the explanation. --Golden Key (talkcontribs) 20:38, March 2, 2017 (UTC)
Good luck with that!
By the way, don't know if you noticed, but I managed to find the original "Abyss Soldier": File:AbyssSoldier-ESP2-KR-ScR-UE.png. I'll see if I can find the rest from that set. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 21:41, March 2, 2017 (UTC)

RE: Bandai Sealdass

Hello Becasita , apologies for not replying sooner.
As soon as I get a chance I will upload a picture of the 1999 Bandai Sealdass Yugioh #00 Sticker . I have only Just moved so am still unpacking my collections , but will scan back AND front as this is the ONLY card that aknowledges the existence of itself - the other 42 do not show it on the reverse , they only list 01 - 42. best regards , --Nukleopatra01 (talkcontribs) 00:59, March 3, 2017 (UTC)

ABYR KR UE Gallery

When you updated the

http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Set_Card_Galleries:Abyss_Rising_(OCG-KR-UE)?oldid=3737803

Set gallery, you deleted the HGR spot at the bottom. Don't forget to re-add it. It doesn't have a picture yet, but should be there in case someone wants to add the picture. Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 21:53, March 3, 2017 (UTC)

EXP6-KR Listing error

Hi there.

I am currently updating that set gallery links (already uploaded the pictures a week ago or so) and noticed something that might need fixing (hopefully a bot can do it).

When you open a card from that set

http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Set_Card_Galleries:Extra_Pack:_Sword_of_Knights_(OCG-KR-1E)

and look at the Sets it is in under the Korean tab, many of them will have EP13-KR numbers, like an example:

http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Ancient_Dragon

which in EXP6-KR002 on the set, under the Korean Sets tab it will have in red EP13-KR002 because that set doesn't exist and was surely made because the Japanese Extra packs had begun to use the year instead of the set number; something the Korean sets would do after this one.

So far I've noticed in several, but not all. So if you could check and fix that it'll be nice.

Thanks.

P.D. I don't know how to fix that or else I would do it myself while I check card by card in the galleries, which I am already doing.

P.D.2. Dunno if EXP5-KR does have a similar issue; haven't checked because I didn't uploaded any picture to it as it was already completed. But it shares the same point with EXP6 as they both have different prefixes from the JP version. EP12-JP<->EXP5-KR and EP13-JP<->EXP6-KR

Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 14:46, March 4, 2017 (UTC)

Alrighty, leave it to me. Thanks for pointing this out! Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 15:04, March 4, 2017 (UTC)

RE: Does not require specific Xyz Materials

Well, after making all those categories for the material requirements of Extra Deck monsters, I've come to conclude that the "Requires specific Xyz Materials for its Xyz Summon" category was overly general and won't really help anyone, so I decided to make new categories to sort Xyz Monsters by more specific material requirements (archetype, Attribute, and Type, which seem to encapsulate 95% or so of monsters with specific material requirements). When I was re-sorting all the cards in the former category to the new ones, I kept it around so I had a list of monsters I knew had to be re-sorted. After the old category was emptied of all the cards, I just moved it to that new name, since I was always planning on making a category for Xyz Monsters with generic materials anyway I figured it was more convenient to move the category that way rather than inconvenience an admin by asking him to delete the old category, only to have to make a new one for the generic material Xyz Monsters. The reason the moved category is currently empty is because I didn't have time yet to put cards into it. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 20:17, March 7, 2017 (UTC))

Well, I figured that it was better to give the page a new lease on life, since it was already created. As I mentioned, getting an admin to delete it and then creating a new page seemed to me to just add an extra layer of complexity that could just be bypassed by moving the page to a new name and function. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 07:04, March 12, 2017 (UTC))
I suppose what you say is true, though I mildly wonder who would go through the page history just to see all the revisions the page as gone through, and in some cases, there can be very many revisions. But ah well, something to remember in future. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 08:25, March 17, 2017 (UTC))
Well, that's fair enough, I suppose. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 07:16, March 26, 2017 (UTC))

Timegazer Magician

What Does It Mean To Activate It As A Scale? Does It Mean To Place It In The Zone? Or Something Else? Bob1200 (talkcontribs) 23:19, March 9, 2017 (UTC)

That's exactly what it means, when you place it in the pendulum zone, it activates as if it was a spell card
Dread (talkcontribs) 23:22, March 9, 2017 (UTC)
So If I'm Understanding This Right, U Can't Place It In The Pendulum Zone Unless U Control No Monsters. They Should Really Specify That On The Card, As I Have The Real Card, Lmao. Thx For Helping. Bob1200 (talkcontribs) 23:23, March 9, 2017 (UTC)
Dread, yeah, it's not an effect. Was distracted, blah...
Anyway, no, "to place" is not the same as activating. "Wisdom-Eye Magician" places cards in the Pendulum Zones; they are not activated. Activating a card does require placing it, yes.
Bob, you place it and activate it. See Activate. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 23:24, March 9, 2017 (UTC)
Bob, you can place it in the Pendulum Zone through the effect of "Wisdom-Eye Magician" even if you control monsters. But you can't activate it, say, from your hand. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 23:25, March 9, 2017 (UTC)
So On Its Own, It Can't Be Put In The Pendulum Zone As A Spell If U Have A Monster Out, But U Can With The Effect Of A Monster? Am I Understanding That Right? Bob1200 (talkcontribs) 23:27, March 9, 2017 (UTC)
Yes, more or less. If a card like "Wisdom-Eye Magician", that says "place"; then you can, because you're not activating it. If a card says "activate", you can't activate it if you have monsters, because you would be activating it while you have monsters; which you can't. Revival of Black Demons Dragon - set list error

you changed something about this set list.1 but now the japanese names are gone from the set list as it is displayed in the main article.2 - DK-ZERO (talkcontribs) 18:07, March 12, 2017 (UTC)

Oh, indeed. My bad. Thanks for letting me know!
By the way, to link to pages, just do like Revival of Black Demons Dragon. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 18:24, March 12, 2017 (UTC)

Translated name

Why was the translated name for Stargazer and Timegazer erased. I thought it was Magician of Astromancy and Magician of Chronomancy when it was first revealed. I only did because there was no translated name.Dskid64 (talkcontribs) 19:55, March 12, 2017 (UTC)

There is no need to have a translated name for all the cards. Especially if it has the same meaning/connotation as the official name; it adds nothing new and, ultimately, isn't official. There's only a point in noting translated names if the names differ from the official name. For instance: "Infinite Dismissal" Japanese's name translates to something like "Messiah's Antlion Larva"; so it's worth pointing it out. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 20:01, March 12, 2017 (UTC)
Yeah, Stargazer and Timegazer have the same connotations as the initial translations. Someone who gazes at stars or time would be performing astromancy and chronomancy, respectively. There is not always one translation. You can correctly translate some things in multiple ways. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 21:04, March 12, 2017 (UTC)

Egyptian God cards original effect

YUDHY11 (talkcontribs)just fo clarify on http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Card_Appearances:The_Winged_Dragon_of_Ra in the OCG/TCG termonology original effect says : "your opponent cannot tribute this card". it should be written also on http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Card_Trivia:The_Winged_Dragon_of_Ra to consider that 3 egyptian God has simmilar eff : They cannot be Tributed by your opponent and Control of the cards cannot change. source : http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Egyptian_God YUDHY11 (talkcontribs) 15:08, March 14, 2017 (UTC)

I don't know, honestly. If you're having problems with another user regarding that matter, the best you can do is either leave them a message or start a discussion on the respective talk page. In any case, you need to try to sort it out and, unfortunately, I can't help you with that.
I do understand, though, that if the Egyptian God's page says they can't be Tributed (and has it sourced), then it would fit their possible lore, yes. But I'm not much into the matter. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 21:17, March 14, 2017 (UTC)

ANPR KR UE Gallery

Hi; could you please add the ANPR Korean Unlimited gallery?

I'll continue uploading my sets next week (or next month, depends on Mass effect XD ) as today I uploaded my last scanned one, which is SOVR, right after (or right before as I am going backwards) ANPR and looked at the page and it doesn't have Korean under Unlimited galleries.

Thanks! Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 21:11, March 16, 2017 (UTC)

Re: Noting status for cards with no set

I know that. I do it only when the set the card is in, or a card from it, is confirmed to release as a preventive thing, so that it us not left with an erroneous "unlimited" status when the english set is added until someone remembers to put the "unreleased" tag. --XBrain130™エックスブレーン130」 23:29, March 17, 2017 (UTC)

Thank you.

No probs! Tagging it for deletion is the way to go. You can even add |speedy=true, in those cases. You can also leave a message on Forum:Admin noticeboard. But tagging with the Delete is the way to go. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 20:29, March 18, 2017 (UTC)

Set Lists

Are we using Set list from now on, or is it still in testing? I see you and X-Metaman converting several lists to the format.PhotonLegion95 (talkcontribs) 21:01, March 18, 2017 (UTC)

Spent a little time messing around with both. The list is fine, would be better if there was a way to remove the brackets from un filled sections so we can have the full list with blank spaces up. Saying that, this version is certainly much easier to deal with not having all spaces up than the previous.
The Gallery one is fine for sets. Just had to tinker with which fields needs to be in which part of the gallery, so I've got working templates for core sets and Collector's Pack (OCG side). One issue I'm having is with a cards individual gallery page, though I'm not sure it was designed for them. I've made an example in my practice space. It doesn't seem to recognise Proxy Images and defaults to common (this is with either "Official Proxy" or "OP" used as the rarity field). Not sure if anything can be done about that or not. How to change JPG to PNG?

Hi.

I want to upload a better picture for this card:

http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/File:StardustDragon-TDGS-KR-UtR-UE.jpg

But it is a JPG and mine is a PNG, so, how do I change the link so that it is a PNG, or do I simply upload my picture on top and it would change to PNG automatically?

So far it is the only of this type I've found in my replacement bids; but in case I run with more in the future if I decide to upgrade those 100KB pics I might need to know how to turn the url intro a PNG.

Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 16:15, March 21, 2017 (UTC)

Hey there.
You just need to open the queue. Then click on "Add manually". Then add "StardustDragon-TDGS-KR-UtR-UE.jpg" on the "Old file name:" field (note that you don't need to add "File:" before the name) and "StardustDragon-TDGS-KR-UtR-UE.png" on the "New file name" field. "Add to the queue". You can load multiple image links this way. When you're ready, press "Execute". After that, don't forget to tag the old images (the JPG ones) with Delete. This only updates the links; it doesn't move files; it's not possible to convert a JPG image into a PNG one like that. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 16:33, March 21, 2017 (UTC)
Done
Thanks for the step by step explanation. All links are now directed to the newly uploaded PNG one and JPG has been tagged for deletion.

DUSA Ultra Parallel, new rarity?

Might want to look at this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cDI0QEILDm4

Don't know if it is just an optical illusion, but the cards don't look "normal" Ultra, the foil has Parallel bars that shine through it. Might want to consult your sources.

Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 16:22, March 26, 2017 (UTC)

The official site says "all cards in the set use an all-new, all-different Ultra Rare technology". So it seems they revamped Ultra Rares with this set. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 17:13, March 26, 2017 (UTC)
Ultra 2.0. So, since the site calls them the new Ultra technology I guess they will still be named Ultra. Maybe just add to the DUSA page that information on the first paragraph, that this set introduced the new Ultra standard, or something. Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 17:40, March 26, 2017 (UTC)
Yep, it seems they are still Ultra Rares. This has happened before with Gold Rares, for instance.
That is a good idea. Feel free to point it there. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 17:51, March 26, 2017 (UTC)

Ok, the first should be fixed. A bunch of null edits seems to have resulted.
The second... I'm not being able to remove "Phonon" from there, for some reason. Would be expecting Secondary type::!Tuner monster to work, but no. I'll look into this later and I'll also request some help. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 21:28, March 27, 2017 (UTC)

Reply about replacing files along with question about files being okay.

When my mover rights were revoked, I could not rename files, though I could still replace files. I can regain these rights as long as there are no additional problems. I don't want to get blocked for that edit on Card Gallery:Grave Ohja or get in even more trouble around here as I still want to help out on this wiki.

I have a set of images that I was prepared to upload, but I need to make sure they are not considered useless. I did have a closeup of "Unsinkable Titanica" that I was prepared to upload that shows the lion head on the ship at a better angle along with another image that showed the three angel statues not seen in the nc image. Should I rename these (they were supposed to be named closeup, but this is not valid anymore for this wiki as from your recent message to me)?
I also have an image of "Fiendish Knight", which does show its back during its attack, but most of its front is still visible. Would this image be okay to upload here? Should I crop the image so that it only shows this monster's back?
I also have an image of "Overlay Banish" with its full name visible (the main image has part of it cut off due to showing the lore as well), but it also shows most of the rest the card as well? Would this image be okay to upload here?

Reply when you can! Cardsknower (talkcontribs) 14:18, April 4, 2017 (UTC)

I would not put so many images in one Gallery. Personally Depending on which part of the monster is not shown in the nc, I would show either the side or the back of the monster if that was possible as they aren't shown in the image. Note that there are other nc images not uploaded by me which has monsters in different poses. I wouldn't put those in.Cardsknower (talkcontribs) 17:17, April 4, 2017 (UTC)

That kind of thing needs to be on a case-by-case basis. Based on the above, I'd say the "Titantica" image is probably fine and the "Fiendish Knight" one is not.
NC images are complicated. For example, we can't use an image of a monster from episode 38 in the article for episode 97, even if its the same monster, so that sort of thing can result in multiple NC images. So the general rule there is to ensure the images are being used somewhere besides just the galleries, if possible. In fact, I'm not even sure we need them in the galleries to begin with. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 00:04, April 5, 2017 (UTC)

Add a gallery please

Please add the Korean gallery for

The Tip cards; don't you want them added? I have the 10 (9 + check list one), I have them for the Yusei 1, 2 and 3, and also for the Crow DP. If you want them added, add the section on the galleries please; otherwise I won't scan them if they aren't wanted. Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 18:35, April 6, 2017 (UTC)
There are Strategy Cards in Korean as well? Alrighty, hum, we were thinking of changing them to their own gallery. I've added them into the same gallery, for now. And yes, we want them, fantastic.
When uploading the Strategy Cards, don't use the OCG-TCG card image template on them, because it's not supposed to.
Thanks a lot! Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 18:43, April 6, 2017 (UTC)
Don't forget to add them to the Yusei 2 and 3 DPs as well. And to the Crow's DP, I also have the Korean tip cards from those 3.Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 18:59, April 6, 2017 (UTC)
Done. In any case, in the future, if you need galleries that are missing, you just need to search for similar ones, copy them and change the indexes, basically. If you need help, feel free to contact me anytime, though. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 20:25, April 6, 2017 (UTC)
Ok, I added the MACR-KR gallery, and it worked Set Card Galleries:Maximum Crisis (OCG-KR-1E) Now I have a related question; the card numbers MACR-KR001... and so on, appear red as they aren't linked to the existing card page, is this done later automatically by a bot? Or how can I link them to the current page for the card? For example the MACR-KR001 should be linked to MACR-JP001 as it is the current card page. So should I simply add those links when I click on the red link and a small window pops-up? Or is it better that I leave it alone for an automatic update? Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 14:03, April 10, 2017 (UTC)
Ok, to start, it seems you're using the VisualEditor. I'd advise you to switch to the source editor (seeing the code of the page). You can do so by going to your preferences and changing "preferred editor" to the source editor (if you don't like it, you can always change it back).
Regarding the red links, that's because the page for them doesn't exist yet. In case of, say, MACR-JP001, it's a page that redirects to another (in this case, to "Performapal Sky Magician"). If you want, you can go through all of them and create them, but it's a tedious task; I can set my bot account to do it. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 14:16, April 10, 2017 (UTC)
Yeah, it automatically opened de Visual editor, so I thought that was the way to go, but it didn't created the gallery just placed my text as is; but then with the page created I did the usual of pressing E to edit it and delete the headers so that the gallery showed up, but didn't thought of removing the spacing the VE created. I also added the KR list and this time I looked on the menu and saw that, the Source editor and was straight on familiar terrain, so I hope the list doesn't have the spacing issue. I'll leave your bot to do the dirty work for the gallery then. Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 14:28, April 10, 2017 (UTC)
Yeah, I much prefer the source editor; you can manage the content directly. And yes, all good with the set list. I already have my bot working on it. Thanks! Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 14:39, April 10, 2017 (UTC)

Aquaria and Arc-Area translation

Hello. I want to tell you regarding the change I made in Aquaria Project page,

There are many cases interpunct is not necessary to separate a name, title, etc in Japanese. For example like the term Flame Haze in Shakugan no Shana, it’s written without any interpunct between “Flame" and “Haze" in Japanese. And Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon, the "Odd-Eyes” part is not written with interpunct, so it’s possible that other than Aquaria, it can also be translated as “Arc-Area”.

For this reason, just in case I think the alternate translation should be add in the page at least like this: Aquaria Project

At the very least please consider to leave it that way only until the English Dub of episode 106 is aired.--Frost190 (talkcontribs) 21:24, April 11, 2017 (UTC)

I know we left the discussion hanging for renaming this category, but I'm leaning more towards XBrain's idea. Do you have any input on the matter? (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 21:01, April 17, 2017 (UTC))

Editing Issue

A block? You mean on my account? I reverted back to my edits twice, one each for a different edit for the same person. How does that warrant a block? --ArcVRains (talkcontribs) 19:54, April 26, 2017 (UTC)

On the account of the user who keeps insisting on an edit war. The other user tried to explain. If you didn't get his explanation you can either: 1) leave them a message to try to understand the issue before reverting back; 2) leave a message on the page's talk page and try to gather more input.
I also don't have the same opinion as you, hence why reverted. I will not allow another reversion without further discussion. Dennis was part of the Lancers, but he was working with the Academia. Nothing says he joined back. Celina had no reasons to leave the Lancers. She was absorbed into Ray (or better, Zuzu) and that's it and that was the end. To me (and not only to me), she was a member of the Lancers. Dennis, at some point in time, stopped being.
By the way, I noticed you went ahead with your idea on Zarc's page and then reverted, even though you were told not to. Please don't do that again; just create a sandbox page on your user space, or use Yu-Gi-Oh!:Sandbox for that kind of stuff. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 20:14, April 26, 2017 (UTC)
So you assumed I'm trying to start an edit war after two edits? You can't be serious. I wasn't gonna do anything if it got reverted. You don't know me, so don't assume you know what I'm going to do.

Declan counted Dennis as a Lancer when telling Yuya who he had to duel. Celina was captured then brainwashed into betraying the Lancers and she never rejoined. That means she shouldn't be counted as a current member. It was to show the admins my idea to look over. I don't get what the problem is. I'm still new on this site and I don't have a lot of free time so I wanted to get to the point. --ArcVRains (talkcontribs) 20:58, April 26, 2017 (UTC)

Dennis was dueled because he was a Lancer at the end of the Battle Royal; the final gauntlet that Yuya went through was intended as a simulation of the Championship finals had they continued. Dennis himself almost certainly doesn't consider himself a Lancer; the reason he's in Heartland is likely atonement as an Academy student. As for Celina, I'm with Becs on this one.
As for the edit war, that's blimmin' DragonEmeperor not giving the reasons for his reversions AGAIN.
Edits like that on the Zarc page clog up the edit history I believe, which the admins prefer to avoid.
Cool heads everyone. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 22:40, April 26, 2017 (UTC)
My reasons for Dennis and Celina aren't that different for why everyone considers Sora and Crow as Lancers.
I know, but I'm being threatened with having my account blocked over TWO edits and being accused of trying to start an edit war, while dragonpeon has been causing problems for who knows how long, but nothing is done about him.
How was I suppose to know that? If the admins had bothered to explain why I shouldn't do that, I would have dropped the issue on Zarc's page.
I'm sorry, but it's hard to keep a cool head when it feels like every time I make an edit I'm being jumped for it. --ArcVRains (talkcontribs) 17:33, April 29, 2017 (UTC)
To start, you shouldn't say stuff like " If the admins had grown a few brain cells" and then talk about people jump on you. It's rude and it's not a good start.
Sora and Crow were explicitly addressed as Lancers by Reiji, if I recall correctly, when they were on the boat on their way to Academia.
DragonEmeperor was blocked twice already and several other warnings were issued. So you saying nothing has been done and trying to pass an image that people bash on you and you are a victim is quite wrong and won't work here.
I told you not to do it on Zarc's page and explained where to do it. You just told me to mind my own business. Now, to why I didn't want that, yes, it's because it clogs the page history; experiments shouldn't be done on content pages, that everyone sees and take as a legit source of information (special cases may exist, though, but should be explicitly pointed). This should be more or less obvious, though. Also, it doesn't matter why, if an admin asks you to not do it, you shouldn't do it. Of course, I also would ask for a reason (it's legitimate) which you didn't.
Just let's conclude this matter, because this is not taking us anywhere. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 19:12, April 29, 2017 (UTC)
I know, that's why I changed it right after. It was a mistake brought upon by the stress from being on this site. I realize that was a mistake, but you don't seem to realize how excessive blocking me over TWO edits is. Did I revert ChaosGallade's edits? No. But you assumed I was going to keep at it without even saying anything on the talk page. Locking the page I can understand, but blocking me for reverting two different edits from the same person?
Sora and Crow were not explicitly referred to as Lancers. Declan's referred to the Lancers with other people before, so why should this time be any different? There wasn't even confirmation from the two themselves.
I did not know that. I never said people were bashing me on my edits. And I am not trying to play the victim. It was an exaggeration. I meant I was annoyed how almost every edit or idea I try has rejected so far.
"Also, it doesn't matter why, if an admin asks you to not do it, you shouldn't do it." If you had given me a reason why, I would have let it drop, but all you told me is that I couldn't do it. That's not much of a reason. I said I wanted to try something, that was it. It's not much of an expiation, but that's how I can best get my point across. It's another story if it was about adding something untrue or not canon.
This isn't taking us anywhere because all that we're doing are pointing out each other's faults and our justification for them. In fact, the way you've been towards me makes gives off the impression that my opinion doesn't matter. I want to resolve this, but that's not gonna happen unless we stop talking to each other as if one's right, the other's wrong, and start talking to each other as people. --ArcVRains (talkcontribs) 17:36, May 1, 2017 (UTC) —Last edited by ArcVRains (talkcontribs) at 21:05, May 1, 2017 (UTC).
It's not about blocking after two edits. It's blocking because the user seems to refuse to try to deal with the problem besides reverting. If you didn't understand why they reverted and there were reversions already; don't revert saying "Say something in the comments.", because that's halfway for people to revert you for the exact same reason and so on. I just intervened to prevent a potential edit war.
As for the Zarc page edit, I don't know what more to say. It seems you didn't read my words accurately. I know I didn't give you any reason. You also didn't ask for one. Like on the above case, you didn't try to understand what was happening; see where that lead. If you're not understanding something, pause and ask. Don't be snappy. And like I said, should be more or less obvious. These are content pages that everyone sees. You're not going to try experiments on them without approval and discussion. There are 400 active users; imagine if all of them decided to experiment stuff and then revert. I also like to experiment stuff. Look, I have around this many subpages for my experiences. You just had to copy the content from Zarc's page, paste it and change it and the publish it on a subpage of yours. It wouldn't require more effort than the one you had and you would still have the revision up in order to try to improve it and, who knows, with some tweaks, maybe it could be better than what we currently have. And if you really don't like the way we have it now, I strongly encourage you in trying to improve it. But not on Zarc's page; on a sandbox.
I always address to users as I address to people. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 21:46, May 1, 2017 (UTC)
But that's just it: you assumed I would have kept going if you hadn't threatened to lock the page and block my account. With Dragonemperor I undid his reversion because I've heard he's been either reverting edits without explaining why or with what he does with character bios and images and that loses credibility in my book. But if it were anyone else, I would not have reverted what they undid and instead would have PM them or debate on the talk page. You saw I didn't revert back to what I had before ChaosGallade undid it. Granted I didn't message him, but that was before you got involved.
Your right. I should have asked for a reason, but I guess I was expecting you or someone else to give me one given I was still new. (Note: I'm not bringing that up to play the victim or anything like that, merely to explain why I expected someone would give me a reason and why it didn't occur to me to ask.)
I took what you said the wrong way and apologized for that, but I can get defensive when other people butt in. An admin is more likely to listen to another or people they already know over a new user trying to suggest an idea.
There was never any intention of doing the same thing with editing a page then reverting it right after, which you presumed I would have done with other edits. It was a one time thing. My time is limited at the moment so I would have to rush trying to figure out how to set up what I needed on a sub page. --ArcVRains (talkcontribs) 18:08, May 3, 2017 (UTC)
You're looking at it in the wrong way; I didn't assume you would revert again or whatever. I just wanted to prevent an edit war. I wasn't particularly speaking to you; just to an user who would keep being stubborn and revert stuff instead of discussing.
It doesn't matter what you saw about that user. He actually tried to explain himself that second time. And the attitude of "he reverts often without explanation, so I'll just revert too" is exactly the kind of stuff I wanted to prevent. If some user does something bad, don't do it just because they did it.
What I can tell you, as an admin, is that I'm willing to listen to anyone's ideas. New people may not be into this or that of what's going on the wiki. But sometimes that's a good thing, because their perception is the general perception and we need to account for that as well (especially, in fact).
I did not presume you'd do experiments like that again. You simply shouldn't have done. You may not have time to learn how to build your own sandbox; hence why I told you how. And when I tried to help you, you were snappy towards me. But we talked about that.
Listen, mate, it's fine, it's sorted out. Don't worry. Just try to keep in line with stuff; any question just ask me. But ask. Don't engage in wars. Try solving stuff with polite conversations. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 20:06, May 3, 2017 (UTC)
Then why didn't you message me to ask me to stop? You didn't have to threaten me either. I would have stopped if you'd just done that. --ArcVRains (talkcontribs) 18:55, May 14, 2017 (UTC)
That doesn't answer my question. --ArcVRains (talkcontribs) 19:01, June 7, 2017 (UTC)
I have nothing more to say to you, because you're just being confrontational now. Why didn't I message you? Instead of leaving you a message telling you to stop, I decided to leave a message, through the edit summary, to all users, that the matter should be discussed before more changes. Based on the conversation on this section, I bet that if I had left you a message, you'd be here complaining why I left you a message, as you already kinda did, even though I tried to be as embracing as possible on that, instead of addressing particularly to you or anyone.
I did not threaten you. I was just making the users aware that, if a reverse war would keep on going, there would be consequences, because we don't tolerate that kind of behaviour. If you took that as a personal threat, well, that's too bad; it seems you felt some guilt.
I did what I did and you stopped. So, instead of particularizing the situation on you or the other fellow, I tried to be generic to avoid pointing fingers at people, because, really, that would not be very good of me (nor anyone) and, believe me, I wasn't trying to point anything to anyone; was just being generic; I don't care if it was user ArcVrains and user A or user B and user C. That kind of situation was not very correct.
It's done, there's nothing more I can say to you. Everything I could say to you is already under this section. We are done here. Just re-read it. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 21:57, June 7, 2017 (UTC)
Wow, you are unbelievable. So the reason you didn't message me was because you assumed you knew how I would act, even though you don't know me? How can you be so sure I would've complained if you didn't even try? I would have asked why, but then drop it afterwards. You just assumed I would complain, like how you accused me of being snappy towards you. How would you feel if I accused you of being paranoid and passive aggressive? And I wasn't taking it as an attack on me, but try taking a look at it from my perspective: a new user already threatened to have his account blocked over two edits. Of course I would complain about that, but if you had just messaged me and asked me to stop, I would have dropped it by now and this wouldn't have escalated to where it is. --ArcVRains (talkcontribs) 20:46, June 10, 2017 (UTC)
You're just being confrontational. I please ask you to stop disfiguring my words, especially when they are just above and everyone can see them. I said "Based on the conversation on this section, I bet that if I had left you a message, you'd be here complaining why I left you a message". And you say "So the reason you didn't message me was because you assumed you knew how I would act, even though you don't know me?". So it's clear it's not that. "Instead of leaving you a message telling you to stop, I decided to leave a message, through the edit summary, to all users, that the matter should be discussed before more changes." this is the reason. Do I need to point everything to you like that? I shouldn't. So I please ask you to drop this matter, because it feels like you're just here with the intent of provoking me and I am not appreciating that.
I please ask you to drop this matter. Thank you. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 21:29, June 10, 2017 (UTC)

"Ultra Polymerization" vs. "Starving Venom Fusion Dragon"

dude i cant find the rulings plus i email konami ygorules the exact same thing and they said it second effect would work u got to believe me on this Oddeyes123 (talkcontribs) 23:41, April 26, 2017 (UTC)

Yeah, I can't simply accept that as a valid argument, sorry.
It's a similar case to "De-Fusion" (rulings). Just search the ruling that talks about "Starving Venom Fusion Dragon" (said ruling is retrieved from the official database).
Simply put, the card Summons its materials back. Its materials are 2 DARK monsters on the field, except Tokens. When the card searches for them in the Graveyard, it will never find 2 DARK monsters on the field, except Tokens. Because the materials need to exist on the field. So even though the cards used for the Summon are in the Graveyard, its materials, 2 DARK monsters on the field, except Tokens, are not in the Graveyard. Hello there. To fix it, you just had to do this. You just had to place "Dragodies, the Empowered Warrior" under the pendulum monsters group. You almost did well the first time, but casing is import with templates; you did Pendulum Monsters, but it should have been all lower cased, because that's the parameter name, not an header or something like that. More documentation and how-to-use can be read at Decklist. Any questions, fell free to ask. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 21:35, May 6, 2017 (UTC)

Set lists

Salut, Becasita. Some time ago, you deleted the Set Card List pages for the Italian and Spanish releases of "Maximum Crisis". Is it okay if the pages are recreated now, or is there still a problem?

TheycallmeBrick (talkcontribs) 11:19, May 8, 2017 (UTC)

Hey there, Brick. You can create them, but not with Set list. You'd have to create them the other way, with the boilerplate. Set list is still too heavy and I doubt I'll be able to make it cheaper for now. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 15:32, May 8, 2017 (UTC)
But what was this problem? I was adding the Italian names through it as it was deleted and I didn't notice anything wrong. --XBrain130™エックスブレーン130」 15:53, May 8, 2017 (UTC)
The list page itself is fine. The problem is that the list is transcluded into the set page. When that happens, the weight of the list is added into the weight of the set page. So, the total weight of the set page is weight(set page) + 6 * weight(TCG lists) + 2 * weight(OCG lists). The weight of the set page has the weight of Infobox set, added with the weight if Set navigation, plus Set list tabs, plus Booster Packs. Some are heavier than others. Adding them all with the lists, exceeds the software limits, so stuff is not being processed (e.g., the page will appear broken).
Using the boilerplate doesn't increase as much the weight, because it's mostly hardcode, it doesn't use functions and all. You can read more at Wikipedia:Template limits. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 17:46, May 8, 2017 (UTC)
I see. Look, this is unrelated, but since you fixed the problem with Extra Deck Pendulums, think you can do something for Normal ones, as they do not show up in queries that ask for Normal Monsters? --XBrain130™エックスブレーン130」 15:43, May 9, 2017 (UTC)
Should be working fine now. Cache may still need to update, so if it's not working as expected, null edit the card pages first.

When I tried to update File:SphinxTeleia-TP03-JP-C.png with queue, there was an error with it, so I had to do it manually. I accidentally mistyped png as pngg, which you corrected. The other file I uploaded was able to be updated with queue. I was going to put them both in conjunction with each other, but that error I got with the queue prevented me from doing so (this error never happened before previously). I didn't want to upload File:SphinxTeleia-TF04-JP-VG.png just a few seconds after the first file because it would have been more exactly like the previous incident that got me blocked for a month. I'm sorry I did it like that, but this was due to an error message, not something I was trying to repeat previously that got me blocked.Cardsknower (talkcontribs) 17:17, May 18, 2017 (UTC)

Template

Would it be alright if I added the interwiki template that had been developed on for linking to Wikipedia? I know you like using the pipe method but this template is more reliable, can be used in places where the pipe method can't, and would cut down the amount of code used for links. Chimera-gui (talkcontribs) 17:31, May 20, 2017 (UTC)

Link, please. Might be too redundant, depends. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 19:52, May 20, 2017 (UTC)
Here you go: here Chimera-gui (talkcontribs) 21:10, May 20, 2017 (UTC)
Oh, that. I don't find it very interesting to the point of us using it (I tried to come up with a more versatile one, but not worth it). Seems kinda redundant. Reminds me of the Anime/Manga case, to be honest. Which we ended up cutting entirely (discussion). Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 00:09, May 21, 2017 (UTC)
So what was the issue? Maybe I can help with it. And by the way, the span tags hide the namespace when you hover over the link so I'd suggest keeping them.

I'd also suggest using abbreviations like just "ns" for the template itself as cut down the code Chimera-gui (talkcontribs) 01:27, May 21, 2017 (UTC)
There's no issue. I simply don't find it useful. Basically, the same as the templates being discussed on that forum thread I pointed. It's not complicated to hard link it.
You can bring it here, if you really want, but I'm neutral towards it. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 11:44, May 21, 2017 (UTC)
Would you mind if I experiment with the existing one? I'd like to understand how it even works cause I could not replicate it when on my own wiki because of the following issues:
  1. The switch used the default setting when I used wikipedia as {}
  2. I wanted to have the hoverbox not display "w:c:{}:" when I place my cursor over the link.
Chimera-gui (talkcontribs) 01:30, May 25, 2017 (UTC)
I'm not sure if I understand to which one you're referring to.
You mean on my experiment? Well, if you use , should point to wikipedia:Fair use and display that on hover. Example: Fair use. So it doesn't use the #default of the #switch, in that case. I can make the hover box to only display the page name, but I think it's more useful if it displays the host wiki (I could cut "w:c", though).
You can try it elsewhere, yeah, but be sure to link to where it came from, please. It's a good practice. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 00:44, May 26, 2017 (UTC)
When I tried to replicate the template's code, I had links going to w:c:wikipedia:lepidopterist instead, any idea why it would do that? Here was where I had been tesing: test
I'll credit you once I know it works exactly as it does here, sound good? Chimera-gui (talkcontribs) 15:17, May 26, 2017 (UTC)
That's because you're using the default for all instances. I've fixed it for you.
It's not about crediting me. When you bring some stuff from a place to another, you should always state you're bringing it from somewhere else and link to it (preferably in the edit summary when creating the page).
Anyway, yours should be working now. Though you might want more stuff it's not doing, but just let me know. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 21:15, May 26, 2017 (UTC)
Okay, I noted that your template was the basis for the new version. Thank you for the help. Chimera-gui (talkcontribs) 22:01, May 26, 2017 (UTC)
No probs. If you need anything, poke me. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 22:04, May 26, 2017 (UTC)
Anyway, how would you make the hoverbox only display the page name? I don't see much point to including "wikipedia" in it when the full url is always displayed at the bottom of the window already. Chimera-gui (talkcontribs) 22:07, May 26, 2017 (UTC)
Ok, try this. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 23:04, May 26, 2017 (UTC)
That worked, thanks. Chimera-gui (talkcontribs) 23:09, May 26, 2017 (UTC)

Hey,
Since we got this, what about to create a "Master guide 5 storyline" ?
Cards like Deneb, Infernoid Decatron or Zefraath are linking to an external link, or inexistant page.
Yes42 (talkcontribs) 17:14, May 29, 2017 (UTC)
Hey there. Yep, it needs to be created. Preferably similar to the previous ones. It seems we're missing a Master Guide 4 card storylines too. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 17:35, May 29, 2017 (UTC)
Well, i noticed that the images used were from Konami's official blog or a video game. In the case of MG5 (Tellarknights, Shaddolls, Qliphorts,....), the only way to find the art is to crop manually the pics, or to pick them from the internet. I found a Tumblr about arts of Yugioh, that may be really useful. The thing is : am I in right to pick the images and post it here, even if i put the source in the description file ?
I sent a message to the Tumblr author, and hopefully he'll reply. --Yes42 (talkcontribs) 19:17, May 29, 2017 (UTC)
My preference is to not use fan-made images or the least possible adulterated. In the sense of I'd prefer using card images for them, instead of cropped card art images. I also would prefer it to be like this on archetype/series pages, before you mention it. However, some admins back me up, others differ. Will ask them and get back at you. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 19:26, May 29, 2017 (UTC)
Well, just crop the images for now, yes. Or fetch them from somewhere else, but the simplest (less adulterated) they are, the better. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 22:22, May 30, 2017 (UTC)
I tried to attempt to do so (underconsturction), but I encoutered some problems :
  • First, i feel like there is too much text. Organize the thread as you suggested seems really difficult. A lot of archetypes are interacting together, and the thread cannot be done whithout lost the sense of the story. I don't really see how you want to organize it... More images and descriptions with less text, like this?
  • Another thing is that I used up the cropped images, but i didn't put any licensing on their files (since i picked them from Google...). I have no right to do this, even if it is to illustrate the Wikia ; i don't have the permission of the author. Should i include a source link in their description file ?
Hopefully i'm clear - Thanks!!--Yes42 (talkcontribs) 19:38, May 31, 2017 (UTC)
Honestly, just organize it as you feel better about it. People will give you a hand here and there. It's good to try to keep it in a similar manner as the previous ones, but just adapt it; feel free.
As for the images, well, they come from the cards' arts. So even if people cropped them without properly license them... At least enter Fair use, I'd say. The authors aren't the ones that cropped them.
I've fixed a few things, but it's a good start. If you prefer, you can create a sub-page for you so you can test stuff there, as you wish. When it's ready, move it to the main namespace.
Keep it up! Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 21:10, May 31, 2017 (UTC)

If I may, Yes, (figured I'd just add to the conversation rather than creating a new one) the lore of "Qliphort Scout" may need to be taken into account regarding the Systems.

Booting in Replica Mode…
An error has occurred when executing C:\sophia\zefra.exe
Unknown publisher.
Allow C:\tierra\qliphort.exe ? <Y/N>…[Y]
Booting in Autonomy Mode…

It does seem to imply that the localized System names would be Zefra and Qliphort rather than Sefiroth and Qliphoth (or whatever the exact spellings for the Japaense versions are). Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 20:58, June 4, 2017 (UTC)

Hi, sorry i didn't saw your message. Well, it seems good for me to add it in its section, but let's first discuss it with admins/discuss page.
Becasita, I've finished and I think your inspection will be necessary. I added all the arts, but I cannot find some of them (mostly at the end). Also, some other cards were'nt listed in the source topic, but I guess can find a place : Shaddoll Hound (counterpart of Satellarknight Sirius), and Zefra Path. Moreover, some sections aren't necessary, such as "User:Yes42/Sandbox#Warriors of Light, "Yang Zings" Materialized by "Sombre", "The Eight Channelled Dragunity" or "The Ten Chosen Zefra". What do you think about it ?
If there is something wrong with the artworks, the display or anything else, please tell me.--Yes42 (talkcontribs) 19:47, June 9, 2017 (UTC)
You can feel free to follow any suggestions people give you. Likewise, Sanokal, you can also add it yourself there, if you want.
At a first glance, seems nice. There are some section headers centered, when others are aligned at the left. Not sure if intentional. One other thing is that you should start with using level 2 section headers (e.g., ==Header==), instead of level 3 ones (e.g., ===Header===), but that's not a big deal.
I confess I haven't read the full story yet, so I can't comment much on the displayed images and what to show. Although I think it would be better to confine ourselves to what's shown by the official stuff. So if they don't feature an image, we shouldn't too, I'd say. For the "Warriors of Light" section, well, I don't see a problem with it. Pretty vague, but it exists.
As for the card images you're using, you can simply crop them and upload their art. Erdvilla uploaded some superb quality images, mostly Korean, so maybe you can find there top notch quality images to crop the artwork from (like ZefraProvidence-MACR-KR-R-1E.png). Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 21:19, June 10, 2017 (UTC)
Fine, I'll replace it with h2. It was intentional for the un/centered headers, but I'll align them to the left. Thanks for all the other points, I took note of it.
Some sections are displaying in a weird form, since I added the "full-desc" parameters ; like "Battle to the Death at Void". Should I remove it ?--Yes42 (talkcontribs) 22:19, June 10, 2017 (UTC)
You don't need to replace all with h2. But increasing one level on each header might be good, since it also increases the congruence with the other card storylines pages (they use h2 as the highest header, on the editable content). As for the alignment, you don't need to just use one; you just need to have a sturdy criteria. For instance, you could make the left ones h2 and the centered ones h3. I think that's the idea you wanted to pass, no? Like, the centered ones being sub-sections of the lefted ones. At least, it seems that the centered ones are at a lower level than the lefted ones. So yeah, that'd be my suggestion.
Yeah, the fulldesc parameter makes them look unaligned. I've tried to make it look better, at that section. If you don't like them, just remove the parameter, then. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 22:58, June 10, 2017 (UTC)
Thanks, that's better with the parameter. I corrected some things, and the thread seems finished in my opinion. Should I put it to the main space, or do you see other things to replace ?--Yes42 (talkcontribs) 11:41, June 11, 2017 (UTC)
Yep, I suppose you can place it in the main space. People will bump into it and correct/suggest stuff, if needed. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 13:10, June 11, 2017 (UTC)

That picture

the roids picture is from a card, so I think we should have it, thats just my opinion.--Troly (talkcontribs) 22:11, June 4, 2017 (UTC)

Darkness OTK

I should probably explain myself. If you've seen Black Metal Dragon's tip page, then you know that it can be used to perform an OTK in the Traditional Format. It involves Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy of the End. See, while you control it and Meteor Black Comet Dragon, you would use CED's effect to cleanse the field and hands. Due to Meteor Black Comet Dragon's effect, you would summon Red-Eyes Black Dragon from your Graveyard, and Black Metal Dragon would add Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon from your Deck to your hand. After summoning Darkness, you would attack directly with it for an OTK.

I was attempting to make a legal version of the "Darkness OTK", so that if/when Chaos Emperor Dragon gets his erratum in the TCG, the OTK could still be performed. According to you and UltimateKuriboh, Gandora will not be helpful. In that case, do you have any better ways on performing the OTK? Any other cards that can help? Any at all?RedEyesBurn69 (talkcontribs) 12:22, June 5, 2017 (UTC)

It won't necessarily go into an OTK. I prefer avoiding these tips, where you add tons of stuff, but requires specific set-ups. I mean, I confess that one wasn't particularly complicated to do, but... It still needs some turns for you to get into it, I think.
The "Gandora" one... You need to Normal Summon it and still have fodder for the others and an equip card, that isn't searchable unless you give up your Normal Summon... Too situational.
Nope, no suggestions, from the top of my head. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 12:53, June 5, 2017 (UTC)

REDD OTK

How is the Black Metal Dragon tip not viable? And yes, I am aware that some Monsters can negate attacks or end the Battle Phase outright by banishing themselves from the Graveyard. I know that an OTK is not guaranteed, but it can still leave your opponent in a deadly situation. Even if they do survive your turn, they might have to rely on Top-Decking.

I'm going to try a Deck with Magical Merchant later on. A Cyberdark OTK Deck has been made with MM before. But for now, I'd like to know what the cons of the Darkness OTK are.RedEyesBurn69 (talkcontribs) 13:21, June 5, 2017 (UTC)

Either it's Traditional, where there's way more overpowered stuff running around, or it's the erattad version, which the combo doesn't work with. If Chaos Emperor Dragon nukes the field, you can't activate anything else for the rest of the turn. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 20:39, June 5, 2017 (UTC)

The Basis For My OTK

You said earlier that the Darkness OTK may take a while to perform. I'm actually trying to make a Darkness OTK Deck. The basis for it is not only sending Dragons from the Deck to the Graveyard(Red-Eyes Fusion, Future Fusion, Painful Choice, etc.), but also rapidly drawing cards. And to ensure that REDD is in your Deck when Chaos Emperor Dragon uses its Nuke effect, the Deck contains Magical Mallet and Reload. Basically, send Monsters from the Deck to the Graveyard, and draw like crazy. So this One Turn Kill doesn't and shouldn't take as much time as you believe. RedEyesBurn69 (talkcontribs) 20:57, June 5, 2017 (UTC)

If you're trying to make the OTK; please do it first, test it, and only then, if it works consistently, you can add the tips. Most of stuff works better in our heads.
I remember when I built my first decks. No simulators to test them, I just searched cards in on the wiki and everything looked great, what a powerful deck I was building. I built it, played against my friend, bricked like hell. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 23:33, June 5, 2017 (UTC)

I GOT IT! I GOT IT!!

I finally figured out a legal version of the Red-Eyes Darkness OTK! Equip REDD with Conjoined Bird Renrin. Then Normal Summon Debris Dragon, and summon a Level 3 Dragon from the Graveyard with its effect. Use them to Synchro Summon Black Rose Dragon, and use its Nuke effect. Renrin will be destroyed instead of REDD, so every card on the field will be destroyed except for REDD. Then attack directly with it for an OTK.RedEyesBurn69 (talkcontribs) 13:07, June 7, 2017 (UTC)

Dude, you can't perform that in one turn, at least not easily. You need to, somehow, have a "Red-Eyes B. Dragon" in order to Summon "Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon"; Special Summon "Conjoined Bird Renrin" to equip it; Normal Summon "Debris Dragon" while you have a Level 3 Dragon in the Grave (this is easy, yes). Providing the amount of steps you have here and the amount of negation there is out there... Even without accounting for that, you still need to have all of that set-up or the exact cards to allow all those Summons... Not viable. At least enough to list it on a tips page. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 22:18, June 7, 2017 (UTC)

Uploading card images

Huh, I'm pretty sure I did tag the jpg versions of images for deletion after uploading the png versions. I'm also pretty sure that I entered the template into the summary box which you were referring to, as seen [here]. Maybe, I'm confusing something you said, but everything seems in order to me, as far as I'm aware. (06:48, June 8, 2017 (UTC))

Well, given that I used to put in the licensing in the past when uploading card images, I guess it became force of habit. I'll keep it in mind for next time, thanks. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 02:39, June 9, 2017 (UTC))

My YCM card template

So it won't work they way I made it do, huh? Too bad.

Yes, I noticed YCM misses a lot of vital stuff, that's why I had to make everything manually (and also because my coding abilities are still moderate), and since I'm not an admin there, I'm no sure how far I can go playing around with the fuctions of the wiki. Do I need to be one to install those? --XBrain130™エックスブレーン130」 08:30, June 11, 2017 (UTC)

GOT IT!!

I did it! I figured out a legal version of my Red-Eyes Darkness OTK! While you already control Meteor Black Comet Dragon, Black Metal Dragon(Unless you already have Darkness in your hand, which contains 7 cards, including Darkness) and a face-up Forced Requisition, activate Final Destiny, destroying every card on the field, and ridding your opponent's hand of 5 cards, possibly leaving them handless.

Use MBCD to summon Red-Eyes Black Dragon from your Graveyard. If Black Metal Dragon was also sent, use its effect to add REDD to your hand. Special Summon Darkness, and then attack your opponent directly for an OTK.

And yes, I am aware of how situational this appears to be. That is why the Deck revolves around Deck Thinning, through dumping Dragons to the Graveyard, and rapidly drawing cards. Because of the hand size part of the OTK, I plan on adding Infinite Cards to the Deck, in case BMD is not needed. And Yamata Dragon will serve as a bit of a Draw Engine, as I will use its effect to constantly fill my hand. Precious Cards from Beyond and Return of the Red-Eyes can create a small controlled Loop in which I repeatedly summon Normal Dragons from the Graveyard, and use them to Tribute Summon Yamata Dragon, drawing two cards in the process. And the Deck WILL have Spiritual Energy Settle Machine in it; That loop is just until I can get it. —This unsigned comment was made by RedEyesBurn69 (talkcontribs) 14:56, June 13, 2017‎ (UTC)

Good, mate. But this is not about how situational it appears to be. This is situational. This seems too theoretical. If you can pull this off, great. But consistently? Enough to list this as a tip or an OTK? You need to contain 7 cards in your hand, while you already control stuff, specific cards in your hand, one of which is the unsearchable "Force Requisition" and "Final Destiny", setup in the Grave (though this is easy). You probably won't even make use of "Infinite Cards", in the sense you'll rarely have more than 6 cards in your hand during the End Phase and still make it. "Yamata" is cool, yes, but not as searchable. And you still need to assure the fodder for it and waste your Normal Summon on it (though I guess you don't need it that much in "Red-Eyes"). And relying on even more Continuous Spells/Traps that do not float/have embedded protection... I mean, it's a cool combo, but... You're not making me buying it yet.
Also please don't forget to sign your name. Thank you. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 23:09, June 13, 2017 (UTC)

Trap Card Usage

I'm perfectly aware of how Trap Cards work thank you. There's nothing in the rules that mention what you've said. If this is how they work, why do some actually specify it like Ultimate Offering? That'd be redundant. --MasterMarik (talkcontribs) 23:06, June 13, 2017 (UTC)

No you're not, or else we wouldn't be discussing this.
Trap Cards are Spell Speed 2 or higher. They can be activated (and their effects) during either player's turn. Some need to trigger at specific timings. If they don't require a specific timing, then you're good to go, during either player's turn, like other Spell Speed 2 cards. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 23:11, June 13, 2017 (UTC)
Ah, forgot to reply to your other question. "Ultimate Offering" says that so you can only use it during the opponent's Battle Phase. That means you can't use it during your opponent's Draw/Standby/Main/End Phases. Just like you can only use it during your own Main Phases and not at other timings. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 23:32, June 13, 2017 (UTC)

Search category names

Yes, I could rename the categories in question, but I'll probably have to ask you to use your bot to change the cards I tagged with the category names to the new names should the categories be moved. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 14:11, June 14, 2017 (UTC))

Well, I could rename the categories and then manually change the category tags on the individual articles, but if you could use your bot, that would be appreciated. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 05:37, June 15, 2017 (UTC))
Thanks for doing the moves for the categories, I've been terribly busy recently and that curtailed the time I had to edit the wiki of late. Anyway, I did want to mention that a duplicate category exists as Places from Deck to top of Deck. I did intend to mention it earlier, but it kind of slipped my mind, with my workload in real life and all that. What do we do with this category? Would it be deleted, or is there any other use for it? (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 22:55, June 29, 2017 (UTC))
Oh, I've already changed the cards that are tagged with that duplicate category to the new one a while ago, I believe it was when I created the new category, in fact. So, I suppose you could delete it now, if you're free? If not, I'll tag it for deletion. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 23:00, June 29, 2017 (UTC))

Cyber Jar

I'd just like to reiterate that I'm trying not to do anything situational. About Cyber Jar...actually, I HAVE done that tip before. I ended up excavating "The Shallow Grave" with its effect multiple times, or drawing it with other cards' effects, and using it to bring back "Cyber Jar" 2 or 3 times, usually over the span of 2 or 3 turns. When that happened, I'd use a Virus(Sometimes Viruses) to wipe out a good portion of their cards. I didn't think this was situational or overcomplicated because this actually happened to ME.RedEyesBurn69 (talkcontribs) 20:31, June 14, 2017 (UTC)

"over the span of 2 or 3 turns", too much time. A tip relying on you being able to sit there waiting... No, just no. Try to be more concise, with stuff that works more quickly and more often than 2 or 3 times. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 22:48, June 14, 2017 (UTC)

Set Card List Issue

Seems like we have a problem with the new list system and lets like the Legendary Deck series. Not sure if the header function we use for galleries is going to cut it. PhotonLegion95 (talkcontribs) 17:33, June 15, 2017 (UTC)

nvm, Metaman fixed it already. PhotonLegion95 (talkcontribs) 17:37, June 15, 2017 (UTC)

Re: Pointing Flip

I did it because of this list, to show which monsters have Flip effects, and only edited those monsters. "Needle Worm" was already like that, so I just put in the same way. --Missign0 (talkcontribs) 04:38, June 18, 2017 (UTC)

OK. --Missign0 (talkcontribs) 22:51, June 18, 2017 (UTC)

Queue

Hi, I am uploading PNG pictures to the DP04 KR gallery, and when I wanted to start adding the JPG to PNG files to change once all are uploaded; I don't see the Queue anywhere. Was it removed during the site update, or were my mover rights removed? Yeah, seems my mover rights were revoked (dunno why thou). But in any case, if you make me a mover again I'll update all those jpg files to use the new png one I've just finished uploading; otherwise you could do it yourself, they are in the DP04-KR UE gallery, simply look for the ones using JPG and switch them to PNG as all have my files available now. Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 16:52, July 2, 2017 (UTC)

Hi there.
So, to start, you're still a mover. Even if you weren't, you could still make use of that part of the queue.
My guess would be that since FANDOM updated the page layout, the script no longer find it place on the page. However, it seems it was update already, so I don't know, but will try to find out. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 17:39, July 2, 2017 (UTC)
Hi. I see it's fixed and back in place, at the bottom of the Edit menu. Good because this week I plan on doing a complete DP06-KR upgrade from all jpgs to all pngs. So with it back I can now do a proper job of uploading all and then a single Queue magic trick to turn the pngs into the used ones. Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 20:15, July 4, 2017 (UTC)
Sorry for the late reply, but haven't been having internet connection. Good to know everything's alright. Thanks for the pics! Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 13:50, July 6, 2017 (UTC)
Left you a message on my talk concerning an individual card. Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 20:54, July 6, 2017 (UTC)
Done, 1st and 2nd waves complete! ...except for #55; yup, pulled 101 out of 102, including both the Mage and Dragon, but didn't pulled the 55 ¬¬ So if you can get it from somewhere it would be nice to have the gallery complete (I have some unopened Wave 2 boxes, but not gonna open them just to look for just 1 card when I already have the rarest ones). Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 21:19, July 6, 2017 (UTC)

Different topic, but doesn't need a new section. Is it just me, or the July 7th 2017 calendar entry "Japanese release date for Circuit Break Set." is a duplicated one from the July 8th one "Japanese release date for Circuit Break."? Or are they different product presentations? I think the "Set" one might be a simple error and needs to be deleted; but I personally don't want to simply Edit and delete it before consulting because I don't want to mess up things if I am wrong. So I leave it to you to clear that up. Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 19:35, July 11, 2017 (UTC)

The "Set" one refers to this. It seems it's some sort of promo, that contains multiple CIBR boosters. So it's not a mistake. It just needs a page for it in here. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 19:52, July 11, 2017 (UTC)

LastEdited in the page header

Hi Becastia. I am writing to you as the most recent active editor of MediaWiki:Common.js. With the recent updates to the customization policy related to the page header, having the "LastEdited" data display for all users under the page title is no longer permitted. Can you remove that from Common.js? It's fine to leave it active in Monobook, and of course it's fine for any user to add it to their personal customizations. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks! -BertH <staff /> (help forum | blog) 20:42, July 5, 2017 (UTC)

Hello there.
Alright, understood. Removed. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 13:50, July 6, 2017 (UTC)

Response Re:Comments on User_talk:FishTank

Since I've been mentioned on that page, I think it's only fair to lay the cards on the table as they look currently.
As FishTank has alluded to, Portable Infoboxes are coming. The Admin Team has two choices in the matter: adapt, or to not adapt. That's the situation boiled down to its simplest elements.
By adapting now, you stand a good chance of being able to work with the syntax to maintain the templates in the future, and continuing to work on the behemoth source of information that this wiki has become.
By refusing to adapt, you risk being left behind as technology outpaces you. It also means you become less valuable as members of the Admin team; if wiki contributors come along later that are proficient with the new syntax, and they are willing to invest time into maintaining this wiki, then you or others may be replaced with individuals who are objectively a better fit for the direction of the wiki going forward.
They didn't work good, we don't want more. We both know that this doesn't matter, so what do you mean with " to see how well they worked for you"? Does this matter? What was the idea? Starting some and leave the others? Because I won't make use of time there to create PIs.
Oh, I beg to differ that they didn't work. Sure, some things got missed off initially, but they were corrected as soon as they were reported, and you know that.
But for people who put their effort to shape the wiki and make it a better place in terms of experiencing/accessibility/usability/whatever other stuff, this matters; because you might be destroying not only their work, but opportunities for them. I don't think that's the best approach, because, in the end, if it weren't those people, the wiki would probably look not as good.
You oppose PIs. You are actively working against improving the user experience. You have no right to speak on behalf of the people improving this wiki when you refuse to do so.
People do adapt to change and that's how the world evolves. But not like this, with stuff being shoved like that, when there are possibly better ideas that aren't being taken into account.
To repeat FishTank's words, please tell me of these "better ideas" you know of. At the moment, all I see from you in any media is complaining; anybody can do that, and without suggestions, your complaining is little better than white noise.
But, let's take a step back for a moment, and examine where my personal interest lies. My interest is in ensuring that the content on this wiki can be reached by the widest possible audience. That means making changes. Right now, you are directly impeding those changes.
In every one of my experiences with speaking to users, they have expressed a desire for content to be mobile-friendly. I was in Des Moines, IA recently, and I happened to have a conversation with two GameStop employees who happened to be massive Yu-Gi-Oh! fans. They confirmed that not having mobile-friendly content is a frustrating experience. On Reddit, the lack of mobile support has been a constant gripe from users, and many users have demonstrated frustration that changes are made to other areas of the wiki without mobile support being improved first.
A good friend recently reminded me that a Wiki's admin team has an obligation to work in the best interests of its users. Right now, I see you acting in self-interest, because this means a change to what you have to learn. At no point has there been a genuine concern raised for the users.
So, Becasita, given your statements so far, a simple choice awaits you: To work with me, or to not work with me, in improving the user experience. If you accept, I'm more than happy to walk through the PI syntax with you, and work on page and template prototypes. If you refuse, you may consider yourself on notice that your services may be, eventually, no longer required.--TwoTailedFox (talk) 08:32, July 7, 2017 (UTC)
As FishTank has alluded to [...] who are objectively a better fit for the direction of the wiki going forward.

Ok, to start, you need to understand the discussion is not about reverting the PIs from here. But you are catching the discussion half way, so you couldn't know.

Oh, I beg to differ that they didn't work. Sure, some things got missed off initially, but they were corrected as soon as they were reported, and you know that.

Of course you beg to differ. You probably didn't notice a quarter of the issues we were having. Wrong SMW properties being assigned (broken queries; lack of results), bad design (some of those were fixed by you because I pointed them to you), spacing problems (that I also tried to take care of). And people pointed some of these on the general chat on our Discord server, but you either ignored or missed them. In any case, it seems you only made the effort to fix stuff in case someone would point it. Which translates to dropping the PIs and let people "unshit" themselves; it seems you didn't care about it much. At least that's the feeling you passed onto me. Maybe you passed it to other people as well. By the way, these messages to FishTank already have more than two weeks; stuff happened in the meantime; e.g., fixes on the PIs.

You oppose PIs. You are actively working against improving the user experience. You have no right to speak on behalf of the people improving this wiki when you refuse to do so.

Don't be so small minded. PIs are not the only way to improve user experience. Or better, it is, indeed, because FANDOM want's it be that way. The discussion was about this; about improving the user experience. You're taking the same attitude you took on the Call of Duty wiki; people saying one thing and you saying another, refusing to acknowledge people's words. Please don't be like that. I was just talking with FishTank about how we could improve the experience and why PIs would be the only way.

To repeat FishTank's words, please tell me of these "better ideas" you know of. At the moment, all I see from you in any media is complaining; anybody can do that, and without suggestions, your complaining is little better than white noise.

I (and tons of other people) already suggested a thing or two. CSS on mobile, JS, more customization. This is not a new thing. FANDOM doesn't want that. On the FANDOM universe, I have no other suggestions; even if I had, FANDOM would make it so may suggestions would be rendered useless, of course. Because if they want to implement the PIs, then, since they are in charge, they implement the PIs. I'm perfectly aware of this. We both are.

But, let's take a step back for a moment, and examine where my personal interest lies. My interest is in ensuring that the content on this wiki can be reached by the widest possible audience. That means making changes. Right now, you are directly impeding those changes.

I can't see how, since I've tried to come up with templates and all and it did look better. Again, if CSS was allowed, for instance, oh, I could do way better than the PIs; more control. And I'm not even an expert on the matter. Example: Does this look bad to you? And that's just a sloppy draft. Doesn't look much worse than this, does it? But now just look to those for desktop. I'm not sacrificing desktop experience. Both mobile and non-mobile experiences are important.

You don't say. How curious. I've heard the YGO community complaining about that too. And I tried to improve it. And my draft template for the real cards doesn't look bad on mobile and I took that into consideration. It simply isn't a PI, so it's bad for you, since you guys can't throw videos, ads or whatever you want into the top, middle, bottom, wherever, of it. Believe me: If I weren't here to try to improve UX for mobile, I wouldn't be having this discussion, that's for sure.

A good friend recently reminded me that a Wiki's admin team has an obligation to work in the best interests of its users. Right now, I see you acting in self-interest, because this means a change to what you have to learn. At no point has there been a genuine concern raised for the users.

Excuse me, but I am a volunteer who likes to contribute. If I have the time, I'll contribute; if I don't, well, I just won't. This simple. I have no obligation to do this and that. I'm not acting in self-interest. Sure, I'd have to learn new things, but I love to learn new things! And you know that. I just don't like the PIs, I don't have to like everything, do I? I tried, I experimented with them; I didn't sympathize with them. This might change; might not. We'll see.

So, Becasita, given your statements so far, a simple choice awaits you: To work with me, or to not work with me, in improving the user experience. If you accept, I'm more than happy to walk through the PI syntax with you, and work on page and template prototypes. If you refuse, you may consider yourself on notice that your services may be, eventually, no longer required.

So, an ultimatum, is it? Of course I want to improve user experience! Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 13:38, July 7, 2017 (UTC)

Ok, to start, you need to understand the discussion is not about reverting the PIs from here. But you are catching the discussion half way, so you couldn't know.

"I'm going to dismiss your argument, instead of directly addressing the point that Portable Infoboxes are not going away."

Perhaps you could tell me where I can pick up my Clairvoyance degree?

Discord has a PM system. Are you seriously telling me that you'd let something fester rather than send me a PM? Are you that obsessed with trying to sabotage my efforts? Many of the problems I've encountered are the direct consequences of the needlessly complex way the previous templates have been designed. Seriously, who's bright idea was it to assign custom variable names to template variables that never ended up being displayed in anything other than the original way the variable was passed to the template?

Don't be so small minded. PIs are not the only way to improve user experience. Or better, it is, indeed, because FANDOM want's it be that way. The discussion was about this; about improving the user experience. You're taking the same attitude you took on the Call of Duty wiki; people saying one thing and you saying another, refusing to acknowledge people's words. Please don't be like that. I was just talking with FishTank about how we could improve the experience and why PIs would be the only way.

Yes, FANDOM does want it to be that way. You need to feed back ideas on how to improve the user experience within the confines of what they have laid down, otherwise you're just going to get your feedback tuned out as "We've already said this isn't happening, why didn't you listen the first time?"

Please provide me examples of people saying one thing, and me saying another on CoD Wiki.

If you have no other suggestions, then please keep repeating old ones. The answer won't change.

I can't see how, since I've tried to come up with templates and all and it did look better. Again, if CSS was allowed, for instance, oh, I could do way better than the PIs; more control. And I'm not even an expert on the matter. Example

You're being disingenuous; you are comparing a template that is years old with a rough proof-of-concept draft. But, then again, you knew that.

If I weren't here to try to improve UX for mobile, I wouldn't be having this discussion, that's for sure.

And you refuse to work with PIs, which is now the FANDOM Infobox standard; until you do, you have no basis to complain when things do not look right.

Excuse me, but I am a volunteer who likes to contribute. If I have the time, I'll contribute; if I don't, well, I just won't. This simple. I have no obligation to do this and that. So, work within the confines of the PI code as laid down by FANDOM. That is how the user experience is, and will be going forward, improved.--TwoTailedFox (talk) 20:32, July 7, 2017 (UTC)

You're being disingenuous; you are comparing a template that is years old with a rough proof-of-concept draft. But, then again, you knew that.

I didn't get this. Both the templates are recent and both are rough drafts. But this doesn't matter, was just an example on my part.

As for the rest, I really don't want to comment. Not for now, at least. Lots of tension going on between you and me at the moment. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 21:23, July 7, 2017 (UTC)

Tuner Normal Monster

Well, I named it that for consistency with Tuner Synchro Monster and Tuner Pendulum Monster. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 17:23, July 8, 2017 (UTC))

Well, if that's what you think, then that's fine. We all have our opinions, after all. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 19:08, July 8, 2017 (UTC))
Admittedly, I'm not too concerned about the name of the category itself. The reason I did tag all the pages with the category name individually is because well, as you can see, simply having the category catalog all monsters with both the Normal Monster and Tuner traits causes a bunch of manga cards that are not Normal Tuner monsters to appear in the category. Not sure how to fix that at the moment. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 05:43, July 14, 2017 (UTC))
Sorry about the late response, the matter slipped my mind for a while. I think it brings up the question as to whether or not certain cards like Absolute King Back Jack (manga) and Blackwing - Sharnga the Waning Moon are Normal Tuner Monsters when they seem to have effects that affect the game and would more logically be classified as Effect Monsters. The latter was even written as an Effect Monster on its page (which is probably speculative on the part of the editor who did it rather than any such mention in the duel where it was played itself) and yet still wound up in the Normal Tuner monster category. Of course, given that it's black and white, the manga is pretty bad at demonstrating if a given card is an Effect monster or not. Do we therefore automatically consider all monsters with effects in the manga to be Effect Monsters because that's the way things are in the OCG/TCG and anime, or is it really anyone's guess (other than the writers) as to a manga card's status as an Effect monster or lack thereof? (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 19:33, August 14, 2017 (UTC))
Yes, it should be a logical matter, but then again, the manga does so many bizarre things where cards are concerned that I'm just not 100% sure anymore. Anyway, I think the real issue is that even if you slap an "/Effect" label on the pages of manga Tuner monsters with effects, they still show up in the Normal Tuner monster category, when going by your logic, they shouldn't. I even just experimented with a few such pages to reach that observation. Not sure how to fix that problem though. (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 19:48, August 14, 2017 (UTC))

Editing Issue

So you think I'm doing all this just to provoke you? You seem to forget that this whole thing started because you assumed there was going to be another edit war, without even thinking of asking me to stop because you assumed I would complain. All you've done is make assumptions and excuses while try to justify yourself for what you did, conveniently leaving out the part you played in this mess. --ArcVRains (talkcontribs) 19:31, July 16, 2017 (UTC)

This discussion is closed. Please forget it. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 22:08, July 16, 2017 (UTC)
See, this is what I mean. You seem to have no problem pointing out how you were in the right and I was wrong, but failed to realize that your paranoia over the Lancers is what caused this discussion in the first place. --ArcVRains (talkcontribs) 12:32, July 28, 2017 (UTC)
In all fairness, the Lancers page is a magnet for trouble. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 06:06, July 30, 2017 (UTC)
The issue isn't even about the page itself anymore; it's how she handled it. Becasita practically admitted she threatened to block my new account because she assumed I would have complained if she had messaged me. Ironically enough, if she had just done that, we wouldn't even be having this discussion right now. --ArcVRains (talkcontribs) 19:29, July 31, 2017 (UTC)
Not only that, but now she's trying to avoid the issue altogether and has accused me of doing this just to harass her. And she says I'm rude? Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. --ArcVRains (talkcontribs) 03:52, August 1, 2017 (UTC)
I'm not going to stop until we resolve this issue. --ArcVRains (talkcontribs) 17:29, August 15, 2017 (UTC)

Monster template

I noticed the monster template has changed. Are we still not going to use it, or can we use it in featured duel summaries? KyrusDarkblade244 (talkcontribs) 04:40, July 30, 2017 (UTC)

Nah, we're not using it any longer. Sanokal K-T (talkcontribs) 06:06, July 30, 2017 (UTC)

SOD "Null and Void"

I'm wondering if SOD-EN057 should be changed in the listings to "Muko" (as "Null and Void"). Because I've seen that made for other cards that were renamed like "Harpie's Brother" which in older sets lists appears as "Sky Scout" (as "Harpie's Brother").

In the other languages it already appears as "Muko" in the lists, but doesn't have the (as "Null and Void") so maybe that also needs editing.

I leave it up to you; I accidentally stumbled onto that card and remembered something about its name change, that is why I realized it was still unchanged in the English list. Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 20:29, July 30, 2017 (UTC)

I'd say no, there. The card released on SOD (printed on its list) was, quote, "Null and Void". The card now is named "Muko". On the other languages for SOD, we can point it as "Muko", though. Analogous for other cards. At least this has been how I've been doing it. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 21:33, July 30, 2017 (UTC)

update links

how do you update links when the dub name is reveled you somehow are able to update links from Area arc project > Arc project your impressive (Lionel Head (talkcontribs) 14:04, July 31, 2017 (UTC))

I have a bot account named BecaBot. If you mean file links (images, etc.), you'd need to be a mover. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 21:07, July 31, 2017 (UTC)

Minor error

Hi, this card http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Gravity_Lash under the TCG tabs has the wrong number COTD-EN034 (and all other TCG numbers as well are under the 34) it should be 63 instead. Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 16:33, August 4, 2017 (UTC)

Oh, sorry, just saw this now, I think. It was fixed in the meantime, but you could fix it too, no need to ask for it. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 19:31, August 8, 2017 (UTC)

A not-so-important doubt

Aside from Yugioh, and Tazos :P I also collect coins from all over the World; have a decent collection which I am proud of. So, of course I had to buy these two coins that marriage two of said hobbies:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2016-Yu-Gi-Oh-Silver-Coin-Yami-Yugi-AND-Seto-Kaiba-1-OZ-Silver-Proof-Coins-/222190905587?hash=item33bb9c28f3:g:~qUAAOSwsTxXjSIe

So, I am wondering, does a page exists for them on the wikia? If not, could it be added (by you) or it doesn't fit for the site? Because it ain't KONAMI product, but it is licensed Yugioh! Product and made by a Country, not just a store who buys licensing for toys or special cards.

Note: I HATE colored coins, but had to make and exception for those 2. Luckily they are silver, so even if the coloring is not my forte, I still love good old silver. Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 15:57, August 8, 2017 (UTC)

It's an official Yu-Gi-Oh! product, isn't it? So we do care about it.
Believe me: you are way more indicated than me to create such page. Please just go ahead and feel free to add it. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 19:29, August 8, 2017 (UTC)
No idea how to create a page like that, wouldn't know how to add categories, and such, never had created a page which doesn't have a similar one already (copy, paste and replace new info). Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 20:25, August 8, 2017 (UTC)
To create a page, just go to the top of the screen there's a button there. You can also just link to it (it will be a red link) and click on it to start working on the article.
Just look to other similar pages, then. I don't have time now, nor I would know what to write and how to format it. I'd simply try, then other editors would polish it. Just go for it. Don't worry too much. Even if I had the time, you need to go for it, man. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 20:54, August 8, 2017 (UTC)
Ok, I'll try. Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 21:59, August 8, 2017 (UTC)

Archseries templates

Hi, what happened to the archseries templates, they aren't working. --Missign0 (talkcontribs) 18:10, August 12, 2017 (UTC)

Our wiki is currently experiencing several problems, mainly related with SMW. Staff is already aware. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 18:26, August 12, 2017 (UTC)
By the way, do you use the Monobook skin? That skin is having way more problems than the default one. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 18:28, August 12, 2017 (UTC)
Yes I do. Well, it's just a matter of time for it to be fixed, so that's fine. --Missign0 (talkcontribs) 21:43, August 12, 2017 (UTC)

SP17 & 17SP

Do you think it would be a good idea to leave a "Not to be confused" note in both pages?

Star Pack Battle Royal & Special Pack

Because of their prefixes being so similar, just reversed SP17 and 17SP respectively. I mean, I did got confused while looking for the Japanese pack and wrote SP17 in the search as I've totally forgotten that is how Star packs get their prefixes. And had to look for an individual card in the 17SP set to realize that was their prefix. So a link in the description section might be useful to jump pages faster. Just saying. Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 15:09, August 13, 2017 (UTC)

Yeah, I suppose, if it causes confusion, it can be added.
Feel free to do it, you worry too much. If it's about something bigger, like a move or a merge, there, it's better to ask. In this case, it's fine. If it turns out it's not good, people might adapt or revert. Don't worry. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 19:21, August 14, 2017 (UTC)

Category retagging

If you are free, could you use your bot to change the category label "Changes Battle Positions" to "Changes battle positions" (note lack of capitalization). The move from the capitalized label to the non-capitalized one made quite a while back, but a large number of pages still retain the old label. I've been manually changing it where I see it, but after a while, it seems to make more sense to use a bot to do it. Also, I would like to request the same label change for "Prevents Battle Position changes" to "Prevents battle position changes" on card pages, since I believe a number of pages still retain the former label when they should be using the latter one. Lucafriz (talk contribs) (09:20, August 14, 2017 (UTC))

Alright, thanks. I guess that's another item I can scratch that off my "to-do" list on the wiki. Additionally, because of the new Match winners, I've created the new category "3+ Link Materials" to hold them and Borreload Dragon (better to do it now than when more such monsters debut) and renamed "Variable Link Materials" to "2+ Link Materials", in keeping with the current PSCT for how the materials are written. Should we rename similar categories like "2 or more Xyz Materials" to "2+ Xyz Materials", etc in light of new PSCT? (Lucafriz (talkcontribs) 19:33, August 14, 2017 (UTC))

One question for Tag Force card form images

If I find a card from a Tag Force game in card form, should I name it with the Tag Force game it first debuted in (such as finding a card form image from one of the first six Tag Forces in ARC-V Tag Force Special)?

It's good to be back on this wiki, but as part of our non-negotiable agreement, I will have to wait until next year before I can upload images or edit any galleries or images if I want to remain editing on this wiki (though I don't know if I have to wait until exactly after 21:45 next August 21 to begin editing galleries and images and uploading images again).Cardsknower (talkcontribs) 22:34, August 21, 2017 (UTC)

CP17 KR

Hi, could you please poke your bot with a stick to link the CP17-KR numbers with their card pages? They are all red, and hopefully the weekend after this one I should be uploading the card images, so it would be nice if the listings are all nice and blue. Thanks in advance. From the guy currently messing with old stuff Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 23:11, August 24, 2017 (UTC)

Hi there! Sure, sure. There are other sets that need that too. Thanks! Keep it up! Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 23:35, August 24, 2017 (UTC)
On another theme; do you know where I can find at least the Korean names (+lores would be a Plus) for the few cards missing them on SDK-K? Because the TCGSHOP doesn't have them in their DB, and without any images I cannot either look character by character and copy paste them (I know, not the best method, but at least it gets the job done as a last resource). Those few cards missing them on the SDK seem to have not been reprinted ever again, so they have to be from that Starter deck, which narrows possibilities to a single one. Proudly all Starters, Structures, Reprint packs all have their Korean info now, as well as all main sets from YGO, GX and AV (currently working on 5Ds, so that single deck bugs me). Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 20:32, August 27, 2017 (UTC)
card09.com seems to have a few.
Yeah, I've noticed your work. Thanks a lot for that! We were kinda low on Korean stuff and you've been having a great help! Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 20:37, August 27, 2017 (UTC)
Super! Thanks for that. SDK-K Completed! Now I can focus on 5Ds and then ZXL... and then the rarer TPs and AEs (the idea is to do everything else first so that only the cards that have no other prints than those packs remain), where I'll go as far as the internet databases allow me :P Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 21:03, August 27, 2017 (UTC)
You're welcome! I wish you good luck on your quest. And thanks again for all that work! Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 21:28, August 27, 2017 (UTC)

A minor error. Could you please fix these links for the Spell counter card; I link you to the gallery cuz that will be easier, Card Gallery:Spell Counter (card). If you click either the AT10 or AE08 numbers, they'll take you to the Spell counter definition page and not to the Spell Counter (card) page. So a minor tweak in their linking protocol should fix that, but as far as I know I cannot do that (never done it, dunno if I can even do it).--Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 00:48, August 29, 2017 (UTC)

Fixed. You can do it by clicking on it. Then it goes to the page. Then, on the top of that page, you'll see "Redirected from" and click on the link there again; that will get you to the redirect page. Otherwise, just add ?redirect=no to the url. Yu-Gi-Oh! EXELIXI Lists

I sincerely apologize in advance if I'm starting to give you a hard time with this. But I'd like you to unblock my lists exclusive for Yu-Gi-Oh! EXELIXI until I ask you to re-block the page again. There's a good reason for this: I thought that I was going to get right to writing the story (after I've drafted some cards for select characters, of course). But recently, my laptop screen has gotten some dead pixels that can't be repaired, and I'm hoping to get them fixed in September, once I can afford it. But if you could please unblock that page until I ask you to block it again, that would be great. Thank you. --Yes, it's PSYCHID! He talks! He does stuff! 03:24, August 27, 2017 (UTC)

I could do that (and probably leave it like that, now that you mention it); but the reason why I've been asking admins like you to protect is because I've made myself a resolution to make lists like those and actually stick with them, so that I won't have to say I'll be following "these lists", or "those lists" now that they're updated, you get the idea. I know it's good to be up-to-date with these things, but I don't want to make an annoying habit out of it. --Yes, it's PSYCHID! He talks! He does stuff! 12:48, August 27, 2017 (UTC)

No.29 Mannequin Cat

Hi. Today I opened my CP17 boxes, and finally confirmed first hand what I've suspected from watching YT openings of both the JP and KR product; the Number 29: Mannequin Cat is not a Common card, it has to be for sure a Normal Rare. Here I explain my evidence:

  • I've watched openings for the CP17-JP for 7, 4 & 1 boxes in video by 3 different persons; two of them (7 and 4 boxes) on release date as they live in Japan.
    • The total pull of No.29 was 2, 1 and 0 respectively.
  • Also watched on YT the opening of 5 Korean boxes by I guy I already linked to you in the past.
    • The pull for No.29 in this case was 3.
  • Today I opened 4 boxes; this is why I waited to tell you about this suspicion.
    • My No.29 pull was a mere 2 in total.

It doesn't take much to notice the pattern; a pull ratio of 1 in every 2 boxes. But I also made a count of each other of the common cards, and every Common had a pull of 12 up to 23 in total for the 4 boxes, so a good 3 to 6 per box, normal for a common. With only two exceptions; No.29 which has a pull of 0.5 per box, and Armityle the Chaos Phantom which had only 7, but still a near 2 per box average.

From my several Korean product openings I've noticed that Normal rares have an average of only 0 to 1 per box; and No.29 fits perfectly that average. So let me know if you concur, or if you have seen openings in where No.29 comes as much as any other common in a box. --Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 19:49, September 1, 2017 (UTC)

Hello there. I haven't seen any openings, but I trust you. If it is clear the pulls for it are way lower than for the regular Commons, then I guess it makes it a Normal Rare. In such case, feel free to change it! Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 21:45, September 2, 2017 (UTC)

I think something snapped

I was inputting the Korean stuff for the TP2, finished, and then decided to put the redirects for the red numbers, seems it worked, but now, the Korean names for the cards that had red numbers aren't visible; if I click on the numbers or names to see the Card page they are there (so the names and lores are available). I tried converting the list to the "Set list" format and got red errors on every one of those in the preview (Error: On «_type»; No card type available!), so didn't published of course. The same happens in the gallery.

So, any ideas?

Here the link to the list for faster reference: Set Card Lists:Tournament Pack: 2nd Season (OCG-KR) --Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 02:10, September 4, 2017 (UTC)

That's because the list and the gallery are using the old layout (hardcoded). So you need to change the name of the card on its link and on the template that gets the card name. If you just change it on the link, the card name template is still getting the name for the wrong page. I've converted it to the newer layout. Now, you might see some errors and the name still not showing. In that case, it's due to SMW. To solve this, just null edit the card page. To null edit, just click on "edit" and then publish without making any changes. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 03:05, September 4, 2017 (UTC)
Ok, let me strike that part, because I misread what you said. It was just the SMW issue. When you redirect a page to a card article (like you've done), the card article will lose all of its SMW properties (this is an issue we have due to how CT2 is implemented and how some extensions interact with SMW, it seems). One day, it'll be fixed. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 03:16, September 4, 2017 (UTC)
Yeah, thanks for working on it. And sorry for giving you extra work on such and old and forgotten list. TP1 has some red numbers for the Korean list as well, so if you want to fix those along the way it would be nice, if not, not a problem, they aren't THAT relevant when you can simply click the name right by the side of them. Tomorrow I'll look for the missing Korean info on that list to finish the TPs and then just 2 Main Zexal sets left. --Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 03:27, September 4, 2017 (UTC)
No probs!
I'd do those red links manually. No need to load my scripts and all. Ends up being faster manually.
Thanks for all your amazing effort! Keep it up! Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 16:19, September 4, 2017 (UTC)
Do you think if I manually redirect the new DP18-KR numbers to their card page there might be an issue like with the TP2 ones? Or is it best if your bot does it? Because they are 51 numbers and all are new, so it might be an easier and faster job just to tweak you bot for it.--Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 13:54, September 9, 2017 (UTC)
Don't worry, I can take care of that! You see, due to SMW interaction with CardTable2, after redirecting, you'd need to null edit the card page. Which means an addition of 51 null edits in that case. My bot, doesn't mind it :p Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 17:30, September 9, 2017 (UTC)

Resolve what Happened

The least you could do is admit you could have handled it differently instead of avoiding it. --ArcVRains (talkcontribs) 23:26, September 13, 2017 (UTC)

Your gonna keep ignoring me until I give up, aren't you? --ArcVRains (talkcontribs) 02:31, September 23, 2017 (UTC)

So your just gonna pretend you threatening to block my account, which was still new at the time, over two edits on the Lancers page because of your paranoia over an edit war that wasn't going to happen instead of, oh I don't know, asking me to stop didn't happen? --ArcVRains (talkcontribs) 19:19, October 11, 2017 (UTC)

About the videos

Please check this http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Special:UnusedVideos

Numeral Hunter (talkcontribs) 23:06, September 25, 2017 (UTC)

What's with it? They may not be in use, but they are still intelectual work of someone else. We will not allow (and will try to avoid) any copyright violation. We will just try to be correct on this. Besides, having them on your page will make them disappear from there. Which will mean we will never know they are not being used anywhere else. That's bad. So, thanks for letting me know. If you want, you can place those videos on appropriate pages. If you think they are useless/redundant, you can tag them for deletion or open a discussion on them, to see what fate to give them. Full sets with Red numbers

Hi. Could you please use your bot to redirect the red Korean numbers for the:

I don't know if for the CIBR one you'll wait until the TCG release to make your bot do all languages at once, so if that is the case, then no problem; otherwise it'd be nice to have them blue. Besides I'll upload the images in about 20 days, so no rush :P

Note: If you want, I could use this same topic to inform you of other full sets with red numbers if I stumble upon any, is that ok with you? Or would you prefer a new topic for every new find (not actively looking for them, and I think there aren't any really, except for new additions like those 2).

--Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 15:20, September 28, 2017 (UTC)

Hi Erdvilla! Thanks for letting me know! I haven't been here as much, so I haven't been able to keep an eye on everything.
I have a better idea. Instead of leaving a message everytime, you can just add the set to this page, first section. When I have the chance, I'll just peek there. Alright?
If there's other stuff you think my bot should do, either leave me a message or create/add to a section there as well. Don't be shy :p Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 21:53, September 28, 2017 (UTC)

Case Topper Set gallery

Hi. How do you write a Set Gallery for a Case Topper card?

Code of the Duelist: Giant Edition

There are previous sets of those, but they still use the old code, so I want to know if there is a way to write it down in the new format, because the card is SR, but also a Case Topper, so it has to have the KR-SR-UE-CT extension and show (CT) for rarity like the previous ones.

--Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 23:16, October 2, 2017 (UTC)

Hi! You could do it like:

But that wouldn't display exactly as you'd wish and wouldn't be pretty. I shall update the gallery module to accommodate for this kind of galleries when I have more time.
And we should really think of a better way to handle those galleries. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 13:31, October 3, 2017 (UTC)

But at least it gives the file the correct extensions, and doesn't look ugly, so it'll do until you can make that update. --Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 14:16, October 3, 2017 (UTC)

DP18 Image templates

Could you please fix (or add) the Templates for the DP18 Images?

I am uploading the set now, and seems the Template is missing because all end up with red text in where they should display the links to the Set and print.

Example:

Link Summoning...?

I just discovered Skulldeat, the Chained Dracoserpent. After taking a look at it, I'm a bit confused. It's a Link 4, which I don't mind. But it gains effects depending on how many monsters it was Link Summoned with. This is what's confusing me.

I thought that in order to Link Summon a monster, you needed the exact same number of monsters as its Link Rating(You can also use Link Monsters as multiple Link Materials equal to their Link Rating).

My question is if Link 4 monsters like Borreload Dragon, Firewall Dragon, and Skulldeat really can be Link Summoned with less than 4 monsters. If you can actually summon things like this with just a Gofu the Vague Shadow, then that's just absurd.Surfinbird42 (talkcontribs) 14:13, October 13, 2017 (UTC)

Hello there. Well, that's the way it is. I guess you replied to your own question. You can indeed use Link Monsters as "multiple" materials. But don't forget that in order to Summon that first Link Monster, you had to use multiple monsters for it. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 18:39, October 13, 2017 (UTC)

So the scenario I described CAN happen. Thanks. It can be hard to realize that there are differences between YGOPro and the real-life card game. And I will say that since Gofu IS a 1-card Firewall, Borreload, Decode Talker or whatever, I wouldn't be surprised if it got Limited in the TCG too.Surfinbird42 (talkcontribs) 02:06, October 14, 2017 (UTC)

Wait. If a Link Monster says it needs 3+ monsters: you still need to use 3 or more monsters, regardless. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 12:01, October 14, 2017 (UTC)

List of shelled monsters and the card rulings of Collected Power and Tailor of the Fickle

They are subjects without any relationship, but they're causing a confusion in my head for a while and no one answered me.

First, i was wandering in some FMR when i found a monster lore that linked this list http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Shell. Is there similar lists which explains the monsters from FMR that can be equipped with another equip spell cards? If not, cna i create one? And if yes, how can i do it? I searched and i didn't find anything. Now, about the Collected Power and Tailor of the Fickle Rulings Say for example, i have 1 "Destiny HERO - Plasma" and 1 "Relinquished" under my control and 1 of them is already equipped with a monster: can i use the Collected Power of Tailor of the Fickle to switch the monster being used as a Equip to the other monster? I know this is kinda noob from me to ask this, but the rulings won't explain this part of the rulings. --OnePiece (talkcontribs) 14:40, October 18, 2017 (UTC)

From Card Rulings:Collected Power#cite_note-OutofDate-1: "monsters treated as Equip Cards (except Union monsters equipped by their own effects) cannot have their equip target changed.". So no, you cannot.
As for the video game stuff, I'm not into it, so I can't give you an answer. I will point this to someone else. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 17:22, October 18, 2017 (UTC)

Replay:Image naming again

Hi. It is not like that I ignored your demand before. I just do not know how to change the extension name from PNG to png. Since Windows always deems them to be the same extension, and every time I try to rename my images' extension to png, it does not allow me.--Luma.dash (talkcontribs) 17:39, October 19, 2017 (UTC)

I assume you're talking about the Special:Upload method? If this is the case, then I'll try uploading through it from now and on.--Luma.dash (talkcontribs) 17:50, October 19, 2017 (UTC)
Through the Visual Editor and sometimes the source editor's upload modules.--Luma.dash (talkcontribs) 18:36, October 19, 2017 (UTC)
Yeah, I know that it is not always ideal to write in the Visual Editor (since it sometimes gives a side-effect), although it has some advantages. But even then, I usually check up with the source-editor that is built in it in order to eliminate such effects.
But, do you guys enforce a rule that says you must not use this editor, or that you just advise against it? I just do not want to step onto the red line everytime.--Luma.dash (talkcontribs) 18:50, October 19, 2017 (UTC)

Resolve What Happened

I'm not gonna stop til I get an apology for what happened. That's all I want, then you'll never hear from me again. --ArcVRains (talkcontribs) 15:49, November 2, 2017 (UTC)

Or are you just incapable of apologizing because you think your paranoia over the Lancers is justified? --ArcVRains (talkcontribs) 21:24, November 8, 2017 (UTC)

It's not your opinions that I care about; it's with how you handled what happened on the Lancers page. After two edits, you threatened to block my account without even trying to ask me to stop, all because you were paranoid DragonEmperor and I were gonna start an edit war. Then you said it was a warning to anyone who would try to mess up the article, only to follow up with how you did it because you assumed I wouldn't have stopped if you had asked me to. That's what I want an apology for. It had been three weeks since I first joined the wiki by then and you barely even knew me, yet you assumed I would have just complained and kept going if you had tried asking me to stop. I would have stopped; heck, I was gonna stop if he had reverted my edit again and take it to the talk page.

Your so quick to point out my faults and say I'm rude, yet you conveniently leave out the part you played in all this. --ArcVRains (talkcontribs) 21:43, November 25, 2017 (UTC)

All that I want is an apology for how you overreacted. --ArcVRains (talkcontribs) 17:54, December 21, 2017 (UTC)

Is it too much to ask for a simple apology? --ArcVRains (talkcontribs) 17:19, December 23, 2017 (UTC)

Couple Things

I don't like leaving behind redirects when moving pages unless your changing from the Japanese name to the official English one.

Otherwise I would it potentially problematic when you've got multiple redirects going to the same page that isn't something like a character page for a series that has multiple characters that have too little info to justify having their own individual pages.

It might also be a good idea the to separate Traps and Spells from Monsters in the Anime Navbox like how the normal Navbox does as to not confuse people trying to see only the monsters of an archtype in the anime. Chimera-gui (talkcontribs) 03:03, November 8, 2017 (UTC)

A preemptive list?

Hi! Long time no see.

I've just got news of the impending Korean release for the EP17 by the end of this month; so I proceeded to add the basic info to the product page; everything fine.

But noticed the KR list was already created a month ago Set Card Lists:Extra Pack 2017 (OCG-KR) as a basic port of the JP one. So, not yet knowing if the KR version will be an exact mirror of the JP one (which I am sure it will not, because the juicy part of the EPs are the "exchange" cards from both OCG regions). What do you think it should be done? Should the list content be deleted? Or should it be left around and updated once the product is out? I think deletion is in order so to not cause false expectations or confusion. --Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 20:38, November 10, 2017 (UTC)

Hey there! What's up?
Ah, thanks for pointing this out! Yeah, no source given and it was a direct copy-paste from the Japanese one. I've now deleted the page, since it contained false info (should have been deleted immediately (shouldn't even have been created in the first place)).
Once you get the info, feel free to add it! Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 20:42, November 10, 2017 (UTC)

LC Kaiba Portuguese list

Why did you delete the Portuguese list of Legendary Collection Kaiba that I've made. If it's incomplete, you should delete the English list too. I make all my portuguese lists on the exactly same format that the English. I make all my edits thinking on the Brazilian and Portuguese community. Make sure when another cards be revealed and when collections be announced I'll add the names in Portuguese who are available and I will make lists for the benefit of the people who use the wiki and just speak Portuguese. Sorry for your page, i am on my cell phone, later I'll edit and organize. THANKS!!! --LuahNerd5 (talkcontribs) 07:22, December 2, 2017 (UTC)

There is no use in having two incomplete lists and update them simultaneously. The English one is there, because cards are revealed. And it's useful for people to check what will be in the set. As for the Portuguese list, sure, could serve the same purpose, but it's not very productive. Furthermore, the English cards are the ones revealed; not the Portuguese ones (at least as a general rule, but not always, I know). Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 12:40, December 2, 2017 (UTC)

Sorry man! I´ll only create the list when the English be complete. I´ll only add the official names. Thanks!! --LuahNerd5 (talkcontribs) 13:31, December 2, 2017 (UTC)

DBSW & SD32

Hi! I just uploaded my cards from those sets; and the numbers haven't been updated (red numbers) and also the images get the red templates when opened; don't know if this is also linked to the red card numbers or it is a simple tweak somewhere so that they display the proper text of "This is from the Unlimited Print of..." etc.

Footnote: Also during this next week I plan on uploading my EP17-KR images, so if you could make those numbers blue and make sure the image templates are there while you fix these two it would be great so I won't bother you for that as well after I am done. --Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 23:47, December 8, 2017 (UTC)

Hey there! Dully noted! I'll get to it when I have more time. Thanks! Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 18:15, December 11, 2017 (UTC)
Did the red numbers manually; only the images template is missing now. And the SPWA Number redirects (which I left on your designated "to do list").--Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 18:19, December 11, 2017 (UTC)
Alrighty! I've added the templates in the meantime. Thanks for the images, as usual! Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 18:23, December 11, 2017 (UTC)

EP17 Fact

Hi. I was visiting the official Korean YGO site and saw a notice for something I am wondering if should or not be added to the EP17 page here. The first runs of product have an error on the box text:

-All Ultra rare cards are also available as Secret rare. -In box actual text: ※ 울트라 레어 카드는 시크릿 레어 카드의 사양으로도 존재합니다.

And KONAMI has already ordered the correction of that; as in this pack that is not a feature, there are 2 Secrets and 4 Ultras and no overlapping rarities.

So I was wondering if that fact should be added to the page because it will be a sure way of identifying 1st run prints from future ones (as there is no longer a 1st Edition for Korea).

--Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 14:18, December 19, 2017 (UTC)

Hey talk:Erdvilla.
So, the only issue was what the box said, right? The cards printed were always correct. Just state this on the first block of text on the set page or add a trivia section and insert it there, I'd say. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 15:00, December 19, 2017 (UTC)
Yes, only the box (and packs inside those boxes) was printed with that info. The set was normal (it would've been cool to otherwise have rarity-missprinted cards from a first run). Ok, I'll add the info then.--Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 16:07, December 19, 2017 (UTC)

Cyber-Stein OTK

Hey, Becasita?

I saw the webpage for the Cyber-Stein OTK, as well as its disclaimer("This deck is considered a Classic Deck"). I am aware that Cyber-Stein got hit by the first ever emergency banlist in 2006.

I have found a new way to perform the OTK. To start it off, you need Cyber-Stein(Duh), Moon Mirror Shield equipped to it, and Clashing Souls. See, I want to put that method on the page, but the disclaimer states that the page's intent is to tell the story of the Cyber-Stein OTK Deck. Am I able to put that method on the page?Surfinbird42 (talkcontribs) 23:35, December 24, 2017 (UTC)

Hello there!
Heh, two things why I'd say you shouldn't bother with it:
  1. Like you said, "This deck is considered a Classic Deck";
  2. We're kinda deprecating those pages. So they don't have much importance;
If you want, you could, though, leave some notes on that OTK of yours at Card Tips:Cyber-Stein (I see you've already edited that very page). I think this is the best you could do; just explain it briefly, if possible. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 17:30, December 25, 2017 (UTC)

Colored tokens

A doubt; how do I specify the color of these tokens from LC03 ? 6 is Pink and 7 Orange. How do I write that on the Set list format so it shows? I want to know before I convert the other languages so I can do it properly. I converted the FR list to test, you can modify it to show me how to add the color bit to the name please.

--Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 00:38, December 25, 2017 (UTC)

Found how to do it on another list. --Erdvilla (talkcontribs) 16:56, December 25, 2017 (UTC)

Card Query params with < or >

hi can you do the same with atk or def params for Card Query too? i wanted to replace it at places like "Sishunter"

PS: i don't know where to report that, but on mobile layout there is a bug in that Table (or in the generic ask table too?), i need to check what is wrong with that. --hanmac (talkcontribs) 17:06, December 28, 2017 (UTC)

Hello there.
What exactly do you want me to add? What's the behaviour you want to achieve?
As for the mobile issue, we have 0 control over it (FANDOM doesn't allow it). Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 16:43, December 29, 2017 (UTC)
i wanted to use it for Sishunder, currently <1500 does hide the atk in the table. you did something with level&rank, so it does show still atk when using card query.
for the mobile table, if the table has empty cells like for Secondary Type, then on mobile, the atk and def values are shown in the wrong column. --hanmac (talkcontribs) 14:24, December 30, 2017 (UTC)
