Page Idea

Hi. I don't edit seriously here much, but I lurk here looking for new info and had an idea for a page. It occurs to me that obviously, the original series, GX, 5Ds and likely Zexal all occur in the same universe, and numerous references are made to events past and present. Perhaps, to keep it all in order, we could have some sort of timeline article so people can see where what events occur in relation to the rest of the series? Delta Eagle

In WC11, the Delta Eagle is called the Omega Hawk (or at least, that's what you unlock, but the other names are fine, like the Blackbird and Wheel of Fortune), is it worth mentioning somewhere? -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 11:43, February 28, 2011 (UTC)

I can do that by changing the firmware language, like... this. (In case you're wondering, the stats in this image are different from the other one because I upgraded the other parts as well, like Engine and CPU)
The Japanese name is different, so I guess you're right about the counterpart bit. Yes, I just noticed that you cannot change the colours for these Frames, so that also confirms that.
On another note, the Japanese name for the Wheel of Fortune can be seen there, can you add it to the Wheel of Fortune page? : -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 06:02, March 1, 2011 (UTC)

Forum:Yusei on xat.com

It looks like this thread is just to troll and spam. Would that be deleted? Siguiendo la luna no llegare lejos, tan lejos como se pueda llegar ♫ 02:13, March 1, 2011 (UTC)

As well as block that user, since that user is being stubborn and revive each time Dark-Shimy done his job. --FredCat 02:34, March 1, 2011 (UTC)
I've started a discussion on the deletion. Rather than continue reverting each other, try to get him to comment on it. -- Deltaneos (talk) 17:04, March 1, 2011 (UTC)

Image question.

"Heliroid" currently has a png card image in the article, but the picture is not very good. A closer shot of the card is show in chapter 49, which I can upload. However, it's in jpg format. Is a clear jpg image preferable to a blurry png image or does it png trump all? Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 03:32, March 1, 2011 (UTC)

Re: Great Poseidon Beetle

That was the English name that appeared in the manga. As far as I know, there isn't a scheduled TCG release for it, so the TCG name isn't set in stone yet. I moved it because it was the most up to date official English name. Should I wait for a TCG release next time before doing so? DemonGodAsura (talkcontribs) 16:28, March 1, 2011 (UTC)

Need some help. MOV2-EN001

Hello, recently I watched Yu-Gi-Oh! 3D Bonds Beyond Time. The movie gave a card with it. Malefic Red-Eyes Black Dragon. I got one but the card ID is "MOV2-EN001" instead of "YMP1-EN001". It is also a Super Rare instead of a Secret Rare. How would I add this to the page? And what else would I need to do to add it? --LordGeovanni- (Talk To Me) *Kupo* 04:20, March 2, 2011 (UTC)

Can you get a pic of it? The card's current image shows a Secret Rare with a set number of "YMP1-EN001". ダイノガイ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 04:24, March 2, 2011 (UTC)

User's breaking a ruling.

I think it's time to remove that topic Mr. Pato have creating. He threw too many cuss words, indeed I do a very little bit compared to him. This article is what I am talking about. I tried to delete it, but he revived it and told me off like that. --FredCat 11:24, March 2, 2011 (UTC)

Kitty's Summary for Episode 150

Though it was not correct or complete, at least I tried to help you'all with this... Kitty's Summary for Episode 150; just let me know what you think and maybe good idea to using for your summary there. --FredCat 18:42, March 2, 2011 (UTC)

So...? What do you think? --FredCat 23:04, March 2, 2011 (UTC)
Good to know that. And the episode is out on YouTube as we speak, so you can soothe it out if you like. I only have a hearing problem so I didn't get what they're saying. --FredCat 23:30, March 2, 2011 (UTC)

Yu-Gi-Oh! ZeXal/MEGA

Why did you delete Yu-Gi-Oh! MEGA. I sent a letter to Japan! I promise! Put it back, please! —This unsigned comment was made by Master Hoth (talkcontribs) 22:32, 2 March 2011 (UTC)

Well, what a happen if they do make this anime series in 2012. —This unsigned comment was made by Master Hoth (talkcontribs) 22:47, 2 March 2011 (UTC)

Oh, and by the way, the letter I sent to Japan said they can animate half of the anime series. —This unsigned comment was made by Master Hoth (talkcontribs) 22:56, 2 March 2011 (UTC)

I'll let you know if I get a letter or not from Japan. —This unsigned comment was made by Master Hoth (talkcontribs) 23:04, 2 March 2011 (UTC)

Editing names in the Search bar

Hello! I've noticed that a lot of times when a card's name is changed (i.e. Inverz to Steelswarm, Tech Genus to T.G., True Six Samurai to Legendary Six Samurai) the change is not reflected in the search bar. I've asked on several pages and forums how to fix this, but haven't received any helpful responses on what to do. Could you possibly tell me what needs to be done to correct these errors? Golden Key (talkcontribs) 16:56, March 3, 2011 (UTC)

Autocomplete, yes! I've been trying to remember the correct terminology for it. Thanks for responding. After I saw how many articles you've edited, I figured you'd either know how to do it or would know who can. The problem exists for many other pages as well, including Gusto (still autocompletes as Gusta). I've looked back through histories, and it seems like this issue goes back to some time last year. Prior to that, when a page's name was changed the autocomplete corrected itself as well. Maybe when the site took on the newest format something stopped working? Thanks again. Golden Key (talkcontribs) 19:16, March 3, 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for the update. I first noticed the problem on November 15, and a made a comment on Karakuri Spider's talk page. It's been bothering me since then that nothing's been done, and then I started noticing the mistake all over the place. Glad to know something's finally being done. Golden Key (talkcontribs) 23:42, March 5, 2011 (UTC)
They fixed it! I checked earlier today and nothing had been changed, so it must have only happened recently. Thanks for bringing it to their attention. Golden Key (talkcontribs) 17:45, March 10, 2011 (UTC)

TF04 and TF05 deck names

Since the deck names only appear in the Japanese version, would a footnote specifying that be applicable in the articles? Someone who doesn't know that fact would probably chalk up the characters having those deck names to be wiki vandalism. Cheesedude (talkcontribs)

I like that solution, but you're right, it does like pretty ugly in MonoBook. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 18:58, March 3, 2011 (UTC)

March 19th Ignition Effect Rule Change

Forum Deletion

I probably should have checked with you first, but would this an appropriate reason for applying a deletion tag here? I would think that as a part of Wikia's network (or whatever it's called), that we'd follow their Terms of Use, as I couldn't find a Terms of Use on our Wikia. DemonGodAsura (talkcontribs) 18:41, March 3, 2011 (UTC)

OK, thanks. Wanted to make sure. DemonGodAsura (talkcontribs) 18:51, March 3, 2011 (UTC)

Tag Teams

The Tag Team members in WC games usually don't appear as individual Single Duel opponents. Since there are tag team articles, there is no need for a separate character article that contains the exact same information, right? Lon3wolf (talkcontribs) 15:35, March 4, 2011 (UTC)

20,000 ATK points and Cosmic Blazar Dragon

DracoX added to the summary of episode 151 that Ultimate Temporal Machine God Sephiron possesses 20,000 ATK. Similarly, an anonymous user added an appearance by Cosmic Blazar Dragon to episode 152. Is there any source for either of these claims? Flame Deity (talkcontribs) 16:41, March 4, 2011 (UTC)

YVD Confirmed the Banlist!

When I first checked on Yu-Gi-Oh! Virtual Desktop to editing the Infernity Deck which is my style deck, I discovered this. Ever through it's Traditional, there are now 2 banned cards; "Cold Wave" and "Mass Driver". That surprised me when I turned it on. Is Konami gone madness or what? --FredCat 21:52, March 5, 2011 (UTC)

Ah, sound like someone who programming YVD is indeed gone madness. Thanks for quickly responds. --FredCat 21:59, March 5, 2011 (UTC)

RE: Chapter 7: Crash Town Incident

wow, Japanese wikis have vandalists too.
For the side events page, a nice list can be found at [1].
Although I had the page bookmarked, I haven't tested any of those yet. Slightly busy with a few assignments atm. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 23:57, March 5, 2011 (UTC)
They're unofficial names, but there are no 'heading' screens or titles when the events occur. The dialogue/events just occur when you talk to the characters. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 00:19, March 6, 2011 (UTC)

Misaki...

Curious why you removed that little part on that section? --FredCat 01:52, March 6, 2011 (UTC)

Ah, alright, no problem then. At least I helped adding the deck recipe anyone need to know. --FredCat 13:49, March 6, 2011 (UTC)

Speed Spell - Deceased Synchron

Yeah WC11 lists it as Deceased Synchron. Maybe there are more Speed Spell name changes, I had only found the real ocg card names that have been changed. I can add these changes too if you want. Oh by the way, since Meklord Emperor Granel TCG name doesn't use the infinity sign after all, I guess Skiel and Wisel don't use it as well. Sorry about that. Redirects

It boggles my mind that the number at the lower-left hand corner of the card always redirects to the card page but the card's original translated name does not. I just got done redirecting several cards to the OCG/Japanese manga names, with the edit history revealing that administrators had deleted the redirects in the past as soon as the page was moved. I just don't it. We can officially say that such redirects are desired at this point, correct? Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 06:04, March 10, 2011 (UTC)

Page Moves

Some of the cards have been moved to their new names, but not by you.

Maybe they have not moved correctly or completely. Also please check Jurrac Gallim, I moved this one (from Jurrac Garim) and I think I haven't done it right.. Lon3wolf (talkcontribs) 14:33, March 10, 2011 (UTC)

Why do I need permission

I was on the list of Rock monsters page and it wont let me see the further results it just says I don't have permission to do so. WTH is up with this now?--Thanonyx (talkcontribs) 23:04, March 10, 2011 (UTC)

Two brief things.

I'm aware of it being romanized on-screen as "Edo", and I usually do call him that myself. To clarify, "Ed" is also a valid (if perhaps not intended) romanization, correct? Also, I was browsing through the 5D's episode card galleries yesterday (nice little reminder of what Yusei's Deck was like before the WRGP) and noticed multiple copies of a card in a given episode being listed that number of times in the galleries. I'm assuming that is the standard style? I don't really care either way how we list it, but I'd like the manga card galleries to be consistent with the anime ones, so I'll probably go ahead and to the GX chapter galleries I've done. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 00:42, March 11, 2011 (UTC)

My first thought would be not to include multiples. That's how I originally wrote out most "Featured cards" sections as well. It's meant to list the cards that appeared in an episode or chapter. Multiplies aren't needed. Other users disagreed and added multiples to a lot of articles. In my view, the card galleries are sort of visual versions of the Featured cards sections, so my first thought be not to include them. However, at the end of the day, it doesn't particularly bother me if they're there. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 01:10, March 11, 2011 (UTC)

Vandalism on Card Ruling pages!

Hi man! From what I'm seeing, even by preventing unregistered users from editing the Ruling Pages, a lot of people can simply create a "quick" account and do the vandalism with no problem. And it looks like that we have vandalisms of the Ruling Pages almost every day.

As you know, the Ruling Pages are one of the most important things for the game so this thing must stop somehow. I just had the idea to increase a bit more the limitation of the users that can edit them. What about something like only registered users with a specific amount of posts can edit them? (200? 5000? 1000?). Then if someone with less posts than the limit want to edit something official (I doubt that), he can ask another admin/user relative with the Rulings to edit them.

I'm saying that because the Ruling Pages are NOT a common page that people can post whatever they want. They must have ONLY specific official stuff, so preventing those users from editing them shouldn't be that much of a problem. By the way, right now only just a few users edit the Ruling pages with official stuff. Almost all the others do vandalisms.

Now, if a user manages to get enough posts just to do vandalism then he goes with the old fashioned way: warning -> warning -> ban

This way I think that we can increase by, not afraid to say, 100% the protection of the Ruling Pages from vandalisms.

Well, what do you say? ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 21:48, March 12, 2011 (UTC)

Ok, I'll post my respond in that thread. Thanks! ATEMVEGETA (Talk) 20:24, March 14, 2011 (UTC)

Card Backing and Bot

  1. I think there are different versions of the Card backing File:StrategyCard-Back-EN.png; The one I have is this (back of DPYG-EN07, Strategy Card 7), what name should I upload it to?
  2. Bots are used to replace certain words with other words right? There's this constant spelling error: (Screenschot --> Screenshot) Should be about 60 times. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 01:08, March 14, 2011 (UTC)

He is listed as "Fake Jack Atlas". Plus I think he only appears in WC11, not WC10. Lon3wolf (talkcontribs) 15:10, March 14, 2011 (UTC)

Re:Eisenstein

I don't know. I wouldn't be surprised if that was something the dub added, but I wouldn't be any more surprised if it was in the original either, since he was based on Einstein in both versions. I cannot find a sub for that episode anywhere online to check either. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 23:52, March 14, 2011 (UTC)
