Maximum Fun Challenge GO!Edit

A OTK with "Divine Wind of Mist Valley", "Genex Ally Birdman", and "Reborn Tengu":

1. Normal Summon "Reborn Tengu".
2. Return it to the hand to Special Summon "Genex Ally Birdman". Get another "Tengu" automatically. Use "Divine Wind" to Special Summon "Genex Blastfan". Use "Blastfan" to add a "Birdman" to your hand.
3. Synchro Summon "Ancient Fairy Dragon" with "Blastfan" and "Birdman". Use AFD to bomb "Divine Wind" and add another to your hand.
4. Return "Tengu" for another "Birdman". Get the last "Tengu" automatically. Use the effect of "Divine Wind" to Special Summon another "Blastfan" and get the last "Birdman".
5. Synchro Summon another "Ancient Fairy Dragon" with "Blastfan" and "Birdman". Use AFD to get a new Field Spell.
6. Bounce the last "Tengu" for a final "Birdman". Use "Divine Wind" to get a final "Blastfan". The effect of "Blastfan" will search "R-Genex Oracle". Special Summon it by its effect.
7. Synchro Summon "Genex Ally Axel" with AFD and "Oracle". Attack with "Axel", "Blastfan", AFD, and the WIND-boosted "Birdman" (2800 + 1600 + 2100 + 1900 = 8400).

Here's the question: Why wouldn't this work?

Genex Ally Birdman cannot attack directly due to the effect of Genex Ally Axel.
Holmez89 (talkcontribs) 03:15, October 19, 2011 (UTC)

Good answer! Makes me realize that the question was unclear. "Birdman" is boosted by bouncing a WIND monster, not by revival through "Axel".

Designless Square (talkcontribs) 22:28, October 19, 2011 (UTC)
If that is the case, then I believe the combo ends at step 2. Would Divine Wind of Mist Valley miss the timing due to the mandatory effect of Reborn Tengu? (If this is true then I deserve a beating for missing it in the first place.)Holmez89 (talkcontribs) 23:47, October 19, 2011 (UTC)

Nope. "Divine Wind of Mist Valley" has an "If...you can" effect that can't miss the timing. But you're close! 75.1.244.63 (talk) 18:40, November 5, 2011 (UTC)

Deck FrequencyEdit

Were You AwareEdit

...that if "Mystical Space Typhoon" is chained to the activation of "Call of the Haunted" or "Spellbook of Life", no monster will be Special Summoned?

...that the effect of "Gorz the Emissary of Darkness" is a Trigger Effect that cannot be negated by "Thunder King Rai-Oh", "Steelswarm Roach", or "Solemn Judgment"?

...that "Chaos Sorcerer" cannot attack the turn it uses its effect, even if the effect is negated?

...that there is no card that instantly Special Summons 1 Token to your opponent's field in face-up Attack Position?

...that you cannot chain the effect of "Constellar Pleiades" to the activation of a Spell or Trap Card by targeting that same Spell or Trap Card?

...that "D.D. Sprite" can banish a Token for its Special Summon?

...that "Elemental HERO Neos Alius" cannot be Set or targeted with "Hero Blast" if its name is declared by "Prohibition"?

...that discarding a "Fabled" monster for "The Fabled Chawa" is not a Cost?

ThanksEdit

Hey thanks for your advice on the Voltic Mill deck a couple days back. It's a relatively unknown deck, so whatever advice really helped. Although I'm not really try to run an average mill deck, so the Book of Eclipse idea was good, but I won't be using it. Also I'm pretty sure Dandylion is semi-limited..you told me to cut it down to one.. Aznskills90214 (talkcontribs) 02:51, January 13, 2011 (UTC)

No need to thank me; I am glad to contribute useless advice. I seem to frequently make the assumption that someone who is using two of a Limited card ("Cold Wave") is using two of another Limited card ("Dandylion"). As I said on the page, I wish there were a word for a Deck that depends on milling to use its effects but does not win by milling cards (like "Lightsworn" monsters).
Designless Square (talkcontribs) 04:08, January 13, 2011 (UTC)

QuotesEdit

Thank you for your formatting fixes to Vairons. Just so you know, card names only need to be given in quotes when they are mentioned in prose. They do not need quotes when in list format. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 15:39, February 3, 2011 (UTC)

I thought so, but I wasn't sure. Gratitudes.
Designless Square (talkcontribs) 19:05, February 3, 2011 (UTC)
No problem. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 20:03, February 3, 2011 (UTC)

Relation?Edit

Your summary in "Mystic Swordsman LV2" reminded me of Dino's usually respond whenever he edited them. So are you really him or his brother? --FredCat 15:39, July 12, 2011 (UTC)

That's prolly another guy. I was just adding the same property to a stream of similar cards; no need to bog it down with an explanation.
Designless Square (talkcontribs) 15:42, July 12, 2011 (UTC)
I meant by "Whee" part, it was post under you. --FredCat 15:44, July 12, 2011 (UTC)
I know. That's what I meant-
Oh, bugger. The mass classification was uncalled-for. "Destroys your opponent's Defense Position Monster Cards" only applies to cards that do that precisely, not cards like "Dark Hole".
Designless Square (talkcontribs) 16:13, July 12, 2011 (UTC)
What the... I don't ask for that, I only reasoning you as Dino's brother or something... --FredCat 16:25, July 12, 2011 (UTC)
I understood that. No, I'm unrelated and unconnected to Dinoguy. Designless Square (talkcontribs) 16:27, July 12, 2011 (UTC)
Well, then please make your own quote and stop stealing other Admins' quotes because of their copyright. --FredCat 16:35, July 12, 2011 (UTC)
Copyright? That's silly. I'll summarize edits differently if you want. Designless Square (talkcontribs) 16:38, July 12, 2011 (UTC)

Your PageEdit

I like your page, but Vanity's Emptiness is a Continuous Trap Card, not a Continuous Spell Card (I suggest moving it).BobaFett2 (talk)

I missed that. Thanks! Designless Square (talkcontribs) 19:03, August 20, 2011 (UTC)

I don't think Burden of the Mighty is splashable. Decks that don't have much ATK like Gadgets can use Solidarity instead, or just cheap removal. As for Messenger of Peace, Marshmallon and Spirit Reaper are better "topdex" since they're harder to destroy. 207.233.120.2 (talk) 02:31, August 24, 2011 (UTC)

There are Decks that excel at monster destruction but not at Spell/Trap destruction, and those that can defend against one but not the other. So it can go both ways. And "Solidarity" doesn't work well outside of Gadgets and Dark Scorpions.
Designless Square (talkcontribs) 20:54, August 27, 2011 (UTC)

Is your signature supposed to have that box around it (caused by indentation)? BF2 Talk Deck Guides 16:19, August 28, 2011 (UTC)

Uh-huh. It's a box. An undecorated box. I don't consistently use it when I make repeated comments on the same page because it would get obnoxious. Or is it already obnoxious if it's intentional? Designless Square (talkcontribs) 16:38, August 28, 2011 (UTC)
I'm not sure. BF2 Talk Deck Guides 16:54, August 28, 2011 (UTC)

ArchetypesEdit

We were actually discussing on moving that to a Family/Series category; instead of an Archetype. At Forum:Archetype_definition_(again)#Recap.
-Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 05:00, August 29, 2011 (UTC)

Archsupport.Edit

Several things. One, "Generation Fish" is not an archetype, despite what the articles currently say. Waiting to see if the guy who put it up has any sound logic for it being an archetype. Two, if it was an archetype, "Fish Rain" would not be support. Even if a card supports every member of an archetype, it's not archsupport. It has to specifically mention the archetype's name in the lore. So "Fifth Hope" is "Elemental HERO" support but "The Sanctuary in the Sky" is not "Archlord" support. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 05:03, August 29, 2011 (UTC)

'Kay, I'll stop for now, and if it's decided that it's not an archetype, I'll take the "archetype" banners down entirely. Thanks for the clarification. Designless Square (talkcontribs) 05:06, August 29, 2011 (UTC)
No problem. For the record, that parameter does get misused quite a bit. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 05:18, August 29, 2011 (UTC)

FL HelpEdit

On "On Splashing"Edit

 • You should mention that Burden doesn't work on Xyzs.
 • Diva would be a better example of a fragile Synchro-maker than Blizzard.

SphinxEdit

Forum:Deck Guide/Sphinx (Anubis). BF2 Talk Deck Guides 00:18, October 11, 2011 (UTC)

The T.G. "variant" is just T.G. Beastdown with the Sphinxes splashed in. They're too high-Level. They don't jive.
Designless Square (talkcontribs) 05:01, October 14, 2011 (UTC)
Resk suggested T.G.s, and it seems like it'd work. I'll brew up a little test deck. BF2 Talk Deck Guides 16:52, October 14, 2011 (UTC)

"Judgment of Anubis" might be better than "Dark Bribe" if all you're doing is protecting your Traps.

Sphinx 2Edit

Forum:Deck Guide/Sphinx (Rock). This time I remembered to double check all my links... BF2 Talk Deck Guides 17:37, October 11, 2011 (UTC)

Good man. This needs expansion. You didn't mention that "Guardian Sphinx" has a reusable effect, which is critical. Expand more on the little flippers.

ZPWEdit

Fortune Lady GuideEdit

Spent more time proofing, Forum:Deck Guide/Fortune Lady. BF2 Talk Deck Guides 00:41, October 18, 2011 (UTC)

Main CardsEdit

Lighty has a "When...you can" effect. An "If...you can" effect can't miss the timing.
Solitaire has 100 less ATK than you think it does. It ties with Airbellum.
"Future Visions" doesn't Special Summon monsters; it just returns them. So Watery's effect doesn't activate.
Bluelink "Shrink" if you please.

Other CardsEdit

MonstersEdit

Split "'Fortune Lady Light and Fire'".
Capitalize "Tribute".
SUBJECTIVE: Consider giving Catoblepas main-Deck billing, as it's more common (and better) than Solitaire.
"Kinka-byo" is used with "Future Visions" to trigger Lighty's effect immediately and set up for "Fortune's Future".
Mention the correlation between the usefulness of "Tragoedia" and the variety of Levels you're packing.

SpellsEdit

SUBJECTIVE: In the TCG, "Nobleman of Crossout" can be used on your Set Lighty to banish it and activate its effect, and sets up for "Fortune's Future". It also works nicely alongside "Future Visions".

TrapsEdit

SUBJECTIVE: "Safe Zone" triggers the effect of Lighty when it's destroyed, can keep Darky alive to gain ATK, and can be chained to its own removal to kill an opposing monster.

VariantsEdit

List "Minefieldriller" in the Deck that uses it.

That's about it.

Designless Square (talkcontribs) 04:51, October 18, 2011 (UTC)

CloudiansEdit

Forum:Deck Guide/Cloudian. Tried out a few new sections. BF2 Talk Deck Guides 23:49, October 18, 2011 (UTC)

I like them Cloudians. Enough that I made a Self-Destruct Cloudian Deck for DN. I am disgusted by how often it wins.

Cloudian GuideEdit

There's only 1 WIND Aqua-Type.

RatingsEdit

The Cloudians do have a draw card ("Lucky Cloud") and also "Card of Sacrifice".

WeaknessesEdit

This section is uncalled-for without a "Strengths" section. It's also...a tad simplistic.

Main CardsEdit

MonstersEdit

Noting the usefulness of each monster would help.

Mention that "Cloudian - Nimbusman" can be recruited by "Mother Grizzly".

SpellsEdit

SUBJECTIVE: Is "Diamond-Dust Cyclone" good? I always thought it was a junk Rare that gobbled the fuel for Altus and Nimbusman. Maybe I'm wrong.

TrapsEdit

"Rain Storm" has been errata'd, but never reprinted. It can destroy monsters. Of course, a dearth of targets still makes it unusable.
SUBJECTIVE: I activate my "Some argue" card! "Updraft" is a bad card for the same reasons that "Overload Fusion" isn't broken at 3.

Other CardsEdit

"Archlord Kristya", you nagger!
Equivocate "Sangan" and "Mother Grizzly". You don't need to say that the bear can't recruit Ghost Fog, but it would be nice if you did.
"Surface" doesn't Summon Fairies, it doesn't Summon monsters above Level 3, and it would Summon them in Defense Position, instantly killing them.
SUBJECTIVE: "Herald of Orange Light" due to hand advantage with "Salvage". Leave or take.
SUBJECTIVE: "Card of Sacrifice" works pretty well, though it can be a dead draw at times.

VariantsEdit

"Beatdown" shouldn't have Grizzly and "Solidarity" together.
Seriously, add Kristya.
Designless Square (talkcontribs) 00:42, October 19, 2011 (UTC)

Thanks. I'll just remove the Weakness section (and from some others), I've found it annoying to write. Diamond-Dust works in conjunction with Ghost Fog - if the monster is Level 4, you get a +0, if it's Level 8+, you get a +1. I don't understand what you're saying about Updraft. I fixed everything else you mentioned. BF2 Talk Deck Guides 01:50, October 19, 2011 (UTC)

I meant that once you've drawn 1 "Updraft", there's no need for the other two. Either you'll win with it or you'll lose outright due to drawing "Updraft" instead of something that actually makes Fog Counters. But I suppose you did mention that.
"Lucky Cloud" is direct Cloudian archsupport; you can't really say they don't have their own draw card. I'd say the article's about done.

You already listed in the Deck Guide for HERO and it won't deserve its own page 'til it tops.
Designless Square (talkcontribs) 06:00, November 17, 2011 (UTC)

The article is a wiki page, not in the Deck Guide. Plus, we have pages for Ancient Chain decks. BF2 Talk Deck Guides 13:43, November 17, 2011 (UTC)

I know the article is a Wiki page--that's the problem. It shouldn't be, not yet.
The Ancient Chain page is written evasively. It should not exist.

Deck GuideEdit

Forum:Deck Guide/Wind-Up. Comments? BF2 Talk Deck Guides 19:59, January 26, 2012 (UTC)

Lessee...

Pros and ConsEdit

SUBJECTIVE: Perhaps you should mention that they're reliant on Special Summons. This seems obvious, but unlike Plants, it's hard to run Ryko, Caius, etc. as cheap removal because the Deck demands Level matching and doesn't stall well without Zenmaines.

In the MetagameEdit

This section has nothing to do with "the metagame". Perhaps it should be called "Loops" or "Xyz Combos".
The bit on Inzektors should be moved to "Variants".

Main CardsEdit

SUBJECTIVE: Explain where "Wind-Up Knight" is used, and straighten up the second effect of "Shark"...
Under "Wind-Up Warrior", change "level" to "Rank" to describe Xyz Monsters.
SUBJECTIVE: Zenmaioh isn't really a +2, because it takes 2 cards to Summon.
Zenmaity can't return monsters that are destroyed by battle--only by effects.

Other CardsEdit

Mention that Birdman can be used to bounce Rat for re-use.
SUBJECTIVE: "Gallis the Star Beast", "Spell Striker", "Elder of the Six Samurai", and the like are used for redundancy, to guarantee that you'll get the loop on your first turn.
Some people use one "Tour Bus From the Underworld" with Tour Guide, to recycle Rat and Zenmaity.
Take out the time-sensitive note on Horn.

VariantsEdit

"Upstart Goblin".
Designless Square (talkcontribs) 23:56, January 29, 2012 (UTC)

Where you list Upstart Goblin in variants, do you mean that it makes good support? BF2 Talk Deck Guides 00:26, January 30, 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for the structured and well-thought out comments. I don't see the time-sensitive note on Horn. As for the metagame stuff - it's predictions, and Inzektor Wind-Ups are supposed to be quite popular. BF2 Talk Deck Guides 00:38, January 30, 2012 (UTC)

My mistake. The "In the Metagame" section contains a list of loops. You should probably separate that list into its own section.
"Upstart Goblin" is used in the Rank 3 Turbo; the extra thousand Life Points doesn't matter if the opponent has no cards to play.
The note on Horn says that it will become popular if "'Wind-Ups' are hit as much as they should be". This statement is subjective and is going to be outdated after the next banlist.
Designless Square (talkcontribs) 22:30, February 3, 2012 (UTC)

Decklist TempleEdit

Show no disrespect, I fixed your deck temple in Madolce Stun topic - I moved your Extra Deck to Monster recipe and fixed the link (from Synchro Stuff to |synchro monsters =) to the most recent adaption. Hope that helps you in future reference. --FredCat 15:21, April 13, 2012 (UTC)
