Yudias Velgear (ユウディアス・ベルギャー Yuudiasu Berugyā) is the protagonist of the Yu-Gi-Oh! GO RUSH!! anime. An alien from Velgear VIII of the Velgear Star Cluster, he was forced to flee his home and learned about Rush Dueling, which he believes can lead his friends and comrades to a new future.

Appearance
Yudias is a tall pale-skinned young man with aqua eyes that have yellow crescent-shaped highlights, red lines below his eyes that resemble scars which disappear in his human guise, and spiky hair in two different shades of light blue separated by a black headset; the front layer has two "horns" or "antennae" resembling rabbit ears, while the back layer spikes up and is a lighter blue. In his true Galaxy Form he wears a closed white trench coat with a red lining and gold lines running down each side of the torso, black leggings, and blue and gold boots covered in segmented armor. He wears a golden bangle resembling outstretched wings at his throat, set with a red stone, a single blue and gold pauldron over his right shoulder strapped over his coat, the strap also holding a blue Deck box, blue hip guards with red edges connected by crossed belts, and carries a sword at his left hip with a golden guarded hilt and a blue blade that is the length of a dagger when sheathed, but can extend to longer lengths. After expiring in Badloon Castle due to the high gravity, Yudias naturally transforms into a state resembling a shirt.

In his human form, Yudias wears clothes to appear as a UTS employee. He wears an orange trenchcoat with a red inner layer and the sleeves rolled up to the elbow, brown belts with gold buckles hanging from the shoulders and waist and thick pouches on each lapel, a larger one and a smaller one above it. He also wears a pink shirt with a dark collar and zip, denim blue pants, dark red gloves, red shoes with the laces wrapped around the ankle and an orange policeman's hat with a brown band and a star-shaped badge resembling a Star Chip, though with six points instead of five, in addition to a UTS badge. When he first appeared to Yuhi and Yuamu Ohdo, he was obscured by a bright white light, and after dimming this light he wore his UTS uniform, though the hat and coat were blue and had a constantly moving white shimmer throughout. His belt was also black and the band on his cap was blue; his cap lacked the UTS badge.

Personality
Yudias is a serious person with a sense for honor and fair play, calling himself a "proud warrior of Velgear". He is simple and genuine with his speech and has little capacity for deception.

Yudias holds Rush Duels in high regard due to the legend about their potential to lead his people towards a new future. While he knows little about the game or how this is to occur, he believes that learning more about Rush Duels will help him uncover a way to stop the conflict that forced him to flee his home. After his first Rush Duel, he comes to enjoy Dueling. While Yudias has a range of powerful alien abilities, he refuses to use them during a Duel as doing so would break the rules, even when his opponents do so, though he does resort to using his sword to defend himself from "Voidvelgr Requiem" when it attacks him during his own turn.

Yudias appears to be held in high regard by others from the Velgear Star Cluster, acting as a leader to the 8.88 million others aboard his ship. When speaking to his people, he displays a flair for the dramatic, making grandiose speeches as they chant his name. This flair also extends to when he takes damage, resulting in him frequently crying out the total amount of damage as a cry of pain. Yudias is also prone to suspicion, accusing Yuhi of some form of dishonesty or cheating several times when he does something Yudias does not understand. In these cases, he goes as far as restraining him and preparing to perform "Vam Bi Do" against him as punishment.

Yudias has a dislike of sacrifice, stemming from the supposed loss of Zuwijo, and applies this to Rush Dueling as he is initially unwilling to Tribute monsters until Manabu Sogetsu tells Yudias a Tribute is not a meaningless sacrifice, but his monsters entrusting victory to him.

At the start of the series, Yudias does not seem to understand Earth technology and culture to any degree. Prior to his first Rush Duel, he was unaware that sealed packs contained cards and seemingly had never placed his Deck container into his Duel Disk before. When told to "handle the phone" as part of his job at UTS, he interpreted this to mean destroying it when it rang. He also initially wears his shoelaces around his ankles in his human clothes, presumably unaware of their true purpose.

Voice/mannerisms
Yudias tends to use older Japanese words and little in the way of contractions in his speech. Uniquely for a protagonist, he uses the personal pronoun "soregashi", an archaic word literally translating to "so-and-so", or an unknown person. Yudias' speech quirks highlight his alien warrior background.

Abilities
Yudias can transform into a shorter human form, which he uses when first meeting Yuhi and while working at UTS; he transforms back into his true alien form while Dueling. While in his true form, he can fire green laser beams from his eyes. These beams can also be used to repair objects he has cut with his eyebeams. He can also emit bright light from his eyes to use as flashlight substitute, an ability he called "Yudias Eye". Given his military background, Yudias is extremely athletic and also possesses superhuman strength, able to shatter ice surrounding his body with ease, though he finds himself unable to break out of a mechanical clamp in the Mutsuba Heavy Machinery Garbage Collection Site #8. Yudias believed this was due to the metal of the clamp including a cosmic component. He appears to be unaffected by both extreme heat and extreme cold. If Yudias runs out of strength and collapses, he transforms into a shirt, presumably as a defense mechanism.

Etymology
Yudias's name contains the syllable "Yuu", as the names of previous Yu-Gi-Oh! protagonists have. However, his name is written in katakana, and thus does not include the usual 「遊」(Yu).

His surname, "Velgear," may come from Bevel gear.

Biography
History
Yudias fought to defend the Velgear Star Cluster during the war that consumed it. On one mission, Yudias was attacked by an alien from the Bow Wow Wow Cluster, who used its dog form to catch Yudias off guard and strike him down with the Wicked Fist of the Beloved Dog. He came to serve under Zuwijo zir Velgear, who he respected as he often imparted wisdom during battle. On one occasion, Yudias witness Zuwijo giving a speech, encouraging them to mold their anguish into anger. During one engagement, Zuwijo was unable to battle and asked Yudias to do so instead, vowing to stay behind and hold the enemy off. Not sooner had Yudias ran from cover, an energy blast struck the stairwell where Zuwijo had been standing, resulting in Zuwijo's death. The incident gave Yudias a dislike of sacrifice.

Eventually Yudias fled his home system on the ship Valvelgear with 8.88 million of his countrymen. During their travels they learned of Rush Dueling, which originated on Earth, and the legend that said it would save the Velgearians. Yudias resolved to seek Rush Dueling out, acquiring Rush Duel booster packs and a Duel Disk from "That Guy".

First Arc
Yudias landed Valvelgear on Earth outside Mutsuba Town during the night, and the next day Yuhi and Yuamu Ohdo found Valvelgear despite it being cloaked and entered. Yudias promptly took off with them aboard and transported them to the center of Valvelgear, where he introduced himself and confirmed he was an alien from their perspective, telling them of the war he'd fled from. Yuhi suddenly challenged Yudias to a Rush Duel that Yudias accepted, though Yudias was surprised to see Yuhi holding cards instead of the packs he had. To Yudias' horror, Yuhi cut one of the packs open, and he furiously bound him in electricity for destroying one of his Rush Duels until Yuamu told Yudias to look inside the pack, which contained cards like Yuhi's that were used to play Rush Duels. Entranced by learning more about Rush Dueling, Yudias released Yuhi and told the Ohdo twins he had come to Earth seeking Rush Duels. Yuamu offered to teach Yudias more about Rush Dueling if he defeated Yuhi, but told him he would have to work for their company, UTS, for free if he lost, revealing UTS exterminated troublesome aliens. Yudias agreed to the conditions and Rush Dueled Yuhi, slowly learning about the game and quickly reducing Yuhi to 500 LP with his Galaxy Type monsters. To Yudias' shock Yuhi drew four cards and Yudias strung him up again for breaking the rules until Yuamu informed him players drew until they had five cards each turn. Yuhi summoned three monsters of his own and destroyed Yudias', telling him a Rush Duel could change at any time. On his next turn Yudias drew "Transamu Rainac", a monster he self-identified with due to their resemblance, and he Summoned it and defeated Yuhi. Overjoyed at winning his first Rush Duel and securing a teacher, Yudias promised to help the Ohdo twins however he could while they taught him, joining UTS and explaining to Yuhi that he hadn't taken the Earthdamar he sought. His first mission was to take care of the phone, but Yudias misinterpreted the request as instruction to destroy the phone and used his eyebeams to do so, much to the twins' dismay.

After practicing with his cards outside the UTS office with Yuhi one day, Yudias accompanied Yuhi and Yuamu on a mission to catch a lost cat. Yudias caught the cat despite Yuhi's protests, Yuhi bumping into the invisible Valvelgear. After returning the cat to its owner, Yuamu noted it was different from the cat she and Yuhi had tried to catch before meeting Yudias. At UTS, Yudias asked what the Earthdamar was, though the twins refused to tell him and Mr. Tazaki admitted he didn't know either. Yudias was pouring water while Yuhi and Yuamu were seeing a client when Yuamu shouted at him to run, and as Mr. Tazaki showed Yudias a way out of the UTS office, Yuhi overheard someone admonishing Yuhi for leaving his cards outside. Realizing Yuhi had done so while helping him, Yudias entered the room where Yuhi and Yuamu were confronting their "client" and accepted half the blame for Yuhi's cards. The boy and his cat explained they were from MIK, and they deported troublesome aliens and allowed others to live in specific areas; upon hearing this Yudias refused to surrender his freedom to them, instead challenging the MIK boy to a Rush Duel by appealing to his warrior spirit. The boy, Manabu Sogetsu, agreed to the Rush Duel, but when they did Yudias was shocked when Manabu apparently attacked on his first turn, though Yuamu explained to Yudias it had been a monster's effect. Yudias counterattacked with "Transamu Rainac" and depleted over half of Manabu's LP, but to his shock Manabu Tributed a monster to Tribute Summon another, a practice Yudias found appalling, as it reminded him of the loss of Zuwijo. He was further horrified to draw the high-Level "Galactica Oblivion", but Manabu explained to Yudias that Tributing monsters was not sacrificing them, as the monsters entrusted their desire for victory to their Duelists. Emboldened by these new revelations, Yudias Tribute Summoned "Galactica Oblivion" and defeated Manabu. Manabu agreed to leave them alone, particularly after Yuamu revealed the number of Yudias' countrymen aboard Valvelgear, and after he left Yudias suggested he was fighting something himself in addition to his MIK duties.

Mr. Yagi taught Yudias to cook yakitori skewers one night, but was attacked by an alien that stole the next batch of yakitori. Yuhi proclaimed it the alien that stole his Earthdamar and rushed off in pursuit with Yudias. They disguised themselves in a yakitori costume, Yuhi hoping to lure the alien out, but only succeeded in catching Mr. Yagi, who had mistaken them for the alien. They then found a girl dressed as the Monster Card "Magical Sheep Girl Meeeg-chan" and the alien they'd been looking for. The girl explained several people had been attacked due to their ownership of "Meeeg-chan" cards or art and revealed herself to be Yuamu in disguise. Manabu and Nyandestar arrived to arrest the alien, Chupataro Kaburagi, but Yuamu convinced Chupataro to Rush Duel over his freedom and Yudias talked Manabu into allowing the Duel, reminding him Rush Duels were the tools of a warrior. During the Duel Yudias learned about Set cards and Spell Cards from Yuhi, interested by Yuamu's High-Tech Dragon Deck and shocked by the power of Chupataro's "Meet and Greed" Spell. Chupataro claimed he wanted to own every copy of "Meeeg-chan" in hops of meeting the real monster, a desire Yudias found profound. Yuamu was able to Summon "Blue Tooth Burst Dragon" and power it up with her "Dragonic Gacharge" Spell, defeating Chupataro and impressing Yudias at winning despite having such low LP; Yuhi explained to him that the Duel wasn't over until you had no LP, so it didn't matter how many LP you had, prompting Yudias to declare RUsh Dueling as truly profound again, After Manabu took Chupataro away, Yudias returned to UTS to continue his cooking tutelage under Mr. Yagi again.

Yuamu took Yudias on a shopping trip one Sunday, a venture Yudias was nervous about doing for the first time; Yuhi had left earlier, so Yudias accompanied Yuamu to the local shopping center. As they were finishing, Chupataro approached Yudias to apologize for his actions and offered to teach him more about Rush Dueling. He took Yudias to Mutsuba Heavy Machinery Garbage Collection Site #8 and they broke in so Chupataro could teach Yudias about Trap Cards. Yudias was wary of trespassing, but eager to learn, and thus followed Chupataro's instructions. However he was trapped by several hazards, upon which Chupataro explained different Trap Cards to him; Yudias was able to escape these traps and warned Chupataro away from them each time. He believed Chupataro wanted to give him the cards and still remaining faithful in Chupataro as a friend even when Chupataro refused, interpreting this as desire by Chupataro to go so far just to show him the cards. The third trap, a mechanical clamp, successfully trapped Yudias and Chupataro claimed this had been his true goal. To Yudias' surprise he saw Yuhi in the Garbage Collection Site, and Chupataro stole Valvelgear from Yuhi's backpack and threatened the Velgearians with the blast furnace unless Yudias told him about the Earthdamar. Before Yudias could answer Yuhi goaded Chupataro into dropping Valvelgear, revealed to be a paper copy Yudias believed he'd prepared for such a situation, insight he praised Yuhi for. Chupataro attacked Yuhi in a rage, but was arrested by MIK agents Yuamu had called, having tracked Yudias and Chupataro to the Garbage Collection Site. Outside Yudias realized the gravity control unit on Valvelgear had been broken and showed the twins how to repair it; upon doing so the Velgearians praised Yuhi and accepted him as one of their own, a sentiment Yudias conveyed to Yuhi, noting a lot had happened that day.

After Yudias accidentally destroyed UTS' washing machine, Yuamu took him to buy a new one, but when they returned they learned from Mr. Tazaki that Yuhi hadn't returned from the laundry. Yudias and Yuamu found Yuhi with Valvelgear at Kappa Heavenly Cleaning as Valvelgear transformed into a Duel Disk for Yuhi to Rush Duel Tell Kawai, the alien who had stolen Yuhi's Earthdamar and who recognized Yudias as a Velgearian. Yudias observes monsters being Set for the first time and learned Tell had stolen Yuhi's Earthdamar to fulfill his thirst for knowledge; Tell commented that Yudias had one himself for Rush Dueling and helped teach him about Trap Cards. Tell pushed Yuhi into a corner, but Yuhi had his "Jointech Bumper", though it struggled to activate, causing Yudias to realize his countrymen were having trouble replicating the Duel Disk's function. Fortunately the Velgearians succeeded in permitting the Trap, destroying Tell's monsters so Yuhi could counterattack on his next turn with "Jointech Rex" and defeat Tell. Yudias noted Tell had found Yuhi as interesting as Yudias himself had and observed the Earthdamar curiously, but to his shock Zuwijo suddenly appeared and stole the substance. Yudias was shocked to learn Zuwijo was alive, but Zuwijo left without heeding Yudias' requests to speak. Manabu and Nyandestar then arrived to inform them Chupataro had been communicating with someone from Velgear and asked Yudias if he knew who, though Yudias was reluctant to answer.

Yudias told the twins about Zuwijo and left to search for him, the twins volunteering to help find Zuwijo, but their efforts came up short after a week of searching, forcing them to return to work to cover the bills at Mr. Omaeno's suggestion. They investigated urban myths; Yudias went to a warehouse where the Flatwoods monster supposedly appeared, but only found a chair and sat down to watch and wait for the twins. When the twins arrived, they decided all the myths they had investigated were false, but to their surprise the chair revealed itself to be an alien, Mitsuko Hiramori, and challenged Yudias to a Rush Duel. Despite Mitsuko using a Trap to power up her monster, Yudias gained an early lead, but misplayed by activating his "Nebula Power" Trap while Mitsuko only had two monsters, keeping "Transamu Rainac" weak enough for Mitsuko to destroy. Mitsuko's tactics caused Yudias to recall the times he and Zuwijo had fought alongside one another, and he began suspecting this was intentional on the part of Mitsuko and Zuwijo. He Summoned "Galactica Oblivion" and powered up his monsters with "Galactica Force" to ensure Mitsuko's monsters would be destroyed, defeating her. Afterwards Yudias called for Zuwijo to come out and Zuwijo did so, asking Yudias to join him in using Rush Dueling to crush their enemies. Yudias refused as he didn't want to fight, and Zuwijo denounced him as soft before fleeing after MIK arrived. Mitsuko was arrested, warning Yudias he would meet Zuwijo again.

Yudias continued to study Rush Dueling using Saikyo Rush Duel hosted by Manya Atachi, but after falling asleep while memorizing the Types he requested training from Yuhi, who eventually agreed. While Yuhi worked on a device to help Yudias, Yuamu showed Yudias Tazaki's garden and Yudias marveled over the beauty and skill of Tazaki's plants. Yuhi emerged with Tazaki's tractor and a trailer for Yudias to sit in while he rebuilt his Deck and answered Manya's Rush Dueling questions. Yudias had barely answered the sixth when the tractor went over a bump and Valvelgear crashed into the console, causing the tractor to go out of control and crash through the fence and a nearby CAFÉ, picking up Manabu and Nyandestar as they did so. Yuhi revealed the only way to stop was for Yudias to correctly answer all of the questions, and Yudias resolved to do so. Eventually he reached the final question, naming all the Types, which Yudias still struggled with until he remembered reciting Velgear rappu while training and used the beat to correctly recite the Types, stopping the tractor at the edge of a cliff. A pigeon then landed on the tractor and almost dislodged them, but Valvelgear caught them and returned them home. Pleased at his progress, Yudias asked Yuhi to train him again, though Yuhi fled at the mention.

Manya, Yuamu's childhood friend, returned to Mutsuba Town to Rush Duel a local team, and Yuamu managed to secure the position for UTS. At the Mutsuba Cable Studio, Yudias met Manya, who acted cold to Yuamu despite them being former friends, and waited backstage with Yuhi and Yuamu as the show began. Manya and Yuamu Rush Dueled first, Yudias witnessing Field Spell Cards for the first time. Yuamu eventually defeated Manya, shocking Yudias with the power of the effect of "Blue Tooth Burst Dragon", and Manya revealed she had been acting during the Duel and still remembered her time with Yuamu; something Yuamu herself had picked up on. After Yudias assisted the MC with a commercial, the second Duel was held between Manabu, who was in the audience, and Manya's dog Bochi, revealed to be an alien who had apparently been abandoned by Manabu. Yudias observed Bochi's Special Summons, recalling Tell doing the same during his Rush Duel against Yuhi, and learned Manabu was heir to Sogetsu Style, but had been forced to train in the mountains after his retainers found him playing with Bochi, while Bochi had got close to Manabu to defeat Sogetsu Style with the Wicked Fist of the Beloved Dog style; Yudias explained the technique to the Ohdos. Manabu countered Bochi's Graveyard strategy with "Chemicalize Salamander", defeating him, and Bochi revealed he had given up the cowardly technique his species relied on to become Manya's protector and that he had wanted to see how Manabu had grown.

As Manya began the third round, despite UTS winning twice, Chupataro suddenly broke down the door and demanded to Rush Duel, carelessly dropping his "Meeeg-chan" figure. Determining something was wrong with Chupataro, Yudias accepted his challenge, and gained a significant lead when Chupataro used a Trap to reduce the ATK of his own monster just to draw "Magical Sheep Girl Meeeg-chan". To Yudias' shock, the Earthdamar emerged from Chupataro's Duel Disk after he Summoned "Meeeg-chan" and entered her hologram, draining Chupataro's energy and bringing Meeeg-chan to life. Yudias learned Chupataro had been broken out of MIK custody by Mitsuko, who had allowed herself to be caught on purpose. Meeeg-chan mistook Yudias for an evil alien from the Black Hole Galaxy and continued the Rush Duel in Chupataro's place, destroying Yudias' monsters with a Spell and then attacking him directly, physically striking him. Though injured by the real attack, Yudias resolved to continue the Duel as there was no rules against monsters physically materializing, but when he Summoned "Galactica Amnesia", Meeeg-chan attacked him again even though it was his turn; "Galactica Amnesia" unable to protect Yudias as it was still only Solid Vision. Despite the rule violation, Yudias refused to sink to Meeeg-chan's level and used the effect of "Galactica Amnesia" to Summon the Tributes for "Galactica Oblivion", powering it up with "Galactica Force" and defeating Meeeg-chan, who vanished after the Duel, leaving Yudias to ask why this had happened as Chupataro was taken away by MIK agents.

After Yudias recovered from his injuries, Manya, Bochi, Kirishima, Manabu and Nyandestar arrived to check up on him. Yudias asked Manabu how Chupataro was doing, learning to his shock that Zuwijo had apparently tricked him and that Zuwijo would be sentenced to cryostasis were he ever captured by MIK. Yudias tried to get Manabu to change this punishment, but Manabu claimed he'd done all he could and asked Yudias if all he could do was beg. Yudias decided to begin training to Rush Duel again from scratch with Yuhi, including learning of Yuamu distracting Yuhi during a Duel by checking her Graveyard. This gave Yudias the idea to determine Zuwijo's location through his tactics, beginning by checking Chupataro's residence for clues. Although they found none there, Manya and Kirishima's suggestion that Zuwijo was looking for attention caused Yudias to realize Zuwijo wanted to make a statement, which he deduced would happen at Mutsuba Tower, the town's central landmark. Sure enough, Yudias and his friends found Zuwijo and Mitsuko at the top of Mutsuba Tower. Yudias was unable to sway Zuwijo's desire to end the war in a swift military victory, believing it would only lead to more fighting in the future, so he and Zuwijo Rush Dueled atop the tower. Like Yudias, Zuwijo also used Galaxy Type monsters but he also engulfed his "Voidvelgr Hecatoncheir" in the Earthdamar, materializing it to the point its weight tipped the platform and using it to strike at Yudias. Although Yuhi failed to make another Earthdamar for Yudias, Yudias assured him he'd received his feelings and was able to destroy "Hecatoncheir" after evading its strikes on Valvelgear. However on his next turn, Zuwijo summoned "Voidvelgr Requiem" and not only materialized it with the Earthdamar, but merged with the monster as well.

To Yudias' horror, Yuhi collapsed and Yuamu urged Yudias to continue the Duel as monsters began to appear around them. As Zuwijo powered up "Requiem" and reduced Yudias to 500 LP, he sensed Yuhi's presence within "Requiem". Realizing that Yuhi could be harmed by ending the Duel prematurely or destroying "Requiem", Yudias attempted to return "Requiem" to Zuwijo's hand with the "Galactica Repulsion" he had practiced with previously, but Zuwijo forced Yudias to discard it. However as Zuwijo attacked Yudias, he suddenly screamed in pain, while the Earthdamar was extracted from Mutsuba Tower by Asaka Mutsuba, causing the other monsters to vanish, though Zuwijo and Yuhi remained within "Voidvelgr Requiem", Zuwijo challenging Yudias to get Yuhi back. Instead of attacking and winning the Rush Duel, Zuwijo summoned more monsters, allowing Yudias to change his monsters to Defense Position with "Galactica Lattice" and survive the turn. Though Yudias remained concerned for Yuhi, Yuamu conveyed a message from Yuhi, apologizing for causing him so much pain and urging him to defeat Zuwijo given he would likely lose consciousness soon regardless. His resolve restored, Yudias was able to sent "Galactica Oblivion" to his Graveyard to weaken "Requiem", then revive and empower "Galactica Oblivion" with "Galactica Rise", destroying "Voidvelgr Requiem" and defeating Zuwijo, releasing both him and Yuhi's soul from the monster. Mitsuko fled with Zuwijo afterwards, and though Yudias thanked Yuhi for helping him win, he was troubled by Zuwijo's Velgearian words when he he was defeated and declared Zuwijo to be hiding something.

Season 1
Yudias uses a Galaxy Deck, composed of the new Galaxy Type monsters. His ace monsters are "Transamu Rainac" and "Galactica Oblivion". Due to his inexperience, Yudias's initial strategies are straightforward, focusing on overpowering his opponent with his high-ATK Normal Monsters and increasing their ATK. Over time he adds more complex strategies to his repertoire, including monster recovery in the form of "Galactica Amnesia" to restore or empower his field and the use of Equip Spell Cards.

Battleship Rush Duel
For his Battleship Rush Duel with Zuwijo zir Velgear, Yudias added several of his friends' ace monsters to his Deck. Due to the high number of high-Level monsters, Yudias includes several Spell and Trap Cards that can Special Summon them directly. As a secondary strategy, Yudias included more "Galactica" Equip Spell Cards to power up "Galactica Oblivion", and his own Fusion Monster, "Eternal Galactica Oblivion".

Season 2
During Season 2, Yudias continues to use a Galaxy Deck. To combat the MIK's use of Maximum Monsters, Yudias acquires "Supreme Skystream Magnum Overlord": A Machine Type Maximum Monster that used to belong to That Guy. However, the cards began to glitch before their first use, so Kaizo rewrote them into a new Maximum Monster: "Supreme Fullsteam Magnum Overlord". He has also included more direct means of removal, such as "Advance Impact".

Trivia
* Yudias is the first protagonist not to originate from Earth.

* Yudias is the first protagonist since:

** Jaden whose ace monster is a Normal Monster instead of an Effect Monster.

** Yusaku whose Deck centers around a new monster Type (in this case, Galaxy).
