User talk:Dragonking

Hi, there as of 4/20/08 I'm kind of new here. To be honest I haven't given my real name or e-mail because I don't particularly want to get so deeply involved, but I'd like to make some friends. I mostly joined because I have a lot of input for some articles I've read, but I'd also like to tell people about my many decks. My best deck obviously employs dragons, but I have a few other interesting decks too.

WelcomeEdit

Welcome to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Wikia, feel free to ask me if you have doubts. You may also like to take a look to our FAQ if you have questions. --Dragon Slayer (Contribs Count) 04:05, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

  • The deckboxes are done by copying and pasting this:
X Deck

Well, when I started as you I didn't knew anything about editing, but by watching other pages I learned. I'm not an expert like many other users but at least I know the necessary. The easiest way is making pages and watching the changes other users make to them to learn more. And if you have any questions you can ask me at any time (I log in everyday, except for some rare ocassions). --Dragon Slayer (Contribs Count) 20:18, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

Unbeatable StrategyEdit

Technically no strategey is unbeatable except the lucky draw of the 5 Forbidden one cards as your hand at the start of the duel. As long as your opponent has at least 1 turn, they have a chance to beat your strategy. Every strategy has more than 1 weakness exept for the Atuo-victory strategies and this one. The one weakness that every strategy has is the difficulty in assembling the required cards in a 40-or-more card deck. The second and above weaknesses that every strategy, with the above mentioned as exeptions, shares is that even once excecuted it can still be beaten by destroying just one of the cards that make the stragegy protected. There are a few possible variations that do the same thing, but this is the strategy I use. I haven't read every article of this site, so if someone else has already thought of a strategy with this idea even if it uses different cards, I apologize. The idea of this strategy is to prevent your opponent from using any cards of any kind against you (easy right). as long as your opponent has no monsters on their side of the field (which can easily be done with cards like Dark Hole or Flash of the Forbidden Spell) You'd be able to use Ground Collapse and Ojama King in combination, to block all 5 of your opponent's monster card zones, thus ultimately preventing your opponent from using any monsters of any kind for any purpose. Then you can use Sorcerer of Dark Magic to eliminate any Trap Cards controlled by either player that cause any negative effects to your cause and allow any trap cards, controlled by either player that would help you, to activate. Finally, you can use Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8 to do the same thing as Sorcerer of Dark Magic, except with spell cards. If you really want to play it safe, you can also make sure that your opponent doesn't use any cards with an effect triggered while said card(s) is in the graveyard with Necrovalley, Macro Cosmos, or Banisher of the Light. Now you have 2 powerful monsters on the field, while your opponent is 100% helpless. You could use Royal Decree, or Jinzo and Amplifier in place of the sorcerer if you feel it simpler to use, but other than that, it's up to you to find the best deck that would help you build conduct this strategy in the fastest way. --Dragonking 16:33, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

  • So your unbeatable strategy is a lockdown or "Perfect Field", there is only one way I can think to get around it and that is Lava Golem, but you can probably use Prohibition against it. Dmaster (Contribs Count) 22:26, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
    • yeah that was kind of the point. Are you on drugs...becuase if you are either get off them or share with the rest of the class. :) and yes I'm a genius. oh and if you do bring out this strategy make sure you have back up because by getting rid of Horus a few stall cards could make your field useless and give your opponent a chance to beat you.Dmaster (Contribs Count) 23:25, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
      • First of all, that I knew the laughing thing was just a joke. And to try to stop any potential arguements the drug thing was a joke in response to thst(as you know), and it is hard to know the difference on a computer so please forgive me and let's end that note too. Second of all, sorry for the confusion and just to clear that up that was for lava golem (as you know). And now sense we are hopefully on equal terms if you want make strategys and I will help you brainstrom if you ask me(He who hires my hand, hires my whole self.). Good luck. Dmaster (Contribs Count) 00:36, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
  • The only problem that I see with this strategy is that most of the cards are either a high level or need specific summoning conditions. Ojama King= The 3 Ojamas and a fusion card. Sorcerer of Dark Magic= Requiers 2 level 6 or above Spellcaster-type monsters. Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8= Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6 to destroy a monster or to activate Level Up. So the only hope for someone to beat this is to summon something like Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon before you get field control. So if your facing someone who has built their deck around quickly summoning Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon you would need to get field control quickly.--ShiningDragon55 23:50, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Defeating the God CardsEdit

This article refers to the 3 origional Egyptian God Cards. It's not like it's hard to figure out, it's just hard to do. the easiest way to beat a deck that focuses on the use of 1 or more God cards is to send the card to the grave or win the duel before the monster(s) is summoned, and there are a million ways to do that. But my article refers to a list of ways to defeat the Egyptian God Cards AFTER all three of them have been summoned (and there are a hundred ways to do that). Since there are so many ways to do this, I have decided to divide these methods by the numerous types of decks I can think of. Each deck theme is capable of defeating the three God Cards, if you include some support cards that don't fall under a particular category (i.e. using Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy yor opponent's Infinite Cards (a card likely to be owned by a skilled user of the God cards). You may find that I have a common combo for eliminating Slifer the Sky Dragon. Some or most decks may have more than one way.--Dragonking 03:37, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

Auto-victory DeckEdit

If you bother to read this paragraph because you honestly can't think of a way, that's pretty sad. I like to think that a good Auto-victory Deck includes almost every Auto-Victory card. I don't know what the name of this category of monsters is, but I am referring to a set of monsters that require three tributes of a monster of their own type and hone the ability to declare an automatic victory to the controler, not only for the duel but for the match, once a direct attack has been successfully made with the monster. One of these monsters would be my very own Victory Dragon. I believe that these, or at least most of these, monsters should be excluded from an Auto-Victory deck, because it would require 3 or more of each monster type (with a few exceptions) in order to summon each one, thus making the deck a little less flexible. However, it may be wise to include a small handfull of Normal Monsters, if you want to include Exodius the Ultimate Forbidden Lord as one of your Auto-Victory cards. Then of course you'd have to include the 5 Forbidden One cards as well, but I'm sure that came to mind first when you read the words Auto-Victory. And let's not forget, If you're going to use Exodius, that means at least one Forbidden One card may end up in the grave, so you might as well throw in Contract with Exodia and Exodia Necross, just in case. Then there's Final Countdown, and Destiny Board and the Spirit Messages. It never hurts to have all four Auto-Victory strategies in this deck, but it is best to use one strategy at a time, so that they can't all be crippled at once with cards like Ocean Dragon Lord - Neo-Daedalus or Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy of the End. Every card reccomended for a Final Countdown Deck is also recommended for this deck, as there aren't that many. Any stalling cards would help too, even one's with a consequence of increasing your opponent's life points. It is also recommended that you include Drawing cards and cards that return monsters in your graveyard to your hand, incase you want to switch back to the Exodia strategy. I'm pretty sure that there's at least one more Auto-Victory card besides these four and the monsters I described earlier, but I'm not sure what it was or if it truly exitsts.--Dragonking 04:21, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

Dragon DeckEdit

  • If you have a butt-load of dragons in your graveyard, then Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon, Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon, and Dark Paladin will be ridiculously strong
  • with one card in your hand, Armed Dragon LV10 will handle them no problem
  • Since a lot of dragons and dragon-support monsters are Dark, Rainbow Dark Dragon should be relatively easy to use and quite powerful when it's effect is empolyed, but no matter what deck you're using this dragon in, Doomsday Horror is the best card to use in combination with it, because it would be very srtrong, and it can help get your removed Dark monsters back. This is especially good in a Dragon Deck because then you can re-use any removed dragons for a monster that takes power from dragons from the graveyard, such as the three listed above
  • Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy of the End can't destroy the god cards themselves, but it can render Slifer powerless. The problem is, it can do the same to you. Since the only places safe from the Emperor Dragon are the Deck, Graveyard, and Removed from play, you can target a monster of your own with over 2000 ATK with Different Dimension Gate, so that it will be safe and the immediatly summoned during the aftermath of your Emperor Dragon's effect. Then the monster you would now have on the field can destroy Slifer the Sky Dragon, thus protecting your other monsters from its annoying effect. Then you can take out the other two with a power-house monster such as Five-Headed Dragon--Dragonking 14:14, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

  • I don't know how to help you. Their have been multiple lores for the Gods, each different. But with the ability to not be effected by spell, trap, and monster effects, my guess come from how they were portrayed in the anime where they weren't. Dmaster (Contribs Count) 00:58, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
    • Try this or the bottom of this Dmaster (Contribs Count) 01:15, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
      • You know if this was an actual "talk page" you would be archiving it soon. That being said you should have been told this but you can make another page for this stuff if you wanted. Dmaster (Contribs Count) 21:17, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
        • "It" meant talk page. An archive is when you copy the page, delete it and make a new talk page to store more data, to see my archive look under "see also" on my talk page. I have been told to archive a about 30,000 charaters and guess what you are almost there. By "this stuff" I meant your deck/stategy stuff on this page. Why should you make it in another section: Organization mainly, and because of how much you add to this page that may be a good idea. If any of this does not make sense, don't worry it is a suggestion and if you still want to know more continue to ask me or User:Tyrant Slayer. Just so you know you would have to say something really stupid or agnorant to irritate me, so you are in the clear. :) Dmaster (Contribs Count) 21:38, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

CombosEdit

A thing I saw, the combos with Different Dimension Gate wont work.Sky Scourge Norleras and Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy of the End only sends the cards to graveyard, not destroy them, so DDG wont return the monster.--Teba64 00:13, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

UmEdit

  • I totally agree with you on this, you should add it to the tips section of the card. Bluedog187 00:32, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

About what you said...Edit

Thats not true. If you see here, it says: "Note that there is a difference between Destroying a card, and simply 'sending' it to the Graveyard." If you look in the monsters lore, it says "send" not "destroy". It only destroys if the card itself says destroy.--Teba64 18:48, 10 November 2008 (UTC)

you do know...Edit

dragon deck are useless against otk decks

If you think about it, any deck is useless against OTK decks. That kinda' goes with the idea of an OTK. Actually, some dragon decks ARE OTK decks.--Dragonking 15:46, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

Phantom of Chaos & Level Down!?Edit

man i just wanna ask a question can i summon a monster if i use phantom of chaos for level down? — This unsigned comment was made by Supremdragonking (talkcontribs) 13:55, 7 July 2009 (UTC)

It came from an official ruling given by Upper Deck Entertainment, so it's most likely correct. It seems to depend on the order of the wording. It says you need the "LV" monster to activate it. It's only after it's returned to the Deck, it asks you to look at its name and select a lower "LV" version. -- Deltaneos (talk) 22:34, 7 July 2009 (UTC)

ALL-OUT ATKSEdit

dude if a gladiator beast monster is special summon after battle phase can it still attack and start another battle phase again if all-out attacks is face up and active on the field ?

  • To whomever wrote and forgot to sign this entry, no. The text of All-Out Attacks states that "all monsters that are special summoned must attack on the turn they are summoned IF ABLE", and does not mention an effect that grants a second battle phase. Therefore, the special summoned Gladiator Beast(s) are unaffected by this card as they are unable to battle. Good question though, I like where you were going with this. "If only", right?--Dragonking 12:47, 12 July 2009 (UTC)

Thanks!!!!Edit

SORRY MAN FOR doing things like this. Thanks for answering my 2 questions though.

That's cool, but you do know that the button between the crossed out W and the small black bar signs your name for you right? It would help to know your username. If you don't have an account already, I can tell you that making one is no big deal. They don't charge you, hold you to obligations, or anything of the sort. Actually, There might be a rule against editing without an account.--Dragonking 15:28, 12 July 2009 (UTC)

  • I presume that you are the same person who has been communicating with me and not signing your statements, so here's what I have to say. I think that you've rushed when you typed this query. the first two sentences don't make sense. Unless I've missed something, I gather that you are asking for my opinion about your dragon deck. The first problem that I have noticed is that you have not included one Synchro or Fusion Monster, making a few of your cards useless: Future Fusion and Dragon's Mirror; and your tuner monsters half-useless. These days, decks that center their strategy on synchro monsters that are easy to summon are more likely to succeed. And in a dragon deck, three fusion monsters (King Dragun, Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, and Five-Headed Dragon) are considered the easiest to summon and most beneficial to have. You have made a fantastic start in building your dragon deck, and I'd like to know how you got those Red-Eyes Wyverns. However, it needs more work. It might help to look up Dragon Support Cards like Masked Dragon, Hyper Synchron, and Decoy Dragon. You are off to a good start because most, if not all of your cards are generally good choices. But try picking other helpful cards as well. If you think there are too many, then pick a winning goal or theme for your deck, like summoning a particular monster, or burning your opponent's life points. You could make an awesome dragon deck if you tried a little harder, but seriously, tell me how you got those Red-Eyes Wyverns.--Dragonking 17:41, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

yo!!!Edit

The wyverns came from many of my friends. I already made a synchro dragon deck it was great but i center the deck like a Toolboxtype. R.E.D.M.D. for revival then prime for counter measures against destructive cards then white of legend for ammo for discard type cost. BY the way this deck is molded by experience and there are fusion monsters "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon"-2 and "Five-Headed Dragon"-2.Also I'm not looking for trouble. peace man."Pasensha lang" (give a little patience)--Supremdragonking 06:55, 19 July 2009 (UTC).

  • I'm not looking for trouble either. Anyway, I thought those were the fusion monsters you were using. I don't suppose you could tell me where your friends got those Wyverns, or am I prying too much? --Dragonking 14:15, 16 July 2009 (UTC)

Armed DragonEdit

Hey there, I was wondering if you'd be willing to part with your Armed Dragon LV7? My friend's birthday is coming up and he's building an AD deck. If you have any cards you'd like to trade for, just give me a shout.

AZNAce 15:44, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

I have none of those. Although I do have money and the local game store sells Gold Series. I believe Dark Armed is in the GLD2? I've done mailing trades before and they worked out pretty well.

AZNAce 01:50, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

That makes me feel kind of guilty. I will most likely get some GS soon. I'll inform you when I do. As for time, my friend's birthday is two weeks Friday.

AZNAce 20:34, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

GS is Gold Series.

Navigation template + archetype naviagtionEdit

When you create a card trivia, tips, rulings, gallery, errata, appearances, artworks, lores or names page please include {{Navigation}} at the top of the page. Thank you. -- Deltaneos (talk) 15:40, November 11, 2009 (UTC)

To add a member go to the card's article and add |archetype1 = Umi (archetype) If it's a support card, use |archsupport1 = Umi (archetype) If it's neither a member nor support, but is somehow connectd, use |archerelated1 = Umi (archetype). If one of those parameters has all ready been used, use |archetype2 = etc.
And the change won't take place immediatly, so don't worry if it's not showing up in the box at the bottom of the page after you make the edit. Just wait a while. -- Deltaneos (talk) 15:49, November 11, 2009 (UTC)

I have written three questions here, here, and here.--Dragonking 15:44, December 24, 2009 (UTC)

RE:Are You Sure?Edit

It's currently under debate. In my opinion, it should not work, since you're not using two Tributes; you're using one Tribute and applying an effect. --Deus Ex Machina (Talk) 22:07, November 16, 2009 (UTC)

Still, you're only Tributing one monster, so it should only be treated as a Tribute Summon with one monster. For example, consider "Cloudian - Nimbusman" and its ruling:
If you TributeUnshaven Angler” to Tribute SummonCloudian - Nimbusman”, it will only count as 1 monster so you will only place 1 Fog Counter for Tributing it.
--Deus Ex Machina (Talk) 20:52, November 18, 2009 (UTC)

There, now it's Dragunity - Andus.PoirotH 12:32, January 19, 2010 (UTC)
