Linking

There's really no reason to link terms every single time you come up, like you did here. Too many links make it look sloppy, and in extreme cases, can result in an article looking like this. Cheesedude 01:52, April 30, 2010 (UTC)

Not actually sure if you're apologizing or just telling me that you don't care and will continue to link everything, to be honest. Cheesedude 00:34, May 1, 2010 (UTC)
Ok then. I'm not a fan of redirects myself. It's not necessary to avoid them, but I usually try to get rid of any I see when editing (though at the same time, I believe they should exist for search functions). Cheesedude 08:59, May 1, 2010 (UTC)

The Winged Dragon of Ra

No need to put the name of the card/rarity in the prefix while they already redirect to the same card. OMG! You did it 02:00, May 8, 2010 (UTC)

I think you should learn to keep it, yet you can do a lot of other stuff. OMG! You did it 02:09, May 8, 2010 (UTC)

Could both of you please calm down? The way you guys are arguing is not going to solve the issue. If you are going to insult each other, rather than have a mature discussion, then please stop. It's neither helpful nor fair. -- Deltaneos (talk) 20:48, May 9, 2010 (UTC)

I know I'm to blame but he started it. He knows my edits of fixing redirects are helpful but he refuses to admit it. -- GrouchMan 20:51, May 9, 2010 (UTC)

Please, I've already asked you both to stop. There's no need for those comments.

Linking card numbers, set numbers and rarity abbreviations as they appear rathering than skipping straight to the target page has been the policy for years. I'm not saying it should never be changed, but if you do want to change it and find and numbers of users expressing concern, you should see what the rest of the community think, rather than try to force it or get into an argument like this one. You could start a forum here suggesting the change. More members of the community should hopefully respond and try to agree on something. -- Deltaneos (talk) 21:02, May 9, 2010 (UTC)
After you go here, enter an appropriate title saying that you're proposing a change to linking on card articles in the box labelled "Add new topic". Click "Add new topic". It will start you off editing a new page. Say what you're suggesting below the text it starts you off with and ask what people think. -- Deltaneos (talk) 21:16, May 9, 2010 (UTC)
Just say what changes you want to make. Say why you think it's better. And ask if people could post their opinions. -- Deltaneos (talk) 21:25, May 9, 2010 (UTC)

Re:Help

Ok, I've read over all of this briefly. If you want to change the style the wiki uses relating to redirects on card pages, start a topic about it in the Forum. That being said, both you and FredCat need to calm down. I recommend you both stop arguing at get back to constructive editing of the wiki. I don't care who started it, you both need to stop. On another note, yes, Deltaneos is an admin, but that does not give him unilateral rule over the wiki. If he changes something, and other users don't like it, he's intelligent enough to change it back and/or attempt to argue rationally for why it's better this way.

For the record, I am not a fan of redirects myself. However, I have no problems with them on card pages, as otherwise they just turn into backlinks. In addition, redirects involving capitalization do not bother me, such as attack position. Cheesedude 23:58, May 9, 2010 (UTC)

That I do not see a problem with, but I don't know if others do. I recommend not changing them until this whole issue is resolved. Cheesedude 00:01, May 10, 2010 (UTC)
Good. I didn't realize he had already covered that when I suggested starting a topic there. Cheesedude 00:03, May 10, 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, I saw. I honestly don't know if we have any policy on swearing, but personal attacks are generally frowned upon on any wiki. I'd ask Deltaneos or another admin. I'm not the right person to ask. Cheesedude 00:08, May 10, 2010 (UTC)
On another note, you were apparently under the impression that I was an admin and used my approval as part of your justification to FredCat. I'm not an admin (that would be cool though), just a very active editor right now. So sorry if that hurt your argument at all. Cheesedude 03:35, May 10, 2010 (UTC)

Re: FredCat's recent comments on my talk page

Your comments on his talk page haven't been very nice either. I'm glad you've started discussing with the rest of the community more politely in the forum. But you are both still attacking each other after being asked not to on more than one occassion. You're only encouraging more bad behaviour from him, when you continue to insult him. And vica-versa. It is not helping the problem. I don't want either of you to be banned. If you can please both behave, that won't have to happen. If he insults you, you do not have to insult him back. -- Deltaneos (talk) 01:34, May 10, 2010 (UTC)

Edit Wars

I don't care who started it, I don't care who's the victim, settle it like adults or you will both be blocked from editing. --Blue (Talk) 01:36, May 15, 2010 (UTC)

Try and reason with him first before dragging this out any longer, if you don't mind. --Blue (Talk) 01:40, May 15, 2010 (UTC)
Could you please show him a link to the forum you were referring to (if he hasn't seen it already)? --Blue (Talk) 01:44, May 15, 2010 (UTC)
Name-calling won't solve the problem, it'll just make it worse. --Blue (Talk) 01:46, May 15, 2010 (UTC)

Spaces in Rulings Pages

The extra lines in the Rulings pages make it easier to edit. Please don't remove them, especially since it doesn't make a difference to how the compiled page appears.

Space In Need.

Oh c'mon, are you feeling very embarrass with childish show in your name? Time to grow up and move on. --FredCat100 01:53, June 6, 2010 (UTC)

Too shy, now time to hatch from your childish egg and be mature. Forgot your past and move on. --FredCat100 01:57, June 6, 2010 (UTC)

Personal attacks

Guys, can both of you please stop attacking each other. You can both be more mature than this. You had a chance to discuss the changes fairly, but this behaviour has disrupting other editors and putting people off trying to reach an agreement on these changes. Trying to force your version is not going to work and these attacks certainly aren't. If you can't discuss a proposal fairly, it's not going to work. You've both been asked to this and given plenty of chances stop this in the past and have been banned for ignoring. If you continue the same will only happen again. -- Deltaneos (talk) 02:26, June 6, 2010 (UTC)

A compromise?

I don't know if you can reply just yet, but how about this: If you really want to make no redirects for card rarities, just add the pipe links behind the card rarity EG [[Common|C]], so as to keep with the templates set since... I don't know, 2006? Thanks! Toob (Leave a message) 14:32, June 8, 2010 (UTC)

  • Uhh also, mind leaving the card set numbers intact? They are there to check if it actually redirects. That being said, nice job fixing (well it doesn't do anything, but no harm either) these odd links. Toob (Leave a message) 14:34, June 8, 2010 (UTC)

Hmm OK. Do u think u want to start going pro? That way you get to know other stratagies etc. — This unsigned comment was made by Crimson88 (talkcontribs)

RE: Edit wars

Look, you are undoing edits that have been discussed as OK, so please stop. You have been doing this since you came on.--Tapper930 (talkcontribs) 16:39, August 22, 2010 (UTC)

Stop

Please just stop. I still prefer your versions better, but the community as a whole does not, as was evident in the forum discussion. Find another way to be helpful. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 03:23, August 26, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks

Hey, just to say thank you because you helped to catch my attention about Big Shield Gardna's flaw. Not that your fault for missing it, I just notice that name made an appearance in the wrong article. Hope we getting along alright in future. --FredCat T.P.F.R.J.R.W.S. 23:09, September 8, 2010 (UTC)

Ain't you, I am part cat so that's why. (shake your green hand) But yea, it's ok after while... --FredCat T.P.F.R.J.R.W.S. 23:50, September 8, 2010 (UTC)

Dragon's Trivia

Just to let you know that I added one more line in that Twin-Headed Dragon Trivia, since I am not sure if you missed that or you just improved the previous editor's mistakes. Twin-Headed Behemoth is also Twin-headed dragon, only effect is lower level. --FredCat T.P.F.R.J.R.W.S. 21:13, September 9, 2010 (UTC)

It's no problem, that appeared when I had CyberDark deck laying around and that dragon came in my mind when I read the one you fixed. --FredCat T.P.F.R.J.R.W.S. 21:26, September 9, 2010 (UTC)

Your Skin

What skin are you using? I can make it so that the "(Redirected from Darius)" line doesn't appear, so that you can stop with all those needless edits. -- Deus Ex Machina (Talk) 02:03, September 11, 2010 (UTC)

There, hopefully that'll work.
Also, your edits are purely stylistic. You might as well be replacing all instances of "grey" with "gray", or replacing "he or she" with "they", or rewriting articles so that sentences don't end with prepositions. It's correct both before and after the change. You can change it, but someone can change it back for the exact same reason, and both of you will be correct. These changes aren't productive.
Anyway, now the "Redirected from..." line won't appear for you, so you can stop it. -- Deus Ex Machina (Talk) 18:05, September 11, 2010 (UTC)
See User:GrouchMan/monaco.css. That one line solves everything!
If you want it to appear across all of Wikia, then you can add that line to your global settings page on the Wikia Community site. I can't do anything to that page, since I'm not a SysOp there, so you'll have to do it yourself. — This unsigned comment was made by Deus Ex Machina (talkcontribs) 18:10, September 11, 2010

Um, the "Redirected from..." line shouldn't appear for you any more. You can stop now with that whole thing where you edit an article to remove redirects. --Deus Ex Machina (Talk) 03:08, September 12, 2010 (UTC)

As I said above, you're only making a stylistic change. You're not helping the community, since the pages are already correct. They're only "incorrect" because they disagree with your personal preferences. We've solved how the pages no longer disagree with your preferences, so there's no reason to continue. --Deus Ex Machina (Talk) 07:41, September 13, 2010 (UTC)
Again, I said you can stop. --Deus Ex Machina (Talk) 05:10, September 17, 2010 (UTC)
Sorry, I didn't notice that it was on the Forum. You might want to voice your opinion there. --Deus Ex Machina (Talk) 05:43, September 17, 2010 (UTC)
You should hold off on doing those "I'm editing this page for the sole point of piping redirects" edits until we sort out whether or not you're allowed to do them. Seriously, we're debating whether or not you're allowed to do that.--Deus Ex Machina (Talk) 00:42, September 19, 2010 (UTC)

Poor PoirotH...

I mean seriously, look at that page as it being rant on and on about abusing the **** powers. --FredCat T.P.F.R.J.R.W.S. 23:25, September 14, 2010 (UTC)

Well, "Then you're just abusing your power" is what I am talking about... look, it's fill with hatred and cruel that I swore he's turn into Werewolf and wrecking anything in his way. --FredCat T.P.F.R.J.R.W.S. 23:34, September 14, 2010 (UTC)
Really, what does he have in his body, Anger Monster? --FredCat T.P.F.R.J.R.W.S. 23:37, September 14, 2010 (UTC)
Ah alright, but that title I put in seem like it's too much for him and they're just bugging him out - almost like bullying him, ya'know? I gotta do what Delta doing, asked him to calm down and discuss what's going on, instead of abusing some crap on him that could make him anger easily. This is why I rather Delta over Blue. --FredCat T.P.F.R.J.R.W.S. 23:44, September 14, 2010 (UTC)
Yea, that's why I went to him and asked him to settle the whole argument down before talk with you. *shrug* --FredCat T.P.F.R.J.R.W.S. 23:52, September 14, 2010 (UTC)
Obviously, the title up above. I just come here to talk with you to know what's going on. At first, I thought that some users don't like the idea of PoirotH till you explained to me the reason behind him being "troll-abusing". --FredCat T.P.F.R.J.R.W.S. 23:57, September 14, 2010 (UTC)
Yea, the other reason why the "Cool-Head" tip was prove better than jump in the gun and fired at the already fire target. Talk about the situation of why that had causing to happen. --FredCat T.P.F.R.J.R.W.S. 00:01, September 15, 2010 (UTC)
Delta finally respond and proved that I have showing some respect... So I just jump in and give an example of how that would work. Since I have load of stuff behind my name. --FredCat T.P.F.R.J.R.W.S. 00:10, September 15, 2010 (UTC)
Indeed. Problem would solve faster that way. --FredCat T.P.F.R.J.R.W.S. 00:22, September 15, 2010 (UTC)

Long time no see...

Ah, welcome back to Yu-Gi-Oh! Wikia, I was almost missing ya and your wonderful annoyance attitude (not in the bad way). So how's your time since? --FredCat 21:57, September 8, 2011 (UTC)

Doing good, I got banned for a week, before you came back to life. But at that time, I didn't fighting with Deus' reasons and logical - it's because it was my fault I possessed the spicy tongue at that time. So do you like how much the Wikia Managers changed this site... I meant; the edit box... the User's profile, etc. --FredCat 22:01, September 8, 2011 (UTC)
Curse at other users, Deus had warning me for like five times before banhammered me to the ground three weeks ago. At least his personality is little better than Blue-whoever-his-face-is... But still, gee - Deus sure get some personality from Blue; like hasty respond (without the "spicy" tongue) and little heat-head that he just respond without discuss with other Admins (like Cheese, who I original casual called him "Coffeedude", check my Quote link for more reason). --FredCat 22:05, September 8, 2011 (UTC)
Well, most of the time, those unregistered users are retarded so I just torching my language in the summary while shove up their unsigned in their crevices. And funny, Deus randomly warned me about moving the questions from bad place to correct place, like Forums. Cheese had a bitch-slap on him to get some sense in him before went off to warning me about foul language. The whole discussion you can see in my Archived Talk Page, which was calling "Filter Whoring". --FredCat 22:17, September 8, 2011 (UTC)
I am deaf; English is not my first language I learned. "American Sign Language" is what he meant. --FredCat 22:21, September 8, 2011 (UTC)
Correct, that exist as real language, like French, Germany, etc. It's nearly soundless when talking to other people who know how to signing. But they required more muscles to moving the arms and fingers. This coming to the reason why I am writer and not artist or sportist, all those craps. --FredCat 22:30, September 8, 2011 (UTC)
If you have experienced FPS games, then you will know the reason. We have to moving our fingers and arms fast enough to going from 1 word to the next word; making a sentence in like few seconds - parallel to people's voice speak the full sentence in 3 seconds without mistake. --FredCat 22:43, September 8, 2011 (UTC)
First-Person Shooter. --FredCat 00:02, September 9, 2011 (UTC)

Long time...

...no dumps. I just heard the alarm from other admins that you went back to old self just little too soon. So how do you doing, buddy? --FredCat 23:40, March 24, 2012 (UTC)

Coffeedude or some admins just undoing your edit in Labyrinth Tank, which brought me here. It's pretty much your preferring to do, hm? ([[Common|C]] is an explanation that he rejected) --FredCat 23:44, March 24, 2012 (UTC)
Never mind, it was Falzar FZ, not Cheesydude... And the second part of your Talk Page link (Have a rotten Day!) is actually from "Wario's World" game... I noticed that when I went to watch 100% playthrough and some comments said that line, most when he beat the boss. Unfortunate, that playthrough didn't ended. --FredCat 23:50, March 24, 2012 (UTC)
Pretty much, so let's hope you can give them some helps (in this site) instead of just put in that little silly non-sense, which only get slapping off by other users. No offense, but you should try better than that. At least, it's your choose. --FredCat 23:57, March 24, 2012 (UTC)
indeed, need a little distract from all those sweat works I had done. Also I was asking by other user to help moving the locked-up decks to other articles, as from "Deck for Free" stuffs... I am still considering about it; but it's not really my cup of tea. Last time you were here, my theory of Yusei being evil/villain was running but now, it's closed as failed - Yusei didn't revealing to turn evil or anything... To know the result; Here it is. Yes, I updated it as well, from some old list into paragraph of explains and shits. --FredCat 00:05, March 25, 2012 (UTC)

User page

Hi, Grouchman. Good to see you around again. I have to ask you to take that picture of Joey off of your user page. You can't have copyrighted images in the userspace. Thanks. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 22:43, May 20, 2013 (UTC)

Redirects

Please stop making edits solely to bypass redirects. You've gotten in trouble for this in the past, and you may be blocked if you continue to do so now. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 05:23, March 23, 2016 (UTC)

I seriously don't get what the big deal is here. -- GROUCHMan (MY TRASH CAN) 16:49, March 25, 2016 (UTC)
The big deal is that redirects are very much not a big deal - bypassing redirects is a minor change, producing almost no visible difference for readers. Edits which only consist of bypassing redirects, therefore, are basically just a step above edits that e.g. only change whitespace. Wikipedia has an entire essay discussing why it is not just unnecessary but undesirable and potentially harmful to edit pages solely to bypass redirects. ディノ千?!? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 00:51, March 28, 2016 (UTC)
You have been told, under this same topic, to stop doing stuff like this. Those edits do not add anything to the page and are completely irrelevant, since the text you changed is not even being displayed. If you want to make such changes, at least add the missing stuff the page requires, please. In case of Diabolos, it's lacking a Korean name and the French, German, Italian, Spanish and Korean lores. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 16:20, May 9, 2016 (UTC)
Again, please stop editing pages just to bypass redirects or add/remove minimal spacing that doesn't affect the page display or just makes the code tighter, like you did here. You've been told several times. If you do it again, I'll block you. Becasita Pendulum (talkcontribs) 21:55, October 11, 2016 (UTC)
