Majin Reply!

Exept one thing, the site I provided is in pure Japanese, while the one you provided is run in English, I think the Japanese know their words better than any foreiner. --Vaati the Wind Demon Jigglypuff. 12:25, October 8, 2013 (UTC)

I know full well what I'm saying, http://kotobank.jp/word/%E9%AD%94%E7%A5%9E, this site has a definition: 《「ましん」とも》災いを起こす神。魔の神。悪魔。 Translation: (Majin) Gods that cause calamities. Demonic Deities. Wicked Demons. --Vaati the Wind Demon Jigglypuff. 12:32, October 8, 2013 (UTC)
How am I complicating it, you have no proof that your site is run by people who know Japanese, I do since my site is Japanese based. And no, Majin does NOT describe a devil, devils are "Demon Rulers", Majin are just powerful demons who cause calamities, not demon rulers. The terms for devil are 魔王/Maou, 悪神/Akujin, and/or デビル/Debiru, devils have horns, Majin do not. Do you even know Japanese, because if you did, you should know this stuff. --Vaati the Wind Demon Jigglypuff. 12:44, October 8, 2013 (UTC)
Well, demons are basically the devil's henchmen, however, the different context the words are used in give it it's meaning, even if they come from the same words in Japanese and the meaning will also change sometimes when two words are merged together. For instance, the appearance, the traits, and the characteristics. Vaati for instance, his full title is 魔神グフー/Majin Gufuu, given his appearance, his traits, and his characteristics, http://zeldawiki.org/Vaati, Vaati is most likely translated as *Demonic Spirit Gufuu*, because he has no real physical body since it's constantly changing do to his thirst for rage and destruction, he isn't a demon ruler since he wasn't originally a demon, but a Minish, and he appears to resemble a large bat and a sorcerer in many different kinds of forms, but yes, Demon is also an accurate translation of Majin too. Sorry if I seemed standoffish, I didn't get much sleep last night. --Vaati the Wind Demon Jigglypuff. 13:10, October 8, 2013 (UTC)

Set IDs

In the future, please don't guess at blurry Set IDs. The Set ID for "Noble Knight Borz" has now been confirmed to be SHSP-EN085 instead, courtesy of the Noble Knight showcase. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 14:13, October 16, 2013 (UTC)

Cyber Dragon SD

I'm pretty sure the following is what the other guys would say, so I'm talking in their stead. What is a "Cyber Dragon"? Is it not mechanical"? Is it not a "light dragon"? ...Admittedly, it's an oblique reference, but apparently the other guys decided to move the name straight to the point. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 21:24, October 17, 2013 (UTC)
And now that I think about it, "mechanical light" is the definition of "cyber" in this sense. So, I think it's ok. (Won't be able to respond for about an hour or so.) --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 21:26, October 17, 2013 (UTC)

Okay, I can kinda see your point. If Japanese Konami really wanted it to be the equivalent "Cyber Dragon Blitzkrieg", then the SD name would have specifically said that. I'll bring this up to the Org, but no guarantees.
(Oh, and I didn't mean the literal definition of "cyber". I mean the definition/connotation of "Cyber" in the game, mostly with monsters in Cybernetic Revolution that wear glowing, mechanical armor and Zane's "Cyber" monsters that are glowing mechanical Machines.) --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 00:43, October 18, 2013 (UTC)

Noblswarm

Ok, thing is, we don't know jack until rulings hit. I know you like putting in effect types, but would you mind leaving it blank in meantime? Japanese effect text doesn't give any hints as to what effect Type it is (same applies for "Gorgonic Guardian", which could be "and", "and if you do", or "also"). For what it's worth, this is being supported by a grey DN admin.
On a side note, yeah, I think Org is okay with "Mechlight", but would rather stick with phonetic Japanese name for that part (but we know that's not going to stick with everyone, even if you like that idea). --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 19:21, October 18, 2013 (UTC)

I meant "Kikouryuu Shuurai". --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 19:32, October 18, 2013 (UTC)

Images

I disagree. Cards that have been released in Unlimited Edition have been known to have text changes, such as Duelist Pack: Kaiba. Also, 1st Edition packs and Unlimited Edition packs are two different things. Even if there is no text change, we always go with the latest release. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 22:49, October 18, 2013 (UTC)

Also, this isn't up for discussion. If you want better card images for those Unlimited Edition cards, you or another user will have to upload them. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 22:50, October 18, 2013 (UTC)
Alright, I'll clarify that then. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 22:54, October 18, 2013 (UTC)
=/ This is the equivalent of "only .pngs of card images should be uploaded, but .jpgs are accepted." It's technically a policy that can't be totally enforced until the entire site has precedent for it, by showing the results of that "policy" on their card page. And it is even more difficult to enforce since people don't focus much on Unlimited Edition card pics (and some that are uploaded are slanted, have horrible quality, etc.). But yeah, we try to enforce where possible. For the REDU cards, the UE card pics aren't as high-quality as the 1E ones, but they are still remarkably good enough to be put on the card page. It's a long work in process... --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 23:02, October 18, 2013 (UTC)

Spanish SHSP spoilers (Rasetsu)

Can you not move pages based on alternate language spoilers? For example, what if Konami had not spoiled "Mistake" on their strategy site, and people instead took the Spanish name "Error" as the actual card name? Reverting in the meantime. This is not aimed directly at you, but at other users as well. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 21:46, October 28, 2013 (UTC)

Moving Card Pages

Can you make sure you uncheck the "Leave a redirect behind" option when you move the associated subcard pages with the card page? Like Card Gallery, Card Trivia and such. You've been leaving redirects behind recently. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 17:15, November 1, 2013 (UTC)

Constellar Pollux, Dodger Dragon, etc.

When the average viewer looks at one of those cards, they'll think it works like a Continuous effect. However, the site said, "At the YCS, Castor and Pollux were ruled to be Continuous Effects." Since this was later overturned, they must *not* be Continuous effects. Also, "...but that they are not a Continuous effect like Atlantean Heavy Infantry that can be negated at any time." I know you have a grammar fixation, but this was not taken to mean that they are a "different kind" of Continuous effect; it was meant to give an example of what a Continuous effect was.
"Photon Cerberus" also shouldn't be taken as a sign that there are different categories of Continuous effects. It's just a Continuous effect that works for one turn. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 19:03, November 10, 2013 (UTC)

Would you mind providing me with a link? I'd like to have accessible to me. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 19:27, November 10, 2013 (UTC)
Yeah, a senior silver admin agreed with me on that to me too; I was just too busy to put it in. They told me to wipe the effect type so there would be no confusion, but I'll get to it later... --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 18:05, November 11, 2013 (UTC)

HD Image Source

Hi I saw that you recently uploaded a lot of LVAL new HD scan of the OCG card but where are you found all of them? in some Japanese website? Can you tell me your source? I'd love to know it because I like to do English proxy translation as soon as they are released :) I hope you can tell me that. Thanks a lot for your work. --EagleOne984 (talkcontribs) 12:42, November 15, 2013 (UTC)

Shinra Field pun

It was just changed, don't worry about it. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 20:38, November 16, 2013 (UTC)

"Reasoning" wording for "Shinra" archetype

Gimme some time to reply. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 22:56, November 18, 2013 (UTC)

It's currently unknown which conjunction will be used without OCG rulings (and/also/and if you do), but "and" is being used since "Spellbook Library of the Heliosphere" seems to have the most similar "3-part" effect. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 22:30, November 21, 2013 (UTC)

Numbers 9 and C9

Hey, I'm just curious.

Why do you think a dome and a canopy are the same thing?

And for C9, where are you getting the word "Spectral" from?
