Decks for FreeEdit

Hey I'm really sorry to bother you but I have something to ask you about the Decks for free Forum.

First and foremost, I at first did not realize that there was a set list of deck builders for the the page and posted several deck designs to help people out before realizing. I would like to ask if this is okay that I have done this.

Second I would also like to put myself forward for the position of a deck builder, (If you need another one that is.) I'm new to the wikia but not to yugioh and I like to think of myself as relativley skilled although there are bound to be many far better myself.

Please feel free to take as long as need to respond to this message I have no wish to rush you if you are busy with other things, although I would at least like an answer to my first question.

"The Oz"

Well here's the Oz deck. The goal of this deck is to get out Master of Oz and just destroy your opponent with him. To start with monsters, we obviously have Big Koala which is an okay two sacrafice beatstick but more importantly one of the materials for Oz. Des Kangaroo is the other material. We have Enraged Battle Ox which works really well with the powerful beatsticks in this deck, especially Oz. Gene-Warped Warwolf is just a very nice level 4 beatstick that fits the theme. Giant Rat has the ability to search out itself and Nimble Momonga for the sake of walling. It can also search out Sea Koala. Green Baboon I figured is a staple in almost any Beast deck these days and I still need some decent monsters to hold the field until Oz is out. Nimble momonga, walling and life point gain. Sea Koala can help you out a lot when you first get out Oz since you can decrease one of your opponents monsters attack to 0 and hit for 4200 damage on the first turn you get him out. For Spell swe have Forest which boosts the attack and defense of all of the monsters in this deck by 200. Future Fusion, getting out Oz. Gold Sarcophagus, getting whatever I'm missing for summoning Oz. Heavy Storm and MST, S/T removal which is very important for this deck since Oz is vulnerable to S/T cards. Polymeization is for getting out Oz. Spiritual Forest, monster protection. Wild Nature's Release, is absolutely deadly in this deck. If you combine it with Oz you have a one hit wonder of 7900 Attack which is scary any way you look at it. For traps we have Call of the Haunted which can be used to get back Oz if he's destroyed. And Dark Bribe which helps to protect Oz from S/T's.

And there you have it. (p.s. I wasn't sure where to post it so I put it on my Profile and your talk page.

"The Oz's" Comeback

Well, I'm back with a vengence. First, you were right. I really took some time to look into the Beast monsters and support and found a few things that really helped me out. Starting with monsters, I took out Gene-Warped Warwolf, Giant Rat, Nimble Momonga, and Sea Koala. In their place I added: Berserk Gorilla, a powerful Beast monster that is affected by all beast support cards in this deck. (I would have kept Warwolf except Soul Swap didn't work on him.) Bloodsucking Koala is the first of two OCG cards that I decided to use in this deck. It serves as an offensive replacement for Nimble Momonga. It works very well with Enraged Battle Ox. I added another Green Baboon partially because I needed a filler, but also because I figured that my deck could afford the life point loss with the help of my Koala's. Finally I added Voltic Kong because he's a pretty decent level 4 attacker but also because his ability helps to control your opponent and limit their options. For Spells, I removed Forest, Spiritual Forest, and a Wild Nature's Release. I added a Card Destruction in their place to help my drawing and mess with the opponent. Trap wise I added quite a bit and took out a Dark Bribe. First, I have Beast Soul Swap. This works very nicely with Wild Nature's Release as it allows the monster to survive while tagging out for another monster to attack. Second, we have Berserking. This card transforms Oz into not only the strongest monster in the deck, but also into the decks best support card by adding 2100 attack to any of my monsters (Except Battle Ox). It will help to activate Bloodsucking Koala's and Voltic Kong's abilities or simple allow a weaker monster to survive while Oz still holds a decent attack for surviving the turn. The last new card is not only the second OCG card in the deck, but also that draw engine you were looking for. Phantom Beast Horn is a trap card that acts like an equip card that boosts the attack of the equiped monster by 800 points. This alone makes any of my monsters formidable opponents, but it's second effect is where it really shines. When a monster equipped with this card destroy's an opponents monster by battle, I get to draw a card. Since all of my monsters will have extremley high attack with this card equipped, you'll almost always draw a card. That's it for the revised edition. I hope you think it's an improvement. But regardless of whether or not you do, I have a question. When using Beast Soul Swap, can you summon the same monster that you sent back to you're hand? And if not, would Interdimensional Matter Transporter be a better choice since it can also be used on Oz?

Well, I've figured it out. I decided to split this deck into two pieces. The offensive version which is the previous one, and one that I've made after really looking into the cards you suggested. This next one is still about getting out Oz (obviously), but it no longer has all of those power houses that the last deck does.

"The Crew"

Meet The Crew. When making a movie, you need the star actors and the directors. These are the hotshots, the ones who get all the fame. But you also have the technical support, the lights, the sound the editors etc. who are also essential for the movie. In this deck, Oz is the star, everything else is his technical support that is essential for the deck to work. The first thing you'll notice with this deck is that all of the beast support cards are gone. This deck is more focused on speed than power so I took them all out to make it move more quickly. I figured that since Oz is strong enough by himself that he doesn't need to much extra power. For Monsters this time, they are all deck thiners except for Des Kangaroo, Mystical Sheep 1, and Sea Koala. Kangaroo and Sheep are for summoning Oz while Koala is here to make sure that other monsters still have a shot at survival without Oz. Giant Rat can search out anyone in the deck except des Kangaroo. Key Mouse can search for Mystical Sheep, Momonga, Musasabi, Koala and itself. Sangan can look for anybody. Mega Hamster, can get the same guys as Key Mouse. Momonga walls the opponent while thinning the deck. Musasabi thins the deck, burns, and blocks the opponents zones. So as you can see, all monsters serve a purpose and can be searched for there by assisting in thinning the deck. Magics present Card Destruction for draw power and messing with the opponents hand. Future fusion and Poly for summoning Oz. Gold Sarcophagus, search power. Heavy Storm, MST, are S/T removal. And Pot of Avarice allows me to reuse my monsters as necessary and add draw power. For traps I stuck with Call of the Haunted, and Dark Bribe. I added Good Goblin Housekeeping for draw power, and Waboku to protect my weaker monsters when necessary. Well, this is the best I could think of for a non Beat down style Oz deck. Of course, Oz still has to do some beating when he's on the field or you won't win. And just in defense of my previous deck, didn't we all focus on the Archaic beatdown style when the game first came out?

A couple of things...Edit

1. I had some spare time last night, so I tried to organize the Decks for Free! page, and take up a number of requests. I also added statuses on the currect requests (Finished, Taken, ect). I hope you don't mind, but I also took the liberty of deleting some requests that I felt were abandoned (I didn't touch any of the old requests that you recently offered to help), or didn't fit the ruling criteria. I apoligize if this is out of line, but I feel that I did do the page some good.

2. One of the requests that I'm working on is for a "Absolute Lock" deck that negates every aspect of the opponent's strategy, and I seem to recall you making some sort of Secret Village Decree lock deck that ran Destiny Hero - Plasma, for a user on Decks for Free!. I checked the archives, and couldn't find the deck. I was merely wondering if you still had the decklist, so I could look at it and possibly get some ideas.

Decks for free!Edit

Sup, its me u5h3r. I was wondering if you need another deck builder, especially cuz your little poll says so. I'm pretty experienced, currently running Sabers. I somewhat specialize in budget builds that don't include things like Mirror Force, Solemn and such. I usually curve away from meta decks, making deck types that are original and uncommon, like burn, psychics, rituals, codarus, spiders, etc. They usually turn out good but I'm sure they could be better. I probably won't be a consistent poster like most of you guys but If you've noticed I usually post every few days or so, depending on when I get around to it or feel like it. a little questionsEdit

this is about zombie strategy which made me quite confused when i dueled an opponent.

He summoned Vampire Lord on his field then tribute it to special summon Vampire Genesis from his DECK. can he summon from the deck?
Then with his genesis, he discard Ryu Kokki and special summon from his graveyard a Il Blud on his field in which case, Ryu Kokki and Il Blud are both of same level, can he do it?
And then, He uses Ultimate Offering to normal summon his Il Blud to gain the effect and summon Ryu Kokki onto his field. Valid?

i met this guy that uses fortune lady and he uses this Future Visions and according to him, the moment normal summon is made, the monster is removed from play for one turn before coming back the next turn BUT the effect of the summoned monster can be activated (there is this fortune lady, i forgot which type it is, magic/trap card destroyed when it is summoned successfully), he destroyed those on my field before removing the monster from play. Sorry for bothering you again, but now I can give prices for cards, and since you seem a bit understaffed for Decks for Free (I think Akiza said something about 70 left, or something), I would love to help. Also, about the Master of Oz deck that I posted, I'm sorry; I was just trying to help the guy out with a substitute until a deckbuiler got to him. I noticed that you were the one that deleted it, so I guess I shouldn't have done that, and I'm sorry. I can complete atleast two decks a week, depending on the demands. I'm very interested. As for why I couldn't do prices before, I hadn't bought any cards online then, but then I started selling some of my rarer cards and bought news on begin to learn values. If you're wondering who i duel against, I do it against the top-duelists on my three world championship games, then I duel against my buddies (I usually just write down the names of the cards I'm using on some paper and duel, as I don't want to waste a ton of money buying the cards). If you're wondering the skill level of my friends, they each have local-tournament winning decks (Gadgets, Blackwings, Infernities),and also, I'll be happy to do the trial.

A Dark Counterpart DeckEdit

Okay, I have worked several hours and have had over 30 duels with this deck, and it's worked surprisingly well. The only real problem it has is with cards that don't target, since that doesn't fulfill Dark Illusion's requirements, but it does help if the monsters destroyed can be used to summon DAD, Rainbow Dark Dragon, The Dark Creator, Darklord Zerato, or Dark Neptyhys. Lemme know if you ahve any questions and concerns, and since this is my trial I'm supposed to post this here, right?

I apologize for the delayed reply. I did an "Aitsu, Soitsu, Koitsu and Doitsu" deck request once so I was just asking if I need to do anything to it since you are discusscing changes to the thread. For example, do I need to add the "FINISHED" tag?

It seems you are having trouble with the request, I agree with the idea of strictly ignoring any request that break the rules. Furthermore, the requesters should be encouraged to sign up for an account. Otherwise, it will be a hard for the deckbuilders to reply to them.

If you have any other problems, you can always ask me. I can also take up a request anytime. One more thing, I would like to help with the Deck Guides. I'm thinking of creating a Darklords guide. Yubel/ Decks for FreeEdit

Thank you for taking an interest in the Yubel deck. If it helps, the main issue I have run into when dueling with it is dead draws, or rather being unable to come back from dead draws. Ex: I have no monsters on the field, I draw the Yubel, and end up losing half my life points from battle phase, and Gorz is already toasted.... Thanks again! However, the issue about which I posted is (to me) an important one, and it hasn't been resolved even now, nearly a fortnight after the question was first asked. It will take me a couple of days to write down this recipe because I will have to give my mother the laptop. Ok then the recipe is already finished. I will put up another recipe and it will be my new quick summon recipe.

A suggestion..Edit

About the Decks for Free! forum.. I was thinking that we could possibly close off any and all new requests for a period of time, in order to regroup and catch up on left behind decks; not to mention the sudden overflow of requests that's come in over the past week. We could simply put up a "sign" across the top of the page that we won't be accepting any new requests until further notice.

I only really have two decks I've made; a shoddy morphing jar/ negation one, and my Kuribohs (they do seem to work well, especially against decks built to either swarm or bring out a very high attack monster[s]). I'll post the kuriboh deck as soon as I can, and I'll start the archive work this weekend. Just one question, are you okay with me deleting the posts after they are archived or do you want to this yourself? My plan was to start at the oldest finished deck, and work my way down. I started to add in some of the decklists, and reorganize the alphabetical sections in the first gallery to be in alphabetical order, to make adding the the new decklists easier, and to make the page easier to use... I have a question or two about your Dark Magician deck that I found in the Decks for Free archive. I recently came off of a 7 year Yu-Gi-Oh break so there is a lot I don't know about how the game is played today. However, I have been picking up a lot over the last 3 months or so.

I want to say that I really like how the deck looks. I am honestly considering buying all the cards online and playing with it.

First question: Why are there 3 Musician Kings if there are only 2 Instant Fusions?

Second question: If you were to take out the Dark Magician, what would a good Spell Counter deck look like?

I just came across this page(Deck guide) whilst looking for an interesting read. Wondering whether you possibly need help with the watt deck guide, as I just finished making a fairly successful watt fissure deck against the current meta. Although it doesnt incorporate all the watt monsters, i think it includes the key ones like watt giraffe/watt hopper. I also changed the decklist for 1/2 a year and built it by trying out different styles, and using the other support cards. Like the burn style, aggro style, and lock down style.

only problem is I am not too good with posting so I will probably need help or a spell check if I am to make the guide straight on wikia.
